If there was one place in the Southern lands Kero loved the most it was near this tower. His pokemon were in complete agreement as well. The place was perfect for flying pokemon. They had lots of room to spread their wings and play. Even Kero’s Swablu would set aside her shyness to play with the others. While they all played it gave Kero a chance to pokemon watch. Everytime he came here he grew excited to see if another flying type pokemon would come near. It was how he had caught Swablu after all. He had Charizard had been relaxing at the top of the tower when she landed next to them to rest. Back then she was still pretty young. It had been about a year since then.
He had seen quite a few flying pokemon around here. Most just happened to fly away before he could challenge them. That even included the pidgey and Rufflets he commonly saw. It didn’t matter though. Someday he would have all the flying pokemon out there. He had no problem waiting for the right ones to appear and join his team.
Today however, he had no real hopes of catching a pokemon. He was more interested in letting his pokemon out to play while he caught up on some studies. As it was, Kero currently had two flying pokemon and one ghost type. That meant he had no real defence against trainers who used Electric, or rock pokemon. Charizard and Swablu were both really weak against them. It was true that they all had other weaknesses too, but in Kero’s mind these were the two he needed to work on first. See, if he was up against a water pokemon then Kero could simply use Swablu or Gastly against them. But when it came to electric or rock types he could only use Gastly. If Kero could learn defences against the these types of attacks then perhaps he could turn the weakness into a strength. This meant he had some studying to do. After that he would have to start training the pokemon to see how effective it would be.
“Come on out and play guys.” Kero announced as he called out his three pokemon. Swablu and Gastly instantly flew off to play. They had been told this morning that they were coming here and both had a few games planned out. Charizard on the other hand stayed behind and watched Kero as he began spreading out his books. Once Kero was settled down Charizard took flight. Though he didn’t go far. Kero didn’t know this, but Charizard didn’t want to Kero out of his site. If his partner needed him he would be there in an instant. Charizard was always worried an incident like what had happened when Kero was a child would occur again. It was one reason Charizard rarely went into his pokeball as well. Perhaps he was being a little over protective but Charizard didn’t care. He would rather be safe the sorry. The pokemon just didn’t know what he would do if he ever lost his best friend.

Somewhere on a large branch amongst the larger trees in the area near the tower (that also happened to be relatively close to the tower itself, in truth), a green haired man could be seen sleeping rather oddly with his entire form all but sitting up. His shoulders and back remained pressed against the central part of the tree while his arms crossed over his chest and his knees flopped out sideways in either direction. Alvaro Gean was dreaming... who knew exactly what, but a rather interesting smile remained on the face of the man as he enoyed whatever it was. Floating only a meter away, Stella seemed to look blankly around the area. She'd abide by the words that had been given to her to keep an eye out while her green haired master, yet that was the most of her actions. "Mmmm..........." a half sound escaped Alvaro as he opened one purple eye and stared forwards. "Stella?" he asked lightly to which the Shuppet turned rather calmly towards him. "Ah, my dear you look well," Alvaro stated aloud before taking out a pokeball and returning the pokemon. "Though I don't think I am..." he sighed a bit at this and shook his head feeling rather odd... probably just the general strain on his muscles from sleeping the way he did, but the green haired man was unsure of it fully. "Ah... totally forgot what I was supposed to be doing..." the green haired man sighed shaking his head before looking downwards towards the ground below. In half a second, he leaned straight off the branch, and with that, the sound of soft boots hitting the ground could be heard. "Oh well........" he yawned a bit starting to walk around a bit. "I'll remember sooner or later...."

Kero had his books spread out all around him. Many of them were open and a few had bookmarks stuck inside them. Currently Kero was reading a few things in one book then looking at another for reference. It seemed he was deep in his work as he hadn’t noticed anything else around him. Charizard was still flying around, enjoying the wind as it spread through his wings.
Meanwhile Swablu and Gastly were playing a game of tag. Well kind of. Gastly has tagged Swablu and she had been ‘it’ ever since. The problem was, she just couldn’t catch him. Every time she would get close he would disappear and reappear in another spot. Yet she didn’t get upset or give up. She just kept on trying despite her disadvantage. They had been playing for a while when Gastly looked down long enough to notice a green haired man. It was that moment of distraction that Swablu finally tagged Gastly. She was so proud of herself that she began to sing out loud. Gastly didn’t seem to even notice that he was tagged. Instead he floated off, leaving Swablu alone.
He was making his way down the stranger. You see, Gastly just couldn’t help but introduce himself to everyone he saw. This made no exception for the green haired man. It didn’t take long for him to get down to the man. What was his introduction? The same intro he used on everyone he met. He went invisible for a moment then quickly reappeared in front of him. He was upside down and his tongue was sticking out as far as it could. Gastly even let out a small “Blahhh!” Sound this time.
Swablu, now upset that Gastly had ignored her, flew down to Kero. She was almost in tears and just had to tell on Gastly for being mean. When she made it to her trainer she noticed how deep into his studies he was. Wanting attention from him, she decided to stand on the book he was reading. Before he could get mad at her she look up at Kero and gave him the saddest look possible. Kero was instantly confused and a little worried.
“Ahhh, whats wrong Swablu? Weren’t you playing with Gastly?” Kero asked causing Swablu to instantly start chirping as fast as she could. Kero couldn’t really understand what she was saying, but he was trying his best to pay attention. It was then that Charizard, who had still been flying around noticed Gastly and the green haired man. With the site, Charizard decided to make his way back to Kero. The moment Charizard landed, Kero looked up at him.
“Any idea what’s upsetting Swablu?” Kero asked Charizard. Charizard replied with a small huff then looked towards Alvaro. Kero looked in the same direction, noticing the man and gastly. “Oh.” Was all that came out of his mouth as Swablu continued to chip out her sad story.

For a good few seconds, the green haired man stared at the Gastly that had appeared before him. However, in another moment, he simply smirked. Taking four fingers (two in each hand), he pulled the sides of his eyes and the sides of his mouth backwards before sticking his tongue out as well. "Blarrrg," he answered back to the Gastly as though assuming that it was some sort of greeting... either that or he was playing with fire... in which case, that didn't seem to faze the green haired man in the least either. After a few seconds, he let go of his face and allowed it to return to an easy smile. "The name's Alvaro. Nice to meet'cha," he finished rather lightly taking a rather dramatic bow before standing fully again with an easy grin on his face as he addressed the Gastly. He had yet to notice the human in the area but probably wouldn't have cared either way at that point. Now the question came to the green haired man's mind, and he turned his head to one side. "Ya know, I didn't think wild Gastly were around here," he stated holding up a finger and then resting it on his chin for a few seconds. His neon-green hails seemed to shimmer with a high amount of gloss (probably too much for just about anyone) and could have been a distracting mechanism (or hate mechanism) for just about anyone or anything. "What are you doing around here?" he asked finally.

Out of all the reactions Gastly had gotten from people with his greeting, never before had he gotten one like Alvaro. For a split second Gastly thought that the man would be afraid or disgusted. Those were the two reactions he got most often. Sometimes he would get laughter from them. But never before had he ever gotten a face back. It caused Gastly to stare at Alvaro for a moment before bursting into laughter. Along with the laughter came a few flips in the air.
Gastly finally stopped laughing when the man introduced himself. It made the pokemon smile before replying with a “Gastly Gast.” The man was so polite. It was very different from his trainer. Maybe Kero could learn a thing or two from Alvaro. Just the thought of it made Gastly giggle to himself. When Alvaro stood up straight again Gastly attempted to bow as well. Of course the pokemon had no arms or legs to bow properly. It merely looked as if he was looking down then up again. It had been worth the try.
Gastly listened and watched as the man put a finger to his chin. He had mentioned not seeing wild gastly around these parts. At first Gastly didn’t really clue in that the man was talking about him. It took a moment for him to realize that the man might be hinting on the reason Gastly was out there. Then, like a bolt of lightning, Gastly remembered he had left Swablu all alone. Quickly he turned around, looking up at the sky to see if Swablu was still there. She wasn’t of course. He then looked over to where he knew Kero was sitting and sure enough, there she was. Sitting there still complaining to Kero about being left alone. Sometimes Gastly felt as if Swablu took things too personally at times. It wasn’t his fault he got easily distracted by new comers.
“Gastly. Gastly.” He finally answered Alvaro as he floated around in circles. He was trying to explain that he been out here playing with his friends. Most likely Alvaro had figured that out already. But Gastly wasn’t always the quickest thinker of the bunch. It took a lot of effort for him to pay attention to small details.
Kero wasn’t really paying attention to the other man or Gastly. He was just too busy trying to calm down Swablu. Charizard on the other hand hadn’t stopped staring at the green haired man. He was making sure the man wouldn’t be making any sudden moves. Why? Because Swablu was out. Charizard knew Kero and Gastly could take care of themselves. When it came to Swablu though, he felt a even more protective over her then he did with Kero.

Purple eyes shifted sideways towards where the Gastly had been more or less directing the idea, and upon finally seeing the man, Alvaro blinked for a moment and then half laughed. Ah, that made sense~ So that was hisGastly most likely. However, if the trainer didn't feel like associating or just hadn't noticed him either, the green haired man was cool with that to. Each to his own, neh? Leaning forwards, he slowly started up in a hand stand and then leaned backwards before standing up again. "I can't float like you can," he half laughed explaining that he had been trying to mimic the Gastly's movements. "But I'd say it was good enough eh?" he asked putting his hand together and turning his head to one side. He continued to stretch his arms as though now tired of keeping them in one place which was possibly very true. He wasn't one to sit still to sit still (which had ironically also landed him with the parallel of a baby pokemon, heh....). Oddly extending one leg out to the side, Alvaro found himself stretching said appendages in the air as he continued to look at and more or less address the Gastly. "So do you travel then?" he asked rather easily.

Gastly couldn’t help but laugh when the man stood on his head. At first he didn’t know what Alvaro was doing. Gastly only laughed more when he found out he was trying to float. He gave a few nods in agreement for a good effort though. He liked this Alvaro person. He wasn’t sure why but the man made him happy. It was like the first time he had met Kero. Maybe if Kero met him, they would get along. Then gastly could play with Alvaro again.
“Gaaaastly.” Gastly replied with a happy nod when Alvaro asked if he traveled often. He was about to continue to explain some of his adventure when the sound of Kero’s voice rang in his ears. It almost sounded as if Kero ahd walked up right behind him.
“Would I be able to borrow my Gastly for a moment?” Kero asked in a rather dull voice. He had indeed been behind Gastly. The young man had finally come to the conclusion that the best way to make Swablu feel better again was to have Gastly apologize. So he had set the tiny bird pokemon onto his shoulder and made his way over to them before asking his question.
“Gastly you need to apologize to Swablu for abandoning her.” Kero explained to his pokemon. That explanation was follows by a small chirp from Swablu which was then followed by a small huff from Charizard. Charizard was translating everything Swablu was saying. Kero didn’t understand why but for some reason he could always understand what Charizard was saying. Sadly it wasn’t the same for Swablue. “And for running away when you were ‘it’.” Kero added slightly rolling his eyes. Swablu could be rather stubborn when she wanted to. At lest it was a nice change from her normal shy self.
As Gastly and Swablu began talking to themselves Kero turned his attention to Alvaro. He wasn’t sure what he thought of this man yet. He didn’t look like a noble but then... he didn’t not look like one either. Perhaps Kero could give him the benefit of the doubt. Though there were other reasons behind that as well. From far away the thought that ran through Kero’s mind when he saw Alvaro was ‘Man looks like a lady.’ But up close he was kind of... well... really attractive. Not that Kero would ever admit that aloud.
“Kero Blackthorn,” He introduced himself, giving a very small bow.

Purple eyes turned away from the Gastly for a moment as he noticed the other man was now addressing him....no the Gastly. Ah, after a few seconds of watching the rather surprising conversation, Alvaro simply resolved to put his hands in his pockets and roll his shoulders in a general boredom. However, upon being addressed, the green haired man seemed to turn his attention back. “Kero Blackthron,” had been the introduction as the other man gave a bow. Alvaro simply returned the bow with ease making his a tad deeper though before rising. "Alvaro Gean," he answered back in mid rise before leaning up fully again. Well this was somewhat fun~ kind of... eh..... Somewhere in the back of his mind, Alvaro thought to question what sort of last name that was, yet after a few seconds, he simply resolved not to worry and go on with it. It wasn't like it mattered to him anyways. After a few seconds, he allowed his eyes to shift away from Kero and towards the Gastly. "Your Gastly's pretty interesting," he said aloud looking at it and half smiling. "Rather fun little thing, reminds me of Desu and Ring a bit...." he stated aloud thinking of his own pokemon. Ring... that mildly demonic little creature who loved pranks above just about everything else... upon hearing his name seemed to twitch in his pokeball in Alvaro's pocket, yet he was far from breaking out on his own given that he had no will against such things on a general basis. "So just kicking back or what?" Alvaro asked lightly and with a rather easy smile on his face now fully addressing Kero again.

“A pleasure.” Kero replied to Alvaro, his pale brown eyes slowly looking the man over. He had one of the oddest wardrobes Kero had seen in a long time. Yet it suited the green haired man well.
Kero looked towards Gastly when Alvaro mentioned him. The pokemon had been through mid apology lick when he stopped hearing his name. He did a few twirl’s in the air in excitement. Swablu on the other hand was a bit stunned from the disgusting, half lick she had just received. Now she would have to spend hours cleaning herself later on. At least she had forgiven Gastl for leaving her all alone.
Desu and Ring? Kero wondered if they were ghost pokemon as well. He figured they had to be pokemon as not many people were like Gastly. Actually Kero had never met any human like Gastly. “I apologize if he bothered you at all.” Kero replied, “He really likes checking out new people.” There were a few people who had gotten the same greeting from Gastly as Alvaro had. They on the other hand hadn’t been so impressed. Some had even gotten mad at his pokemon. Something Kero never understood but had gotten accustomed to. He was trying to teach Gastly not to force himself upon others but the pokemon just got too excited to hold himself back.
‘Oh wow this man’s smile is heart melting. ‘ Kero’s mind whispered. “Well the pokemon were ah, having a play day.” Kero replied to Alvaro’s question, sounding a little nervous for some reason, “I was just researching uummm, a few things.” A small smile had spread on Kero’s face in return. Though it didn’t look as natural as Alvaro’s smile. Even Charizard seemed to noticed how nervous Kero was sounding. It caused him lower his brows before looking at Alvaro then back to Kero in confussion. What was wrong with his trainer? Was he feeling sick or something?
“What were you doing out here?” Kero then asked before adding “If you aren’t in a hurry you could join us for some lunch. We’ve got more than enough food.” Now Charizard was even more confussed. Kero rarely if ever asked someone else to join them for a meal. Not unless it was a noble or guest at the manner. What was so great about this Alvaro guy that Kero would ask him to eat with them?

A light laugh came from Alvaro when he had heard the apology for the Gastly. Making a light gesture with his head, he started to speak on that. "No worries~" he answered back with ease. "Ghost pokemon always do have the most interesting of personalities." This... was truth to Alvaro, yet it wasn't the only reason why he liked them. Ghosts were, after all, the closest thing that came to the living dead... And though Zombies would probably all but startle the green haired man at first, he would probably associate with them all the same given his previous occupation. Upon hearing the answer to his question, Alvaro seemed to nod a bit rather slowly but retaining his general expression. Ah, well being outdoors was always fun~ He would have asked what Kero had been researching if not for the fact that a question for him had appeared. He half smiled even more all but completely oblivious to Kero's slightly unnerved nature at that point. As the question was more or less returned, Alvaro was about to actually think up an answer that would make a bit more sense than what had first come to mind when the second response caused him to blink a moment. Eh? Well~ That wasn't bad at all. "I actually have no idea what I was doing out here," he finally answered back with a light grin on his face. "I woke up just a bit ago and couldn't remember what I was supposed to do today. Eh, not like it matters, really, I was more just happy to wake up alive again, hahahah." After a few seconds of lighter laughter, he went to answer the second question. "And that'd actually be great. I haven't eaten yet, though I must warn you, I've been known to eat a lot more than what one would expect." He laughed a little more and then stepped forwards a bit and more or less waiting for Kero to lead the way rather than walk straight over. "So what were you researching? Looking for a vacation spot or something?" the green haired man continued on rather fluidly.

“I find they are a bit more care free as well.” Kero replied when Alvaro told him ‘No worries’. He lifted his shoulder a bit to wiggle his still grumpy Swablu. Gastly just continued to smile, sometimes making a face to see if it would cheer up Swablu.
Kero couldn’t help but smirk at Alvaors answer to why he was out here. He wished he could have such a care free life. For some reason Kero rarely left himself time to relax. It almost always had something to do and would rarely ‘forget’ or allow himself to relax a bit before working on it. Studying today rather than taking it easy like his pokemon was proof of that. Just the thought of it made Kero a little jealous of man’s free time. Yet at the same time he knew he would get to restless if he couldn’t remember what he originally doing.
‘Just happy to wake up alive again.’ That seemed like an odd thing to say. Putting it together with Alvaro’s obvious like for ghost pokemon, Kero wouldn’t be suppirsed if the man had a huge interest in the afterlife. Or maybe just life and death in general. It sort of made Kero wonder what Alvaro did for a living. But that was a question he could ask some other time. The sound of Alvaro’s laughter on the other hand seemed to lighten Kero’s spirit even more. He felt even happier when Alvaro agree to eat with them. “That’s alright,” Kero grinned being told that Alvaro may eat a bit more than most would expect, “My servants often pack a lot more then I could ever eat just in case Im out longer than expected.” Really that meant in case Kero ended up getting lost. Which, much to Kero’s despise, happened often.
Kero turned and started towards the mess of books he had previously left laying all over the ground. Beside the big mess was a bag. “Ha, I wish I had time for a vacation. I’m afraid I don’t think Ive ever experienced the word.” Kero replied, laughing slightly, “I was looking over ways to overcome weaknesses. These three are the only pokemon I have and two of them have a rather hard time with Electric and fighting pokemon. I want to become one of the strongest trainers alive someday so I’m going to need to learn how to turn my pokemon’s weaknesses into strengths. Though I’m probably boring you now.” He had made it to his mess on the ground and began closing and putting aside the mass amount of books. Once he was done he reached for the large bag and untied it. Inside was enough food for about three meals along with food for the pokemon. The bag its self unwrapped into a blanket, making a perfect spot to lay out the food. If there was one thing having servants was good for, it was being well taken care of. Kero hadn’t had to lift a finger to put any of this together. Then again, if it wasn’t for the servants Kero would probably starve to death.
“Have as much as you like.” He told Alvaro when he finished unpacking the food. Charizard had taken his own food but hadn’t started eating it. He was too busy staring at Alvaro still. He just couldn’t figure out what the man had done to Kero to make him act so... nice. Maybe it was a curse or spell or something. Or perhaps he had drugged Kero somehow. Whatever it was, Charizard was going to get to the bottom of it.

“That’s alright, My servants often pack a lot more then I could ever eat just in case Im out longer than expected.” Alvaro blinked a little at this but didn't directly comment on it. Servants? That word... well, eh probably just people that worked for him or something. It was then that Alvaro actually wondered why that last name had been familiar again...Heh, he still had no close and resolved not to worry about it at that moment in time. When Kro stated that he had never had a vacation, Alvaro found himself confused for a few seconds. Why would anyone work that hard? Well... like he was one to talk... Alvaro had a nasty habit of doing just enough to get by as it was..... “I was looking over ways to overcome weaknesses. These three are the only pokemon I have and two of them have a rather hard time with Electric and fighting pokemon. I want to become one of the strongest trainers alive someday so I’m going to need to learn how to turn my pokemon’s weaknesses into strengths. Though I’m probably boring you now.” Somewhere in the middle of that slur of words, Alvaro had tuned out a good portion of it and simply turned his head to one side. However, managing to get the gist of it, he finally seemed to smile a bit more. "Any reason you want to be that strong?" Alvaro asked raising an eyebrow and looking at Kero for a few seconds. "I mean... it's a goal and all, and for the most part the human race associates goals with being good things, but.....why?" After a few seconds, Alvaro just broke off a bit. As his purple eyes focused in on the food, Alvaro blinked. Wow... that was a lot more food than he had seen it a while. Well~ This would work well enough then. “Have as much as you like.” Alvaro found an even larger gin on his face than usual. He slowly bent down and crossed his leg in front of himself. His boots that generally didn't bend at the knee well enough to sit with his legs folded caused the green haired man to end up sticking his legs off to the side rather than crossing them in front of himself. "Well thanks~" he answered back starting to unwrap what he believed to be some sort of sandwich and staring at it for a few seconds. Taking a rather large bite out of the sandwich . "Hey this isn't bad at all," he grinned a bit as he took another bite.

Kero stopped to think about why he wanted to become the best. There were many reasons why but he didn’t want to blurt them all out at once. Picking the best reason always seemed to be enough. Besides, he felt a strong need to impress this Alvaro. Maybe if he was impressed he would show the same feelings as... maybe...
“Well I guess partly because I want to uphold my father’s goals,” He replied, still looking as if he was thinking things over, “But also because I feel it’s the only way I can gain respect in this world. With the wars and fights that have been going on, someone needs to finally stand up and become a leader. Set the system right again.” To sum it up he wanted to be better than everyone else. He wanted to become the ruler of all. His word would be the final word. Of course he wasn’t going to say it like that to Alvaro. It would make him appear selfish and power hungry. Which he was selfish and power hungry. The more he looked at Alvaro though, the more he wanted get closer to the man. He wasn’t about ready to scare the man away until he understood Alvaro’s point of views. Perhaps even have the man wrapped around his finger to a point where he wouldn’t care what Kero did. That in its self seemed wrong but it was just the way Kero was. When he liked someone, he liked them, and he would work hard to keep them.
Kero happily unwrapped himself a sandwich as well, along with a small bag of dried banana’s. He really liked dry fruits for some reason. “Well Im glad you like it.” Kero smiled before taking a small bite out of his own sandwich and swallowing, “So, if you don’t mind me asking, what do you for a living?” he couldn’t hold it back anymore. He just had to ask. Perhaps it would explain the care free attitude this man currently appeared to have.

“Well I guess partly because I want to uphold my father’s goals.” Hm? Alvaro's eyes seemed to stare at Kero for a moment. So... it was someone else's wants? That........ “But also because I feel it’s the only way I can gain respect in this world. With the wars and fights that have been going on, someone needs to finally stand up and become a leader. Set the system right again.” A rather interesting smile came from Alvaro's face. Ah.... He was one of those types of people then.....Alvaro found himself staring down as he ate. “Well Im glad you like it.” Alvaro's eyes rasied again, and he found himself leaning now and all but laying down. “So, if you don’t mind me asking, what do you for a living?”"I've been through several jobs," the green haired man answered back before really thinking about it. Upon realizing he had spoken so quickly, Alvaro stopped for a moment and seemed to think of something. "Currently unemployed though... or self-employed if you want to look at it another way," he rolled the shoulder he wasn't leaning on a little as he said it. "I used to work under an undertaker... then went to school to be a professional mortician but dropped out ..." he shrugged his shoulders not bothering to go into his other occupation that had been farther south of Era. After a few seconds, he finished the first sandwich and went on to get at another one. It seemed eating had only stemmed his hunger somehow. Finishing this one far faster than the first, he looked back at Kero. "So what do you do for a living?" he asked with a light smile.

Worked for an undertaker and dropped out of school. On top of it all, he was unemployed. Charizard was certain that would make Kero want nothing more to do with the man. After all, he was a failure if he couldn’t even finish school. He was clearly not a noble and would never become one. Kero would never waste him time with such a person. Yet much to Charizards surprise, Kero didn’t look disgusted at the man at all. In fact what came out of Kero’s mouth next just shocked Charizard even more.
“I take it becoming a mortician wasn’t exactly what you wanted?” Kero asked secretly wondering how anyone would ever want to study to become one. Kero could only see two reasons. They would either have to be very interested in the dead or wished to be lonely for the rest of their lives. “I don’t think I’d be able to take on such a job even if I tried.” Had Alvaro already finished two sandwiches? Kero was a little surprised at how fast he could eat. He had only just finished half his own sandwich. Alvaro hadn’t lied when he said he could eat more than people expected. As long as he was happy.
“I took over the title of count when my father past away last year.” Kero replied, “It’s become my duty to watch over parts of the southern wastelands and blah blah. Kind of boring stuff but I don’t really have a choice.” If he left he would lose all his chances to become the leader of everyone along with all of his current power and wealth. Something he would never give up even if the title meant he had a lot of work on his plate for the rest of his life, “But I guess it kind of suits me.” He added before looking up at Alvaro again.
“If you ever need a place to stay while in the region your always welcome to stop by.” Kero then stated causing Charizards mouth to drop open. Even Gastly and Swablu seemed a bit surprised to hear this. It was enough that Charizard finally stopped eating and stuck his face into Keros, forcing the you man to look into his face. “Humph” Charizard had said asking if Kero was feeling ok. Kero just pushed Charizards head away replying with a quick “I’m fine.” Charizard wasn’t so convinced however. He began to eat again, but while he did so he refused to take his eyes off Alvaro. You could almost say Charizard was giving Alvaro the death glare. ‘I know you did something to Kero. Don’t know wht, but Ill find out one way or another...’
“Sorry, Im not sure what’s wrong with Charizard today. Might just be one of those days.” Kero apologized to Alvaro for the interruption causing Charizard to huff as he continued to glare at the green haired man.
“Gastly gasssstly gast gastly.” Gastly began laughing, his words directed at Alvaro. Kero wasn’t sure what Gastly was saying but Gastly seemed to believe Alvaro would. He had explained that Charizard wasn’t use to Kero being nice to strangers. He might be jealous. Charizard snorted once again.

“I take it becoming a mortician wasn’t exactly what you wanted? I don’t think I’d be able to take on such a job even if I tried.” Alvaro let out half a sight at this and shook his head before smiling a bit as he prepared to answer the question. However, he was cut off as Kero continued talking and remained silent through it. “I took over the title of count when my father past away last year. It’s become my duty to watch over parts of the southern wastelands and blah blah. Kind of boring stuff but I don’t really have a choice.” In another moment, Alvaro was frowning rather hard. There was always a choice... at least... as far as Alvaro knew... then again.....heh. After a few seconds, the smile returned as though his face had never shifted. “But I guess it kind of suits me.” Hm? That was an odd statement... but...heh... “If you ever need a place to stay while in the region your always welcome to stop by.” Oh? Well that was a nice offer. Alvaro picked up an apple and began to bite into it. Upon watching the strange motions of the Charizard, the green haired man seemed to turn his head to one side a bit confused to say the least of it. However, after a moment, it seemed to cool down again, and Alvaro simply smiled lightly all but completely oblivious to the death stare he was getting from the Charizard. “Sorry, Im not sure what’s wrong with Charizard today. Might just be one of those days.” Alvaro simply smiled at this sort of explanation and nodded his head a bit not too fazed to say the least of it. Alvaro Gean only got about half of what was said from the Gastly. However, his brain filled in the other half. Oh.......... was that it, heh? purple eyes slid back to Kero, and for a moment, he nearly laughed but caught himself. Was he going to be spiteful? Nah... it wasn't Alvaro's way. Instead, he simply sat up fully and then slid off his boots (interchanging hands with the apple he still had as needed) before crossing his legs in front of himself and setting his boots off to the side. It was easier to sit up anyways. Green socks came and went as Alvaro threw them at the boots before Green toe nails (all but perfectly matched with the ungodly coloring of his finger nails) came and went as Alvaro crossed them under himself and sat on his feet more or less. Biting into the apple again finally, he began to answer to all the responses and questions. "Actually I quite liked working with the dead," he answered back with a light smile. "They tended to be less lively than the general populace of people around me to which I found quite a relief, really. It was the people in school I disliked. All the people there.......They were loud, obnoxious, weaklings who tried to tie me down to some sort of strict educational program that they assumed would work for anyone and everyone." Alvaro's face was un-characteristically dark for a few seconds before it faded back into his lighter motion. He bit into his apple but remained perfectly balanced as he sat. "Second, you're a liar," he laughed a little turning his head to one side. "There is always a choice in anything... you could chose to throw away your title and simply run for it whenever you wanted. I ran from home away from home at the age of sixteen, so what's to say you couldn't? Though, I do agree that it does suit you... at least from what I've seen of you," he chuckled again and then continued to eat. "And if you're not upset with me on my wording, then that'd be nice. I haven't been inside a house in a while." he smiled again with a rather quiet smile of sorts that seemed to fade back into his regular smile.

Kero found it a bit odd that the man was so comfortable with taking off his boots and socks in front of someone else. He had never seen anyone so care free. If it had of been a servant... well anyone else... Kero would have believed it to be rude and disgusting. Instead Kero didn’t feel either. It was odd how a small attraction could affect someone in such a way. It was as if he was willing to accept the man’s flaws. The question was, for how long?
If there was one thing Kero agreed with, it was that most people were rather loud, obnoxious, weak and always wanted others to act a certain way. Otherwise that person was a failure. Yet instead of just leaving or avoiding those people Kero chose to try and be better than them. He was stronger and more powerful than everything he said would be the way of the world. Then no one could look down on him. No one could tell him he wasn’t good enough or that he was wrong. He would make the rules and no one else would be able to against them without being pushed aside.
What Alvaro said next shocked Kero. He had been called many things before. A jerk, an ass, rude, selfish, annoying, even a childish but never a liar. He never really had a reason to lie. Kero had almost gotten upset over the remark, but as Alvaro continued he began to understand why he had called him a liar. “I guess I’ve never thought of it like that before.” Kero replied “But I guess that’s what makes me a bit weak. I have a tendency to hate those who look down on me. Like a burning need to be better than everyone else while proving to those who are stronger that I can catch up. If I ran away from my title then I feel like I’d be giving everyone who knows me a reason to laugh in my face.” Kero looked down at his sandwich as he said this. He only a few bites left but he had almost forgotten he had even been eating it. He had never admitted such things to anyone but his pokemon before. He was almost confusing himself on why he would even tell Alvaro about how he felt.
Charizard put a stop on his death glare for a moment and looked at Kero. His partners words shocked him. Why was he being so open with this man? Being this confused was almost tiring Charizard out. Though Gastly and Swablue seemed to be happy that Kero was actually getting along with someone. It was rare that he would make friends. They didn’t know about the selfish feelings Kero was also having about Alvaro either.
It meant one. Kero had to keep Alvaro around. He needed the man. He wasn’t sure why yet, but he didn’t want to let this man fall into the hands of anyone else. So what if Alvaro wasn’t a noble. Kero was certain he could be if he wanted to which was good enough reason to respect the man. But how would he insure that the man would stick around? Letting him use the manner was a good start. At lest he was one step ahead of himself already.
“As I said, you will always be welcome. There are more than enough free rooms at the manner and won’t have to worry about anyone bothering you. You could do anything you want there aside from blowing things up on purpose." Who wouldn’t be lured by that?

Upon hearing the last comment, Alvaro nearly burst into a fit of laughter and subsequently nearly choked on his apple resulting in a terrible fit of coughing that ended with him leaning off to the side and trying to defeat suffocation. However, a combo of laughing and coughing was a terrible thing to go up against on any playing field. "Sorry....sorry," he laughed a little more. "I forgot to tell you I worked one other place for a bit... down south in the Orre region... anyways, we were doing some lab stuff one day, and one of my co-workers nearly blew us all to smithereens during one of the experiments..." he said gasping to try and catch his breath still. "Totally a heart-thumper but man afterwords I teased that guy for like a month after, and his nick-name was forever Bomber." After a few more coughs, Alvaro managed to sit up and be 'normal' again though he did appear quite paler than before and all but had a sickly air around him for a few seconds before he tried to shove it off with a forced smile. "But I don't go blowing stuff up, usually," he smiled a little shaking his head. "And heh, I'll remember that, you know," he said making a bend in his index finger and then placing a knuckle on his temple. He was tempted to eat again but decided to wait for now at least. Instead, he simply sat back a bit and breathed out a little. "You see, this is why I'll never take up smoking," he suddenly grinned a little shaking his head a bit. "It'd do terrible things to the lungs." He chuckled a bit and then fell silent again.

For a moment Kero was certain he just killed the man without even trying to. He was almost certain he would have to try and do cpr on him. Which after thinking it over for a few seconds sounded rather pleasant to Kero. He defiantly wouldn't mind having to touch lips. Though at the same time his own thoughts of enjoying it seemed out of place. Had even though of touching lips with another man to be satisfying before? More he thought about it he had never had. He only ever felt that way once towards a girl. But he had only been about 10 years old back then and she moved away. It wasn't that Kero had never thought about what it would be like to kiss someone before. He was male after all. But he had never really been attracted to anyone. Much to Kero's disappointment, however, Alvaro seemed to finally catch his breath again. It seemed there would be no cpr for now.
“Well I wasn’t exactly expecting you to have experience with blowing things up” Kero laughed a bit before asking, “Are you alright? Need some water?” Kero didn’t wait for him to answer that question. Instead he began to search around for one of the bottles. They had been behind him on the grass but that required looking backwards. Which normally wouldn’t be an issue if Kero didn’t feel the need to slip small glances over at Alvaro as he searched.
“This one,” Kero pointed over to Charizard, “Along with that one,” He then pointed to Gastly, “Have a habit of blowing up or breaking things often.” Charizard appeared a little offended by that though he couldn’t deny it. Gastly on the other hand began to laugh. It seemed he was remembering all the times he had caused a bit of trouble at home. Most of the time it was due to pulling of jokes and pranks on the servants living there.
Kero then laughed at Alvaro’s comment about smoking, “Need both lungs for when you chook, huh?” He asked as his hand finally landed on one of the bottles behind him, “Here, have some.” He held it out for Alvaro to take. “So, Im assuming Desu and Ring are two of your pokemon. Mind me asking what type?” He was pretty sure they were ghosts, but there were many different kinds of ghost pokemon. Besides the more Kero could get Alvaro to talk, more he could study the man and his features.

Alvaro took the water and slowly began to sip it as the question came to mind. Almost instantly water nearly came out Alvaro's nose as another laugh surged him. Just so many giggles today it seemed. However, after a few seconds, he caught his breath and finished a gulp of water fully. "Actually I'll just show you," he answered back breathing out as he pulled out two pokeballs and released them. The large Cofagrigus that took form first seemed to stretch his 'arms' and then slowly looked around. Upon seeing the two humans, Desu looked less than amused. However, upon seeing the Charizard ..................................... heh.......... well now.......... Slowly moving off towards him, the Cofarigus seemed to wave a hand with a rather easy... if somewhat creepy... face. <Well hello hot stuff> he grinned relishing the pun as well as his general sexuality. Alvaro watched for a few seconds and seemed to be forcing a few giggles away. He really needed to stop x3;. "The Cofagrigus is Desu, and Ri-......." Alvaro stopped and found that Ring had Teleported and was now sitting in a tree rather than on the ground. "That is Ring," Alvaro stated pointing up towards the Elgyem. The Elgyem seemed to simply stare down at all of them and was already thinking up a few pranks that he could pull. However, for now, he'd stay and watch this new person as well..... The green haired man took another sip of water and then breathed out. "I have one more, but I'm sure she's tired from staying up all night and morning," he said rolling his shoulders and thinking of how Stella had looked earlier. "She's a Shuppet though," he finished.
