[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance looked up at Nero as she stood and bowed, that small smile returning to his lips. He was hoping that once his goal was met their would be no need for anyone to have an assassin anymore. Other then himself and his company… it made things easier… but that was another thing completely. “You didn’t sound needy at all,” Lance confirmed, “It was a mere offer to help my friend as he would help me.” Though their ways of helping one another were very different, he felt the way Nero had agreed to help him was worth much more than any amount of gold. Though he did feel a tad odd calling the man a friend as he was not use to having such a thing. “Heh… though I don’t know if either of us will live that long.” he stated as she sat back down. It wasn’t that he expected to die. In fact he hoped for a very long life, but he could not deny that at some point his life would be in danger especially once… his secrets were no longer secrets. "I at least want to get into my twenties," she answered back. She was nineteen, after all. Asking for one more year in Era was both a small amount and large amount when one thought about it. Each day, one could easily die from something, and in Nero's line of work, that increased ten fold. However, people were known to live to be one hundred... That was something Nero doubted she would ever see in her own life, yet then again who really knew? [/scrolly] |

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance blinked as she claimed she wanted to at lest make it to her twenties. He couldn’t remember if the man had told him how old she was. “You’re eighteen or nineteen, am I right?” He asked just to clarify for sure. He knew it was a young age to be so talented at killing people, but sometimes the most talented of people gained that talent at a very young age. Sometimes it wasn’t even on purpose. “It makes me feel a bit old.” He then claimed as his eyes drifted back down to the fire and he found himself folding his hands in front of him. It really didn't matter if he knew her age to her given that there weren't many legal restrictions held up for such things. "Nineteen," she answered back before slowly turning her head to one side and raising her eyebrow slowly. How... old was he? He looked maybe late twenties at most, really, maybe even a bit younger depending on maturity values. "How old are you?" she finally asked. Seeing as he had clarified, she decided to give it a guesstimate. "Late twenties?" [/scrolly] |

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Late twenties… for some reason he wished he was still in his twenties but that had changed merely a month ago. “Close, but I just turned thirty not too long ago.” He replied with a slight smirk as he glanced at her for a moment before looking back at the fire. “Hopefully that means I don’t quite look my age yet.” When he was younger he found the years passed by so slowly and now that he was older time never seemed to slow down. Every year seemed to zip by faster than he could have ever imagined it to. Even little Rosa was slowly becoming not as… well little. “I should probably have had a wife by now…” He then claimed, making himself feel a tad depressed over that as well. It wasn’t like he needed one, but he felt as if he should have one. At the same time he really wasn’t sure if he was ready to settle down with anyone. He had yet to find that person he was truly interested in. To him, every woman he had met so far was nothing more but a tool. Not that he couldn’t just find the prettiest one and marry her. However, at the wife comment, Nero found a slight look of confusion coming to her face. She had at least eleven more years before she reached thirty, but why would...age make one feel compelled to have a partner? Why would it ...matter. However, at that particular moment, the image of Aisla it the front of Nero's brain, and she quite literally had to fight off the urge to face/knee right then and there. Mmmmmm............. "Why?" she finally asked looking sideways at him with a rather questioning look. "Would you rather rush looking for a partner and choose the wrong one rather than wait and see what actually comes of things?" [/scrolly] |

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance oddly let out a small chuckle at her question as he leaned forwards and set his chin into the palm of his hand. “No, I suppose I wouldn’t want to rush it but…” He let out a small sigh as his eyes narrowed slightly and he almost looked a tad sad. “I’d like to have someone to raise my children someday. preferably before she goes through menopause.” He almost felt as if that aspect of his life was slowly drifting away from him. The idea of never truly having his own family saddened him somewhat. Besides, someday he would need someone other than Felis to take care of Rosa. He doubted Felis would be around forever. He also knew he, himself, would be poor at taking care of any child. He just wasn’t meant for it. [/scrolly] [bg=black] |

Children? She couldn't even fathom having children as a nasty image of her mother began to creep up from the back of her mind. Shoving this thought back into the black abyss where it came from, Nero kept her face flat and calm before slowly nodding. "I...honestly can't imagine having or wanting children," she answered back rather calmly but far from flatly. [/scrolly] |

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Never imagining having children… well he could understand that the idea of a family was not always everyone’s vision but he still wanted his own someday. Perhaps. If that was even possible. “They aren’t so bad. You can do all the things your own parents didn’t do for you.” He smirked at that moment, shaking his head, “Or teach them how not to raise their own children.” After his statement however, he found his smirk disappearing and his expression turning cold as he watched the flames of the fire flicker some more. Family was such a touchy subject. He wasn’t even sure why he had continued talking about it at all. [/scrolly] [bg=black] |

It'd probably just be easier to find an apprentice of sorts and raise that instead. Teaching how to kill..... No, she probably couldn't do that when she thought about it. "You're logical," she answered back after a moment. Nero wasn't sure what had prompted her to state this, but she had. It was true. She could teach someone who was younger than her what was in the world, but did she even have the right? "I may have children someday... if I can ever find what I'm looking for," she mumbled a bit to herself after that. What was she looking for? The answer, the only one that ever mattered.... [scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance sighed as she claimed he was logical. “I just need to learn to follow my own logic more often.” he claimed as he leaned forwards, setting his chin in the palm of his hand. It wasn’t that he didn’t follow his own logic, just at times he found some of it got drowned out or set aside for other matters. Another reason he believed he wasn’t married yet. Surely he could find someone who at least understood him. Sort of like Nero, in a way. He didn’t believe in true love so he had no intentions of finding such a thing.
Turning his head in his palm of his hand, he looked at Nero, raising an eyebrow, “And what is it that you are looking for?” She had to of expected him to ask the question even if it was being a bit nosey. But then, he had spoken a bit about his own personal matters so why not ask few from the man as well? Perhaps in a way he could help Nero find what ever it was. Though Lance had a good feeling it might not be something he could actually help Nero find. Most likely it was something she had to do on her own.

She could lie... state that she was looking for something tangible or something.... "Answers," she answered back before realizing that she had actually said it. Well there it was in a way of sorts. She was looking for answers to questions.... "Most of them can only be answered by the person I refuse to ask......" she sighed a bit. Her mother, where in the world was that horrible woman? Probably up north still.......... ."Have you ever had someone hate you for no reason?" she asked suddenly. [/scrolly] |

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Answers… such a simple way to avoid answering the question but he got the point and didn’t push it further. He had no reason to other than curiosity and he could hold the urge to ask well enough. Though as she continued to speak he did notice his curiosity growing before coming to a sudden halt. He found himself frowning at her question as his hand dropped from his chin but his body staid in it’s slouched position. “There is always a reason for hating someone, even if it’s not fully justified.” Lance claimed, his eyes narrowing a bit more as the images of a few family members flickered in his mind. “But yes, I do.” His last few words were cold. “But I’m certain I wont have to see them again." Yes, there was a reason... just... It didn't ... It still didn't make sense after all these years... At Lance's finishing statement, Nero looked sideways at him. "Did you kill them?" was the dry question that came after. [scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] "They were all killed because you and Dad weren't around,"… for some reason Nero’s words had caused the words Felis spoke the day Lance had returned to Era to ring in his mind. Weren’t around… of all the days to not be… Lance’s eyes seemed to lose all the light they once held a moment ago as his expression went completely cold. “No I didn‘t.” He spoke coldly before closing his eyes and letting out a deep breath. What... She didn't understand what the full reaction was supposed to mean and probably never would, yet that look just seemed so iced over. Was he forcing himself to be that way the way she forced herself to drain her emotions when killing? No, she doubted that, silly impulsive thought. However, even then, that thought lingered in the back of her mind as that look had. "....Maybe..." she answered back to the question that was put to her in response. "But then it reminds me that the person who hates me probably wishes the same thing." she sighed a bit. If she was dead, would her mother even care? Would she even rejoice to losing such a daughter? Well, technically she had already lost such...Nero was no longer at home and had no intention of going north just yet. If her mother had simply renounced all claims to her, would she then be happy? Would either of them be happy? Nero didn't know the answer, yet these lack of answers were starting to chew at her again. And then it was that Nero was reminded of others that would hate her... those people that she had taken lives from,... ghosts of people and people left behind in life. ".........I hate ghosts," she finally sighed more as an impulsive thought rather than anything else. [/scrolly] |

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Her words made Lance wonder about two things. First was whether or not his father had the same harboured hatred for him as he had for his father. Probably not. But he would if… Well at least Lance believed he would. The second was just how many people out there wished he was dead as well. He was certain there were many people out there who wished his heart would stop but he really didn’t care about them. If they wanted to kill him then they were welcomed to try.
Lance found himself smirking suddenly as she claimed she hated Ghosts. “An assassin who hates ghosts.” he spoke softly, almost sounding as if he was mocking her a bit, “Afraid the souls of those you killed will return? I‘d think they would be after the person who ordered them dead first.” He wasn’t afraid of that. The dead stayed dead. Ghost pokemon were nothing more than that; a pokemon. All the talk about some of them being the souls of the dead or whatever was just foolish. They were pokemon, meant to serve humans just as any other. [/scrolly] [bg=black] |

Nero Ishi didn't appreciate being mocked, yet she was not nearly as spring-loaded as the time in Drifter's Gorge, and she wasn't about to retaliate as such. "And Ghost types do super effective damage to my Psychics which is a more prominent reason I dislike them," she stated as though trying to force a more logical point into being. "Though I could get around that with having my Espeon use a Shadow Ball or a Bite," she mused dryly thinking of Est. He was rather newly evolved and as such made quite a bit of a fool of himself with his psychic powers. Hopefully he would relax in time. [/scrolly] |

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance gave Nero a sideways glance as she claimed both killer and the one who ordered the killing were the same. In some senses he saw that as true and in others he didn’t. After all, the one who was killed would have still been alive if weren’t for the one who ordered it. He saw it no different from the ones who made the commands for a war on an innocent town. The King and men who supported him were the guilty ones, not the army who did the killing to survive. Though Lance supposed that was all just one way to look at it. Many probably saw it differently.
Her reason for hating Ghosts types did make sense though. Weakness was a thing to keep in account. He believed he had rather good pokemon for breaking through his weakness’s though. His Dragon’s made up for most of the weakness’s his Grass types had. His dragon’s were weak against other dragons but they were also weak against his own. The only type he ever really had trouble with were Ice types. Both his Dragons and Grass pokemon were weak against them. Luckily he had a few fire types to counter that. Though he rarely admitted to having them. His training of them were always done in places where no one could see and he rarely used them in battles. Mostly he didn’t want his brother knowing he had them. “I suppose that’s the same for me with the Ice pokemon. They are tad harder for my pokemon to handle.”

Ah, Dragons and Grass both had a problem against that. "Have you considered Steel types? Possibly breeding hybrids to cover up that?" she asked calmly. Nero didn't know much about breeding outside of what she had read here and there and what she had learned about it from that woman. Also, Steel types had a good deal of powerful defenses in general which was one of the reasons she kept them as well. [/scrolly] |
