Pageant Time [Pageant Participants]

Separated by several hours, both of the characters that happen to belong to me (but they don't know that) said, "Wonderful~"

That also probably took more effort on the narrator's part than it would have just to separately have them say 'wonderful' or even different things. But it was really cool, dammit.

Back to what the characters know is happening, Flora nodded and went to the person who'd beckoned her. She filled out the papers, showed her ID, then left into one of the back rooms to change into her outfit. It was such a great outfit.

Later, Whitney did almost the same thing, though had a more confusingly sultry air to her voice with what he said.

[Maid Melody]

Sofia jumped in surprise, nearly dropping the...flat scissors...thing that she held in her hand before finally grasping it securely and smiling at the girl who had poked her.
"Ohhey! You startled me~ I'm Sofia, what's your name?"she asked in a cheerful voice before glancing back down at the contraption in her hand,"Ummm...do you know how to make these things work... I want to make my hair....not so curly and big and wavy and....welllll....this big flat scissor thingy looks like it would work but idunno and well erm....."

Miguel watched Rosa and the other girl and smiled, in truth he would be just as clumsy and foolish with the contraptions on the table if he didn't have to use them out of necessity to keep his long hair that reached past his waist tame and in control. Walking over to where the little girl was holding the straightener, he bent and pulled the girl's hair back in a more manageable ponytail.
"Here, let me help you with that m'lady." he said in a soft, gentle voice as he took the device out of Sofia's hand carefully.

Sofia blushed and allowed the tall man to take the scissor thingy out of her hand before simply nodding, silent for once.

Miguel smiled at the little girl and started on the long blond hair of the little girl, careful not to burn her, or himself while he worked, humming a soft melody all the while.
"Princess, if you'd like I could sit and you could work on my hair while I help Sofia."he said in a gentle voice before sitting in a nearby chair next to Sofia and resuming humming.

Vengeance sighed and released Xan so that she could practice with him before the actual performance began, thankful that she was at least in a secluded place. There would be no more interruptions or little girls to disturb her here after all. Looking down at the Zorua, Vengeance sighed once more and explained exactly what they were going to do while Xan stared blankly up at Vengeance, not giving away whether he liked the idea or hated it...rather he didn't give any reaction to what Vengeance had described at all but simply took it in stride.

[MCstorms]

Hope was walking around Because quite frankly he had no idea what to do now. He was lost as to where to go his expression was blank .__. As he looked around. Hope walked around and looked for some kind of usher type person.

[Jay]

Felis was glad to usher in more contestants and found himself waiting still for more to come.

Rosa grinned at Miguel and then looked back at Sofia for a moment. "My name is Rosa," she answered back before moving to look at Miguel and then nodding. "And that's good!" she chimed nodding her head at Miguel's suggestion.

[For everyone in the pageant, I have set up three separate threads for each pageant, and you can go in when you want just remember to read the labels so you know which thread is which and which to have your characters appear in. I've tagged them in the thread and at the bottom. If you wish to participate, you still can, just have your character sign in here a little late and then head to the other threads. Thanks- Jay]

[Maid Melody]

Miguel smiled and knelt so that Rosa would be able to reach his hair enough to work with it. Of course this position was a tad bit uncomfortable but he ignored this and continued to hum while straightening the other girl-Sofia's hair. After a few moments, he had finished straightening Sofia's hair and set the straightener on the counter.
"There you go m'lady, do you need any other assistance?"he asked in a gentle voice,"My name is Miguel."

Sofia smiled at Rosa when she said her name and waited until the man was done straightening her hair. When he had finished, Sofia hugged him and giggled, beaming up at him.
"Thanks Miguel~, it looks so good! Now...what to do so I can look like a boy..."she giggled,"Oh! Nice to meet you too Rosa! Do you want help with your hair too or is Miguel going to help?" she asked while going through the different hair accessories to see what she could do with her now straightened hair.

Vengeance had finally had enough practice with Xan and moved towards the stage to wait until the time the pageant actually began.

[Caden Bunny]

Suddenly a boy comes bursting through the door and rolls a bit. He seemed a bit out of breath. He looked at them and took a breath. "I.. I'm Caden... and I'd like to sign up." the kid says with a smile. Suddenly another person ran in. "I'm Zen. I know.. I know I'm late, but I'm still wanting to do this." Zen says quickly. The two boys smiled happily as they stood there. They could make good females.. right? "Uh, I'm Male.. but I'll be dressing as female" Zen says. Caden nodded. "Me too~" he says happily. They'd get ready to go on after they were signed up.

[Jay]

Those at the desks blinked a moment as the two boys came in but smiled and nodded. "I can take you both now," the clerk of sorts who was doing the male sign ups said. "Just fill out this paperwork. You both have photo IDs yes?" he asked.

Rosa smiled a little and shook her head. "Miggy'll help me. It's almost time anyways! We have to hurry!" she suddenly grinned before looking back at Miguel.

[Caden Bunny]

Zen blinked. Uh.. he had an id.. but with his hair like Alvaro's, he looked a bit different. He and Caden were digging in their bags and pulled out their ids. It was nice that there were children IDs too. =3 They both smiled, yet Zen looks a bit nervous. "My cousin just recently did my hair and nails.. and the gems. I didn't choose this.. so yeah.. I look different than my picture." Zen says slowly.

[Jay]

The man took Zen's identification card and stared at it for a good long moment. His eyes rose and went down to the picture again as though he were debating on how much he believed... well...actually.... did it even really matter when it came down to it? After a few seconds, the man simply confirmed the gender and nodded before pushing a few papers to Zen. "Please fill these out and then proceed that way to the main area," the man smiled after a moment. After a moment, the man looked at Caden and waited for an ID to be produced.

[Caden Bunny]

Zen nods and slowly fills out the work. He was taking a while, and Caden soon enough pulled out the right thing. He handed the ID over with a smile. Zen was done soon afterward. Caden waited for his ID happily. He looked about the same he did there, if not a bit older.

[Jay]

The man checked over Caden's ID and then seemed to nod to himself before handing the ID back and giving Caden the paper work that was needed. I... can't believe how young some of these participants are... but.. oh well... went through the mid of the clerk before he directed Zen off to the main room.

[Caden Bunny]

Zen and Caden walked off and were getting ready for the Pageant. They were only doing it because they needed money.. wanted the pokemon.. or were just wanting to have fun in the festival. The last one mainly went for Caden who didn't seem to care what he looked like as long as he was pretty.

Right after they left, one more boy came walking in. He looked rather.. no... extremely nervous. "I never.. thought about doing this before. I think.. I might just try this...." the boy says slowly. It was Cody, and he seemed to do this rather slowly. He wasn't exactly sure why he was doing this.. but Seiji thought it would be funny, so he would go. ^^ Maybe he'd be cute as a girl? "I'm Cody Webster. ^^ I'm gonna dress up as a girl." Cody says slowly. [A boy came running through the door. "Hey! I'm William! I wanna do this too!" William says quickly. He smiled happily.

[Jay]

The clerk smiled a little and seemed to nod his head a bit in understanding. "Well I need some photo identification if you would, please," he stated aloud already setting up some more paper work that he would request of the boy after looking at the ID. Upon seeing the other boy, the man looked over. "Hello, do you have a photo ID?" he asked towards the other boy.

[Caden Bunny]

The two boys began digging for their ID. Cody and William both sat them on the table and smiled. They were both a bit nervous, yet Cody seemed to be the most worried. William smiled happily. He was going to do Beedrill for his pokemon >=3

[Jay]

The man looked at the IDs that were presented and then gave out the paperwork to both of them rather easily. "There," he smiled nodding to each of them and waiting for the proper paper work to be filled out before directing them to the right room where the pageant would start.

[Caden Bunny]

They both walked off to go get ready for the Pageant. They were both a bit nervous, but they would do their best. =3 Maybe they could win? Nah.. Cody doubted her could. William didn't know how he'd look as a girl either. They went into the room to change and were gone for a bit.

[Maid Melody]

Sophia smiled at Rosa and finally decided to put her hair in a long ponytail like she'd seen other princes in the fairy tales do. That would do for now at least~, nodding at Rosa's answer, she giggled,"This is going to be fun~! Well I better go, I still need to tell Mindy what we're going to be doing! Good luck Rosa, you too Miguel~" she said in a cheerful voice before leaving the room to go to where the actual pageant would be held.

Miguel nodded to Sophia as she left,"And good luck to you Miss Sophia,"he said in a kind voice before setting about fixing Rosa's hair for the pageant. After a while, Miguel had finished with the young girl's hair and sat down in a chair next to Rosa,"There you go princess~ what do you think?"he asked in a kind voice.

[Jay]

The young girl grinned a bit as she found everything to her liking and then nodded back. "I like it!" she grinned a bit to herself before slowly moving behind Miguel and then starting on his hair.

Up at the front, Black Jack Spade was walking all but nervously to the front desk. He wore a brown cloak like thing around his figure and was pulling it ever tighter as he walked. He had heard that the duke was holding a festival as well as a cross dressing pageant with a lot of money at stake... and well.. Jack's tab at a certain blue haired man's bar had ran so high that Lyall had with-held drinks until Jack payed up. To the purple haired man, this was a great opportunity to get the quick cash. However, ever since a certain quarrel that had ended rather badly, Jack had been more or less wary of Felis... and he was so now... Hopefully, he could just slip-....... Nope. Well... Jack's eyes stared at the blond haired man waiting at the entrance, and for a few seconds, he stood there. However, after a moment, he just put on a confident smirk, pulled his coat a bit closer, and walked to the front desk directly past Felis, who was still ushering more people in, and signed up without so much as a hitch. After that, he quickly walked towards the changing room to get ready. Ah... this was going to be interesting.......

[Maid Melody]

Miguel waited patiently while Rosa did his hair, doing his best not to move even in the slightest lest he mess up what the young girl was working on. After a while, Rosa had finished and Miguel looked in the mirror, finding himself flushed rather red as he saw what a good job she had done.
"You did a good job princess~."he said in a kind, quiet voice as he stood up and smiled down at her,"We better head out ourselves, the pageant sounds like it's about to start. Good luck and have fun~."
With this said, Miguel left and headed toward the stage, still wondering what exactly he'd gotten himself into.

[Ferorodono]

Diana walked on the path to the house rather calmly. She hoped she wasn't late, but Diana simply could not run in looking like a maniac. She had to be cool. Anyways, the house was rather large, and Diana had had to inspect the outside first. She was late because the girl had been walking around large houses like this one, wondering if she would one day be wealthy enough to afford a house like this one. The girl finally reached the door and opened it slowly, peering into the house. "Hello?" She stumbled a little as a girl rushed past her, but maintained her balance and walked further into the room behind the gothic girl.

Ashter ran to the building, huffing. She had stopped to admire a guitar on display on the way over and had gone into the small store, contest forgotten. She hoped it wasn't too late... "Hello?" she called as she finally reached the entrance. The girl barged in the door that had just opened, almost knocking over a girl that was entering the house. But at the moment, she didn't care. "Is...Is anyone here? Helloooo? Is there a contest thingy here?"
