[Maid Melody]

The Pidove twins jumped almost simultaneously when they heard the crash and instantly regretted doing so as their respective injures throbbed all the more. The Meditite tried his best to sooth the Pidove but when he heard the crash and flinched at the loud sound it had made, of course that was to be expected when one's hearing was as sensitive as his own. Looking in the direction the crash had come from, the Meditite titled his head,"Is all well friend?"he voiced in perfect English.

"Owwwww ow ow ow ow....ow.....ow...." he cried slightly before sitting up slightly only to realize he was on Xavier. Sweat dropping, he slowly stood up. "Ugh... sorry..." he mumbled weakly before extending a hand to Xavier to help him up. He didn't even notice the pokemon just yet. [/scrolly]

As his mind stopped reeling, Xavier reached up to take the hand offered to him, slowly rising himself. Once he felt steady, he brushed himself off, a brown eye sliding over Felis' frame critically to ensure he didn't suffer any bad injuries. He was standing, however, which was always good. "I'd much rather be a landing pad for yah than the ground, so sal good." He grinned, reaching out to knock the blonde on the noggin gently before turning towards the Meditite, hearing him call.

Blinking, he approached the cage slowly, kneeling down to inspect within. "I'm fine, thank you, but... they don't look so good." He gestured to the Pidove, Bethany nodding in agreement. "Have you been trapped here long?" He blinked, looking around suddenly. If this was the work of that stupid, blabbering Fraxure, Arceus help him...

The Meditite nodded sadly,"I cannot tell you how long we have been here as I cannot see where the sun is now but it certainly feels like several hours have passed since I first came across my unfortunate companions. I believe one has injured a wing while the other a leg ... but I cannot be certain of this,"he explained calmly though his voice sounded almost as if he had given up entirely and had accepted his fate.

The Pidove twins did not move, knowing full well that if they did they would only hurt themselves even more so than they already were but simply looked at the humans with hopeful eyes, pleading them to rescue them.

At the mention of the landing pad, Felis sweat dropped greatly but managed to offer a weak smile in return... only to recieve a slight push to his head that left the smile growing a bit more than previously. Well... at least he still had his humor, if that could have even been knocked out somehow... As Xavier turned and addressed the caged pokemon, Felis actually realized they were there and stood where he was for a moment slowly turning his head to one side as blond locks fell sideways as well. A frown set itself on his features, but Felis returned his head upwards and slowly drew closer to the caged pokemon as Xavier addressed them. As he looked over the Meditite and heard it speak, Felis blinked. It was rare for pokemon to speak, or at least he thought it was: given Blossom, his mildly strange Shieldtwig hybrid was one of the few that he knew that could... only after she'd ordered him to make a special type of pokemon food for her and her sisters that one time ^^;. However, the words of the Meditite was what caught him. They were trapped down here and injured? "....That's not good..." he mumbled softly before looking around for some sort of way into the cage. Taking a few side steps, Felis began to make his way around the cage looking for some sort of door or anything to possibly get them out. However, upon finding the door in question locked up, the blond haired man stared and looked back towards Xavier. "Humans?" he questioned after a moment. [/scrolly]

Humans? Hmm. A brow quirked inquisitively as Xavier considered the idea, but... "I'm not sure about that... I mean, I bet people still come here to catch Poke'mon, but not.... literally." He gestured towards the cage as he spoke, casting a concerned gaze towards it for a moment before rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "If anything, I bet they had a run in with that Fraxure and his 'royal decree' or something." He shook his head, humming. That seemed the most logical, anyway.

Rounding the cage to stand next to Felis, he inspected the lock with a keen eye. Shifting his person, he wordlessly recalled Bethany back into her ball and looked sideways at Felis apologetically. "I have an idea to get them out, but you're going to have to trust me. I know you won't like him, but... he won't do anything to yah, I promise." He said, pressing the trigger on another Poke'ball to reveal Ace, his Charmeleon.

The lizard yawned and glanced about, eyes falling on the cage in front of him with a raised brow, before looking back to Xavier and Felis. "Put some flame on that lock, Ace. If you can soften it enough, we can probably break it off with a Slash or something." Xav ordered, glancing over to Felis briefly before taking a subtle step to cross in front of him, somewhat, to hopefully offer some sort of comfort. He knew of his fear of fire types...

Ace nodded slowly and turned, leering at the lock before him. With a couple huffs of smoke, he took it in his claws and began spitting flames onto it, changing the consistency as he saw fit.

The Meditite listened to the conversation between the two humans, content to remain silent for the moment until he heard what sounded like a rather large Pokemon being released. Not wanting to take any chances, he formed a Protect around the Pidove twins and himself lest they be accidentally burnt or scratched even though that hadn't been the humans' intention. After a short time the lock gave way but the Meditite remained in the cage, not knowing if the bars around the lock would be cool yet or not.

The Pidove twins could see all that was going and though they were daunted at the sight of the Charmeleon, knew that he was simply trying to help. When the lock came free, the twins wanted to get out of the cage but knew that they wouldn't be able to move without hurting themselves again and so remained where they were, feeling rather helpless after all this time being trapped in a cage.

Felis's face paled, and he appeared almost ghostly for a few seconds before he managed to shake off that initial feeling if only a bit. A Charizard had been something he had seen burning down Forest Castle, and all the specie's pre-evolutions were not his most favorite of Fire types (if he could even find one he didn't like enough to actually like, that is). Despite this, he'd already been forced to deal with another Charizard what was-- had it really been a year ago already? It certainly didn't feel like it.... Either way, he'd forced himself at least not to react as he had done so previously... despite the fact that it still brought with it a bodily reaction from him regardless. He didn't even speak as Xavier ordered out some fire on the lock, yet as Xav moved in front, Felis finally found himself able to look away, and thus, he put his hands in his pockets and did so. As the lock in question was softened enough and the metal gave way, Felis slowly looked back but still didn't say much of anything. [/scrolly]

As soon as the lock broke, Xavier laid a hand on Ace's snout and rubbed it briefly, before swiftly returning him to his ball. He spared a glance back at Felis and internally sighed... it was unfortunate, but now it was over, so perhaps he would bolster back up. Hopefully.

Looking back forward, he knelt in front of the Pidove twins, inspecting their injuries with a keen eye and a quiet hum. "We ought to get you two to a Poke'mon Center... now be still, we won't hurt yah." He said quietly, tentatively reaching forward with his hands in an attempt to pick one up, gently, of course. "Could you try to get the other, Feli...?" He murmured back at the blonde, glancing once more with a small pang of guilt. He looked down...

The Meditite slowly climbed out of the cage and looked in Felis' direction ... or rather turned his head considering the Meditite could not see. He could tell something had changed but not being able to see Felis' general demeanor, the Meditite had no knowledge of what took place only that the other person had gone quiet after the release of a rather large fire Pokemon he assumed could possibly be a Charizard. Given this reasoning, it was plausible that the other man was afraid of fire which would explain why the Meditite sensed something was wrong. "Friend, be at peace ... we are well now and there is no fire Pokemon for miles that I am aware of other than what your companion has just returned,"the Meditite said in a calm voice before turning towards Xavier and bowing,"I thank you for your assistance, I had tried to break the bars on my own but to no avail. I am afraid I'm simply not that strong as of yet." In truth, the Meditite was rather strong, but not when it came to physical attacks such as breaking open a cage. No, due to his meditations and the fact that his blindness forced him to rely on his other senses which were understandably more acute, his strengths were in psychic attacks and though the Meditite could surely have broken out of the cage quite easily, he did not want to injure the Pidove any more than they already were.

When the Pidove chirped quietly when she was picked up as Xavier touched her broken wing but settled soon after this, trusting the man who had rescued her to help. After all if the man was bad then he would certainly have done something else rather than try to help them right ... right.

The other Pidove watched as her sister was picked up and looked at Felis, cooing comfortingly despite the fact that she was the one in trouble right now and not the man in front of her. Still, he looked so down and worried and ... she couldn't really do anything but try to comfort him. Out of the two Pidoves, she had always been the stronger and wiser one and if it hadn't been for her sister and her broken leg would have probably tried escaping ages ago. The Meditite had helped her calm her frantic sister though which she was grateful for and they had settled into a resigned state as they waited to see what would become of them. Of course when the men showed up, the Pidove had been hopeful but didn't put much stock in a rescue but this was only because she had been hurt by humans before and had been wary of them ever since. The fact that they had rescued them did give them some points but as far as the Pidove was concerned, she wasn't going to trust them immediately like her sister had, but of course she knew that in order to escape her prison she would need their help and thus was going to cooperate with them if only for her sister's sake.

The words of the Meditite that followed slowly made him look towards the pokemon in question and slowly look around again. Blue eyes settled on Xav for a brief moment before being called to a new location as the Pidove that hadn't been taken up cooed. Staring for a brief moment, Felis's eyes softened and he relaxed physically. Slowly bending down, he stepped forwards slightly and made to reach out to the small bird pokemon with a gentle hand. "Yeah.... we'll get you three to a pokemon center as soon as possible..." he hummed Xavier's words in a quiet voice now. Whatever had started to shake in him was settling again which honestly was for the best. [/scrolly]

With a slow nod, Xavier shifted the Pidove into one of his arms and slowly reached down to scoop the Meditite up into his free arm, backing out of the cage and looking around. Things had gone eerily quiet... "Lets get out of here." Xavier stated, shifting his weight again (slowly, as to not hurt the wild Poke'mon) and releasing Wish from his ball.

The Gyarados yawned widely before blinking slowly, having been taking a nap. He looked much better from earlier, the ice having since melted off his fins and scales. He craned his neck down to peer at the smaller Poke'mon Xavier and Felis had, grumbling in curiosity. "They're hurt, buddy..." Xavier blinked, looking down to the Meditite. "How'd you end up there anyway? Was it that Fraxure or..." He trailed off. "Is anyone else hurt?" Typical Xavier, wanting to help in every way...

The Meditite didn't object when he was picked up as well, truth be told he was rather exhausted after the whole ordeal and wished for nothing more than some peace and quiet. The two Pidove seemed to have settled down quite nicely which put the Meditite's mind at ease at least for now. When he heard the sound of a Pokemon being released, the Meditite turned his head in Wish's direction, discerning by it's size that it was rather large. Of course this was as much as the Meditite was able to discern at least immediately. Hearing Xavier's voice, the Meditite turned his head towards the voice and blinked,"I am uncertain as to all that happened but I believe it was the Fraxure that you speak of. He finds my lack of sight to be insulting and thus I was locked away only to have my companions thrown in with me shortly after that. Perhaps they could enlighten you as to what happened to them but as far as I can tell they were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time and were punished accordingly,"he replied in a calm voice before sighing quietly,"As far as anyone else being hurt I do not know. Surely there are others that are injured for some insult to this Fraxure but I do not know where they may be found."

The Pidove twins nodded in affirmation of the Meditite's explanation, it seemed they had indeed been injured by the Fraxure for reasons even they did not know.

"He shouldn't have that kind of power," was the rather dry statement that came from him. "If anything, those in power should help those with injuries and the like." After a moment he opened his eyes again and sighed knowing all too well that was not how a lot of the system worked as much as he disliked it. People were important and needed to be taken care of... rather than just.... Shaking his head, Felis looked sideways and stared at Wish before offering the water dragon a smile before looking back at Xavier. "We should get them out of here first and then maybe look around some more or something..." he said rather quietly. Well this certainly wasn't what he had planned to be doing today, but at the same time, it was alright. He truly did like taking care of others and helping especially face to face like that.... As he listened to the Meditite, Xavier's frown only worsened, a downbeat hum escaping his lips as he approached Wish. "We'll get them out to safety and..." And what? "Honestly, I have the confidence of taking on the Fraxure if need be... he is a Dragon type and I have many water-types that can use ice." He stated with a nod, motioning for Wish to bend over. The Gyarados complied and Xavier leaned up, settling the Pidove onto his back, just above a fin, with the Meditate just behind her. He then turned to Felis and wordlessly slipped the Pidove out of his arms to secure it on Wish as well, before looking up at his buddy. "Take these guys out of here bud, we'll follow yah." Wish nodded slowly and turned, nuzzling Felis quickly before slowly and carefully scaling the wall out of the enclosure, peering back down att he pair to make sure they could get out.

Xavier then loosed another poke'ball and released his Garchomp, Ace. The dragon looked to him silently before looking to Felis, nodding briefly in greeting. "I also have this guy, and I'm pretty sure he can handle that little Fraxure and his goonies if need be." Xavier grinned, looking at Felis fully before sighing, snagging him in a quick hug. "Oii, brighten up. We're doing something good, aren't we?" He mused before pulling away and gesturing to Ace. "Lets get out of here... but keep your eyes peeled; for other trapped Poke'mon or unfriendly ones.' He then braced himself on Ace's back, motioning for the drake to go up to Wish. The shark nodded once and leapt up, gliding upwards and out.

The Meditite rested calmly on Wish's back as he was flown away for he could indeed tell that this was flight by the rush of wind even if only just a slight change considering the Gyarados wasn't going very fast probably for the Pidoves' sake. Or at least that was how it appeared to the Meditite at least for the time being. The Pidove twins were rather calm despite being on the back of the large water dragon, really they were just thankful that someone had rescued them from that cage of misery.

Not far away, small sounds of crying could be heard as an odd trio of Pokemon came into view. It seemed that the source of the crying came from a Jollaby who appeared to be clinging to an Eevee who was trying its best to make the poor thing happy. Not a foot away from the pair, a Spoink bounced obviously trying to attract the Jollaby's attention but to no avail.

As blue eyes had started to come down again, Felis startled for a brief moment upon seeing the Garchomp. If he hadn't known better and if he hadn't recognized the distinctive difference between male and female, Felis would almost have thought he was looking into the face of Beth, his own gentle natured Garchomp. However, he did recognize the differences and simply nodded slowly to him in a return greeting. As Xavier spoke, Felis looked back at him trying to offer up a slight smile but still finding his mood far from the best considering everything. The quick hug was surprising but a gentle smile came to Felis's lips after that, and he hugged back after a moment. "I......I know. It just seems that wherever I go, I'm reminded that things aren't right." He shook his head a bit before falling into silence even as Xav pulled away. Felis hesitated a moment looking at the dragon pokemon before climbing on the back behind Xav. Wrapping one arm around his waist as they started up, Felis looked downwards watching the world shrink below. As they finally came up out of the cage again, the sounds of crying hit Felis's ears, and he found himself looking around for the source of it. Sliding off Ace, he took a few steps before catching sight of the Jollaby and the Eevee before finally noticing the Spoink as well. Jollaby was a... baby pokemon. Blue eyes shifted around looking for the mother... or possibly a father? that he was sure must have been around somewhere. However, not seeing a parent in sight, he frowned and looked back towards Xavier before making a motion and heading over to the Jollaby rather slowly. "Hey...hey what's wrong?" he asked bending down to the small pokemon. [/scrolly]
