Kero continued to laugh as he watched Swablu trying to scrub Alvaro clean. If he wasn’t careful she would start using her beak to pick at anything her wings couldn’t scrub off. Luckily Alvaro finally put her down and began searching for the jewels she had knocked off. She instantly made her way back to the pillow. For a moment she checked if Kero was watching her or not. When she saw his eyes on her she went straight to cleaning her feathers instead of working on the pillow again. Kero was all too use to this trick which was why he had watched her until she had checked. His eyes looked back up at Alvaro when he asked where Kero had found Swablu. “I caught her in the Red Mesa.” He replied remembering that day pretty well, “She had been pretty young back then. I think she had just left her nest. That or she’s just gotten fat since then.” Kero laughed as Swablu jumped at the fat comment. She instantly turned around and gave Kero a glare. She was not fat! She just had a lot of fluffy feathers that made her look nice and round. Though back when she had met Kero she had been rather small. Now she was her full size and wouldn’t grow again until she evolved. She couldn’t wait for that day. She knew she would be the most beautiful pokemon of them all. She also wouldn’t have such a hard time with electric attacks anymore… or at least she hoped. “Ugh, I have to do the monthly inspection today with Alfred.” Kero complained as he had almost forgotten about it. He had a feeling Alfred, his butler, would be having a heart attack just because Kero wasn’t home yet. It wasn’t like the inspection was all that important and it would only take a few hours but Kero hated doing them. Really all he did was agree with Alfred on what ever it was he was explaining. The butler knew much more about the house and it’s servants then Kero did. Sadly it was up to Kero to make the finale decisions. That way when something went wrong Kero only had himself to blame. “Have anything planned today?” He then asked Alvaro. He had a feeling Alvaro wouldn’t really have anything planned. He seemed to be a man who lived for the day rather then planning it all out.

Red Mesa... Hm. That seemed to be an interesting place.... Well for being one who had just heard about it, of course. Maybe he'd wander over there or something of that nature. Well.... wait where was it even located. Alvaro thought to ask Kero but then shoved that thought aside. He'd find it sooner or later somehow or another... His legs would take him where he went, and if he walked all over Era, he was sure to run into it eventually, heh.
As Kero continued talking, Alvaro blinked. Inspection? Why did even the word sound boring. The only thing Alvaro could find himself relating it to was the horrible amount of 'inventory' that Undertaker had made him go through while he worked under him. Bodies, organs, tools, supplies, everything had to be counted up on certain days and just ugh....=3=........ After a few seconds, Alvaro realized he was frowning. With the gems in his hand, he extended two fingers and pulled at the sides of his face as hard as he could to force himself into a rather odd smile. There.... that was better......
When Kero asked if he had plans for the day, Alvaro simply found himself chuckling a little and shook his head after another moment. A fuller smile had come back to his face in that moment, and he allowed himself to let go of his face. "No plans,"he answered back slowly sticking the gems on the side of his face again. "I'll probably just continuing wandering around and see what the day brings me. It seems you already have something to do though." Alvaro half smiled and shook his head a little. [/scrolly]

Kero envied Alvaro a bit. To have all the time in the world to do anything he wanted. Sometimes Kero wished he could have a life like that. At the same time he knew he would feel unfulfilled with that life style. He never really understood why. He figured it was just who he was. “ You could do my inspection for me.” Kero teased as he laughed a bit. He knew it would be long and boring. Not to mention that following the inspection Kero would have to set to work on checking over all his expenses for the month. It was something else he hated to do however it was necessary. He needed to make sure that the manor had a steady income and it’s payments were made where due. “ All you have to do is follow Alfred around and say yes or no.” Kero laughed some more at this. It was true though. That’s all Kero did during the inspection day.

"But that's no fun. I'd rather be a leader than a follower, though then again... I guess I'm neither," he chuckled a little thinking on that. "So... something like... 'yes I like this food' or... 'no that's an ugly color' or..... 'yes I am sure that the cook knows what he is doing for my sake'....'yes' 'no' 'maybe so'....mmmm" Alvaro began to list off just about everything that came to mind, yet after a moment more of it, he broke off and then looked sideways at Kero.
After a moment, the green haired man seemed to slowly start to walk out and towards the ledge. "I'm sorry Kero, but that would probably bore me to tears," Alvaro chuckled to himself slowly shaking his head as he looked back. "And I generally dislike crying in most instances," he chuckled even more despite how serious his statement had been at least in tone. "Ya know what though?" Alvaro finally stated with a grin. "I'll come 'inspect' your house for ya sooner or later though on my terms and such." With that, Alvaro suddenly broke out laughing. He wasn't sure if it was even funny, but it had tickled him for whatever reason. [/scrolly]

Kero laughed as Alvaro came up with things he would have to say or no to. Sadly enough it was exactly what Kero had to do today, “ Ha, Yah something like that.” he blustered out before listening to the rest of what Alvaro had to say. He didn’t blame Alvaro for thinking it sounded rather boring. After all, Kero knew it was boring. It was why he didn’t really want to do it. Even Charizard and his other pokemon abandoned him to go and do other things while he was stuck answering all of Alfred’s questions. Darn those traitors. “ I don’t blame you for not wanting to, I know I don’t.” Kero as he followed Alvaro out onto the landing, “ If you visit someday I’ll let you inspect the library and laboratory first. The lab hasn’t really been used since my father passed away but I’m sure the maids have been keeping it clean.” Kero had no idea why but the mention of maids made him wonder what kind of life Alvaro had before he left home. Did he have maids, servants, butlers and such as well? Or maybe his parents ran a small shop or worked in a factory or something. Heck for all Kero knew they could have been one of the servants to a noble. Kero could never imagine the life of a servant. To always have to take orders from someone else without having your own say. He would have run away from home too. “ What… what kind of home did you use to have?” Kero asked as he thought about it. He wasn’t looking at Alvaro as he spoke but instead was looking up at the sky and it’s new rising sun.

"A... very blank one..." Alvaro finally answered back thinking of the mass of white walls, white bed, white floor, white ceiling, white furniture, people dressed in white.... So blank....He felt... like a prisoner in his own house....or room as far as he remembered it with his mother always being paranoid that even if he left it for a minute, he'd fall ill again.
Alvaro had been about to try and explain what he meant further when he found himself simply falling into silence on it. Why... well... he wasn't really lying was he? No... It was more... that he... just... didn't want... to tell....... Alvaro sucked in some air and chuckled to himself shaking his head a bit and trying to dismiss the question further.
After a moment, he found himself staring out at the areas beyond the tower. "I prefer the outdoors anyways," he finally chuckled before starting to step closer and closer to where the ledge met the open air. His eyes traveled downwards to the world below. It seemed... a long way down to say the least of it. Even a few clouds were in the way of the bottom now. "There's so much more to see," he finally grinned back looking at Kero fully again. Kero looked over at Alvaro when the answer that came out of the green haired man’s mouth was a rather odd one. A very blank one? Did that mean Alvaro didn’t really remember or was it actually blank? Kero kind of imaged a rather plain hallway with old, ugly brown wallpaper and boring pictures of old people. The idea of a completely white room just didn’t come into mind for Kero. Whatever Alvaro meant Kero got the feeling that he didn’t really want to talk about it. Perhaps it had something to do with why Alvaro had left his home in the first place. He wouldn’t push the subject if hurt Alvaro. Alvaro could feel the same way about it as Kero felt about the day his mother had died. He didn’t like talking about it because it just hurt too much. It was true Kero didn’t mind mentioning his mother or even that she had passed away. However explaining that exact day… no he would rather avoid thinking about it completely.
“Less stuffy too.” Kero added onto Alvaro’s reason to liking the outdoors better. He gave Alvaro a smile before looking back at the sky, “I think you could spend a life time exploring the world but… I dunno. Sometimes when I think about dropping my current life and seeing everything there is to see I feel a bit… well lonely. I’m not really sure why and it’s kind of funny when I think about it. I mean,” he turned back to Alvaro, “It couldn’t be any lonelier then living in the manor. I mean sure, I have servants and Alfred around but they don’t really talk to me like I’m human. It’s more business. I think I’d have gone mad by now if it weren’t for the pokemon.”

That... was odd... Alvaro himself had never really considered traveling to be like that. He saw new people each day, and it just went on...though...Then again, like Kero said... there were pokemon... He had pokemon... without them... Alvaro wasn't sure what he would do at the end of it all. Actually... Alvaro assumed he'd already be dead without Stella, heh.
A sudden chuckle came to Alvaro's throat as a thought came to his mind right then and there. Looking directly at Kero, Alvaro waited a moment before actually starting to speak again. "You should come traveling with me then," he answered back with an easy grin. Was this an offer? Somewhat of one... In truth, Alvaro doubted Kero'd give up everything to just go traveling with him. There was something to Kero that made Alvaro understand this all but instinctively. However, it was worth a shot, wasn't it? [/scrolly]

Kero looked shocked for a moment when Alvaro’s suggestion was blurted out. It was the last thing he ever imagined anyone asking him. But… Kero turned and looked down at the land below though his eyes weren’t actually focused on anything. His expression turned to a rather serious look while he thought Alvaro’s offer over in his mind.
He had always wanted to explore the world. Many Nobles did. They tool leaves to see and learn everything they could. Some said it was part of there development in understanding the world and what needed to be done. Some would even leave for up to five years becoming back. Well some never came back but most often that was due to death during their travels. In any case there was no reason why Kero couldn’t go traveling with Alvaro. Not only that but it would give him a chance to understand his feelings for the green haired man more. But… He couldn’t just up and leave the manor. He was the only Blackthorn left and someone had to make sure the place didn’t fall apart. He had to at least give a warning and make sure everything was set up and ready for his leave. That was his responsibility and his duty to the people who had worked hard to have the manor built and in power all these years.
Kero finally let out a sigh and looked back at Alvaro with a small smile, “Ask me again next time we meet.” He finally decided, “That is… if you would still want me traveling with you by then.” It didn’t matter if that day was a day from now, two days, or even month or more. Kero was certain he would make sure his answer was a solid yes or no. For now he would leave it as a maybe someday.

However, he quickly suppressed this rather... distraught? ....feeling.... Forcing a smile, the green haired man even managed a laugh then and there. "Alright," he answered back with a nod feeling oddly confident with that answer. It'd stay as a maybe then... until some different time, heh. "I'll remember that then," he suddenly said rather quickly prodding Kero in the ribs before chuckling to himself and starting to walk a bit around the landing.
Somewhere in the back of his mind, Alvaro had suddenly made the decision to go to the capital. He wasn't sure why, but he felt compelled to go there for one reason or another.... It was a spontaneous notion, yet Alvaro would follow it... The capital was... pretty far away...He'd have to start walking soon if he wanted to get there...Alvaro slowly found himself looking down towards the ground far below before turning back and starting inwards. "I think... I'm going to head out soon," the green haired man smiled a little. "And seeing as you've got noble stuffs to do... It'd probably be a good idea for you to as well..." [/scrolly]

Kero let out a sigh when Alvaro mentioned that he should head out soon. He agreed that he should be heading out as well but he really did wish he could just stay there. Of course nothing lasted forever and it was time to move on with the new day.
“I’ll start gathering our stuff together.” Kero replied with a smile, “Charizard you get ready too.” As he said this he made his way into the tower again and began gathering he everything they had used. He replaced the cards back into Alvaro’s bag before going to fold the blanket. As he did this Charizard simply stood up and began to stretch. Swablu had made her way outside and joined Charizard. She would be joining the fire beast in the flight back home. It was a great way to get a bit stronger.
When everything was gathered up Kero stopped for a few moments to study the pictures they had drawn one last time. After a few seconds of looking them over he finally turned and made his way back outside, “Ready?” He asked everyone. Charizard leaned down to allow Kero to climb onto his back. This time he stayed lowered to let Alvaro ride on his back as well. He wasn’t going to do any crazy flying on the way back down.

However, as Kero spoke of getting everything, Alvaro smiled a bit and nodded before deciding to remain standing on the 'balcony' of sorts and looking out at the clouds and the world beyond. When Kero came back out and asked 'ready', Alvaro looked back a moment and nodded a little. As he walked over to the Charizard, Alvaro took up his bag and then found himself staring as the large flying dragon of sorts waited for him to get on as well. Well... he hadn't expected that one. A light chuckle of sorts escaped from Alvaro, yet in another moment, he slowly pulled himself up onto the back of the Charizard and allowed himself to relax somewhat as he sat there. [/scrolly]

"I'd hold on tight in case he changes his mind" Kero teased as Alvaro climbed up on Charizards back. Charizard simply let out a snort before spreading his wings and allowing himself to fall over the edge of the of the tower. Swablu quickly gave her wings a flap and followed them as they somewhat glided to the bottom of the tower.
When they made it to the bottom Kero decided it best not to get off Charizard. Instead he waited for Alvaro to climb down before reaching out a hand to shake, "Until next time?" He asked with a big smile. Something inside him told him he was going to be itching the next few days to see Alvaro again. But he knew he would have to wait. The best of things always came to those who waited.

This flight was much more fluid than the last, and Alvaro found himself quite enjoying the flight. Once they got to the ground, the green haired man pulled himself and his bags off of the Charizard and then stepped back a little with a smile on his face. As Kero extended the hand, Alvaro took it with his right and then put his left on the back of Kero's hand. "Until next time," he grinned a little before shouldering his bag a bit more and then slowly releasing Kero's hand again. After another moment, he took a few steps away and looked back at Kero before grinning a bit and starting to walk again. Heh.... that seemed to be the end of it all... well.. for that point in time, anyways... As far as Alvaro could tell, he still had a days walk ahead of him. [/scrolly]

Kero smile seemed to widen a bit as Alvaro took Kero's hand into both of his and replied. Something about the action made Kero happier the getting a simple hand shake from the man. Kero then watched as Alvaro began to walk away. He would have waited until Alvaro was out of site if could but seemed after Alvaro looked back and began walking again, Charizard felt it was time to go. Before Kero even had a chance to protest the Charizard gave a mighty flap of his wings and they were off into the air. Yet as they flew away Kero continued to look back until Alvaro was nothing more but a small dot in the distance.
