Kero smiled a half nervous smile as Alvaro tried to speak. At lest he was getting a bit better. Not much but enough that Kero knew he was ok. "Yah... I didn't think Gastly would like you. I'm sure Gastly meant it to be a sign he likes you. I hope." Gastly spun around in laughter making even harder for Kero to decide if he had actually meant to paralyze Alvaro or not. At least Alvaro was taking it lightly. The smile on the green haired man's face and slight laughs told him that much. It kind of made Kero wonder if Alvaro ever got upset? Truly upset that is. Actually the more Kero thought about it the more the man reminded him of most ghost pokemon. Care free and happy souls.
"Sorry Desu, I think Alvaro might be a bit out of it for a little while." Which meant Kero had lots of free time to just look at him. Or would that be creepy? Yes it would defiantly be on the creepy side. Perhaps if grabbed one of his books and pretended to read that instead... It could work, right? “You know I admire you. Being so care free and all.” Kero blurted out, “I should probably be thanking you for getting me to actually relax and enjoy myself for once.”
Swablu made her way back to Kero and Alvaro. At first she was going to sit on Alvaro until Kero waved his hand for her not to. A little disapointed she fluttered up to Kero and landed purched herself ontop of his head.
"M?" Alvaro asked a bit as a single purple eye slid over and stared at Kero still a tad dazed but a bit more controlled at least. "It's nice...." he answered back. Whether that meant it was nice that he admired him or that being carefree was nice or whether it was nice that Kero was enjoying himself was completely lost in translation, though it seemed to work out well enough in Alvaro's mind for he seemed to laugh a little.
Desu looked at Alvaro rather stunned but slowly started to nod his form and mildly sighed outwards. <Alvy, come on now....> he started, yet Alvaro simply continued to smile a bit and laughed a little before closing one eye slowly. "Did you know I can't feel my toes?" the purple eyed man managed a laugh. "I wonder if -......." he broke off a bit and simply shook his head a little more.
Ring looked at Alvaro and seemed to blink in confusion. Why was... Alvaro........ That... didn't make sense.......eh........oh well.....
Kero wasn’t quite sure what “It’s nice,” meant as it could have referred to many things he had said. However, he was going to take it as a complement. “I wonder how long the effect lasts.” Kero thought aloud trying to remember the times he had been licked by Gastly. Each time had lasted in different lengths, but to Kero it had felt like hours before he could move again. He had never actually had a chance to time it though and knew what could feel like hours might only really be ten minutes.
Kero laughed a bit when Alvaro mentioned he couldn’t feel his toes. He hadn’t heard Desu talk to Alvaro so Kero thought he the man was just mentioning it for the heck of it. “You might not be able to feel them for a while.” Figuring it would be a while before Alvaro would be up and moving again Kero decided to sit down, his eyes looking up to the sky. Maybe now could be a chance to ask Alvaro about a few personal things... after all it wasn’t like Alvaro could run away at the moment. Besides, Kero would cover his questions to sound more innocent... hopefully.
“So... are you close to anyone?” Kero asked as he watched the sky, a few bird pokemon flying by, but none that he could make out or care about, “Like you know, family or ah... girlfriend maybe?” Yes that was a good question to start with. It would be able to help Kero determine who he had to beat in order to keep Alvaro. Kero looked back at Alvaro smiling at this thought.
A light laugh came from the green haired man at the questions from Kero. "As was said... I ran away from home.... doubt that I'm close to them anymore.... if I actually had been before...." Alvaro answered back more or less staring up at the clouds. "And I guess Stella could have counted as my girlfriend for as far as my mother understood it, but she's still a pokemon...." he chuckled a little and shook his head a bit more. "I don't........usually like to get close......." he sighed a bit as his face took on a more serious air.
Because Death rips everything away from someone given enough time, anyways.... the green haired man thought but didn't speak this part aloud but ended up closing his eyes and breathing out again. Indeed, this was....part of what he had learned form the Undertaker and part of what he had always known in the end of it all.
Then.... the question as to why Kero was asking came to mind, and Alvaro opened one eye and stared at him. "What about you? Or are the nobility engaged at birth as though Fate were some sort of actor in a play." Alvaro didn't believe in Fate... but he did believe that people were idiots, and he had heard stories of kingdoms with the nobility pretty much already married at birth.
After a moment, the green haired man cringed a little and then noticed that Desu was poking and prodding his form as though trying to get him to move on his own. " 'esu stop that......" Alvaro found himself twitching a little, and after a few seconds, the ghost type sighed and stopped.
Kero remembered that Alvaro had mentioned running away from home, but it didn’t matter. The reason he added the family into the question was simply to cover it up for asking about the girlfriend. Hopefully Alvaro wouldn’t catch onto that. He felt a little jitter in his body when heard Alvaro didn’t have a girlfriend. Even better, it didn’t sound like he had ever had one.
What he added next kind of made Kero’s heart sink. He usually didn’t get close. Maybe Kero could become that acceptation. The line its self reminded him of himself. He was rather distant from others. Kero was pretty sure there reasons for never getting close to other people were different however.
As he should have expected the question was thrown back at him. Though in a way he hadn’t really expected. “No there’s no one” Kero replied, “At least I don’t recall my parents ever picking a wife for me and know none were written in the will. As far as I can tell, Im free to pick for myself.” He wasn’t sure if many of the nobles did still have their parents pick. Most likely many of them did. Kero slightly believed that if his father hadn’t passed away earlier than expected than he would have probably picked someone for Kero too.
Kero smiled a bit hearing the comment Alvaro made to Desu but it didn’t stay on his lips for long. It was time to dig a bit deeper into the question he asked a moment ago, “Ever thought about dating someone? I know I have once.” Kero was actually referring to his ever growing crush on Alvaro since he laid eyes on him. But he wouldn’t say that part out loud. Yet least, not yet.
The green haired man closed his eyes fully and seemed to be thinking over the question. Would he really be so blunt as to expose his nature? Possibly.... he felt comfortable enough around Kero to say it. After a few seconds, he opened his mouth but kept his eyes closed. "Not really," he answered back finally. "Getting close to anything just means it hurts more when it's taken away."
There it was... the grimness on his features only half lightened by the more or less peaceful look he was holding with his eyes closed. That memory of when Stella had nearly died... and that clash of feelings he had finally settled out afterwords that had birthed this nature were nothing more than shadows in the back of Alvaro's mind, yet they were there none the less. "I try and spare myself of that.... though some would call it selfish, I guess," the green haired man found a rather odd laugh escaping him, yet he cut it short in another moment.
Suddenly Desu poked a spot just below Alvaro's knee, and the green haired man suddenly sat straight up blinking rather confused. The Cofagrigus burst out laughing, and his trainer simply stared for a few seconds. "No rigor mortise, Desu," Alvaro stated aloud cringing a bit and finding his moves stiff as he slowly brought a knee up. After a few seconds, Alvaro slowly lowered himself to the ground and ended up laying there again. "Guess it's wearing off a bit," he chuckled meaning the rather odd paralysis. The large coffin Ghost simply chuckled to himself.
So Alvaro was afraid of getting hurt. Or rather, he wanted to avoid the chance of being hurt. Kero figured, given the little knowledge he had on Alvaro’s past, that it was the past that caused this point of view. Kero wasn’t about to ask Alvaro about his past though. He figured in time Alvaro would tell him on his own terms. One thing was for sure though, the more distant Alvaro sounded from others, the more Kero wanted him all for himself. No, he would have him.
Kero smiled as watched Alvaro sit up suddenly. It indeed appeared to be wearing off. Which in a way was a good thing. However it meant the man could now leave at any time if he wanted to. Hopefully what Kero panned on saying next wouldn’t cause him to do just that. But it was a worth a try. Besides, if Alvaro did deny him and ran off, Kero would have his own ways of finding him again. The man would never truly be able to escape his grasp especially when Kero has his goals set on him. Hopefully, if all went well, it wouldn’t come to that.
“Alvaro,” Kero said softly, moving closer to the man. Without warning he placed each hand on the grass on either side of Alvaro’s body and looked down into his purple eyes, “I’m taking away my offer. I want you stay with me at my manor instead.” There was a small smile on his lips as he said this, his own pale brown eyes staying locked on the mans face.
His offer before hand was that Alvaro could visit at any time. Now Kero had fully made up his mind. He was no longer going to try and have Alvaro. He was going to have him. Now he was offering him a home. His own room, free meals, and everything else included in a nobles life style, except of course the title. Sure many probably saw two men living together to be a bit unethical these days but Kero didn’t care. He liked whom he liked and that was that. Nothing could change his mind. In fact normally when Kero was told no he wanted it more.
Desu seemed to watch and even managed a smirk fully understanding the context for what it was as Kero had all but moved onto Alvaro. If he had been more into humans, he would have been at Alvaro already. However, that was not the case in it all. Ring seemed to tense suddenly defensive, yet Desu extended a ghostly arm and set it on the Elgyem's head. <He's fine, Ring> Desu grinned. Ring seemed to suddenly look away and cross his arms. <Well dugh... I figured that....> the Elgyem stated aloud though in the back of his mind, he was still oddly worried for Alvaro......pft what was that even? -3-.......
Alvaro stared at Kero with a vague expression for a few seconds, and his eyes shifted off to one side and away from Kero more or less focusing in on either the jewel on the side of his face or the blade of grass next to his head that had been un-snowed. However, after a few seconds more, a cooler smile finally worked its way onto his features, and Alvaro's purple eyes stared up at Kero again. "Don't clip my wings, Kero," was the only thing that finally came from Alvaro's mouth. "I prefer to wander." In another moment, Alvaro's hand hand had reached up and set itself on the side of Kero's face. "Heh... you seem tense.... you should try and relax more," the green haired man now grinned up more or less repeating his whole circular thoughts at that point.
Those few seconds Alvaro seemingly took to think felt much longer to Kero. He could his chest tighten as he waited. When Alvaro finally spoke the small smile on Kero’s lips disappeared. How was it that Alvaro was able to pick the perfect words to counter Kero’s desires? To be free to wander the world. Kero himself was the happiest when he was wandering without any real place to go. How could he pressure Alvaro out of it? But at the same time Kero really wanted to keep Alvaro around. How could he insure he would see the man again? How could he insure Alvaro wouldn’t be tainted by someone else? The real issue with Alvaro’s words was that he hadn’t told Kero no. He asked Kero not to force him.
Kero sucked in a deep breath at the touch of Alvaro’s hand on his cheek. Upon hearing Alvaro’s voice telling him should try and relax more he closed his eyes and released his breath. “I... can’t.” Kero replied, opening his eyes once more, “Something about you... You make me flustered.” He was finaly breathing again though much faster then he should have been. For some reason his arms which were still holding him over Alvaro were trembling slightly. For a half second he thought about moving back from Alvaro but at the same time he didn’t want to.
Swablu and Gastly? At some point the tiny bird pokemon had managed to leave Kero’s head and find a nice soft spot on the grass to rest. Gastly was busy licking different plants and stones he found interesting. It was Charizard who actually paying attention to what was going on. He was still partly confused by Kero’s actions. However he understood a bit better now. It was an attraction thing. Why Kero was attracted to this was what Charizard now did not understand. Kero had never shown an interest in anyone else before. Charizard Secretly hoped this wouldn’t become a common event with other people.

Alvaro was staring rather calmly now, and slowly, his hand trailed off the side of Kero's face and back down on the ground. His eyes had moved off and were more or less focusing in on the contour of his hand at that point. Ah...he'd chipped a nail.... he'd have to repaint them all soon to make them look right... Why was... he ignoring the... well..... For one reason or another, he didn't...........know...quite what to-.....
"Sorry then," he finally answered back on the comment of making Kero flustered. Slowly, he brought his hand up again and slowly started to push Kero off as he himself began to sit up again still feeling a tad stressed in his muscles if not elsewhere. "I don't mean to fluster you, Kero," he smiled a bit and turned his head to one side. "I can come and visit occasionally... but...." he smiled a little and shook his head rather slowly again. "Alvaro still wants to see more of Era," he laughed a little at himself for talking in third person, yet it was oddly fun at that point.
Ring found himself confused over the mix of emotions that he was receiving from Alvaro... The green haired man had a nasty habit of being able to hide it from others... but.....those that were already in his head.....
Kero was little shocked by the apology but said nothing on it. He also didn’t resist as Alvaro sat up pushing Kero to move and give him room. Kero simply rolled back on his heels then onto his bottom. He began crossing his legs as Alvaro continued to apologize. His eyes were pale eyes were gazing at the ground though his mind was keeping them from focusing on anything. When Alvaro finished talking Kero looked back up trying his best to fill his expression with a smile.
“Of course.” He replied trying to mask the disappointment, “I could tell you were a free spirit the moment we met. ” Which was at least true. Just the way Alvaro held himself and dressed made it clear he had a free will. “I... ” He looked down again, “Was being a bit selfish... I guess. I’m sorry.”
Charizard let out a sigh upon hearing Kero’s apology. This Alvaro was really taking a toll on Kero. To get Kero to be kind, open and apologize? It had to be a record and was enough to finally get Charizard to speak up. ‘Just kiss the guy already and find a bush’. Was what Charizard had grumbled at Kero causing the hairs on the back of Kero’s neck to stand up. “Just mind your own business.” Kero snapped back at Chaizard who only grinned at the young man’s red face. If kero’s attraction was good for one thing, it would be to tease the hell out of him.
Alvaro blinked a moment at the return apology. In another second, a light laugh came from the green haired man, and he found himself folding his arms around his legs and then setting his forehead on his knees. "It's ok," he finally answered back rather quietly. "We're both ok." He brought a finger up to his chin and found himself staring down at his nails again. “Just mind your own business.” Alvaro nearly jumped before looking up and seeing that Kero was addressing his Charizard. Upon seeing Kero's face redder, Alvaro found himself slowly setting his forehead on his knees again. He's................ Alvaro didn't quite know what to add to the end of that sentence and soon gave up on trying to actually find a word.... not because he didn't want to, but just because he'd resolved not to think on such things too long.
Desu seemed to be more or less watching the Charizard again and was even smirking a bit to himself to which Ring found himself a tad confused over. After a few seconds, the ghost looked at the psychic, and both were silent. Well... this was interesting............
Suddenly Alvaro seemed to sit straight up again. "I remembered what I was going to do today," he said suddenly grinning rather big before allowing his eyes to look up towards the tower. "I was going to go see the view from up there," he finally finished with a light laugh. Both Desu and Ring sweat dropped upon realizing that Alvaro had completely changed the subject. However, they couldn't do much about that now could they.
Charizard turned away from Kero and placed his head back onto the ground. He was satisfied with Kero’s reaction which was enough for him. Kero however was still glaring at Charizard until Alvaro spoke up again. His voice had been enough to cause Kero to forget he was even mad. What the green haired man said was a subject Kero adored causing him to not notice the subject change at all.
He found himself looking up at the tower remembering the first time he had gone up there. “Being up there is one of the best feelings in the world.” Kuro commented his expression turning rather peaceful as spoke about it, “The air is so fresh and the wind against your face... It makes you feel like you’re flying without the help of a pokemon. Truly free from the rest of the world.” He had been up there a few times. The inside of the building was interesting enough as everything there was older than his great grandfather but to Kero the best part was standing outside on the very top of the tower. Perhaps it was why he loved flying type pokemon so much. They were free to fly anywhere’s they wanted. They could explore the entire world without ever having to look back.
“I take it you’ve never been up there before?” Kero asked finally looking to Alvaro again, “The only way up is by flight or teleportation. The towers too busted at the bottom to safely climb up.” Kero slightly wondered how Alvaro had originally planned to get to the top of the tower. Would his pokemon be strong enough to teleport him up there?
Something in Alvaro stirred a little when he heard Kero describe the tower, and for a few seconds, he found himself smiling a little more than usual as his purple eyes stared up at it. Heh....freedom.... was possibly the only thing that had come to mind in that..... So...Kero knew what it was fully like then... even if.......heh.......For a few seconds, Alvaro was lost in his own thought, yet as the question finally registered in his mind, the green haired man looked sideways.
As he heard the explanation of the tower and why one needed flight or the like, he found his own questions coming. However, he resolved to answer the first question first. "I haven't been to many parts of Era," he answered back. "Though I was born here and lived here for a while..." he shrugged his shoulders a little at his own words. "I guess I could have Ring teleport me up there, but then again.... the last time he teleported me, I ended up up north in the cold...." Alvaro half chuckled for a few seconds and shook his head.
"I had no idea the bottom was broken," he stated after a moment. "What happened to it?"
Kero was slightly shocked that Alvaro hadn’t seen much of the Era. He could understand not seeing the top of the tower yet but the whole of Era? For some reason he had thought Alvaro would have been all over Era or at least had seen more of it then Kero. ‘This,’ Kero reminded himself, ‘was why you should never assume things before asking’.
Kero grinned at the idea of Ring teleporting Alvaro to a completely different place than expected. From the tiny taste of Ring’s personality that Kero had gotten so far it didn’t surprise him. “Actually I have no idea.” Kero replied to Alvaro’s question with a silly grin before looking back at the tower, “I think it’s just old. Though I never really thought about it before.” Maybe it was something Kero could look up in the history books sometime. Then again, he found sometimes it was hard to find any information on some of the old buildings out in the middle of nowhere, “All I know was it was built so you could see the skies above the clouds.” At least that’s what his father had told him a very long time ago. It was what made Kero interested in the place.
“If you like, Charizard could probably take us up” Kero suggested causing Charizard to lift his head again. His eyes narrowed a bit clearly not liking the idea of taking Alvaro anywhere. However the narrowed eyes were then followed by a tiny smile curling on Charizards big mug.
Alvaro looked form Kero to the tower then to Charizard. For a few seconds, he seemed to be genuinely thinking over this. After a moment, he looked back at Kero. "That'd be great, actually," the green haired man answered back rather lightly. "I haven't flow before-......unless Ring's pranks count, hahaahah."
Desu seemed to look at Charizard a moment and smirked to himself for a few seconds before noticing an odd expression the Charizard's face. Hu? What had that been about? Eh, who cares~
Ring, who had registered that his name had been stated, looked from Kero to Alvaro and then back at Kero. Heh....Oh... well there was a thought~ After a few seconds, the Elgyem released a Telekinesis on his green haired trainer, and suddenly Alvaro found himself floating a few feet off the ground.
"H-h-hey stop that Ring," Alvaro tried to sound serious, but it was failing rather bad as he tried not to laugh. Oddly enough, his feet were floating up at a higher rate than his head, and so Alvaro found himself upside down as he floated. "Come on Ring," Alvaro found himself laughing a little but was trying to be serious at that point. Ring... just took it as more of a joke and was laughing now. Suddenly, the Elgyem seemed to smirk even more and suddenly used a Telekinesis on Kero as well.
Kero smiled and turned to look at Charizard, “We won’t both be too heavy for you will we Charizard?” He asked. Charizard finally stood up and gave Kero a look as if to ask ‘Really?’. He believed himself to be far stronger then he really was. But when it came to carrying two people he wouldn’t have a problem. He probably weighted more than both of the men in front of times two. “ Thought I should at least asked.” Kero commented at Charizards look feeling a bit stupid now for asking in the first place.
He turned his attention back to Alvaro just in time to see the green haired man rise from the ground. He couldn’t help but inwardly laugh at the situation. He was about to make a comment about how silly Alvaro looked almost hanging upside down when he felt his own body suddenly raise from the ground.
At first Kero was rather shocked and am bit afraid. He had never been picked up by something before that wasn’t using hands. It was a rather odd feeling to say the least. The only comment he manage to squeak out was a small “Oh no,” which caused Charizard to burst out laughing. Kero always claimed he liked flying but when there was nothing holding him in the air was scarred. It was just too funny not to laugh at. What Kero was truely afraid of wasn’t actually the flight but the worry of how ‘softly’ Ring would set them down after.
“I wasn’t quite ready for this.” Kero laughed nervously as he felt his feet level with his head.
Ring laughed rather hard and suddenly projected his thoughts out to everyone there. You can fly yourself now~! he laughed aloud clapping his hands together. The green haired man who was still hanging upside down laughed a little and shook his head. "Well at least he hasn't decided to throw us," Alvaro stated aloud suddenly shooting Ring a look more or less asking not to.....
The Elgyem smirked a bit and raised a hand as though he literally was going to throw them. Alvaro tensed out of habit, yet after a few seconds, the psychic pokemon slowly released the Telekinesis and set both of the two men down back onto their feet again. No flying? Ring smirked. In another moment, Desu's rather long Ghostly hand beat the small psychic over the head, and Ring fell straight forward started at being hit. Desu just crossed his arms a tad irritated and looked sharper at Ring. The Elgyem finally sighed and nodded his head. Fine... no more tricks... for now...
As his feet came to the ground again, Alvaro breathed out and continued to manage a smile. "Hah... well... I guess that was an alterior option," he said rubbing his head a bit.
It was a bit odd hearing the Elgem’s voice ring through his mind. That was a second first for him. He was sure he could teach Gastly to communicate that way someday... maybe. The ghost pokemon seemed a little too busy all the time to pay attention long enough to learn it. It was already hard enough trying to train gastly.
Kero’s head had turned straight to Ring when Alvaro commented "Well at least he hasn't decided to throw us," Kero was half expecting the pokemon to do just as Alvaro said now that it was it was in its mind. He could feel himself hold his breath for a moment when he saw Ring raise his hand and had expected to suddenly go flying. Luckily nothing happened. After a few moments Kero felt himself being set which was a relief from how he had expected to be crashing down.
“That might have actually been pretty interesting” Kero replied to Alvaro before looking back at Charizard, “You ready?” The pokemon nodded and made his way over to Kero. He was about to climb up onto Charizards back when he remembered the books and bag were still sitting on the ground. Slowly he looked around spotting Gastly, “Ga...” He stopped himself halfway through calling Gastly’s name and turned to Swablu instead. “Swablu can you watch our stuff for a bit?” The tiny bird opened her eyes long enough to give a small nod before closing them again. He knew she was trying to sleep but she was a better choice to watch the stuff over Gastly. The ghost pokemon would get too distracted by other things. Right now he was still randomly licking objects he found interesting.
Kero finally climbed onto Charizads back and the fire pokemon stood up. He then made his way over to Alvaro and opened his arms. Apparently he wasn’t going to let Alvaro ride on his back as well. Instead Charizad had decided he would carry the green haired man instead. That sly smile was still stuck to Charizards face.
For a good thirty seconds, Alvaro physically shivered upon realizing that he was going to literally be carried. Something about that just.... well....He couldn't explain at all why he was receiving the feeling he was getting from it....Maybe just the literal idea of flying to begin with but maybe some-.......nah... Alvaro wasn't one for fear, heh... not at all...
Purple eyes looked back at Ring and Desu for a moment. The Cofagrigus waved a moment but then seemed to draw serious for a few seconds. After a moment, Alvaro found his eyes closing, and a smile played on his features. Alright then, why not. With that, the green haired man stepped right in front of the Charizard and more or less raised his arms a bit figuring that he'd probably be grabbed around the waist or something of that nature.
"Desu keep an eye on Ring for me. Ring, keep an eye on Desu," Alvaro smiled. The ghosts seemed to stare again rather confused as to.. well... uhm....... Both exchanged a look but said nothing. Alvaro, on the other hand, had quite a lot of mind working at once and simply waiting to be more or less picked up by this large dragon creature.
