She... hadn't wanted to be alone... if he had said no.... It sounded selfish, really.... And the alone part didn't make any sort of sense to him seeing as he found himself rather fine alone... at least for the most part... As Kali continued on, Yue simply blinked a moment rather surprise. She talked about him.... He didn't quite know whether to be flattered or worried about what she talked about, exactly. Again, that thought on shadow pokemon was nagging at him rather hard. Despite this slight worry, he still did hold her closer and simply nodded his head a little. "Ah," he answered back rather easily. "You shouldn't say too much though," he said rather seriously before looking out the large gaping hole in the wall for a few seconds. Deciding to shift the conversation if a bit, he breathed inwards. "So what do you think made that?" he asked. [/scrolly]

"Eh. My first guess was a Dragonite, but that's mostly just because one of mine busted out of the wall.." Apparently, though, she'd missed the intention of changing the subject. "I don't though." As her mind ran through the incidents, she suddenly felt rather lonely indeed. "..Actually.. I already told you about Sen." She remembered then that Leon wasn't the only one who gave false names. "-Or.. whatever he introduced himself as, I don't remember.. Something with an A.. But yeah, and then there was the weekend of therapy with Kaito, and..." She grimaced a bit. "The only other person I've talked to was the time you knew about with Nathan." And that bastard knew more about him than she did, especially at the time. Mm... She really did need to hunt him down some time... Given recent events, Kali actually had some questions for him; that would be a change. "I... guess I sort of 'hung out' with Ven when I was making her over just the other night, but we didn't really talk much.." Kali sighed. "All in all... you're really my only friend." Sen... She did hope he would be, but.. Honestly she didn't know for sure if she'd get to see him again or not. She smiled rather distantly. "Not... that I need anyone but you..." She hummed softly, going rather limp in his arms. "Though... If I had someone else to talk to, I could be happy without distracting you quite so much.." She laughed softly. "I'm sure today is going to kill you later." She'd have to work extra hard to see if she couldn't help more. As much as she often pouted, she still did feel a bit bad when she really thought about it for slowing him- them- down.. Suddenly, she blinked a bit; speaking of hard work.. Meh.....However, as he listened to what she had to say, Yue found he already knew about those whom she had talked to....So then it wasn't that bad, really seeing as the only one that he would mildly worry about would be Nathan, and that was for different reasons than the others. At the statement on him being her only friend, Yue just blinked.... Really......heh.......... M... The thought on a friend was interesting, though seeing as it would mean she'd stop distracting him.... but... then again... though he'd never admit it aloud, Yue recognized that it was alright to be distracted once in a while... At Kali's last comment, Yue just stared. She'd been working on a machine? "What machine?" he finally asked wondering if she had been going through one of the broken ones or one of the ones that hadn't functioned for some reason or another. He highly doubted that Kali would go and work on any of the actually working machines without at least alerting him previous to now.... [/scrolly]

She blushed rather deeply here. "I've... sort of been on it since a few weeks after I got here, working in little increments in my spare time." Part of her prayed the whole 'little spare time' bit would counteract the 'eight months on one machine'. "I've been" dying over "going through whatever manuals I could find and trying to teach myself.. and... I've had to go back and redo most of the earlier stuff- some of it a few times- but... I think I've almost got it? .. And I've learned a lot, anyway." For a good few seconds, he didn't even move but seemed to be going over this in his mind. Why the hell hadn't he been teaching her to begin with........ She was his apprentice ... <_\; He had just been so busy with everything... getting the lab fully functioning and working over the machines...and...and.... but.... but still.... Though not all the thoughts on keeping at least one fundamental part of the machine's workings to himself had worked their way out of him.. he could have at least taught her the basics of the machines even with limited success that she had warned him about in the beginning......Breathing in, he half smiled and then hugged her a bit tighter. "I see..." he answered back. "I'll look it over when we get home," he smiled. [/scrolly]

I guess that's enough heavy thoughts for the moment. ...C'mere." As she spoke, she pulled away from him, grabbing her bag from beside her and getting up to head toward the hole in the wall. Stopping a bit short, she reached into the bag and pushed the rest of its contents aside to pull up the light sleeping bag she carried. "Let's relax a little while.. Maybe trade some more random facts," she suggested with a light laugh. Meanwhile, she spread the sleeping bag out on the floor, ending a few feet from the hole, and then lay down on her back, looking 'up' to stare out at the clouds. It was no more comfortable, or not enough to really make a difference, but a bit cleaner. After a few moments, she smirked a bit. "Shiny Pokemon aren't the only sparkly things I fawn over," she informed him, feeling rather like a raccoon or a Meowth. "I love jewelry. Or anything with glitter even." Her smirk widened as she chuckled a bit, becoming almost sarcastic. "You know. Just if you hadn't noticed.." It shouldn't have been hard, but then.. He was him. Crossing his legs in front of himself and looking out, Yue put an elbow on one of his knees and his head on the adjoining hand. "I noticed," he answered back looking at her sideways before looking back out again. "Any particular reason why though aside from the simple fact that it sparkles?" he asked half curious and half simply working out a response. [/scrolly]

"Is there any particular reason why you like sweet food or the color red?" She decided it would be better to include multiple things just in case there actually was a story behind one. After asking, she recalled something about Ein apparently keeping a stash of sweets Leon wasn't allowed to have, but a person's tastes were generally pretty well developed by that age, and she doubted something so simple as 'you can't have it' would cause a young man to suddenly develop such a strong love of something. "I've just always liked them." Of course, the memory of a certain sparkly green dragon had long since been buried deep in her subconscious. She considered trying to think of another random fact or perhaps asking him something else, but eventually decided to just wait and see if he might offer or ask something.[/scrolly]	[atrb=style,border:0 black none;]

Fair enough," he answered back shrugging his shoulders a little. "And the reason I like sweets is because they taste good and give boosts of energy... the color red... eh... I'm not sure on that one." He liked the color red... eh... After a few seconds, Yue deadpanned and nearly face/palmed as he finally found something form his childhood to associate red with. Nathan. "Carbs taste good and boost energy.." she teased a bit. Realizing it was a bit hard from here to keep looking between him and the clouds, she rolled toward him onto her stomach, crossing her arms in front of her. "You should relax.." she murmured. As she began thinking about snuggling with him, Kali suddenly found herself yawning, then giving a poor attempt to stifle it. "Mm." She gave a weak laugh. "Actually, I could go for a nap.." Not that she wanted to miss even a moment of this day, of course. Grinning, she added, "Maybe we should've had dessert after all.. You know, for the enegry boost." Mmmm... She needed something else to ask that she didn't already know... One big question came to mind, but the mood didn't feel right for something so major. As she rummaged through a sea of thoughts, it seemed the only other thing she could really concentrate on was their relationship, especially their issues within it. Right now, however, they were supposed to be having a little fun, not having serious therapy. Finally, though, a thought on those lines did strike her fancy, and she asked, "So hey... If you had to say- and you do- what one thing would you say you love most about me?" "Your determination," he answered back raising his eyebrow and smirking a little after having said it. "Though it can also be the thing that frustrates me the most about you." he laughed a little at this and shook his head a bit before looking out. "But ya... My turn to question? After going to the Orre, where do you want to go first after that?" It was a completely random question, really, but he didn't feel like turning the previous question around on her and instead went for something a bit more random original. [/scrolly]

Well, I am a Taurus~ she thought rather proudly. Of course, this became a bit more sheepish at the follow-up, and she had to laugh a bit. She'd long-since accepted the trait as a two-edged sword, after all. "It happens," she almost teased. The question brought a rather surprised, reaction, however, and suddenly Kali's mind went blank. "Where first..?" .__. Well... Huh. ...Hoenn and Kanto both had a lot of nice islands.. Some of Kanto's were pretty tropical, from what she'd heard. That could be cool.. Or.. Castelia City was one of the biggest in the world. ...Like a super-sized Gateon, actually, both a port and near the desert. But then.. they'd just be leaving the Orre, so it would probably be nicer to add some more variety between... Unova in general had a pretty long history, and apparently had had some excitement not too long ago, though Kali rarely paid enough attention to foreign news to say just what. She'd heard of some interestingly-colored Pokemon in some region.. Hanadou, was it? And if they went far enough, they might find some place that kept little contact with the Orreran area- perhaps with new Pokemon or something else interesting. Or perhaps a region without Pokemon- less than Orre, even. Any scenario she could think of piqued her interest. Finally really thinking on it, over a minute later, Kali finally shrugged, "Everywhere." Once she'd realized it, it seemed pretty obvious. "There's more to see than can ever... be seen..." The last two words were slightly mumbled upon realizing what she'd just quoted. .... New decision: when they left, Kali was going out and buying some DVDs. They were going to have a Disney marathon soon. Back on topic, however.. Propping her head on one hand and smiling at him, she explained, "It's not really so much about where we go. Thinking on it a bit, she eventually came across something that may have been a little odd, but she couldn't seem to resist. "...So I have to. ...Nathan and Kaito.. both said that Ein-" she debated whether or not 'Master' Ein would be more appropriate as a 'rightful title' or offensive as he wasn't her master, but just the name seemed to have been fine before- "discouraged any distractions in his lab.. But you didn't go to work for him until around my age, right? ... Were you ever really interested in girls in the years before that? And if so, what was your 'type'?" Upon thinking about it, Kali found herself actually a bit surprised by her own reasons. Rather than the sort of inferiority or jealousy that had once come with any thought of him paying any attention to another girl, she was purely just curious. Perhaps it was because this was past and not present (though that still didn't cover every worry she'd ever had), or maybe she actually was growing up a bit. Sadly, Kali actually did readily believe that, but it was still pretty hard to in theory. She was really the first girl he'd ever... anything. She gave a distant, easy smile at this. And he's mine.. Heh.. It seemed he wasn't a Joy fan then, too. Not that it particularly mattered, but it was interesting enough to know. The Pokemon Center, however, was new. Considering just what else she'd like to know about that, another bit hit her. "How long did you work there?" It.. couldn't have been too long, right? "From the time I was nine or ten to right before I left with the master," he answered back. "So almost eight or nine years, give or take," he finished for a second or two before beginning again. "I lived in Scorch and met quite a bit of the Joy clan. I had a few friends within the Joy clan, but they were more like..." he stopped a moment and shrugged his shoulders a little. "Sisters rather than anything." Yep, emotional, mildly obsessive sisters that worked on his every nerve. However, he took them as they were and went on. As he thought about it, Yue could figure how that might have seemed and mentally sighed a little. "I was raised by one of the nurses there till I left with Master Ein... By the time I came back here, it seemed that that pokemon center had closed due to lack of funds under Nolan I think...." He brought a hand to his chin in thought on that one before finally deciding that it was right. [/scrolly]

Well, that did probably fill in most of the unknown years in her mental timeline, she supposed, but... However, the thought of an adorable little kiddie-Leon being chased and coddled by an army of pink-haired little girls made it impossible not to laugh at least a bit, even with her effort to hold it back, and that helped her mind brighten a bit. At least he hadn't been alone for... Well.. A full day at that age was too long, but not as long as it could've been. And it was oddly comforting to get a bit of confirmation that he actually should know more about women than what he'd learned being with her and from textbooks. Not that that ever stopped him from being an oaf at times, but eh. He was her big, lovable oaf. When he explained the nurse raising him and the Center's closing, though... "It-" Kali cut off, hand moving toward her mouth as she debated whether or not she'd need it to hide the horrified expression. It's almost like he's lost three parents, was the thought to come to mind, though she'd fought it back. Certainly if it were true he didn't need her reminding him. Really, she didn't know for certain that the center's closing meant he never found her again elsewhere, so.. Yeah. Kali kept her mouth shut, until suddenly another thought clicked rather prominently in her head. ".....You never had a childhood...." she murmured, as much in awe as pit. Perhaps she was wrong.. "Eh, work was fine though... I found it much more interesting under Master," he said dropping off a little bit at the end. He really didn't have one when he thought about it, but even this thought seemed to twist around in his head a bit and somehow reassured him that he had been fine without one. The crackling of thunder that vibrated Yue's ears was enough to cause the white haired man to blink and then stare out of the castle. It seemed to be trying to threaten rain but whether or not it actually would fulfill its promise or not was up for debate. [/scrolly]

Kali suddenly jumped a bit, then shuddered. If any more subtle rumbling had preceded it, it had escaped the girl's notice, but that was a bit hard to miss. Ugh... Well, it had been gray all day. It wasn't a surprise or anything, even if still... unpleasant.. A sudden nervous tone finding her voice, she half-admitted, "So... Next subject then? I am.... very much unnerved by thunder. ..But not so much lightning." It wasn't a 'fear'. She just really really really didn't like it. That was all. <<;; Sitting up now and moving to cling to him a bit, she asked, "Anything like that for you..?"
