Being kissed on the forehead left Bianca nothing short of dumbstruck. Men...didn't do that kind of thing for her. Then again, she didn't tend to end up wrapped in a man's arms on the brink of a breakdown, either. Getting 'comfort' from men usually meant putting on a miniskirt and strolling into a bar. And then there was what he said, in a voice that both allured her and smacked her thoughts of flirting into submission with a feeling of he's being serious.
Not that that tone made it much easier to believe him. She was sure tearing his heart out was an exaggeration but...he really gave that much of a care for the feelings of some girl he just met? That thought alone terrified her. Bianca didn't want to be responsible for hurting anyone. Alaric clearly had no idea how much what he'd said made her just want to break away and start running.
The stunning quality of the kiss, followed by the tease he added, was probably what stopped her. Her expression melted into an amused smile with practiced ease, and she chuckled softly. "Oh, they do. Just when the rest of the crew can't see them." Her green eyes met his, lacking their usual intense quality in exchange for something...softer. "Usually when someone hurts themselves for their sake." I'll cry if you punish yourself for making me cry. That enough to keep you from saying things like that?

[ Alaric ] Alaric grinned slightly, uttering a hint of a laugh. "Well, I may not be the best person to hang around then..." He leaned in, then, touching his forehead to hers. "But hey.." He brought up a hand to place on her cheek, pulling the corner of her mouth up a little with his thumb. "Just smile and I won't have to do anything stupid to cheer you up~" Honey sniffed what was probably supposed to be a laugh, and Alaric sat back just a few inches- not moving his hand- and shrugged, smirking a bit wider. "Eh, stupider."[/blockquote]

Bianca giggled softly, and then a little more when Honey seemed to laugh. She flashed an amused grin. "If a smile's what you want, sweetheart, I think I can handle that." Despite the 'sweetheart' slipping out, her tone still hadn't shifted to its usual flirty quality. Though she was becoming more and more aware of exactly how much she liked Alaric holding her.
Deciding to indulge one of her desires, lest she go crazy, she reached with one hand to gently run her fingers through his hair. "And I think we have different definitions of 'stupid.' You don't really fit mine." It wasn't high on her list of things to describe him as, anyway. 'Charming,' 'far too honest' and 'too easy to trust for his own good' easily beat it out.
Alaric still scared her a little, to be honest, but this was how he treated all women, right? Bianca wasn't any more special than any other girl, and that helped calm her fears.

[ Alaric ] Alaric shrugged, giving her a look that would have been smug if not for the context. "Well, to be perfectly fair, you really don't know me that well yet." He gave a deep laugh at this, but then settled into something a little softer again. "Though to be honest... I really would like to get better acquainted." For all that line was so often used in another sense, he really did mean it more literally. At least immediately anyway. Unless she put on one hell of an act, with a girl like her, the other sense tended to follow sooner or later, but he did try to hold off on it at least a little at first, and it didn't really matter too much in the end to him. Honey sighed, beginning to feel a little nauseous again. For all that Bianca had managed to make her list of slightly tolerable humans on this earth, it didn't make Alaric's shenanigans any easier to watch for too long. Moving more upright, just dipped down her head and nudged his side. He blinked a bit at this, but after a moment smiled again. "I see. Yeah, sure." Obliging her silent request, he pulled a black gold-striped PokeBall off his belt and recalled the Luxray. "There ya go girl.. She was overdue for a nap anyway," he explained to Bianca. 'Get better acquainted?' There was no doubt exactly where Bianca's mind would have gone if anyone but Alaric had said that. As it was, though, taking anything he said like she normally would didn't seem like it would work. She chuckled a little, though, and admitted to herself that even the literal meaning appealed to her right now, as long as the subject of her little meltdown was avoided. After all, it wasn't like she didn't like talking about herself, at least regarding some things.
After Honey was recalled, Bianca's eyes slid down to Tyson, who looked just a little forlorn. "Speaking of naps..."
The Shinx immediately stood up straight and let out a whining meow. "I'm not sleepy!"
Bianca laughed. She hardly needed language skills to understand that outburst. "Okay, okay, but you should go let Zoro know I'm okay. He's probably wondering." The Shinx nodded, smiling, willing to do anything to avoid naptime. He didn't realize Zoro would know it was naptime, too.
As Tyson bounded back off toward where he came, Bianca shook her head. "I am never having kids," she mumbled, before flashing Alaric a grin. "Something specific about me you wanna know? There's not much to tell, really." Well, not much meant for idle chitchat. Between the things she never talked about and the things that involved sex, there was mostly just her job and her pokemon. And if he hit a forbidden topic? She was pretty confident that all she'd have to say was that she didn't want to talk about it.

[ Alaric ] Alaric couldn't help but chuckle at Tyson's antics, wondering if there was ever a time he didn't have to fight Honey to wake her up. Lazy-ass cat she was, but the best friend ever. Not that some of his other Pokemon or Kado didn't come close. ...Actually, that could be a a rather nice conversation topic, neh? At her mumbling, however, he couldn't help but go blank, looking just slightly pouty. Not that he didn't hear the follow-up, but he simply had to comment, "I love kids.." Never mind that he was just a really tall one as often as not. After a moment, though, he grinned sheepishly and shrugged. "Though honestly anything under about the age of five terrifies me. Non-human-younglings are just so much easier to care for, mm?" He laughed lightly. Really, it was more that they grew up just so much faster. In a year, a kid might be walking or something. Maybe. He wasn't actually sure on that. Pokemon and animals? Yeah some could breed by then, depending on the species; some even long before, though typically those young weren't as appealing. Like bugs and things... Bleh. Not wanting to ignore her, though, he quickly moved on, "Oh but um... Have any pets or other Pokemon?" For all the conversation, he never did let go of her fully, rather just enjoying cuddling here on the forest floor, faint sounds of distant Pokemon surrounding them. [/blockquote]

Bianca chuckled softly. "I didn't say I didn't like kids." She just never wanted to be responsible for them. Bianca's maternal instincts were less-than-stellar, beyond the initial 'oh, a kid, cute' level. The only real exception was her niece, whom she'd probably go on a protective rampage for if anything ever happened to her. Even so, there was a reason, many, actually, that Lily was visited by her Auntie Bee and not vice-versa.
However, the question at hand was one eagerly answered. Bianca allowed herself to snuggle a little bit closer and smile. "Well, to be honest, I sell pokemon for a living, so I've always got some, but for personal ones? The only ones you haven't met are Lucy and Azure, my Zangoose and Ditto. Lucy's kind of a wild child. They both are, really, but I love 'em."
Chuckling softly, she continued, "I've got some cats, too. Jezebel, Pixie, Rusty, Blue, and Spook." She wasn't going to count the stray she sometimes fed. Bianca giggled a little. "They're a circus some days. Jezebel and Pixie are the funniest, since Jezebel hates everyone and Pixie keeps wanting to be her best friend and...well...you'd have to see Blue, really; I can't describe it too well, but she's one of a kind."

[ Alaric ] Alaric was very near spaz levels, and getting closer with her every word. When she claimed he needed to see one of the omg-so-adorable-little-kitties, he looked down at Bianca with a wicked grin. "Was that an invitation?" Even as he said this, the gears in his head began to slowly turn. "I did tell you I fucking love cat--"And finally the gears clicked into place. "--Actually!" He let go of her rather hurriedly, starting to get to his feet and dust off. If she couldn't tell from the sudden impulsiveness how hyper he'd become, the slightly rushed speech should help. "Zoro probably wants to see you're safe, right? And we don't wanna make him worry. We need to pick up your Pokemon--" With no warning, he knelt back down even while speaking and picked the young woman up bridal style, apparently willing to take his chances at her getting upset if he was even thinking about those chances existing. "--and you come see my cat~<3" He'd told her he didn't live far from here, after all. [/blockquote]

'Omg-so-adorable-little-kitty' didn't really describe Blue at all, but Alaric didn't know that, and Bianca didn't know he thought that in order to correct him. Pixie and Rusty were fairly cute, and Spook was fairly little, but they were more of a band of misfits than a quintet of cuteness.
Bianca would have protested him letting go, if he hadn't knelt down and scooped her up a moment later. This was most definitely a new one on her. He's stronger than I thought. Bianca was no lightweight, after all, even if her muscles didn't show terribly much unless she flexed them.
All she could think to do was wrap her arms around Alaric's neck and smile at him. "Love to." This was not the way she'd thought she'd end up at his place, if at all, but how could she pass up the offer to meet a kitty cat? Though, she was pretty sure Zoro's jaw would hit the ground if he saw her being carried around.
Back at the tree, the aforementioned Zoroark had actually gotten Tyson to settle down and try to sleep. He was sitting down and leaning against the trunk, his fur still in greater disarray than he preferred, and singing in a fairly deep voice to the curled up kitten next to him. Of course, the semi-picturesque moment was about to shatter but, hey, Bianca was going to get to meet a kitty cat.

[ Alaric ] Of course Alaric could carry her. Because he was totally strong like that. And in no way was it straining his arms or back in the slightest, because he was just that strong. And actually made something of a habit of finding excuses to carry girls around to prove he was that strong. Which was probably the reason he could, actually. Not that his underweight form should have made them think he wasn't, because he wasn't that thin. And he totally had visible muscles. Kind of, even if they were... Eh okay. So his metabolism was ridiculously high and he couldn't put on ten pounds of muscle or even fat no matter what he did (though he could get closer with the latter). He did have some visible muscle, if really just kind of lean ones because he didn't have enough body fat to cover what tone there was. And he was surprisingly strong for his size, anyway. But yeah she was kind of heavy. Not that his mind would even consider listening to his body's opinion on the matter. If he was physically capable of lifting a girl, she was no trouble at all to carry and he'd have to fall down or come a hair's breadth from dropping her before he'd admit otherwise. If he hurt himself, it was either shortly after or from provoking a pre-existing injury, depending on how soon after she noticed. He just smiled at her, eyes drifting back and forth between hers and the path as he maneuvered between the trees, walking at a pretty brisk pace but not so quick as to cause a rough gait. "I should warn you again, my family is a little crazy... But hey. It's a big house." Noblility's manors usually were. "If we're lucky, we can sneak in and they'll never even know I'm home~" Actually... Not that he'd ever have considered taking Bianca home for this purpose, but if she was going anyway... He wouldn't really mind his sister's noticing them, just to get under their skin... Eh. Well, if it happened it happened. He wouldn't make a point of it. [/blockquote]

Bianca was not a woman who was carried. Simply didn't happen. She wasn't exactly a large woman, but her bone structure was fairly solid, and muscle weighed more than fat. She was more fast than strong, really, but still, Alaric hadn't picked up a twig right here. And, because she didn't make a habit of being carried, she didn't really know what the signs were that she may be causing him any difficulty, so she didn't make any attempt to make him put her down.
She giggled a little at the mention of his family. "Well, if they catch us, I'll try not to make a horrible first impression." Try was the key word, there, given that Bianca's reception from families had about as good a track record as her reception from spouses, but she felt she could be fairly polite and charming if they didn't hate her on sight.
When they reached her pokemon, the reaction was pretty much exactly what she'd expected. Faux Zoro looked up from Tyson at the sound of their return, and his mouth fell open. He flew to his feet and raced over to the pair of them. "Bianca, my lady, are you injured?"
Bianca blinked. Oh, right, that was a reason someone may carry someone else, wasn't it? She chuckled softly, and gave him a gentle smile. "I'm just fine, Zoro." She leaned her head against Alaric's shoulder a little, and Zoro relaxed as he understood.
The Zoroark's ears pinned back, and he bowed low."Ah, my apologizes for my hasty judgment, captain. I worry terribly, and the young Tyson is a fine lad, who will grow to be a fine man, but his ability to give messages is limited." A faint chuckle escaped him. "He seemed particularly distracted by his desire to defend the lady Honey's honour, on top of such. I fear for the future of all young males who choose their words poorly."
Bianca thought there may be an apology in there. Maybe. She had no doubt Zoro would go on for a while, however, and so she spoke. "We're heading to Alaric's." She flashed a grin. "He has a cat!"
Faux Zoro chuckled again. "Are the lad and I to retire to our pokeballs for the time being, then? Not that I am not intrigued by this new feline acquaintance you intend to meet, of course--" He made direct eye contact with Alaric for his next words, a small smile on his muzzle. "--But I believe my presence will not be required any further." That was Zoro's way of letting Alaric know that he trusted him not to let anything harm Bianca, a fairly high compliment given his protective nature.
Bianca nodded. "I'll call you if I need you." She recalled him, then the sleeping lion cub. Faux Zoro gave another low bow as he was consumed by the red light and vanished.
Bianca grinned up at Alaric. "I can walk the rest of the way, if you want," she offered, though not really making any move to climb out of his arms. "I promise I won't get us caught sneaking in." She could move pretty quietly when she wanted to, after all. And the idea of sneaking into his house to meet his cat was giving her one of those strange moments of childish glee.

[ Alaric ] Alaric had wondered if he should perhaps warn her that being a female entering his family home with him was a bad first impression, but... Eh. No sense scaring the poor girl too much. After all, if they did run into anyone save maybe Ava by herself he was quite certain they'd do a wonderful job of that all on their own. As they reunited with the verbose Zoroark, the young man simply waited patiently for them to finish. Hot damn, he could talk more than Alaric in geek mode! Heaven and earth forbid that there was ever some common interest brought up between the two of them... Or at least infinite pity on whatever poor souls got trapped listening to it. He had to admit, though, he was a little amused when she managed to recall both Pokemon without breaking out of his grip. At her offer, he smirked and put her down. "Well, that's probably good. I suppose you might get a little harder to carry after half an hour or more." Suddenly an idea flashed into his mind, lighting his face like Tyson when he'd been upset. "Or.. neither of us could walk?" Pulling out a ball similar to Honey's, he held it up attemptedly "Have you ever ridden a horse bareback?"[/blockquote]

A horse? Well, Bianca supposed she shouldn't be surprised, given what Alaric had said about wanting to be a knight. After a small moment of wondering what sort of horse he had there, she smirked. "Sweetheart, I've ridden a dragon bareback before. S'long as he doesn't want to knock me off, I'll be fine."
Now, that had been some time ago, and there were some differences, surely, between land and air travel, but the basic principle of 'don't fall off' still applied. Besides, she'd have Alaric to hang onto. With the thought that she'd have one more excuse for physical contact, Bianca's smirk became a grin. No real downside, here, from her point of view.

[ Alaric ] Alaric grinned, trying not to geek too hard at the thought of her on dragonback. "Well, I don't think you have to worry about that." He leashed the contents of the Ball then, and a moment later a monster of a Rapidash had taken form. Not only was he a bit tall, but his muscle made standard built horses look like deer. Even his neck was thick and somewhat arched, and each hoof was easily as big around as either human's head. All in all, he looked rather akin to a Shire or similar horse (such as a particularly well-built Ardenner in Alaric's opinion)... except, you know, with a horn and fire. "Boxer here is the tamest colt you'll ever meet."Of course, the key word in there was colt, and a small part of him hoped she didn't catch on to that. Boxer was extremely mature for his age, but he still wasn't quite fully grown by horse standards at roughly three years now. All the same, he just gave Bianca and then Alaric a gentle look before standing waiting. "So then, my queen of sea and sky..~" Whether 'my queen' was mock loyalty or she had become 'his' now was completely left to interpretation. "Could you mount after me or would you prefer a leg up?" (He'd be lying if he said somewhere in his mind he hadn't isolated the first bit without the after; force of habit.) Even as he asked, he locked his hands together palms-up to form a makeshift stirrup, offering in in her general direction. Of course, Boxer's flames should be lukewarm to the touch right now. Such marvels Fire Pokemon were like that.. [/blockquote]

Bianca had never gone through a 'horsie' phase as a little girl, something only her younger sister Kate had experienced. Plastic horses, plush horses, and posters of horses everywhere, competing for space, and winning, against Bianca's plastic swords, army men, and tiny racecars. At the time, it had taken all of Bianca's child-level willpower not to break her 'be the best big sister ever' vow and put spiders in Kate's bed as revenge for the constant neighing noises from the sound-making toys their parents had bought her.
That being said, Bianca's eyes couldn't help but light up at the sight of the massive Rapidash that formed. It probably stemmed from the fact that he was a horse pokemon, and Bianca near-universally adored pokemon outside of her very specific issues resulting from her trauma. And he was big boy; the breeder in her was positively bouncing up and down and demanding she ask about his bloodlines. Then her mind registered two things: that Alaric had called him 'Boxer' (overly geeky she wasn't, but Bianca was somewhat well-read), and that he'd said 'colt.'
If that's a colt, I'm not sure if I want to know what's a stallion, she thought faintly, looking at Boxer. Still absolutely gorgeous, though.
Bianca smiled at Alaric at his offer (and she'd be lying if she said part of her brain hadn't done the exact same thing Alaric's had with the first part of that sentence); she'd probably be able to handle herself, though she did note that dragons tended to kneel down for their riders and Boxer was tall, but if he was already prepared to help her up, she supposed it would be better to accept. "I...think that may be a good idea."
The moment she was seated on Boxer's back, Bianca found herself lightly stroking the Rapidash's muscular side. "You're a handsome horse, aren't'cha, Boxer?" she cooed gently. She giggled a little and added, "Bet you hear that from all the girls, though."

[ Alaric ] Boxer actually blushed furiously at Bianca's compliment, dipping his head a little as if trying to hide from the woman who was sitting on his back. It wasn't necessarily that he was too shy, but.. Well, he'd only been this big strong Rapidash a few months- during which time Alaric had been very eager about training him, picking up on the basics and practice they'd already instilled in his years as a Ponyta- and given his general clumsiness in his younger stage and slight tendency to let his mind wander when he wasn't directly engaging in some task, Boxer had stayed in his Ball notably more often than most of his trainer's other Pokemon. (Shellos tended to sit on a shelf, but other than her.) As such, he hadn't actually met a lot of girls despite his trainer's nature. Alaric had taken a moment to admire the sight of them before noticing Boxer's embarrassment. Moving closer to and toward the front of him a moment, he took hold of the beast's great head and moved in to nuzzle him. "Hey now," he half-whispered. "You're a future stud, right? You're gonna hafta get used to girls swooning over you, 'ey big boy?" This honestly made Boxer even more embarrassed, but it did amuse him and stroke his pride a little, so things more or less settled out. After a deep chuckle and a gentle pat, Alaric moved back to the Rapidash's side. "Scoot back for just a second, 'kay?" Kicking a girl, accidentally or not, seldom made a good impression after all, and he really was liking this Bianca. Honestly, how often did one come across a flirtatious cat-loving dragon-riding tree-climbing pirate queen with past scars not entirely dissimilar from one's own practically in one's backyard? Really, the more he thought about it, the more he was starting to question the hand of fate here. Not that--... Eh. He quickly pulled himself up and half-swung a leg over before sitting up, grateful she wouldn't be able to see from behind the slight blush that had suddenly formed on his own face. "Hold on~" And with that, he eased Boxer to a walk along the edge of the clearing, looking for signs of a riding trail he knew was close. [/blockquote]

Boxer's reaction made Bianca giggle. Well, she was pretty sure this was the only time she'd made a horse blush scarlet with something she'd said. And without trying at that. Today was clearly a day for firsts. She really only half-heard what Alaric was saying to him, though the breeder in her once again raised its head and latched onto what she thought was the word 'stud.' Not now, she mentally hissed. She'd embarrassed the poor colt enough, after all.
Bianca scooted back as she was asked, and when Boxer started to move, she hung onto Alaric just a little too quickly and tightly than she would have preferred, but she relaxed after a moment and eased her grip. Okay, riding a Salamence and riding a Rapidash were different, but she could totally handle this. Totally. She wasn't unnerved and imagining falling off in the slightest. Not at all. Because not being afraid of falling from surely-going-to-break-something-important height from a dragon but being afraid of falling a couple of feet off of a horse was completely irrational, and Bianca was not irrational.
Letting out a stream of soft chuckles that most certainly did not sound mildly nervous, Bianca flashed a smile she knew Alaric couldn't see and asked, "Soooo...Do I get to know anything about your cat ahead of time, or do I just have to wait and see?" Normally she'd say something about 'making her suffer' but, well, given the reaction that she'd gotten from him after joking about crying...

[ Alaric ] Alaric returned the grin- though she couldn't see him either, nor was he certain it was being returned, but from her tone he imagined she was- and answered, "Wait and see. I'll just tell you he's a very big boy too." He laughed softly as he suddenly realized, "I guess I tend to like oversized pe--" And suddenly he remembered. "Oh shit. Hey Glydre!!" he called up to the treetops. "We're heading home so you better come along!" Sighing, he dropped back to conversational volume and explained, "My Gligar is running around here somewhere. He tends to hover off doing his own thing so I almost forgot he was out..." He gave a slightly sheepish laugh, causing the Pokemon in the treetops to facetree. "But yeah.. He's a tiny thing for his species. I think my only Pokemon who's undersized rather than over. Heh~"Alaric had just spotted the trail they were looking for- they being he and Boxer of course- when Glydre decided he may as well introduce himself. Without a whisper of a sound, the scorpibat hovered down to a few feet above their heads. Putting on his best Cheshire/slasher smile, he turned upside-down for the moment, then dropped down almost instantly to Bianca's side and eye level, somehow slowly broadening his smile even more and still not making a sound nor even blinking. Bianca perked up just a little, almost forgetting to be most-certainly-not-at-all-afraid of being on a moving horse. A big boy? Despite her squealing love for her little Spook, Bianca had to admit that she had a weakness for big cats, which was probably among the reasons she was so in love with cat pokemon.
Bianca glanced about after Alaric called his pokemon. Gligar weren't exactly on her favourites list, but it wasn't like she wouldn't want to see--
Bianca started at the sudden staring, upside-down Gligar right there with a small squeak. She blinked her own eyes as she met the unblinking stare. Well, that wasn't unsettling at all. Part of her was struck by the urge to poke at the pokemon just to see if he'd blink, but she rather liked her fingers where they were. "Well, hello there," she chirped cheerily, flashing her own wide, though not nearly as wide as the Gligar's, smile.
Was Bianca creeped out? Most certainly, though she would have been more creeped out if she didn't own Azure. Her shiny Ditto had gone through a phase of silently oozing into the perfect hiding spot, then suddenly taking on some kind of disturbing form to terrify its victims. Once Bianca had gotten wise to its games, the Ditto had moved onto its trainer's dates instead, which was part of why Bianca didn't take people to her place anymore. That being said, this wasn't Azure, which was why Bianca was a rank of disturbed anywhere above zero.
Of course, after the initial jump and staring, Bianca didn't let herself look anything other than enchanted with the slasher-smiling flying scorpion. She nudged Alaric a little. "He's not tiny," she said, grinning, "He looks like a fighter. Bet he's a terror in a battle." In more ways than one. When Bianca was frightened, she either got quiet and tried to run, or she smiled and started talking. With many compelling reasons not to try running away, she'd opted for the latter.

[ Alaric ] Alaric blinked at Bianca's greeting, and turned to see the Gligar hanging in the air. "There you are," he mumbled, though with a pleasant smile. The trainer wasn't... completely oblivious to just how unnatural that expression was, but to him it always had sort of invoked a bit of an odd smirk and thoughts of The Joker (who he apparently didn't find creepy either). He had to say, though, Bianca's reaction surprised him, and in quite a good way. Yes.. This day was turning out quite nice indeed. "Oh, he's a beast for sure," he agreed. "If I don't watch him he fights a little too hard sometimes even." Having stroked Glydre's ego and caused a small blush to form as the Cheshire grin faded a bit, Alaric laughed softly and worked the Great Ball from his belt before recalling him. With him out of earshot (at least to his knowledge), he went on, "Though he is not much over half his species' average size."Smiling over his shoulder as he went ahead and had Boxer start down the path slowly, he commented, "Have to say I'm impressed with you though. Most people don't react so well to his greetings." He shrugged, a little lopsided at this angle, but enough to get the point across. "Not that I see how. Between bats and bugs I guess most people just aren't big on Gligar in general or something.." Poor little guy. He turned back to watch the path for now, though. [/blockquote]
