;-; It's not that simplllle. Scrolling divs are so weird in that for some reason and like to require more room than they should, plus the scrollbar takes up part of the width, and what would the couple section even look liiiike? TT3TT
Although... x'3; If we wanted to do a featured thread/member/etc, too... We could turn what we were going to make a current events tab into a general important stuff tab including the staff table (which I'll admit would make it a loooooot easier on me as I'm currently having a hard time figuring out how to fill up that space 'xD) along with the season and current events, maybe long-term announcements (like long-running contests, etc) so that we can remove those from the across-all-forums things so that new ones will stand out more, any currently running large plots like Felis's contest to get them more views... x3 Yes SG likes that.. Then we could rename the CotMs "Featured Characters" and move it to the middle and make the third tab "Other Features" or the like? Then I could see a topic taking up between half and most of the table, depending, with a picture we find conveying a general mood/setting/just-something-to-vaguely-do-with-the-topic and a summary of what happened/is happening in the thread in a little scrollbox and then stacked on top of each other little mini-banner pics for a couple and a member. 83 Charries just give their names and players, and then member their name/profile link and a little one-line synopsis of why they're MotM. (First would be Jay for being the fricking lifeblood of VC, of course. x''3 *SHOT*<3)
