Guess whose hospital haz Wifi~ x3 *FLAIL*
Bad news: D; Babeh's brifday is not awesome 1/23.
Good news: |D SG HATH HADZ HIM, and is feeling fine and epic and had no problems of any kind other than pain during and after~ I wasn't even anemic or dehydrated this time. W00t~ His blood sugar was a tiny bit low when he first got here, but they got it up quick enough and it's holding well over the required min now, so yar~ ^^
DETAILS:
So about 4am yesterday morning, SG started having light contractions, and proceeded to have them off and on extremely sporadically all day. Late morning and mid-day, they were actually getting decently strong (for that stage anyway x'3) and consistent, and then almost completely went away and got way weaker, and it was like wutblaaahhh. Then they started going through a decent incline last night, just getting a little longer and stronger like before, yeah, okay. And then OUT OF NOWHERE they were just suddenly coming so quick and consistently and way stronger and WUTISTHIS and yeah. x'D; SG didn't wanna come up here too early and end up waiting around forever or have to go back home because she wasn't far enough along yet, but then IT HAPPENED SO FAST and yeah. x'3;
Anyway, SG got up here probably about 11:30 or so last night and was in labor another six hours or so. ...During the early part of that with still comparitively light pain (when it was hurting like hell but still doable enough), SG actually ended up using aromatherapy to help take some edge off. ...This was done via SG announcing each contraction with "Germ-X!" and hubby going to get some from the pump on the wall and holding his hand to my face for me to breathe in. x'''3 It SERIOUSLY helped for a few hours. xD I LOVE Germ-X<3 (Not Purell; Purell smells kind of lemony I think. x3 Germ-X has that uber stark burn-your-sinuses alcoholy smell and <3)
83 Later on when contractions were starting to get through the moan-cry maybe yell a bit levels, I finally went to an actual delivery room and got pain meds. As some of you know, with Ember, I had next to nothing. .3. I was supposed to have Demerol to curb the pain and make it easier for me to relax and rest between contractions once an hour, and another med to keep that from making me nauseous every four. She misread my charts and thought they BOTH said every four. ;-;' So SG was kind of drone-ish but hurt sooooo bad.
THIS time? 'xD Yeah they didn't have Demerol; they had Stadol. THAT shit WORKS. x'D My contractions were really weird my entire labor, not just yesterday through the day; even when they got really bad they were mostly really long and then abnormally far apart (though occasionally there'd be a few randoms like BOOM-BOOM-BOOM >3<). Between them, I was actually pretty good. x'3 So. They got an IV in me and put in my first shot of meds, and I was just kind of talking to the nurses and Thom for a few minutes like "blah blah blah bl-.. WHOA.. .__. ... *blinkblinkblink?* I feel REALLY dizzy all of a sudden..." x'3 It hit so damn hard and sudden, and not a full minute after the dizziness I realized vision had gone blurry and I had to seriously concentrate to bring anything into focus for a few seconds. xD Once another contraction came the pain was like it had been like upon arriving<3 Eventually they got so bad I was still shrieking and once or thrice even thrashing even with meds, but yeah.. x3 It was still damn nice for a good while~ I was also way more alert than last time somehow, which was good AND bad but yeah. x3
|D Finally, at 5:43 this morning (a minor consolation for not being born 1/23 I guess x3), the tininess that is SG somehow gave birth to a 21 inch 9 pound (literally just at, or all of half an ounce off x3) baby. 8'3 I almost asplodeded~
*SHOT* x'3 But yus.
x3 So after a full pregnancy plus a week and a half plus 10 hours after his birth, we FINALLY decided on a name. ...Mostly. x'3 His name is Varian Leon Barnard~ We haven't agreed fully what we're gonna call him though.. x3 It's probably gonna be Rian (like Ryan) or Leon. MAYBE Leo.
|D This name, though, is just so many levels of win. So one, "Varian Leon" sounds cool and looks nice. Of course, Leon just means Lion. Meanwhile, Varian is the King of Stormwind in World of Warcraft (yes.. x'3) where Rian means "little king". xD .... Think about this a second.. x'3; In a sense, his name is totally Lion King<3<3<3 *destroyed multiple times* X'3 ... xD Also, I'm so gonna have fun with "Rian the Lion" somehow or other... *disintergrated* x'3
Anyway, SG's hardly had any sleep yet so I'ma try to do so now. |3

he is so cute! I love bebeh's. lol and sg ninja turtles are an epic win X3. I remember when my little bro was that small before he got annoying >_>. And either way he has a bad ass name.
