Welcome to Era, a once-prestigious kingdom, and now a mere shadow of its former glory. Rebel forces have dethroned the monarchy, aiming now to bring down the nobility. Ambitious Nobles meanwhile vie for power, though others simply wish to keep what they have. Others are Loyalists, believing some former-royalty could end this anarchy. Then there those who see a prime opportunity, and others who don't care at all. Some form Gangs, fighting for personal gain or unique causes, while others are more interested in the resurfacing of Shadow Pokemon. And naturally, there are those who just want to ignore everything and live their personal lives. There are no clear lines in Era.

Again, there are no clear lines in Era. As such, many characters have more than one affiliation.
Be respectful, friendly, and PG-13. Listen to staff and be nice to each other and guests~ Lower end of PG-13 for the box, too, generally, please. People can avoid topics they don't like, but the box is just kind of out there in the open.
Dark font only, please. Lighter colors can clash with some skins.
When discussing works of fiction, no spoilers. If you want to discuss too much, make a topic in the Socialize board. Kthxbai~
Do not link adoptables and/or ask for clicks. If you want to put something in your signature on the board, that's cool, but asking is just annoying.
Have fun, or face the consequences. D< (The consequences may involve chocolate.)

Homeward Bound -------------------
While on the way to visit her brother, Justice lets her Togekiss take a break in the Tanglethorne Jungle and is greeted on ground-level by Seles and her Ditto, Duke, who has taken the form of a human. They introduce themselves and, as the conversation continues, Justice tells the woman where she's going, which prompts Seles to mention that she, like Justice's brother, is also a knight!
As the weather starts to pick up in an uncharacteristic snowstorm, the group looks for cover and finds a small hut in which they can take shelter and set up camp. Seles tries to make it more comfortable by releasing her Arcanine, which causes long-supressed memories from Justice's childhood to start coming back. While she is able to quell them at first, they prove too much and the girl eventually breaks down from her fear of fire and Fire-types. As she hallucinates that the hut has caught fire, Seles, Duke, and the other Pokemon present all try to calm her, to no avail.
Eventually, it occurs to one that if they can just find the Togekiss's Pokeball and release her, perhaps she will be able to calm the poor girl. After a brief search, they are able to find it and the Togekiss successfully comforts her trainer. After some time of letting Justice calm and offering as much comfort as she can manage, Seles mentions that she wants to meet someone as well: her cousin, who was once captain of the royal knights. The difference is she has no idea where he is and is searching for him rather than just going to visit as Justice is. Eventually, the storm dies down and they start to head out again, ready (they can only hope) to face whatever is in store.
(See link at the top for greater detail of the above and more plot thereafter! Thanks to Tere for this detailed desc and various smaller help with these spotlights.)
If you think the name is bad now (that J sounds like a Y, by the way~), just keep in mind that it was originally Jörð Ríkir. This old city was founded long ago by a Viking-like civilization, and retains strong hints of the culture laced through it today. This said, it is actually one of the most modern cities overall, arguably regarding plant life and without question regarding eco-friendly technology. The inhabitants can come off as a little intimidating, but don't worry. They're generally very friendly and welcoming of outsiders, and are even more than used to having their city's name butchered. That said, it's probably best to avoid littering, throwing away recyclables, or emitting any kind of pollution in public here if you know what's good for you.
Built in the style of gothic architecture, a lone tower resides on the far mountains of the East. It was built as a haven for Flying-type enthusiasts where they could view bird pokemon above the clouds. Today, the inside staircase has long since crumbled, and the only way to reach the top is by flight.
Many trees had to be demolished to make room for this city. Loggers and woodsmen make their homes here. Although there are skyscrapers and other more modern buildings, there are even more log cabins. Some are large and ornamental while others are more modest.
This mysterious structure was made long ago. Its crumbling and overrun with moss and other wildlife. Many Pokemon and some people live here. This is a sacred place to those of the east. There is rumored to be treasure hidden in the temple, but that it would be bad luck to take it.
This old logging camp is still in use, but only barely. There are several unused, run-down buildings from its peak of operation, as well as hundreds of tree stumps in the surrounding area. Also, a river runs through the middle, aiding the logging-work. Some Pokemon have made their homes in both of these, as well as making a general nuisance of themselves to the few remaining workers there.
This forest appears to be burnt and withered. Its trees almost never bear foliage. It holds dangers that one would never think of. People who come back from the Haunted Forest understand how it got its name. Pokemon are few and far between, and the ones that you do find are mostly ghost types, or dark types. If you dare to go far back enough you will find an old cottage that has stayed in surprisingly good condition. Back a little ways behind the cottage is a large graveyard. No one knows who or what is buried there, but the headstones are creepy looking, and they don't look cheap either.
In one corner of the eastern forest is a wetland perfect for aquatic pokemon. The trees here lean and fold on one another, often blocking out the sun. It is cool even in the summer, but it smells terrible. The muck in some places is almost inescapable, so it would be best to watch your step.
A part of Oberon Swamp, this park is unique in that it houses ancient pokemon. A doctor has resurrected the pokemon from fossils and set them free in the park. You can try to catch them, for a price.
This smaller section of the Eastern Woods seems to exude a mystic sort of aura that is both calming and unnerving. Mysterious lights are known to hover about the area, but only at the edges of one's vision. The land is incredibly fertile, or so it assumed. Nothing brought by man will take root, but the natural foliage thrives. Occasionally, small flowers or vines may even spring up to full size from nowhere in minutes or less. The Pokemon here are generally inviting to those who wish to share its beauty, but take heed any who try to disturb it, as even the trees are said to ensure the offender will rue the day.
Taking into account of the natural forest setting, this castle was built around the natural trees and foliage of the area. The gardens around the castle are a wide range of trees and plants that have been arranged to keep a fluid aesthetic look. There is a rather large stone and metal gate around the castle, and on the gate at the front reads a sign "No Fire or Ice Types out in the area without permission". This is the home of the Duke of the Eastern Woods, Feliciano Rossi as well as some family members.
Just outside Evergreen city is a clearing which would amaze even the most experienced gardener. Over many years this place has accumulated many flowers and they have been arranged in a very artistic manner. Topiary hedges in the shape of pokemon are common here as are wood carvings and totem poles. In one shadowy area there is a large intricate maze. Some who venture into the maze never make their way out.
A huge area of trees and clearings in the Eastern Woods in which most of the Pokemon are oddly friendly, fighting only on occasion. It's not as dense as the outside view makes it seem; in fact, some areas are nothing but large, grassy clearings, which Pokemon seem to enjoy the most. These areas often have trees that have become houses or hideouts with things attached for others to play on. Atop a little cliff, one large tree stands above all others, allowing people a place from which they can truly marvel at the view. Near there is a river that is deep enough to swim in, but not so deep and strong that you'll get taken away with it. This area has been free from war-related problems for the most part.
The buildings in this town are built out of and around the natural trees in the area. Most buildings are up off the ground, yet there are plenty of bridges to get to each. The town has been known for its defense due to its personal army of people trained to use illusion techniques and move about in the forest with silent tactics. Long ago, the people of the village made a treaty with Era and officially accepted being part of the kingdom. However, they have become more hostile and defensive through the fall of the kingdom.
This ominous stretch of woods is arguably the creepiest place in Era, but it isn't wandering spirits or savage demons you'll have to look out for: it's bugs! Difficult to traverse for all the webbing and nests strewn throughout the half-bare trees, the Hive is a haven for all manner of creepy-crawlies. Little else can live in this horrid environment, though a few burrowers have managed to take root, and some brave birds do occasionally drop in in hopes of finding a meal.
Lying on the southeastern edge of Era, this jungle is always warm and incredibly humid, especially around the river running through its heart. It is said some natives predating Eran civilization still live here somewhere, but no solid evidence of this has ever been found, so the stories of seeing people in the trees and other strange events are most likely only legends. Rather, the appeal of this place for most comes from the Pokemon natives- rich and diverse and wild, though this isn't to say the incredible array of fruit or breath-taking sights are bad either. A large cliff marks the southern border of this jungle, and the waterfall flowing off it proves a popular attraction.
