He could work here and train at the same time... That would let him pay them back and get strong enough to fight any creep or Alvaro that came his way! He slowly started to smile at this thought. "Sure, I'd love to." Zen says with a light smile. This could really help him out.

Sou nodded his head as Zen agreed. "How about we look for a job for you here tomorrow then," he answered back encouragingly. Mmmm maybe Haji needed an assistant, heh no that would be too cruel to the young boy. No, there was probably a store with enough busin-- ah he knew the exact one to ask: Akura's clothing store was rather popular, and he was sure that the man wouldn't mind taking up a worker.

"Thank you." Zen says with a slight nod. He would finally be able to pay off his debts. He wondered what kind of place he would work in though. Ya know.. since he was in a ninja town in the trees...

Sou simply nodded his head a little before falling silent. "You should probably head back to bed, you know," he encouraged after a moment. It was rather late still, and there would be much to do in the next few days. However, Soujirou himself probably wouldn't sleep that night. There were too many early morning meetings to attend, and there was little chance he would actually get to sleep anyways.

He probably should try to get back to sleep. He needed as much as he could get. "I think I probably will try to go back to sleep in a few minutes. Thank you so much.. for everything you have done." Zen says rather slowly. Karma must have felt sorry for the bad that he happened to him and was repaying him with kindness.

Sou simply nodded back at Zen's words and then began to relax himself a bit more than before. Closing his eyes, the ninja didn't fall asleep but simply remained in that format and falling into silence. Whenever Zen went to bed, a quiet hum could be heard. It was rather lulling and gentle, and one could assume that it came from Sou, but it might not have. As the morning finally came, Sou had gotten up and went to work leaving the house relatively quiet for the moment. However, Mei had slowly come out of her more or less comatose state of rest and slowly started to stretch before looking around. She knew daddy had gone out that morning but that didn't mean she couldn't get up and see what her new friend, Zen was doing~! Getting up fully, she began to walk around. "Zen?!" she called.

I mean a very long time. He was still in bed when Mei had gotten up, but was awoken by the sound of her voice. "Yes?" he asks from his bed. He slowly got out of bed and was seen to still be in the clothes from last night. Well.. he hadn't been up so what did you expect? He looked out to see the girl and smiled.

Upon actually finding her friend of sorts, Mei broke into a huge smile. "Hey! Er... morning!" she beamed a little before giggling slightly... mostly at Zen's bedhead at the moment, really. It was funny, very funny. "Ready for food?" she asked meaning breakfast though the word had slipped the child's mind thus making her choose the next best thing. She was certainly ready for food, heh. Mmm pancakes maybe o3o. Did Zen know how to cook? Mei wondered this.

When he heard her ask about food, he pondered for a moment. He didn't smell any food.. and the child wouldn't be able to cook, would she? "Uh.. who's cooking? ....Me?" Zen asks rather slowly. He was a bit nervous about having to cook for himself in a child. He wouldn't make very good food, and he already knew that. He was no chef.

Mei gave a quiet laugh of sorts and shook her head as though the question that was asked should have already been known. "Me and you will make cereal!" she stated easily before making an indication out of the room and then quickly heading out. Sure enough, already out on the table was a box of cereal and bowls waiting. The milk was in the small ice box off to one side. It seemed that Sou had set most of the things out sometime previously though it was debatable exactly when.

Okay.. he could make cereal. That wasn't hard to do. Oh I can make cereal for us. ^_^" Zen says with a smile. He walked into the room to see everything already set out, aside from the milk. Hmm.. he wondered where the milk could be. Naturally, you would think the fridge. Upon seeing the ice box, he figured that must have been it. He opened it up and sure enough, found the milk inside. He took it out and grinned. He set it on the table and began to pour some cereal into his bowl. "How much cereal do you want?" he asks Mei.

Mei let out a quiet giggle of sorts at Zen's words and beamed for a few seconds when he understood. Moving over to the low table, she sat down on the pillow in front of one of the bowls. At the question, Mei put her finger to her chin, and for a brief moment, she seemed unsure of herself. However, after this, she quickly beamed knowing what she wanted to do. "This much!" she smiled making a motion of leveling in the bowl before nodding her head.

"Okay." he says with a bit of a smile. He started to put the cereal in her bowl before grabbing the milk. He started to pour the milk in her cereal, but barely got a few drops out before it was completely gone. "I.. don't think we had enough milk. You guys were out.." Zen says somewhat slowly. Karma wasn't seeming very nice right now. He just wanted food D: "Do you know where a store is where we could try to get some more?" he asks slowly.

A very confused look came to Mei's visage, and her small head turned to one side. "Out?" she frowned as her small eyebrows scrunched together. "Hm..." she pouted a little crossing her arms and falling silent for a few seconds as she thought over Zen's words. When a thought came to her, she perked up considerably and beamed at Zen. "Oh I know!" she giggled before slipping down from her seat and making a directional point towards the door. "That way," she grinned before starting to walk that way.

Karma couldn't be so mad at him that something bad would happen, so he wasn't worried. He followed the little girl outside and would continue following her where ever she went, though if they crossed any bridges.. that might be a problem. He was deathly afraid of rickety bridges all the way up here.

Thankfully for Zen, the house that they had exited out of was relatively close to the store, and thankfully still, Mei knew the way. Walking easily down one of the bridges, Mei looked back at Zen trying to make sure that he was still there before continuing on again. As she finally came to the store, the young girl turned around and clasped her hands together. That was easy! "Here," she asserted rather quickly before making a gesture to the building of sorts.

Zen was slowly trying to walk down a bridge but practically tipped it over when I saw how high he was. He didn't want to splat on the ground! Once he hit halfway, his heart stopped. Karma be with him... He slowly started to walk again and made it to the other side. He collapsed against the wall of a house and leaned on it, catching his breath. "That will take getting used to.." Zen then walked up behind her and smiled nervously, feeling pathetic compared to the fearless girl. "So this is it?" he asks slowly.

Mei watched as Zen deflated and frowned. Maybe it was simply because she had grown up there or maybe it was because her age made her all but fearless, she couldn't quite fathom why he was so worn out looking. She would probably have asked what was wrong had he not changed the subject. Blinking, she looked back towards the store and nodded her head. "Yep yep, this is it," she replied before reaching for and taking Zen's hand before leading him inside.

Leaning over the check out, a sleepy looking young man with surprisingly light hair appeared less than enthralled to be there. However, upon hearing someone enter, he looked and flashed a rather quick smile. "Hello there," he smiled before straightening up a bit more. "Can I help you with something?"

Mei was quick to nod. "We're looking for milk," she said setting her hands on her hips and staring up at the man who blinked briefly before laughing a little.

"Well there is some back there in the refrigerated section," he explained before pointing. Mei just nodded and started off all but dragging Zen as she moved bow.

Zen followed behind as he was dragged. He laughed and tried to make it look like the little girl wasn't forcing him to follow. He really didn't know how to act around children. He looked over at Mei and gave a calm friendly smile. At least he knew she couldn't be some evil person pretending to be good. He opened up the fridge and took out the milk. "They do accept the same money here.. right?" Zen asks as he fumbles in his wallet for money. He was walking towards the counter as he said this.

Mei looked up childishly at Zen and turned her head to one side. Money? Oh! Pen! Right? "Pen!" she exclaimed nodding her head and putting on a confident face as though to verify that she knew what she was talking about. "Mhmhmhmhmhmhm," she said lightly before laughing a bit and then making a motion towards the check out before starting over.

The sleepy register worker stretched and was now more or less trying to force himself to wake up. What know of course he hadn't partied too much the night before. Who asked you?
