Vengeance felt her face go red at his suggestion that she change and she opened her eye and looked at him from where she lay. "There's nothing wrong with my outfit..." she replied in a somewhat nervous voice as her heart began to beat faster inside her chest,"It looks just like the one I'm wearing..." Saying this, she sat up and pulled her bag closer to her, feeling her face heat up even more as she pulled out the black look alike to the grey outfit she was wearing now. "Stay right there..." she said as she took the outfit and walked over to where Lucifer was and whispered something in his ear.
Lucifer looked at Alaric then back at Vengeance and nodded, standing up to his full height and spreading out his wings as far as they could go, effectively blocking Alaric's view of his trainer.

Alaric blinked in surprise at the order and maneuver, then laughed sheepishly. "You really don't have to do that. I wasn't planning to watch," he managed through his laughter. Not that he would at all mind or anything, but.. "Glydre?" he called. "If you would?" He smiled then before turning his back, even as the Gligar once more came spiraling down with a cheshire grin. After a moment, he landed on his trainers shoulders, winged arms wrapping tight around his trainer's head, causing Alaric to laugh lightly. Had he seen the bright blush and completely infatuated look on the scorpibat's face, he may not have found it so amusing, but as it was, he remained oblivious to that factor. "Would this work?"

Vengeance had just pulled off her shirt when she heard Alaric start to laugh. Feeling her face heat up at his response she quickly pulled on her dry shirt, feeling warmer already when Alaric called down his Glydre to block off his view. Feeling more heat come to her cheeks, she balled up the shirt and threw it at Alaric's head right where Glydre was now hugging him, infuriated that he was actually teasing her about this.

The ground-type cringed and hissed violently as the wet bundle struck him, splattering the stinging liquid all over his back. In response, he lashed out with one arm, spinning to fling the horrid object away... and turning Alaric's head in the process. ...Just in time to catch her just starting on her pants. The young man's face flushed-- at the situation, not the sight, but all the same-- as he violently pulled his head back forward, and Glydre with it. He coughed, wondering whether he should apologize quickly or avoid bringing attention to it in case she hadn't noticed.

Vengeance had indeed noticed the movement and now felt herself heat with embarrassment before practically ripping off her wet pants putting on the dry ones, hoping that the stupid Glydre wouldn't do that again. Coming out from behind Lucifer, she picked up her wet clothes and was thinking about just leaving then and there when she realize that her shirt...was over by Alaric.
Mentally swearing over her idiocy she walked over to where her shirt was and picked it up, brushing as much sand off as she could even though it was still horribly wet. Moving over to her bag she knelt by it, her back pointedly turned toward Alaric and contemplated just stuffing the clothes inside and dry them later when she found her destination. But...no...the pictures would be ruined and that was the last thing she wanted.
Pushing herself to her feet she thought about hanging the wet clothes in the tree when she spotted her rather feminine garments there as well...somehow hanging those in the tree didn't seem like the best choice when around a man especially one who had... Heat rushed to her face again and she looked down at the ground, wet clothes still in one hand while she pulled at the hairband that held her sopping wet hair in a ponytail. Finally freeing it from the tangled mess, she placed it on her wrist and shook her head, splashing droplets of water on the sand...and on Glydre as she did so.
With her hair now hiding her face, Vengeance finally decided to hang the clothes up in the tree, wishing for all the world that Alaric would just disappear right then and there so that he wouldn't...couldn't see. Sitting back down in the sun as far away from Alaric as possible, she lay down, tearing her eye patch off as she did so and setting it in the sun next to her where it could dry as well. This done, she closed her eyes and sighed, if Vengeance had her way she would not speak to Alaric the rest of the time she was there.

At the water splashing him, Glydre turned with eyes narrowing and a seething hiss. Seeing she was finished, he quickly decided 'fuck this' and reluctantly released his trainer to take refuge in the trees again, planning his revenge on the insolent human. That dragon may prove an obstacle... Hm... Yes, careful planning indeed...
Meanwhile, Alaric glanced back carefully at Glydre's leaving to confirm she was indeed finished, though she seemed to be busy with her hair at the moment. .... Which reminded him. A hand flying back to clutch the ends of his own hair, the young man sneered to feel sand caught in the wet locks. That... simply wouldn't do. No. Getting up, he walked briskly back to the water's edge and in it enough to be able to flip his hair over and dip in, bordering-on-frantically running his hands through it to loosen in and get the sand out. Once content, he turned back to find Vengeance now laying down some bit off- as she'd been for some five minutes now.
Thinking little of it, he returned to his bag and pulled out an assortment of several hairbrushes and combs before going to sit a few yards away from her and starting to brush through his hair incessantly. After about two minutes, he glanced over toward the girl. "...Wanna borrow one?" he offered, a little reluctantly but deciding it was only polite.

Lucifer heard the hiss and turned to see Glydre flying up in the trees. Narrowing his eyes, the Sazandora watched him fly up into the trees and growled a warning as he continued to watch the area Glydre had flown to.
Vengeance by now had relaxed somewhat after her embarrassment and was now laying down with her hands underneath her head. No doubt the sand was clinging to her still wet hair but she didn't care about it, there would be time to fix it later but sand was sand, what more could you do? Hearing Alaric speak, she opened her eyes, feeling somewhat off without her eye patch, not that mattered considering she was blind in the eye it normally covered. It took a moment to register that he was offering to let her borrow a hair brush but finally she nodded. At the very least it would not be such a pain to put back up in a ponytail. "Yes...thank you..."she replied as she sat up.

Alaric smiled gently at her, then thinking on conversation options as he continued to work on his own hair. A sudden realization hit, however, and prior to continuing with her he turned to look over his shoulder. "Boxer, could you be sure to stay close to her clothes?" The Ponyta nodded and moved as ordered, and Alaric turned his attention back to Vengeance. He was in no hurry to lose the company, but if helping her be able to leave faster made her happy~ He could just hope she'd decide not to. "So do you travel the desert a lot?" he asked casually.

Taking the hair brush, Vengeance began to brush her hair out with slow strokes, not wanting to hurt her scalp by pulling out the tangles too fast. Even though she didn't really do much with her hair, Vengeance still knew how annoying tangles were to manage. After a few moments she finished brushing out her hair and set the hair brush down in the sand where Alaric could easily reach it before putting her hair back into its usual ponytail with practiced ease. Nodding her thanks to Alaric for asking the Ponyta to dry her clothes, she thought for a moment on his question before finally shaking her head 'no'. "Normally I stay in one place...near the city...but I was told that a building, or the remnants of one, could be found somewhere out here...I was trying to find it before I stopped here."she replied in a monotone voice before arranging her ponytail so that it sat over the front of her shoulder and laying back down again.

A small part of him twitched inside as he did his best to simply take rather than snatch the brush, wiping the sand off of it carefully before setting it on his lap and getting back to work, continuing to comb at a handful of hair idly. In the meantime, he watched her with intrigue. "What kind of building?" he asked, purely curious.

Vengeance sighed at the question and placed her hands behind her head, closing her eyes as she relaxed. "I don't know what it looks like now...perhaps not as different as the building back in Orre..." she began in a monotone voice, "If that is true then it won't be anything special, just an old building in the middle of the sand...a shelter...of sorts..."

He blinked, curiosity rising. He'd never heard of anything out.... "What kind of shelter?" Maybe he could help? Or... Hm.

Vengeance opened her eyes, staring up at the clear sky as if contemplating her answer back to the man. After a moment she sighed and closed her eyes yet again. "I thought the whole purpose of me changing was because you wanted me to rest..."she replied in a monotone voice, hoping the change of subject would be enough to dissuade him from questioning further.

It was all he could do to keep his twitching mental. She was very clearly hiding something, and that unnerved him. He hated lying, but worse- what if she was in some sort of trouble? Could she be hiding it out of fear? Of course.. There was always the other possibility that she was involved quite willingly in some less than legal activity, and-.. Alaric shook his head violently just a moment, snapping himself out of the daze. Whatever her story, it wasn't his concern, right? At least not immediately..
"Heh.. Right.." he half-muttered, trying to keep a light tone despite his now-riled nerves. After a moment, he gave a light smirk. "I'd offer to keep an eye out if you wanted to sleep, but I think between the three of them your dragon's got it pretty well covered~" he chucked.

Vengeance smiled slightly at the remark and nodded. "Lucifer has always been there..."she said in a slightly happy tone, relaxing even further in remembering the Hydreigon that was her ever faithful companion. The warmth from the Ponyta was beginning to make Vengeance rather comfortable and she was beginning to feel the weariness of the past few days catching up to her. Seeing no other help for it, Vengeance allowed herself to succumb to her fatigue and slowly drifted off to sleep, her breathing growing deeper as a result.
Lucifer watched the two humans converse carefully, making sure that the man wouldn't hurt Vengeance, not that it seemed likely at the time but then again, the Hydreigon didn't know the man very well to be a good judge of character. Her certainly seemed harmless enough...after all he had helped Vengeance out when she needed it...had even made her laugh. Smiling at the brief glance of the girl he had once knew, Lucifer relaxed. It seemed the man had even convinced her to rest which the Hydreigon found rather amusing. They had been travelling for quite sometime and during that time only he had slept, Vengeance had always had other things to do during that time and had never once had the time to rest, nor did she see the need to. Still keeping a head fixed on the area that the Glydre had flown into , Lucifer continued to survey the area with one head while the middle head continued to watch the two humans. So far it seemed there was no danger in sight, although the Glydre seemed like he could cause some trouble...something Lucifer was not going to allow, at least not if Vengeance was in anyway involved.

After all this time of the water being undisturbed, two Pokemon peeked out. A Feebas floated near the edge, frowning at the two though not necessarily in a really negative way. It was just how his face always was... But he did seem saddened. These two humans were attractive, despite some minor inconveniences. He wished he could be like that... The Pokemon next to him was an Azurill, but rather than the normal blue, she was a light green color. The little creature seemed to be attempting to hide, although she was still curious enough to poke her head out to see what the people were doing.

[ Alaric ] Alaric sort of just stared off into space as they spoke now, particularly after her comment. It brought back a lot of memories, he found, and after a minute or so he softly murmured, "Sort of like Honey..." Wistful grin on his face, he turned to her with a "She saved my life you-" ....know? The noble sniffed a small laugh. Well look at that. Asleep already. Sighing to himself, he debated what to do now. Minorly stalkerish as he could be at times, even he realized it was kind of creepy to just watch a girl in her sleep. At least when she wasn't in his bed, or him in hers, etc. Fortunately, however, he didn't have long to wait, as some Pokemon soon showed themselves. Fun enough, the green sparkling Azurill elicited no more than a small surprised blink followed shortly by a "Heh.." He recognized the rarity, and was intrigued at the odds of finding it, but his interest ended there. The fish, however, did catch his attention. After initially dismissing it with the same 'hey Pokemon, cute' attitude as usual, the gears in his head began to turn, and suddenly he simply had to catch it for Vengeance. "Hey there pretty fish," he tried in a coo. [/blockquote]

The Feebas looked worried when the man started to approach. Normally, that would mean the person wanted to usher him away because his ugliness was disturbing their time together. He even turned to start swimming away because of this assumption but when he heard the words, he stopped. Turning back, he blinked. The Azurill looked pleased, a soft giggle escaping her. <He called you pretty,> she reiterated, trying to assure her friend that he hadn't heard things wrong.
Pretty... he was pretty? Really? Pretty fish... pretty fish. The Feebas was almost in tears and sped back to the shore, looking up at Alaric wistfully. As a result, he beached himself in a way -- although he could surely escape if he flopped around enough. But it was the first kind thing he'd heard from a human and it was certainly enough to assure this fish that this man meant good things for him. The Azurill now floated in the water a little ways away, watching with a bright smile.

[ Alaric ] The fish's incredible enthusiasm elicited a rather loud and less than graceful laugh from the young man as he very nearly fell over, though a hand moved to stifle it after just a syllable or two for fear of waking Vengeance. Really though, what was he supposed to do? He said three word (or was it four) to the fish and it threw itself on land. That was fucking awesome! The very brief thought of keeping the ridiculous fish flashed through his mind, but he quickly resolved that his initial plan was more important than his sudden fancy. Finally calming down, though unable to wipe the grin off his face if his life had depended on it, Alaric approached the Feebas slowly, mirth still quite apparent in his voice. "Excitable little fish, aren'tcha?" he half-teased. Debating what to do now, he decided asking couldn't hurt. Alaric.. had sort of never actually battled a Pokemon to capture it, and he saw no reason to start right now. [color-gold]"Pretty Fish.. Might I ask a favor?" He nodded toward Vengeance's sleeping form, then looked back to the Feebas. "See my friend there? I just know she'd love a friend like you, and..." He gave a 'you get the idea' smile and a half-shrug. "Could I pretty please ask you to go with her for a while, Pretty Fish?"[/blockquote]

The fish stared at the man as if mesmerized, simply nodding at everything he was saying whether it needed an answer -- or if nodding was the correct reaction -- or not. At the last question, he continued to nod even as he looked over at Vengeance before pausing. Aww, he couldn't go with the handsome man? D8 Oh well... he'd do what he could to make him happy, anyway. 83 He reiterated his nod to show that he wasn't really second guessing himself. The Azurill gave a slightly less enthusiastic smile at the thought of him leaving, but she was still glad to see him so excited. If he was happy, she'd be happy.
The Feebas actually hadn't forgotten her in his excitement, though, and he quickly turned his head as much as he could to look back out over the water at her before giving Alaric a slightly pouty face. He wasn't sure if the man could understand Pokespeech, but he attempted anyway. <Can she come, too? She doesn't have to go with me directly, but I'd hate to leave her here all alone.> Indeed, the oasis was a bit of a paradise in a prison. Especially for Water-types. While she could survive fairly well alone, she didn't have much to explore without drying out.
