Turn of the Tables (Jay/Cora/Open)

Cora turned to Felis with smile on her face. Yes, she knew Felis was forgiving but seeing as she was still getting to know him. She was unsure till know. And with out thinking she gave Felis a hug, she was just to happy to think at the moment. " Thank you so much!" Cora said so forgetting herself and those around her for a minute. Though when she realized what she was doing she turned beat red let go of Felis and backed up a few steps letting out a embarrassed little laugh. " We should head back now, We don't want to keep Kero and Alvaro waiting." Cora said sounding up beat and she started walking. She then realized she forgot Poochyena, "Poochyena, come." Cora commanded. the little dark type was sniffing and growling at Lance for hr did not know him. But when Cora called be barked and came when called. With a smile Cora then started to make her way back into the castle. [/scrolly]

Teach her? Teach her what? For some reason Lance found himself desperately trying to hold back a laugh. In the end he failed and let out a very small, muffled chuckle before quickly lifting his hand to cover his mouth. He couldn’t help it. The thought of Felis actually teaching someone anything was just hysterical. “I apologize little brother, I don’t mean to laugh but I never imagined the day you would be teaching others.” Felis was a sweet young man, sure, But Lance never saw him as… well, someone to be teaching at least. “You’ve grown into twice the man I’ll ever be.” He had dropped his hand back down to his side as his smile softened and admiring eyes fell on Felis. As Cora claimed they should be returning to the other two men, Lance’s smile faded almost completely.

He supposed he had interrupted enough already. “I should stop taking up your time” He gave a small bow of the head, “Thank you again for retrieving my ribbon.” Lance then took a step back, intending to watch the two take their leave when something suddenly came to his mind. Could it have waited for another time? Yes, probably. But Lance wasn’t the type to wait… or at least not when he didn’t want to. “Oh, Felis, when you have time next I… I’d like to speak the security levels of the castle with you. If, you wouldn’t mind… that is.”

“Maybe we can find a good barber shop while we are in the capital,“ Kero suggested with a thoughtful look upon his face before he felt his hand behind placed onto Alvaro’s cheek. Kero’s expression had then gone slightly blank when Alvaro claimed he didn’t need to be sorry. Yet soon enough a soft smile and slight blush reached his cheeks. “Alvaro Gean, I’m simply twitterpated by you.” He stated before leaning over to give the green haired man a soft kiss on the lips. What harm was there in kissing Alvaro here? The Duke was busy and no one else was around. Not to mention that atmosphere of the place was just… so beautiful, even if Alvaro stood out amongst it all.

At being suddenly hugged, Felis found himself momentarily stunned. From the way Cora had presented herself the times before, he had never taken her to be the time to do such a thing. However, it wasn't as though he didn't accept it. Far from that, and in another moment, he found himself hugging her back rather easily. "Of course of course you silly, dear Cora," he hummed lightly back to her as she stated 'thank you'. As Cora released the hug, Felis took the notion to release the girl and smile easily. The color on Cora's face didn't escape Felis's eyes, yet it didn't bother him in the least. Instead, he found himself grinning a bit more possibly because of it. At the suggestion to get back to Kero and Alvaro, Felis slowly nodded his head and watched as Cora started back into the castle again.

He had been about to follow when his ears had caught the sound of something, and Felis's eyes rested on Lance. At the apology, Felis sighed quietly and shook his head. "I do what is asked of me, that's all," he answered back after a moment offering something of a smile. It was harder than that, really. People didn't just ask him at times. They forced him to act in some manner such as the entire case that had transpired previously. However, Felis didn't have time to ponder this but rather went onto the next statement that Lance had said. Looking at his elder brother, the shorter blond nodded slowly. "Alright. We'll talk in a bit," he answered back beflore starting towards and into the castle.

That sudden ... - or possibly not so sudden? Who was counting seconds? - kiss left Alvaro slowly grinning. In a moment... just a moment... was still rather nice. After a moment he broke the kiss and found himself just grinning ear to ear. "Pft, Kero," was all Alvaro answered back with.

Her eyes hardened into a cold glare, habit was winning over again. " I don't think I remember asking for your opinion Lance... As I feel already I'm lucky Felis agreed to help. Please don't make fun of him..." Cora said in a angry annoyed tone of voice. Then a look of realizing came to her face and she head pulmed. She did it again! But she was not all that sorry this time. She was standing up for a friend, though she could have been nicer about it she thought. " Sorry if that came out rudely.. Old habits die hard..." thats all Cora was going to say and she walked back into the castle. After a few minutes she found the room Kero and Alvaro. Looking at them she could tell something happned for they where both smileing at each other. Cora was not going to ask, she just sat down on a chair and patted her lap and Poochyena jumped up and sat down on Cora's lap as Cora started to pet him not really looking up to talk to Alvaro or Kero. If there had of been doubt before, there was none now. It was clear that this young woman did not like him. That was fine with Lance though. He was not there to make friends or to impress nameless people which was exactly what she was in his mind. But, as it was, Lance Rosie hated when others were rude towards him without good reason. Actually… he hated it even if they had good reason. He saw himself far more superior than the twerp of a woman. On top of that, his laughter had been brought by an apology and a complement. What more did she want from him?

Lance’s eyes narrowed significantly, his smile fading completely as he glared at her. “I highly see a reason to apologize twice.” He had held back raising his voice, though he couldn’t hide the hiss in his words. Giving no room for her to respond, he gave Felis a quick bow, a “Until later” and quickly turned on his heal, making his way out into the garden. He had no idea if she had responded to him, and gave himself no time to read Felis’s reactions. He knew he needed to leave before he truly did slip up and lose his temper.

Kero had just straightened up, his pale brown eyes still looking down at Alvaro as Cora walked in. An instant flush of pink painted his cheeks as his eyes fell on her. He really had no idea if she had seen the kiss or not. Surely it wouldn’t harm anything if she had. “I take it you found your Treeko ok?” He asked, trying to pretend as if nothing had happened as he made his way back to seat. “Hope ah…” Shoot what was his name? “Lance wasn’t too upset.”

At Cora's words and Lane's response, Feliciano could only find himself mentally sighing. He didn't say anything even as Cora made another statement about old habits dying hard, yet he simply watched as Lance walked away. I wish they wouldn't fight.... was what had come to mind, but before Felis could say anything to Cora on the subject, it appeared she was already on the move and heading back towards the room. Frowning quietly to himself, Felis stood there an extra few seconds before shoving his hands in his pockets and walking back towards the room.

Alvaro looked sideways at Cora and stared rather quietly before leaning back in his chair and grinning a bit. "That was bloody hysterical by he way," he grinned ear to ear unable to hold back such a smile. The gems on his face were shoved up by the sheer force of the smile and seemed to flicker a bit more dangerously than usual.

At that moment, Felis walked back into the room looking caught with a mixed visage. Though he had tried to put on something of a smile, it was evident that this wasn't going well. After a moment or so, he gave it up and allowed something more somber to come to his face. "Well that was interesting... sorry we had to disappear momentarily," he spoke looking back at Kero and Alvaro. "And now I've completely lost my train of thought.... Where were we?"

Showing she did not think what happened was funny at at all. " Yes, I found my Treecko... And glad you found it so funny Alvaro.." Cora said holding trying to hold her emotion back as much as possible. When Felis walked back in Cora looked down and off to the side, she could not breing her self to look at Felis for the moment. It was her fault for not being able to control her pokemon. She still had a long way to go with Treecko.. Poochyena looked up at Cora and his ears went down in sympathy He then licked her nose. When Poochyena did that she blinked and looked at her small dark type smiled and hugged him. Poochyena smiled and started to wag his tail, happy that he was able to make Cora smile. [/scrolly]

In Kero’s mind, Alvaro was just having a bit of fun. After all, the Treecko had only stolen a hair ribbon. Well, alright, Kero did understand why she was upset. He knew it most likely wasn’t the ribbon or the Treecko acting up that upset her. Most likely it was pure fact that she wanted to give a good impression around Felis. At least, Kero knew that’s why he would be upset. However, Kero couldn’t help but feel protective over Alvaro. After all, Alvaro was no doubt the only reason he too wasn’t feeling a bit down after what happened. Both Cora and Felis didn’t look so hot at the current moment. Though Felis looked as if he were trying to hide it, it was obvious that something was still bothering him. “Well it’s good everything worked out, right?” Kero finally spoke up, giving a light laugh before looking over to Felis. “Umm, I believe you were inviting us all for dinner. Am I right?” He asked before turning to give Cora a small smile and Alvaro a wink. He was trying his very best to lighten up the mood in the room. [/scrolly] [bg=brown]

"Ah, right," Felis smiled managing to recover a bit. "Hm... what time is it...." he hummed a bit to himself. Upon pulling back a sleeve, he inspected the watch he had before making a mental note. "Joel should be starting dinner relatively soon," he began to fish out a pokeball before releasing it. A rather quiet looking Cherubi appeared. "Ruru please let Joel know we'll be having a few guests," Felis smiled. Nodding, the Cherubi started off towards the cook.

Alvaro had cooled again and seemed to be settling back to his more amused face. "What shall we do in the meantime? I don't like to be bored," he smiled bluntly at Felis who blinked a moment and found his hand reaching up to rub the back of his neck.

"I don't suppose you're fond of any sort of games," Felis began with a somewhat cheesy smile.

Could it just be a nightmare? Ha Cora wished it was a nightmare. Cora looked over at Feils and tried to offer a small smile. Though it felt cheesy and not real. When Kero spoke up Cora looked over to him just in time to see him give a small smile to her. Cora gave a small smile back. When Alvaro spoke up and said he did not like to be bored, Cora looked at him and blinked. When Feils asked if any of them where fond of any games Cora smiled and stood up. "Sure, I'm up for a game. Does not matter what kind" Cora was ready to move on and forget about what just happened. [/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Kero found himself nodding, if not a bit too much, when Felis explained that his cook should be preparing dinner soon. However, when Alvaro spoke up about not wanting to be bored, Kero’s cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Enough so, that he ended up giving Alvaro a small nudge with his elbow. It was a good thing Felis was a rather light hearted Duke. Or at least appeared to be. Some nobles would have been ready to toss Alvaro in a dungeon cell for the night for even daring to claim they could possibly be bored in their company. Luckly, Felis was not one of those Dukes and instead the offer of a game was brought up. It clamed Kero a bit, though his cheeks were still a bit flushed. “What sort of game did you have in mind?” the dark haired man finally spoke up, a small smile spreading over his lips. “I’m certain we would enjoy just about anything.” So long as Kero didn’t have to run a mile he’d be happy. Running just wasn’t his thing. [/scrolly] [bg=brown]

A rather confused look came to Alvaro's face as he noticed Kero's general reaction. Turning his head slightly to one side, he was about to ask what he had said wrong when Felis had mentioned the game and everyone seemed to comply with that well enough. Nodding his head, Alvaro shrugged and smiled. "Sounds good to me," he finished up the comments before nudging Kero back and smiling easily at him.

Felis, meanwhile, smiled a little and rubbed the back of his head as he thought over what they could actually play. It had been a while since he'd played anything that wasn't some sort of girly game Rosa concocted. "Well, we have a range of board games including Life and Monopoly.... as well as Twister among other things," he laughed a little shaking his head and still feeling sheepish.
