Ambitious Nobles meanwhile vie for power, though others simply wish to keep what they have. Others are Loyalists, believing some former-royalty could end this anarchy. Then there those who see a prime opportunity, and others who don't care at all. Some form Gangs, fighting for personal gain or unique causes, while others are more interested in the resurfacing of Shadow Pokemon. And naturally, there are those who just want to ignore everything and live their personal lives. There are no clear lines in Era.

Jacob was destined to lead his family's buisness with high hopes of wealth and glory... which were cut short by the unexpected pregnancy of his then-girlfriend. While "there" for his son until the boy grew up, Jacob largely turned away from responsibility and instead focused on his new job... with the Rebels. Today, he is extremely high within their ranks.

Though technically a teenager, Sofia acts notably younger, retaining an eternal childlike innocence. She never runs out of energy, and loooves to talk to everyone, though the recent bombings have humbled her a bit. When her best friend Harvey ran away from home, Sofia decided an adventure with him sounded fun, and has been on the road ever since.

Homeward Bound -------------------
While on the way to visit her brother, Justice lets her Togekiss take a break in the Tanglethorne Jungle and is greeted on ground-level by Seles and her Ditto, Duke, who has taken the form of a human. They introduce themselves and, as the conversation continues, Justice tells the woman where she's going, which prompts Seles to mention that she, like Justice's brother, is also a knight!
As the weather starts to pick up in an uncharacteristic snowstorm, the group looks for cover and finds a small hut in which they can take shelter and set up camp. Seles tries to make it more comfortable by releasing her Arcanine, which causes long-supressed memories from Justice's childhood to start coming back. While she is able to quell them at first, they prove too much and the girl eventually breaks down from her fear of fire and Fire-types. As she hallucinates that the hut has caught fire, Seles, Duke, and the other Pokemon present all try to calm her, to no avail.
Eventually, it occurs to one that if they can just find the Togekiss's Pokeball and release her, perhaps she will be able to calm the poor girl. After a brief search, they are able to find it and the Togekiss successfully comforts her trainer. After some time of letting Justice calm and offering as much comfort as she can manage, Seles mentions that she wants to meet someone as well: her cousin, who was once captain of the royal knights. The difference is she has no idea where he is and is searching for him rather than just going to visit as Justice is. Eventually, the storm dies down and they start to head out again, ready (they can only hope) to face whatever is in store.

Zen thought for a moment. "Well, I fell behind a bit. He met his friend, and I ran into some creep that kept trying to do.. things to me." Zen says, trying to explain what they did, but didn't want to say it plainly.

Soujirou seemed to frown a little and nodded his head slowly. "Ah..." he answered back turning his head to one side and then the other before finally sipping his drink again rather slowly. "And then... Alvaro and his friend didn't defend you?" he finally asked making sure he got this last part fully correct for all it was.
Zen was still recalling the moment, and he slowly shook his head no. "He told me that I got myself into it, and that I had to face my own battles, and he started to walk away. I was crying so much by that point... and I screamed at them all... and ran as fast as I could. The man... I think he called himself Axe or something.. didn't follow." Zen says slowly as he sat there.

Sou blinked a moment suddenly grasping just about everyone aside form maybe the friend's and the perpetrator's points of view... which then actually narrowed it down to just Zen and Alvaro's. What was rather curious though was the idea of 'starting' rather than just complete walk away....However, Soujirou wasn't going to press the matter too hard on wording of that rather than the wording of the prior. "Maybe he assumed that you'd push through it on your own...." he answered back slowly looking at Zen with an honest face. It sounded cruel to some degree, but in the end, Soujirou himself had done it with students to make them stronger. It made one push past things in the face of danger....
Zen looked at him and looked a bit confused. "This guy was old though! And he had some really scary pokemon with him, and he expected me to get away from him? He wanted to fight me too! I had my sword out, and he was holding a bunch of daggers!" Zen says quickly. He was really starting to worry about it more, as he kept bringing up more and more about it.

....."So then maybe he didn't want to get cut up?" Sou finally answered back with a half frown. "The fact that you both had weapons out meant you were trying to kill him, yes?" the midnight blue haired ninja instructed asked.
Zen thought about what he said, but he shook his head no. "I got it out to scare him off. If I didn't, he would he just kept trying to do things!" Zen says quickly. He was starting to get the feeling that Sou was against him, not with him.

Soujirou brought a finger to his chin in thought at this before finally standing up, moving and sitting next to Zen, before side hugging him. "Alright... but your safe now," he stated rather calmly breathing inwards and then out again. Now the question was what to do now. However, a sudden light scream hit the air, and suddenly Mei came running back into the room. Jumping rathr quickly onto the couch, she practically clung to Sou. "S-s-spider!," she whimpered.
Zen calmed down a bit as he was hugged and simply leaned and got closer to Sou. "Thank you.." he says slowly. He then saw Mei come flying into the room and stared at her for a moment. "You don't like spiders?" he asks. That then brought back the image of the spider that Sen had and caused him to shiver.

Soujirou pulled Mei up into a more comfortable position on his lap. The young girl looked at Zen and shook her head violently frowning greatly at the words. She hated them! >~< "Bad bugs!" she stated aloud. Sou half smiled and then looked back at Zen. "Spinarak and Ariados are not unheard of here, and they're rather large bugs... Mei seems to have developed a fear of them..." he sighed a little. The shiver hadn't gone unnoticed, but Sou would leave it alone for now.
Zen seemed to go blank for a few moments. His eyes were fixed on next to nothing. His eyes stared around as the image formed again. He kept imagining the Ariados hissing at him and threatening him, and his Hitmonchan not being able to stop it.. and Sen trying to do things to him! He suddenly shook around to snap out of it and stared at Sou and Mei. "I.. I'm sorry... It's just been bugging me..." Zen says. The very word Bugging started to sound worse and worse to him. What... was wrong with him? O_O

Soujirou seemed to frown a little. "A few of the students have some spider pokemon," he stated aloud. "But I'm sure it will be fine." Mei stuck out her tongue and shook her head a little before finally sighing to herself. "Stupid bugs," she muttered to herself. "Anyways-..." Suddenly a knocking came from the door. Sou looked over, sighed, picked up Mei, set her on Zen's lap, stood up, and walked to the door. what came as another young man with a rather flat face and short red hair could be seen. "Sou, there's a problem at the academy," the man stated. Sou sighed and looked back. "Zen would you mind looking after Mei for a bit. I promise to be back as soon as I can."
Zen was somewhat silent as they talked, but once he was addressed, he nodded. "I can do that, yeah." he says with a smile. He was still a bit shaky though, and was worried that he might run into spiders. "So... How old are you?" he asks with a smile.

Sou nodded his head and then left with the red haired man rather quickly as both ninjas headed away. Mei sighed outwards quietly before suddenly realizing that she was being addressed. Smiling a little, she looked at Zen. "Four!" she answered back in a rather matter of fact format. "How old are you?" she asked returning the question. It was rather nice to have someone to talk to... Usually when Soujirou left... he normally had her stay with the old woman that was in the tree not far off... and that was no fun >3<.
Zen looks at her and smiled. "Four, huh? You look much older than that ^_^ I'm Sixte- Wait... on my way here, my Birthday passed and I didn't get to celebrate! DX I'm Seventeen now!" Zen says, feeling kinda worse that he didn't have anyone who even knew that he was older now... DX

o3o Mei blinked slowly a moment before a thought hit her. "Wow! You're big!" she finally answered back before giggling a little to herself. "Daddy says big people all go to school...so do you go to school?" she asked after a few seconds.
Zen started to think and looked a little confused for a moment. "No.. I guess not ^_^ I'm learning on the road though. I left school a bit early... though you shouldn't ever do that." Zen says with a confused look. He still felt a bit sad about missing his birthday. How could he forget that!?!

The young girl turned her head to one side and then giggled a little. "Why'd you leave?" she asked after a few seconds not really worrying about whether that was a good question or a bad one. She tended to speak her mind in all instances, it seemed.
"I left because my parents were very bad, unlike your's. ^_^ You won't have to though." Zen says with a smile. "Promise me you won't leave school when you're bigger, please :3" Zen says with a smile. ^_^ He didn't know if she would or not, but he figured he could try.

The young girl's eyes seemed to grow and then shrink again. "Ok.." she answered back nodding her head a little. "I wish mommy's come back..." she sighed a little as her face fell. Shaking her head a moment, she looked back up at Zen. "Daddy said... she went to a far away place called heaven and won't come home..."
