Well, sort of. The dark haired man's eyes were practically shimmering as he found himself standing outside of the EEC. The fact that there was actually a place designed for people to come and battle had lifted the battler's spirits so high he was nearly giddy if that was even possible for Haii. For all his traveling and for everyone that had refused him a battle, Haii had only grown irritated at Era. However, this... this made up for it. When he had first come to the capital, it had still been closed, yet now that it had opened and was functioning again, the battles could commence. Finally reaching towards the door, pulling it open, and stepping inside, Haii shoved his hands in his pockets and looked around at the people. Several people were already in a battle, yet there were still others Haii could see. Walking around a bit, he found himself sizing up his opponents. Heh, maybe someone would actually challenge him for achange. [/scrolly]

The many people in battles continued to fight each other without even noticing Haii. That was, until one of the men started to walk towards Haii. He had light blue hair that shimmered, and seemed to be close to Haii's height. Brown eyes stared at him, and the man seemed to smirk. "You're new here..... You look a bit out of place. >=3 Kinda weak. You should probably run home." the man says. He looked around 18, but he seemed a bit thin. A few of the other people that weren't in a battle found themselves face/palming. This guy always acted like he was the strongest... but he was actually pretty terrible. Somebody who looked younger ran up. "Uh... don't listen to him. ^^ He's an idiot. He'll probably be a disappointment to fight.. he was for me." the younger man says. The other looked pretty angry. "I.. I got better!" he says rather quickly.

However, as the boy ran over and explained, he simply stared down at the kid before looking up again. "A challenge is a challenge," was all he smirked back with before pulling out a pokeball. This was more lke it. "I may be new here, but I'm not new to battling." With that, he didn't even wait fro an answer before releasing the contents of the ball, a Sandile named Nao. [/scrolly]

The man seemed to smirk and the boy took a few steps back. He pulled out a pokeball and threw the ball out. Suddenly a Sewaddle appeared on the ground and stared at the Sandile. ._. "Razor Leaf." the man simply says. Leaves started to appear and fire off from the sewaddle, and it looked rather determined to win. The boy sighed.. he was still the same as he was last time they fought...

That sudden burst of fighting energy was in Haii, and he found himself smirking more than usual. Hey, a smirk was a type of smile was it not? After a moment, Nao came up from directly under the Sewaddle rather quickly releasing the Dig attack. [/scrolly]

The Sewaddle was suddenly hit by the dig and went flying in the air. "Grass knot." the man says. The grass started to tie around Nao's feet, or at least tried to. Sewaddle then started to fall back down and tried to use Air Cutter as he fell down. The man smirked. They had procedures worked out.. but only a few. They almost always followed certain moves with others, because that was how they trained.

Thankfully she wasn't too heavy or anything. The Air Cutter that then came at her made the Sandile tense. "Hold strong and then Crunch," Haii stated. Nao's form tightened, and she withstood the attack before then making to bite down hard on her attacker. [/scrolly]

The Sewaddle saw that it's attack didn't quite work right, and it kept falling straight down into the pokemon's mouth. It was then crunched and found itself letting out a cry and then it's eyes became swirls. The man watched his pokemon and recalled it to the pokeball. He sighed and pulled out another pokeball. "This time I'll be serious!" he says, as though he was messing around the first time. He threw the pokeball and watched an Aron appear and stare at them. It didn't move yet, and appeared to be asleep. ._. "You... you can go first.." he says slowly.

Haii smirked a little waiting to see what the second pokemon was, yet when he saw the Aron, he frowned a little. It.. was sleeping... the hell? Mentally sighing, he pointed at the Aron. "Nao use Hone Claws," Haii stated. The Sandile nodded and crunched her claws together even further raising her Attack power. [/scrolly]

The man stood there, staring. The Aron was still asleep, and had yet to actually wake up. In fact.. it still didn't move. The man started to look upset. Did he forget to heal it after a battle or something? ._. It just stood there, doing nothing else, and the younger man found himself face palming even more. This pokemon seemed worse than the first one.

Instead, the dark haired man was walking rather quickly now towards his challenger. Raising a fist, he made to punch the man in the jaw. "What the hell is wrong with your pokemon? Do you not take care of it?" he barked sharply. Naomi sweat dropped greatly. [/scrolly]

The man was suddenly punched before he had a chance to react, and he fell down on the ground. The younger man was watching, somewhat afraid. The Aron seemed to barely open it's eye to see if it was being attacked. Was.. it faking? The man's nose was bleeding now, and he returned his Aron. "HE WAS FAKING YOU IDIOT!" he screams back, punching back at Haii. The kid looked a bit worried and pulled out a pokeball. A Spoink came flying out and looked at them. "Psychic!" the boy calls out. The spoink continued to hop where it stood, but it's pearl glowed, and it began to lift the man Haii had hit and stop his fist right before it would have hit Haii. ._. That was close. The spoink pulled him away from Haii and bit and set him down. "The fight is over! You lost again because you tried a stupid trick. You're fighting me now." the boy suddenly says, turning around to Haii at the end. ._. He seemed a lot more confident with his pokemon than the other man.

Crossing his arms in front of himself, he stood for a good few minutes just leering. A battle was meant to fight and prove who was stronger. Coming out of the gate with a pity party was only asking for the trainer to be smacked as far as Haii was concerned. As the boy stated that it was his turn, Haii looked at him and finally nodded his head. "Nao, you're up again," Haii stated starting to step back to where he had been. [/scrolly]

The boy got into place and smiled. "Spoink, retun!" he calls out. The Spoink was pulled into the pokeball and the boy smiled. He couldn't use that pokemon on a Sandile.. He had a Gallade.. but that wouldn't work either. Suddenly he grabbed a pokeball and smiled. A Delibird flew out and smiled rather happily. ._. That Sandile looked hungry! He started looking in his bag. He had some pokefood in there for that Sandile.. right? He didn't want to be eaten! "It's a battle.. you can give him a potion afterward." the boy says while smirking.

"Bite," was the order that was given, and just like that, Nao jumped forwards making to bite down on the Delibird. She was really on a roll today especially with her attack being push upwards with each battle. [/scrolly]

Delibird saw the Bite coming, and quickly used protect to stop it. ._. He really was hungry. Once the protect was gone, the Delibird launched an Ice Beam at Nao, hoping to stop it so he could retreat and attack from a far. Once he had used the attack, he'd run and try to get just a tiny bit of distance.

Haii's eyes narrowed, and he simply twitched a little. "Hone Claws," he ordered, and with that, Nao began to raise her attack power yet again. [/scrolly]

Once the Delibird had managed to get some distance, the boy grinned. "Ice Shard!" the boy shouts out. It suddenly used Ice Shard on Nao. It did this by making chunks of ice and simply launching them at Nao. The boy seemed rather happy with this, and was ready to order something else already, seeming to calculate thing as it went on.

Ugh he hated this move. "Protect," he ordered, and with that, Nao brought up a shield of sorts and blocked the attack. Now that was irritating. Stupid bird. [/scrolly]

The boy grinned. "Ice Beam again. You've got him pushed back and he can't get close." the boy says. Delibird smiled and launched the beam from his beak at Nao. The boy seemed pretty confident that he could win now. Ice was more effective after all.
