Ah the Sea (Open/Mod)

Raphael took the words to mind but didn't say much until Sen asked how he had ended up a sailor. "I grew up on an island, and the only job that ever suits a man for long out there is to work out on the sea, so I got taken up onto a boat and then never looked back" he answered back leaving out the entire swamp of hate induced revenge plotting, friendship, and love he had spurned for his captain in that time frame along with the crew's chaos in pirating and the like. No, all of that wouldn't be stated and wouldn't be known about unless someone already knew.

Red Hair / Purple Eyes / Pale Skin

He couldn’t imagine living on a island for his entire life. It sounded so small and crowded. The only new faces one would see is visitors. Sen imagined if he had of grown up on an island he would have most likely become a sailor as well just so he could escape from it. But, life hadn’t dealt him that path. Actually he wasn’t quite sure what life had dealt him. “I’d imagine you’ve seen most of the worlds water’s then.” Sen replied wondering exactly how much water there was out there. He really had no concept on how large the world was.

Raphael stopped a moment before chuckling a little at that. "Quite a lot of them," he answered back. "Though I prefer the warmer seas rather than the icy ones up north... The're just annoying to navigate especially with ice storms and general icebergs... ever seen the movie Titanic? he asked after a moment. It was a relatively old movie, indeed, and Raph hadn't seen much of it save for the very end, but he he would still vouch for seeing it. Starting to walk again, Raphael found that he was slowly getting better and better footing. Looking out fully now that he didn't have to constantly look down, Raphael stopped when his eyes caught sight of... a ship? What in the world was that doing in the middle of the sands?

If it weren’t so hot out Sen would have shivered just hearing about the icy seas up north. Just thinking of the lands up north sounded brutal. He didn’t mind cold weather but he didn’t much enjoy it when it went below freezing. Luckily the thought of it was soon erased from his mind as Raphael asked him about the movie. “The one about the unsinkable boat hitting the iceberg and sinking, right?” He asked before shaking his head, “Nah haven’t ever taken the time to watch it. Kind of thought it would be a rather predictable movie” he laughed a bit at this. That wasn’t really the reason he hadn’t watched it. He simply just didn’t take the time to watch movies very often.

When he finished speaking he looked up just in time to see the ship half sunk in the sand. Just seeing it gave Sen an overwhelming excitement. “Holy Arceus! I bet there is treasure or some rare pokemon on that thing!” He announced, as he suddenly sped up, deciding that they were going to go check it out. He even raced passed Rapeal for the first time as he made his way towards the ship. Exploring something this cool was just too much to pass up.

For a brief moment, Raphael watched Sen run after the ship before smirking to himself and heading for it as well. It wasn't so much the treasure and pokemon that could be on it that intrigued the pirate so much as it was the ship itself. It was something rather homey when it came down to it. Upon finally getting close to it, the large muscular man set a hand on one side of it and then slowly walked around it until he found what appearred to be a large hole in the wall of the ship. Motioning for Sen to follow, Raph slowly walked inwards and began looking around rather carefully.

It wasn’t anything special he was picking at. Just dirt or something but it had for some reason kept him occupied. He had finally pulled away from it when Raphael found a whole leading inside and followed him in. There wasn’t much of interest inside in Sen’s opinion. At least not the part they had entered. Perhaps there were other rooms or something they could explore. The ship was rather big. “Think there are any dead guys in here. Maybe it was Red Beards ship.” Sen laughed not fully believing that pirates were even real. [/scrolly] [bg=4f2a66]

Raphael blinked a moment wondering why Sen would suggest such a thing when it was common knowledge that Red Beard had died at sea, yet when it hit him that it was a joke, he mentally face/palmed. Ah, he was sometimes humorless when he thought about it. Starting to walk fully through the hull, Raphael looked around rather slowly. It seemed that door weer thrust open and hanging barely on their hinges. The walls looked rather scratched and beaten up for one reason or another. For a few seconds, Raphael was quiet. "I bet everything has been looted already," he stated aloud before continuing despite his words. Coming to the first room, the tall muscular man looked inwards and found it completely empty. Meh... hm... next room.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Sen let out a small sigh when Raphael pointed out that the ship was most likely already looted. “Yah, you’re probably right.” He agreed, but it was still fun to check everything out. Most of the rooms seemed pretty empty but… you never know what you could find. One mans trash could be another mans treasure. Sen wouldn’t mind finding a new fancy box to hold his toothbrush and other personal things. It would keep them from fumbling around in his bag. Either way, Sen followed close behind Rapheal, peering into the rooms as they passed them. “Well, there could still be some pokemon hiding in here. If any of them can actually stand the heat and sand outside…” [/scrolly] [bg=4f2a66]

Raphael nodded his head a bit before looking into a different room. A sudden screeching sound of metal on would could be heard father into the ship, and for a few seconds, Raphael froze. "Was that...." the pirate started but was unsure of exactly what he was trying to refer to even as he asked the question. Therefore, in the end, he broke off and simply left the question in the air.

Not even bothering to look into the second room, Sen quickly pushed past Raphael and raced in the direction he had heard the sound come from. He hadn't gotten very far when saw two doors beside him and stopped. He really had no idea where the sound had come from. So he just stood there trying his best to listen for any other sounds that might be heard. [/scrolly] [bg=4f2a66]

There didn't seem to be a sound to follow the first, and it was dead silent after that. Raphael had watched Sen head off towards a different roomed. The muscular man sighed a little but shrugged his shoulders before walking and following on a bit slower than previous. His eye continued to look around the area rather carefully. Hm....... "Did you find anything?" he called after a moment.

The room to the left had been completely empty other than a bit of sand a few broken desks. It really hadn‘t been anything interesting. “Not yet.” He replied, rushing to the door on the right. Yet as he tried to turn the handle he found it wouldn’t move. So, after trying to jiggle it a bit, he finally tried to push on it but nothing happened. “This one’s locked.” Sen claimed, letting go of the handle as he took two steps back to study it. Nosepass--M | Numel--F | Numel--M | Melanistic Arbok--M

Suddenly, the locked door shook as a Nosepass tackled it from the other side. How did it get in there? What was it doing? One thing was for sure, it wasn't happy.

From a room farther off, a pair of Numel walked side by side, looking at the humans and wondering what the commotion was all about.

Meanwhile, something large slithered by Sen's feet. It was a melanistic Arbok, and he really wasn't paying any attention to the men. So long as they left him alone, that is.

Raphael had started back over towards Sen only to catch sight of the giantass black snake that was moving past him. The last thing he needed at the moment was to have someone eaten by a giant snake of death (which subsequently reminded him of a certain instance concerning a sea-serpent----- ya not right now). In half a second, he looked towards Shen that was on his shoulder. "Ice Beam," was the order, and with that, the Panpour jumped from Raph's shoulder and launched off the ice attack.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Sen jumped when the door was knocked down by a Nosepass knocked down the door. He managed to set aside just in time to watch a black snake slither past his feet. He had no idea where the two pokemon had come from nor why they where there and last why Rapheal was attacking the snake. Yet through all this confusion Sen decided to just slip into the room that was now open to check it out. [/scrolly] [bg=4f2a66]

[KARP KARP!]

The Black Arbok had been paying the humans no mind, and naturally he expected the same treatment. Unfortunately he found himself hit by an ice beam. Suddenly, an evil glare formed in its eyes as the black snake launched a Gunk Shot at the Panpour.

...Well, there was why the Nosepass was so eager to get out of that room... When Sen opened the door, several Ekans were looking at him, hissing. What was it with all these snakes?

The other Pokemon in the area had retreated when the battle started.

Raphael swore under his breath as Shen was hit by the Gunk Shot. That was just nasty. In another second, though, Raph's head moved watching Sen move into the other room. Turning back, he returned to the battle for now. "Ice Beam again!" he called, and with that, the small Panpour retaliated. "You're not bitten are you?" Raphael called towards Sen.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Sen froze upon seeing the snakes. He defiantly did not want to make them any more irritated then they already looked. He also defiantly did not want to end his life so soon in the middle of no where. He always imagined himself dying in some miraculous way of some kind, be he dying good or bad. He at least wanted his death to be remembered by more than one large man. So, very slowly Sen began to back his way out of the room and into the hall which happened to be when Raphael spoke up. “Not… yet.” Sen replied in a slightly hushed, slowed voice, “I think it’s a nest of them.” With that he slowly turned and headed further down the hallway to explore more. Every now and then he turned to check and make sure none of the snakes were following him. [/scrolly] [bg=4f2a66]

[KARP KARP!]

The Ice beam hit the Arbok again, and he hissed in both pain and frustration. <What's your PROBLEM?!? I'm not hurting anyone! I LIVE HERE!!!! You're a jerk...> the black snake ranted before Coiling up to protect itself.

Off in the direction Sen was going, two male Baltoy could be seen, fighting fiercely. Off to the side, a Claydol was watching, though she looked mildly unimpressed with the two males who were apparently fighting for her.

The Panpour seemed to stop a moment at the Arbok's comment before looking back at Raphael questiongly. The large muscular man raised his eyebrow. "What?" he asked not understanding what the two pokemon had said in the least. At Sen's comment, Raphael mentally face/palmed. Great, a horde of giant serpents... which only reminded him of that large amount of serpents he had seen out to sea.
