Cut and Dry (Fish/Mod)

The skies were dark and threatening rain, yet that didn't seem to hold down Teme's will. Instead of bowing in defeat at Mother Nature, Teme instead resolved to simply challenge the 'other woman' and was now riding her Aerodactyl rather quickly towards Convict Island. Aeririn who was far from happy about being ridden like some sort of horse, shook her head a little in defiance but made no immediate move to harm her trainer who was riding her. As the island finally came into sight, Teme smirked a little and then had Aeirin circle the entire island. Looking down rather carefully as the large flying rock pokemon twisted through the skies, Teme smirked a little before having the Aerodactyl land rather smoothly onto the dock right in front of the main prison area. he was there for a few reasons but mostly, at the end of it all, Teme was there because she enjoyed the place. Ever since the the convicts had escaped from the island due to the stupidity of a certain royalty that had failed epically, Teme had found that it was a quiet area to simply kick back and relax even when the weather was being as it was: stupid. Returning her flying beast, the woman slowly turned and started to walk up towards the inner part of the island.

[KARP KARP!]

Jade was in need of some relaxation, and what better way to relax than to explore somewhere you've never been before? Okay, there was one better way in Jade's book, but unfortunately no one was free today. So, exploring seemed like a good idea. Especially after trying and failing to bring in Sen turned out feeling more like a bad date than a bad hunt.

However, having Sunny Surf her to Convict Island...that probably was not one of her best ideas. As a result, the woman was soaking wet, and poor Zander didn't even want to snuggle her when she was that wet. Jade knew it was the water, but still.

Jade's yellow tank top was stuck to her skin, as were her short red shorts. Luckily she thought to wear flip flops, anyway. Adjusting her glasses, she headed deeper into the island, muttering something about how she was an idiot sometimes.

Teme continued to walk around rather slowly until her ears caught the sound of someone else walking around. Wait.... why was someone else here? Well it could be a pokemon right? But.... hm... Turning her head towards the sound, the blond haired sharp shooter breathed inwards and then started towards Jade. As her eyes caught sight of the other blond haired woman, Teme stopped and blinked. It looked like the woman had all but drowned or something with as wet as she was. Raising her eyebrow, Teme continued to stare for a few seconds before shaking her head and growing serious again. Who was this woman and what was she doing there? "Hey you," was the call that finally came from Teme. Well, that wasn't the most intriguing first sentence, but oh well.

[KARP KARP!]

The woman jumped, hearing another voice. Her eyes scanned up and down the other woman's figure; too bad she wasn't in a very flirty mood. But hey, that could change in the blink of an eye, depending.

"Uhm...Hello?" she answered, looking at her. She sort of shook her head, attempting to dry it off at least a little. Of course now it was just stuck to the side of her face.

Teme blinked a moment at the response that she was given and then seemed to more or less look up for a few seconds at the continuously falling rain. It would probably do good to get inside before she was completely soaked like that woman... but first. "What are you doing here?" she finally asked with a rather determined air of sorts. The idea that Jade was there to enjoy herself much like Teme herself was was not a thought in the blonde haired woman's mind at that moment in time.

[KARP KARP!]

"I could ask you the same question, Hun." Jade said rather dryly. Normally, Jade would have come back with some flirty comment. But she wasn't in the mood, and the woman's attitude wasn't helping matters much.

Straightening her glasses again, she gave a shrug. Then, she continued walking to the building in the hopes of getting out of the rain before she discovered the answer to the question could she get any wetter.

[Jay]

The blonde haired woman raised her eyebrow at Jade's comment, and after a second or two, Teme smirked. Well that was interesting. After a few seconds, she simply started after Jade. Pushing open the broken door, Teme walked inwards feeling the same temperature outside but certainly more dry. "Just looking around," she answered back looking sideways at Jade.

[KARP KARP!]

Jade gave a small grin; that was more like it. "Same here, really. Just trying to relax."

Then, she decided to take care of a piece of information. "Oh, and before you ask why I was wet before it started raining, I had the bright idea to ride a Politoed over here. I don't recommend it." Jade sort of brushed the hair out of her face at this.

[Jay]

Teme blinked a moment at the words from the other woman before shrugging her shoulders. "No flying pokemon?" she asked as she slowly started to walk around the area they had just entered. At some point, Teme realized that she hadn't even given this woman her name but simply didn't worry about that for the present.

[KARP KARP!]

Jade shook her head. "Don't have any. Yet." Jade let out a sigh as she thought of Mr. Fishy. Hopefully soon, he would evolve into Gyarados so she could ride him. And use him for battle more often.

"I'm Jade, by the way," she said, her usual demeanor slightly showing its head.

[Jay]

No flying types? Eh... Then again, the only reason Teme had Aeirin was because she had happened to go to Primordial Park and captured the crazy beast. At the woman stating her name, Teme seemed to nod a little. "Teme," she answered back. Though it had originally been a nickname shortened version of her original name, Teme had long since chose to use it and felt more comfortable with it at the end of it all. Looking around at the front area, the blond haired woman shrugged not seeing anything really of interest. Looking towards a hallway not far off, the blond haired woman started over towards it. "You might want one sooner or later or get a bigger water pokemon," she stated back towards Jade.

[KARP KARP!]

Jade nodded, chuckling. "Yeah, I know. Hopefully Mr. Fishy will evolve soon enough."

Almost as if on cue, the shiny Magikarp popped out of his ball, flopping around and giving Teme a challenging glance. "Karp Karp!"

"....Dammit, Mr. Fishy. I love ya, but please don't pop out til called, Hun."

[Jay]

Teme stared at the shiny Magikarp and just sweat dropped for a few seconds before looking up to Jade and then down at the fish again. After a few seconds, a half smirk came to her face. "Is that a challenge, small fry?" she asked looking at the fish. Though she really wasn't in the mood to battle, Teme figured she could kick around a Magikarp easy enough.

[KARP KARP!]

Jade managed to return the Magikarp. "Please don't egg him on, Hun. He's really aggressive for a Magikarp. I guess he thinks he's a Gyarados already." Jade gave a shrug.

[Jay]

Teme blinked a moment suddenly rather... embarrassed... >>; "Ok fine.." she muttered shaking her head a little before looking back at Jade. "Hey if he's aggressive now though, maybe he'll have a reverse thing go down when he evolves...?" she asked not even registering that she kept on being called 'hun'.

[KARP KARP!]

"He's touchy, Hun. Mr. Fishy has attacked on much less." she smiled softly.

"That...or he'll be...worse..." The woman gulped a little at this. "I hope it's reversed, though." Teme didn't know it, but Jade had a habit of calling everyone Hun. Jade didn't even think about it; it was a habit.

[Jay]

The tall blond haired woman sweat dropped a little at that before beginning to look around the area slowly again before starting to walk forwards again. Upon seeing a turn in the hallway, she turned and started down it beginning to see the prison cells. "Ya know... I wonder how many convicts actually escaped when everything broke down..." Teme stated aloud as she looked around. She knew when the jail break had occurred but had no idea how many had managed to get off the island.

[KARP KARP!]

Jade blinked at the statement. "I have no idea." Looking around, she let out a low whistle. "If it was a lot, I could run into a good bit of work..." she thought aloud. Realizing what she'd just blabbed, she sort of hoped Teme didn't hear. Didn't want her second job to be discovered, after all.

[Jay]

Good bit of.... Teme stopped and looked sideways suddenly smirking. "Some work?" she asked wondering if maybe she'd actually run into another bounty hunter. Well, this could be good or bad for business..... If this woman happened to be competition... but then again, there were plenty of bounties up now thanks to a certain noble or something, heh. "Like what kind of work?" Teme asked.

[KARP KARP!]

....Crap...

Jade gave a wary grin. "I'm a bounty hunter, of sorts. But I'm a bartender on the side." So, Jade had decided on telling the truth. But hey, she could handle herself if need be.
