“So this is the Amphitheater?” Ari said questionably he looked around just to see a stadium of steel. “Well if a Riolu is here I’m going to find it I’m not leaving without” one he said determined. Ari began exploring the stadium “so this is where the tournament is held?” he asked then realized there was no one around to answer. Felling like a moron yet again he continued walking.
It was so hot that he was sweating walking at a slow pace and in his sleeveless white vest which he whore with no shirt underneath. He sat down in one of the seats “I don’t see one single Riolu” Ari said annoyed. “I know their rare but seriously” he said getting more annoyed by the minute. “Oh well better keep looking” he said intently.

A few isles over, a Hitmontop was spinning on it's head trying to break the record. A few others surrounded it, cheering it on with their chants echoing through the theater. "Top. Top. Top." they cried, as a fourth one a little ways off was watching the sun intently, evidently keeping the time. |

“Hitmontop?” he said wearily, were indeed rare Pokémon but he needed a Riolu and nothing was going to stop him. He got up and started searching again as the sun beat down he began to sweat. “Where are you Riolu!” he screamed in the empty stadium it echoed for a few seconds. Ari made a 360 to try and find it “ugh” he said frustrated. He continued walking even though this journey seemed hopeless.

Katie stood next to her riolu partner and watched the person infront of them search around desperately for a Riolu"Excuse me but why do you want a Riolu?"She asked as she and her Riolu partner walked closer to him.

Ari turned his head to see the girl "it’s a simple answer really" Ari said with a serious tone. Riolu evolves into lucario and a lucario is a strong fighting type" he said looking directly at her. "And I need strong Pokémon for what I have planned". Ari then looked at the girls little Riolu and said with a smile "one day you will be stronger then you ever imagined".

The riolu looked up at Ari"Im sure I will be"He said.
"Oh yeah this is my partner Benik."Said Katie"Ive had him since the day I was born."She added.
"She's had me since I was an egg i was a gift from her parents and her first pokemon right now she prefers her vulpix over me though."Said Benik
"For battle I prefer Arkis but your my second choice during any battle Benik."Said Katie.
"Yes I know and he's the pokemon you always keep out of his pokeball at all times even when it's not nessecary."Said benik

Ari looked at the tiny Pokémon in awe "did that Pokémon just talk" he said really confused. Ari had never seen a talking Pokémon before so he was really surprised. With a shocked expression on his face Ari looked at the girl. Right before he did a 360 check for another Riolu finding nothing he looked back at the tiny Pokémon. "Well when you evolve I’m sure you will be a first choice in battle" he said with a big grin.

"Truthfully I am not a fan of powerful pokemon I prefer pokemon that care for me and all three of my pokemon care about me especially Arkis.And all three of my pokemon can talk."Said Katie."I shouldnt mention this to you but I am of nobility so my family ensured that my first pokemon would be able to speak."Said Katie.
"I am more like a twin brother to Katie since I have been with her since the day she was born Arkis is her best friend and protector."Said Benik.

Nobility ? He thought right before Ari put a serious face on. "Your right you shouldn't have mentioned that to me" he said in a serious tone. "I’ll say this once i despise nobles". "Any noble I've ever known has either used Pokémon as tools to do their bidding and most of them are shadow Pokémon". When Ari said shadow Pokémon he infuriated himself at the thought. Ari then walked away before he did something that he would regret.

"This girl is different, she has the ability to care for others and has helped many pokemon when they are in need of assistence she dispises other nobles and is even part of the rebellion."Benik shouted.
"They never believe that im different, my parents had been the only ones that knew that I was nothing like the other nobles."Said Katie."And I have never even seen a shadow pokemon before."Katie said and then picked up the pokeball from her belt"Arkis."She said and threw the pokeball at the ground releasing the vulpix from the pokeball.
"Katie!"Arkis shouted as he tackled his human girl licking her face happily.
Katie's frown became a smile as she hugged Arkis to her cheast"You acan always make me smile little buddy!"Katie said as she hugged him.

Ari turned his head slightly he still had a nasty look on his face. "i don't care if you say your different the fact of the matter is your still a noble" he said with a nasty tone. "I despise nobles with every ounce of my being". "i barley trust people as it is and the word noble means untrustworthy in my book" he said with a serious tone. He looked at the girl and her Pokémon they seemed innocent enough but he couldn't trust a noble not after what they have done to him..

Arkis looked furiously at Ari"Hey you jerk would a noble's pokemon stand up for her if she was anything like the other nobles?If Katie was like them I would be laying in the middle of a dirt road with a broken leg!But shes not bad she chose to help me fix my broken leg and gave me a place to live.She's my family and I love her!And I and the other two pokemon she has are the only family she has left after her parents were killed."He shouted.
TheWord parents seemed to make Katie become sad er than she was .Katielooked at Arkis"I-I think you've said too much."Said Katie as tears began to form on her face"He doesnt need to know about my parents."She added.

“Parents killed?” He asked in a polite tone. Now feeling sorry for the poor girl and feeling like a jerk for what he had said. He then turned to her “I’m sorry to hear that” I know your story let me tell you mine. “I am a commoner neither a peasant nor a noble”. “One day my dad left for a project he was working on”. “Hired by nobles to research shadow Pokémon” he said sadly. “My father left that day but never came back he went missing when they couldn’t find him my father was pronounced dead”. “On the same day he left he gave me this dog tag” ari said as he pointed to his neck. It’s engraved with the words stay strong”.”I always thought that if I was stronger back then I could have saved him” Ari said this as tears began to roll down his face.

Katie looked at him"My parents well my mother at the time was pregnant with a new child this happened when I was twelve years old I was so happy to hear that I would have a new sibling and I was going to come back to our home in time to see the baby being born but on the way there I received a messange from a friend of the family he was also a noble and when I was growing up he had cared alot for me but when I read the message it was as if he had become completely different and it said that if I didnt return home he would kill my parents but the reason he wanted me to return was so he could kill me and Arkis being the smart and loving pokemon that he is told me that if I went he would kill me and my parents as well.I was so scared I had no idea what to do so instead of rushing over there to meet an untimely death I ran as far away from our home as possible making sure that he wouldnt be able to catch up to me.Then a week after I had stopped running from him I received a new letter that was from one of our family's servents that stated my parents were dead."Katie said"But our friend the one who had killed my parents he, he had changed due to a lust for power and wealth, he wanted to kill my family so he could claim what was ours.So I took a vow to never become anything like the other nobles."She said."And that wasnt the end of it Nobles have constantly been trying to kill me that's how I got these two scars on my face."She said pointing to the scars one went over her left eye and the other over her right eye.Her scars seemed to be more like deep gashes and were her dominant feature but there was something else, her arms were both wrapped in bandages and her hands had burn wounds.

“Well that’s in the past now” Ari said holding his hand out to the girl. “If anyone tries to hurt you just give me a call and be there before you know it alright” he said with a smile on his face. “Are world is screwed up there is no changing that fact, all we can do is stay strong!” he said with a determined tone and a face to match. He then proceeded to say kindly “my trust is hard to ear n don’t screw it up ok?” He then stared at the girl and her Pokémon not bad for a noble he thought as his hand was still extended out to her.

Katie smiled"Yeah your right and I wouldnt dream of breaking your trust."She said.
Arkis looked up at Katie and his stomach began to growl" Katie i'm hungry."He said as he sniffed to see if she had any food.
"Ok I think I have a little bit of pokemon food for you and Benik.I should probably let Tamba out as well."Katie said as she took another pokeball and let out a pichu with a torn ear.katie reached into her back pack and found some food for her pokemon."Here you go."She said putting the food in bowls for them to eat out of.

At the sight of a piachu Ari’s face lit up “how cute!” he exclaimed. Ari loved anything small and cute especially Pokémon. “What’s your name little guy?” he asked with excitement. Staring at the piachu intently waiting for a response since he knew it could talk. The sun began taking its toll on Ari as he began to sweat.

The pichu looked up at Ari"My name is Tamba."It said in a high pitched voice.The pichu looked at the food placed in front of it and began to eat like the other two pokemon.
Katie smiled and watched her pokemon eat"You guys are so adorable it's hard to believe that benik is going to become a lucario, Arkis is going to be a ninetails and Tamba a raichu one day although raichu is still pretty cute."Said Katie.
