Z cloned himself again, then loosed his attack. The Thunder was much more bearable this round, but still pretty nasty. The plasma-like Substitute which formed in a Lapras shape took quite a bit out of Jubbal itself, but should last a bit while Xavier figured out what to do, drawing Z like a magnet until it was destroyed. However, the Sing did not go over so well, Z's evasion with the already abysmal accuracy of the move making an unfortunate combo indeed. The sun's rays intensified over the battlefield, as if shining a massive spotlight on the site of combat. As Pyro leashed a Flamethrower, Knight's face became unnaturally horrifying, a power bordering on supernatural seeping into the Magmortar's mind and making him to wary to move at his full speed. However, poor Knight had no time to continue his orders once the Flamethrower hit. Between the powerup of the sunlight and then ungodly difference in Pyro's special attack compared to Knight's special defense.... The term "overkill" might have been an understatement at this point, leaving the kitten on his back, twitching, and possibly a little crispy. As predicted, the Protect failed to work a second time. The Porygon's Thunder would have been a nasty sting even with the Lapras's wonderful special defense, but luck was not on their side, and Z landed a critical hit. Jubbal's own thunder hit pretty hard, but nothing like the blow he took. (x3 You can; just know your odds of Protects in succession are super low.) Though the day had been clear, dark clouds formed out of nowhere over only their battlefield as rain began to pour. Thunder crashed as one bold bolt split the sky directly towards Jubbal, but the Lapras managed to Protect himself. Unfortunately, Xavier apparently hadn't thought that through completely, or had momentarily forgotten one or both of his own Pokemon's abilities. With Z Tracing Jubbal's Water Absorb, the super-powered raining Surf just acted as a super-powered health spa, healing the Porygon for far more than the tiny damage it had earlier inflicted upon itself. The Sneasel's lightning speed scored a devastating hit right off the bat. The 'tough guy' seemed to either not know his own strength or be having fun with this indeed! He proved as much a glass canon as his species was generally known to be, however, as the Haunter's punch hit nearly as hard. Worse, it left the Sneasel with a rather nasty burn. The Aerial Ace hit as always, but even with the Absol's incredible strength the Pawniard's resistance made it largely ineffective. The Manectric was faster by far, her levitation rendering the Earthquake useless, both now and for a while to come unless Drake and his Haxorus found a way to bring her back down to earth. Meanwhile, the Charge Beam connected, and while it did rather minimal damage thanks to the dragon's resistance, it did grant the benefit of empowering the Manectric's special abilities a bit. Though his Intimidation had plenty of time to take effect, the Shinx barely had time to charge his fangs before the flaming punch connected, but he took it surprisingly well. His bite soon sank into that fist to discharge its electric energy, hitting surprisingly well, too, though he did also sustain a burn. For as uneven as the fight seemed, it was actually off to a fairly even start. The real question was how long would it last? 'x3; You understand that by to the east it wasn't meant "across the eastern ocean". We need something that shares a land border, so an island doesn't work for obvious reasons. Also, it was strongly implied, though I suppose not directly stated, that it must be at least somewhat old to have been able to be hostile toward Era at some point in the past. Aside from that, if it was an unexplored region until recently, either Era or Orre would have likely expanded into it already, further adding to reasons it should have an older history behind it.
x3 Your alternate names will certainly be considered though.

[ Alaric ] Disturbed was an understatement. In fact, saying he'd rather be hung from the top of Yukishiro Castle by his toes for a full day and then pelted with ice balls, or, say, drowning was probably an understatement. And that particular nickname may have given him the urge to punch this bastard in the face. Seriously, of all the opponents in the entire festival-- Whyyyyy? But he couldn't just run. Make no mistake, he'd have liked to. Fuck the tournament; he didn't expect to win anyway. But no, aside from dealing with how annoyed Honey would be after he talked her into this whole thing in the first place, there were people watching. And for all that Alaric's face was pretty well on par with Sen's hair in both embarrassment and mild anger, the only thing worse than being hit on by a guy was all those horrid stares people gave him like he was some kind of intolerant bastard for wanting no part of it. Not that he particularly liked the fact that it went on anyway, but at least if he wasn't involved he could ignore it.. Worse than just the people passing through, though, he was almost positive he'd seen Bianca in the crowd earlier, even though she'd been gone by the time he got there. He most definitely didn't want to be explaining to her that he walked away from something like this just because he was a raging homophobe. ... Maybe... maybe he could ignore this too? Yes, that's right. Like his mother used to tell him about bullies in school! Granted, it took months or more to work on any of them, but maybe he'd get lucky and-- fuck, Arc was it?-- yeah maybe he'd have a shorter attention span. Face still blazing red and expression still wildly unamused, he did his best if a poor job of acting unphased and just released his Pelipper. "Water Pulse," he muttered, voice totally not shaky at all, that must have just been everyone's imaginations. Tide blinked at his opponent a bit as he was released, but then just straightened up a bit, let out a little affirmative squeak of a squawk, and prepared to loose the attack as ordered. Monster's attack hit just about the time he himself was overtaken with confusion, managing to land a simply devastating blow which took out over half of the Dusknoir's remaining health. Third's intervention, for all BJ may dislike it, was probably for the best. Another shot like that and the collective Jack would be down one almost before they started. The Heat Wave washed over Zang with force- the Arcanine's special prowess far lower than his physical, but the Zangoose's defenses nigh equally mismatched. Not that the Poison Jab was any laughing matter, causing quite the literal thorn in Blazer's side, but the Arcanine proved superior this time. The Slash landed with deadly accuracy, scoring a nasty critical hit. Fortunately for Ilya and Abby, it was only from a Pawniard and not a Bisharp or the like. Meanwhile Abby's power soared from her status move; this may turn into an interesting fight indeed, regardless the Pawniard's resistance.

Monster hit first, though just by a slim margin, using rather than its own strength the strength of the ghost. The blow was devastating, but hardly enough to take the bulky beast down this fast, and the wave of kinetic energy soon ravaged the hound in turn, though not nearly with the same force with which it had been hit despite being Super Effective.
