Ser Bane smiled at Abigale's comment. "Indeed it is. It is always nice to see one's human happy. And, if all goes well, Rosie should be able to make your friend Gir into quite the appealing spectacle."
Rosalyn nodded at seeing Gir perform Double Team. A lot of pokemon were capable of the move, so she'd been fairly confident that he knew it. Now, to see what he could do with it. "Okay, Gir...hrm.." She glanced at Ilya; she didn't really want to make it look like she was taking over, but she had an idea.
She looked back at Gir, deciding to just go for it. Ilya seemed to be getting happier by the moment, anyway, so Rosie decided she must be doing something right. "Okay, can you maybe give me another Double Team? And then, could you arrange it so all the copies are around you in a circle, all facing away from you?" Omen could control the position of his copies pretty well, so she figured Gir could, too, and Gir had the visual advantage of not needing to walk or flap wings, so the copies hovering into various places would look less awkward and artificial.
"Then could you make them spin around around you like a big rotating ring like this?" She held her hand with her finger pointed downward and moved her wrist in a clockwise circle to demonstrate. "We can see how that looks."
Then they could worry about polishing, flashing lights, and all that other stuff. They should probably think about music, too, even if Double Team tricks weren't exactly dancing. Abby clearly wasn't interested in singing, so Rosie would probably just leave Ilya with advice on finding human-made music for the rountine.

Abby found a cam smile of sorts settling on her face at that. <She seems to have quiet a lot of ideas... it's good to be so dynamic in such a field...> she found herself slowly laying her head on her feet but keeping her eyes open. <Something.....is coming....> Abby breathed in and breathed out again, and if one looked far off, a thick fog seemed to be on the move if rather slowly. Ilya was indeed perfectly fine with Rosie talking to Gir. That did not, of course, make her attention wane from the woman in even for a second. Instead, she was learning... or rather trying to, in effect, and a part of her was trying to anticipate what Rosie was planning to do. Gir seemed to take the words from Rosie and took a few seconds to process it. However, after that initial question on understanding, he did in fact make several more clones on a second round of double team before starting arrange himself as best he could into a circle with the real one still in the center. The Klink was a tad confused as to what the girl meant at first but did his best to mimic the hand motions slowly turning the clones in the motion. Ilya's eyes grew large as she watched the motion. o3o That... was so cool! Definitely!

Ser Bane smiled. He was terribly proud of his Rosie, that was sure. They had grown together and guided eachother into their current selves, just like a Sol and their Absol should be. Even if Rosie was strange, she was good at what she did, and he wouldn't have her any other way.
Then, he felt a prickle in his shoulders, his hackles rising slightly against his will; he may not have noticed the vibe if Abby had not noticed and commented first, as his extra senses were rarely clear. He looked at Rosie, eyes glowing faintly. "I feel it too."
Rosie looked at Ilya to catch her expression and felt a bit better. She turned to face her, putting her full attention on the young trainer. "Now," she said, determined not to turn this just into Rosalyn making a routine herself. She was better at doing than teaching, she knew, and this was hard. "What do you think we can add to that? Any attacks we could combine the Double Team copies with, or different shapes and movements you want to try?"
Rosalyn, of course, already had her own ideas. If Gir did that spinning motion while using Charge, it would make the false Klink look like they were part of big generator and meant that any electric attack afterward would be even flashier. But she wanted to hear what Ilya thought.
That was when Rosie suddenly felt an odd little prickle at the base of her neck, and quickly looked over to meet Bane's glowing eyes. For a moment, they both understood eachother perfectly, and the woman looked over to stare at the horizon. Was that...fog?
Fog in a snowy northern town.
Fog in a snowy northern town that Rosie was not familiar with, while in the company of a child.
"Um...Ilya...?" Rosie's voice was a little squeakier than she'd intended. She just kept looking at the slowly approaching fog. "Is that normal?"

<Probably just the sea setting some fog on us...but I'm not sure....> Abby sighed a little as she stare off at the fog. The northern waterways were notorious for such conditions when the weather finally decided to be merciful and slightly warm up. It made for an odd... paradox of sorts... One wanted the weather to warm up, yet then again, it was hard to deal with such a thing as fog especially to those at sea. Ilya's eyes seemed to grow a moment when Rosie asked which attacks she thought would work. The white haired child crossed her arms and then seemed to set a finger to her chin in thought. Hmmm the double team.... Suddenly a thought came to her, yet before Ilya could voice it, she realized that Rosie had asked something. Looking side ways then towards the fog, Ilya was quiet for a moment. "Oh... kinda... the sea's warming...I think," she finally answered back looking at Rosie as though hoping to find some sort of conformation on such things. After a few seconds, she suddenly shifted back to her thought again and looked towards Gir's clones. "Uhm... Gir.. try a Lock On but do it up and then use Gear Grind..." Ilya finally stated. The central metallic pokemon turned upwards and then released a red light of sorts locking on to something 'up' before spinning quickly causing all the other upright clones to spin faster before two gears were throw upwards and made for a rather interesting gear loop spinning effect. However, when the two gears finally hit each other at the target that had been locked on to, it appeared that a light pole had accidentally become the center of such lock on technique and was crunched by the gears. "EP!" Ilya jumped hearing the sound of metal on metal.

Bane still looked agitated, and he stared out at the fog. "Likely," he replied, the 'but I still don't like it' part remaining unspoken. His sight could cut through darkness, but not fog, and he found himself on edge.
Rosalyn, however, relaxed a little at Ilya's explination. "That makes sense. I, ah, haven't been out here this time of year before." If Ilya wasn't concerned, Rosie decided that maybe she shouldn't either. The idea that perhaps she shouldn't be taking cues from someone likely about half her age about what to be worried about didn't even cross her mind, especially since Ilya and Gir were about to try something.
Rosie was fairly impressed at the choice. She hadn't thought of Gear Grind, and the Lock-On preparation seemed like a stroke of genius...
...And then the sound of metal-on-metal rung out and Rosie jerked back, cringing, and lost her balance. She landed on her backside with a faint crunch in the snow, and looked up to see the light pole. Omen leaped back with a yelp, and Bane's clawed paws dug into the snow as he shrank down, jaw locked in a grimace at the sound.
Rosie looked around left and right as the ringing in her ears died down, half-expecting to be descended on by some form of law-enforcement; she wasn't sure how the local nobles felt about property damage, but it couldn't be favourable, and she knew she was going to be marked responsible because she was the adult in this picture.
"Maybe we should, uh, go somewhere a little more open?" Rosie suggested as she got up, brushing herself off. She looked at Ilya, hoping for a suggestion, since Rosalyn, herself, was not as familiar with the area. "That was...good, though. A good idea, I mean. But maybe you should have a target for the Lock On? Something that won't get hurt, or maybe something that can break apart as part of the show without hurting anyone? If Gir were her own pokemon, Rosie would have Bane jump over him while using Protect, but she didn't suggest it, because she didn't know what other pokemon Ilya had and Abby didn't look like she wanted to be part of this.
Right now, though, Rosie's main priority was to not get arrested for being indirectly responsible for mangling a light pole. Perhaps not the finest lesson to be teaching a child, but Rosie would rather be alive and free than a good role model.

Abby mentally cringed and found her entire form insanely on edge for a few stark moments as the sound came and went. After that, she breathed in sharply and then breathed out again. <Lord Arceus> she growled to herself not using the name in vain but more or less praying for him to give her the strength she needed to deal with the tasks that she knew had just been set before her. After a few seconds, she calmed a little and watched as Gir more or less swerved a bit in mid air still with his clones in tow and wondering what in the world he'd just caused. Though he was a few candles short of a birthday cake, the Klink could tell when something was wrong. Ilya's eyes were now staring straight at the beaten up light pole, and for a few seconds, she didn't even realize that Rosie had been talking. However, when the woman's voice did hit her ears, Ilya looked over and seemed to try and remember exactly what had been asked of her. When she did in fact remember that Rosie had asked about a different place, Ilya snapped out of her more or less dumbstruck confusion and slowly nodded. "Ya..I think." she answered back more or less meaning yes to both of the things Rosie had said. After a moment, the girl looked at the woman and appeared... stunned.. if not something more. After a moment, Ilya fished out a pokeball and returned Gir for the time being and then looked towards Abby. Upon seeing that Ilya appeared to be on the move so to speak, Abby rose carefully from the position that she had been in and then rolled her form before looking towards the sea a moment and then up towards the snowy land mass farther away from the port itself. After a moment, she looked back at Ilya and nodded her head a little to which Ilya nodded back a bit. After a good few more quiet moments, Ilya looked towards Rosie and forced a smile despite the fact that she was mentally kicking herself extremely hard for not thinking about what to Lock On to. >< Why couldn't she think of that D: IT WAS PART OF THE MOVE FOR GOODNESS SAKES! Ya... Ilya was hurting.....though her pride had kicked her into silence so to speak. After a second, she reached out to take Rosie's hand and then motioned towards the snowy hills away from the port. "How about over there?" she asked rather quietly now.

Rosalyn didn't say anything during the silence, though she was beginning her nervous twitching, brushing at snow that wasn't there and interlacing and separating her hands. She gnawed at her bottom lip a bit, and was about to start chewing at the fingertip of her glove when Ilya reached out to take her other hand.
Rosalyn blinked at Ilya. She didn't show emotion overly well, and never had, but those big, sunken grey eyes of hers widened just a little. Having someone hold her hand felt...weird. Sudden physical contact had never been an overly welcome thing for Rosie, and being in a large family had not helped in the least; the last time anyone had taken her hand...Well, Rosie couldn't remember the exact last time, but her extended family involved enough young cousins and every once and a while one of them wanted Rosie to see something and would grab her hand...
Rosalyn really barely heard Ilya, suddenly being so quiet. Rosie nodded, trying to shove away the sudden pang of homsesickness she felt. "Sounds good." She let Ilya lead the way.
Ser Bane slowly got to his feet, still seeming a bit jittery from the loud sound, and started to follow. Omen trotted after, his four duplicates still dutifully following even though the need for the illusion had long passed.
If Rosie knew what was bothering Ilya, she would have pointed out that she hadn't realized the flaw in the set-up either. She would have also pointed out that she had had a number of rather ridiculous failures as well. She may have even told the story of Bane and the hula hoop, albeit not very well. As it was, she did what she always did, which was say pretty much nothing.
"Erm...Did you want to practice that Gear Grind move? My, uh, my Ariados can make some little targets for him to focus on with her silk..." The fact that Ilya had recalled Gir, however, made that not seem like the case, and Rosie was stammering again before she could really give the girl a chance to reply. "O-or we could do something else, if you want..."
I look like an idiot, she decided in that moment. When Ilya was bouncing around and happy about everything, things were easy, but a quiet little girl just made Rosie feel awkward, like there was something she should say or do but couldn't because she just didn't get other people. This was why Rosalyn was never going to have children.

Though she was still let down inside, Ilya was now fighting it not because she wanted to but more becuase of a fear that had jumped into her. Through the years of torments from her older siblings, Ilya had gotten quite a lot of criticism over acting childish and not keeping her light air, and it was this fear of being looked down on that was now oddly combating the downer effect she was having. After a few seconds, she found herself forcing a smile and looking back up at Rosie. "I just returned Gir 'cause he won't follow me if I walk..." she said after a moment . "When we get over there!" she raised a finger and pointed it towards the slopes away from the city. "I'll let Gir out, and we'll practice again! Ok?" Somehow or another, Ilya's resilience had payed off, and she was once again feeling confident and rather positive. It'd be ok! It'd ... have to be ok >3< She wasn't even around her annoying siblings, and Rosie wasn't mean right? Right? OF COURSE. Abby blinked slowly seeing the humans talk and then slowly smiled to herself as she walked. <My Ilya....> she 'tsk'd to herself a bit but was truly glad that the young girl had such a fire of sorts. If one wanted to jump off the metaphorical deep end, one could even parallel that Ilya combated the cold this way. However, Abby herself was far too proud of her own rhetorical skills so to speak to ever acknowledge the fact that she had thought such an odd parallel... it... wasn't proper, yes. That was right. Certainly not proper at all.

Rosie's lack of ability to read people meant that if Ilya's smile was particularly fake-looking, the woman couldn't tell. She actually tried to smile back a little, but the attempt was lost in her silk scarf. It was for the best, really, since Rosalyn didn't smile often for a reason; when one of her own cousins described it as making her 'a whole new level of creepy' (her quiet demeanor and staring eyes apparently already being a level of such on their own) it was good to hide such teeth-flashing behind fabric were Ilya couldn't see it. "Okay. Just making sure we're thinking the same thing." Ilya's lightening mood quickly put Rosie's confidence in order again. Bane chuckled lightly at the pair and shook his head. "Rosie..." How someone could be simultaneously so empathetic and so clueless was one of the mysteries of his world, but he loved his human 'sister' dearly, awkwardness and all. "They make quite the duo, don't they?" he commented to Abigale, smiling; surely he wasn't the only one who noticed how completely opposite they were, though maybe he was only one amused by it. Rosalyn kept fairly quiet until the reached the hillside. After a quick glance around to reassure her paranoia that, no, there were no innocent bystanders or public property that could end up bashed to peices out here, she relaxed, somewhat reluctantly letting go of Ilya's hand. Bane went about finding a comfortable place to lie down and observe while Omen began gleefully bounding through the snow, his copies right along behind him. Another pokemon appeared in a flash of red as Rosie let out Belle, and the spider was very clearly unhappy to find herself out in the cold a second time rather than in a warm hotel room. She bit back whatever colourful accusation was waiting on her mandibles, however, when she saw Ilya. Even the grouchy spider didn't particularly want to expose a child to her foul mouth. Instead, she looked up at Rosalyn and hissed out, "What do you want?"Rosie rubbed the back of her neck. She wasn't afraid of Belle, not really, but she still didn't like seeing her upset. "I, uh, was kinda hoping you could help my friend out. Can you make little patches of woven silk to toss in the air? We need moving targets..." Belle mumbled something that was vaguely affirmative, though the idea of using her silk as targets clearly didn't appeal to her in the slightest. "Great! Thanks."

Abby found herself chuckling at Bane's comment. It was true... The woman appeared far calmer and quieter than Ilya, yet the younger of the two girls had taken to the older one rather easily enough, it seemed. After a moment, the female Absol slowly looked around this new area of sorts before finally finding a softer place to sit down not too far off from Bane now. Ilya's eyes could only be compared with O.O as she caught sight of the giant arachnid poklemon. In truth, she had never seen an Ariados, and this bit of confusion mixed with the general air coming off the Ariados made for a weird combination in Ilya's mind. When Rosie and said spider pokemon had finished talking, Ilya suddenly understood it for what it was. Grinning huge, the girl quickly took out Gir's pokeball again and released the Klink once more. Gir took form yet again and spun a bit to himself rather playfully. Ilya was once again bouncing on her heels already excited yet again for what she understood to be happening. "Ok Gir! We're gonna try again!" she chimed clapping her hands rather excitedly. The Klink blinked a moment but then seemed to grin before suddenly issuing out a Double Team seeming to have remembered at least part of the routine.

Rosalyn turned her attention to Gir when he appeared, settling into her role again, as Belle went to work spitting and rapidly weaving her silk with her first pair of legs. "Okay, Gir, let's set up like before. Another Double Team, then all the copies around you in the circle, facing out." Her repeating the instructions was more a product of her own habits than any expectations of his memory.
"Here," Belle said flatly, flicking a patch of silk in the general direction of the humans before setting to work on another one. Rosie walked over to pick it where it landed on the snow and looked at it. Now, how to get it high enough to be a good target; Rosalyn didn't have a good throwing arm at all, and she didn't know if Ilya did.
Then, struck by another idea, she looked back at the Absol. "Bane, can you send this flying over Gir's head for me?" He smiled and nodded, getting up and trotting over. "Great."
Rosie tossed the silk target up in the air, and Ser Bane hopped up into the air, his tail glowing as used it send the target higher in the air with an Iron Tail. Then he landed and sprung back up after it with a Bounce and smashed his tail into it again, this time sending it flying over Gir. He landed elegantly, fur a bit out of place but looking content with himself. Rosie looked at Ilya; the rest was all her.

Rosalyn found herself lightly stroking Bane's head as Gir destroyed the target, one of her odd half-smiles hidden in her scarf. The glitter of pride in her cold eyes was unmistakable. "That...that was really good," she said with a warmth, and even a note of excitement, to her tone. Ser Bane's tail wagged slightly, and he couldn't hide the grin on his face.
"Here," Belle said flatly as she tossed another patch Rosie's way; she hadn't even looked up to see the performance.
Rosalyn fetched the piece, pausing for a second after she picked up it up. Ideas to escalate the routine into something bigger were already forming. Two things could make something simple like that more impressive, other than music and sparkles, and that was speed and multiplying the action. Luckily, one tended to serve the other. "Do you think, if Gir used Shift Gear to make himself faster, he could hit a few of these one after the other?" she suggested.
Bane looked at Rosie for a second, then sighed and shook his head. She, of course, hadn't mentioned that that meant he was going to have to move faster in order to get them up there. Not that he minded; this was fun, and that was what Quick Attack was for.

Ilya's eyes flickered just a little as her mind seemed to be trying to wrap itself around Shift Gear, yet once she got it, a grin suddenly hit her features. Oh ya! That wouldn't just raise attack it would raise speed! "Oh I see!" she said breaking into a rather large smile before looking towards Gir. "Gir use Shift Gear!" she called quickly. Gir seemed to freeze in place from his previous general motions before suddenly turning in the opposite direction as he 'switched gears'. "Whooo!" the Klink called causing Ilya to find herself grinning and suddenly giggling a bit. It was funny but...but cool to see her pokemon could do stuff! Well she knew they could do stuff but...oh whatever ~
Gir, meanwhile, was finding himself testing out his new speed by spinning his form about. Ah yes he did like the stat bonus of speed! It made him think faster too! Or at least he thought so anyways~ It certainly made him feel like he could jog a mile... if he had legs... ok maybe float a mile or something, heh. Oh! No! Drive a mile! Yahhhhhh~ To Taco Bell ^ox ~
