Jacob was destined to lead his family's buisness with high hopes of wealth and glory... which were cut short by the unexpected pregnancy of his then-girlfriend. While "there" for his son until the boy grew up, Jacob largely turned away from responsibility and instead focused on his new job... with the Rebels. Today, he is extremely high within their ranks.

Though technically a teenager, Sofia acts notably younger, retaining an eternal childlike innocence. She never runs out of energy, and loooves to talk to everyone, though the recent bombings have humbled her a bit. When her best friend Harvey ran away from home, Sofia decided an adventure with him sounded fun, and has been on the road ever since.

While on the way to visit her brother, Justice lets her Togekiss take a break in the Tanglethorne Jungle and is greeted on ground-level by Seles and her Ditto, Duke, who has taken the form of a human. They introduce themselves and, as the conversation continues, Justice tells the woman where she's going, which prompts Seles to mention that she, like Justice's brother, is also a knight!
As the weather starts to pick up in an uncharacteristic snowstorm, the group looks for cover and finds a small hut in which they can take shelter and set up camp. Seles tries to make it more comfortable by releasing her Arcanine, which causes long-supressed memories from Justice's childhood to start coming back. While she is able to quell them at first, they prove too much and the girl eventually breaks down from her fear of fire and Fire-types. As she hallucinates that the hut has caught fire, Seles, Duke, and the other Pokemon present all try to calm her, to no avail.
Eventually, it occurs to one that if they can just find the Togekiss's Pokeball and release her, perhaps she will be able to calm the poor girl. After a brief search, they are able to find it and the Togekiss successfully comforts her trainer. After some time of letting Justice calm and offering as much comfort as she can manage, Seles mentions that she wants to meet someone as well: her cousin, who was once captain of the royal knights. The difference is she has no idea where he is and is searching for him rather than just going to visit as Justice is. Eventually, the storm dies down and they start to head out again, ready (they can only hope) to face whatever is in store.

PLEASE reply to this topic letting us know if your character's affiliation, occupation, or I suppose orientation changes. The latter two are nice, but affiliation is rather important. Birthday alerts are appreciated as well but are easy enough to track ourselves if you don't. Thank you. 'x3
Out of curiousity, SG conducted a statistical survey, and thought some of you may find the results useful or at least interesting. I'll try to keep this topic updated at least once a month or so. ^^
Including all 241 approved full characters (no NPCs or WIPs), VC's character base currently has the following stats, as of the 8:00pm EST, Oct 22, 2011.
(Activity of players is not factored unless the character has been archived; all bios in the approved character board are counted.)

x'D You don't know HOW hard SG is working to NOT have tons of characters. If Ether hadn't approved the NPC plan, I'd totally end up with like 10 or 11 just related in some way to Alaric. x'3 Then Kali, of course. Then SG is currently planning a Scotsman, a random guy with a secret evil (from player not character perspective) purpose, and a Jay/book-inspired chick posing as a dude to have become a knight in the past who still poses convincingly as a straight dude most of the time but is actually a slutty straight chick when she drops her persona. Also SG wants to make a 97-yr-old man who believes he's a wizard. xD And a 6-yr-old girl with an evil Drifloon who she thinks is her best friend because it's too physically weak to succeed in its evil attempts.
... x3 Technically I could make random dude a FORMER gang member and give him past ties to Kamui or something, depending on how long that's supposed to have been around? Since I DID intend to have him have had a fairly wild past that he's trying to escape now, anyway... x3 Iunno.

x'3; No honey.. We lost one, and... 'xD; Numbers do NOT even out more, at least for gender. We gained notably more guys than girls, AND had more starting out. x'3 At this rate, next check there will be twenty-some more guys than girls and so-on. 'xD;

xD There's already an old gay dude Flor. The three gay chars are South's Riley and Auxy's Puer, who are around their players' ages, but the third is Ether's Osiris, who is 56. x'3 So yar.
Speaking of Layton, he might like the Baltoy that's in the Shelter right now. o3o Just thought I'd mention that before I forget for the sixtieth time. x3
