Training In the Snow [Caden]

"It's really pretty isn't it? I think the Duke's Roserade sculpted everything... he's really cool... if kinda scary...." Jayme mumbled this last part rather quietly remembering the few times he had been harassed by Rosie. That... was really scary... really... Walking towards the front door, Jayme turned after a moment and headed towards the side of the castle where a hew small shed could be seen. Setting the logs down there, Jayme brushed the extra wood off his hands. "There..." he sighed quietly. [/scrolly]

"It must have taken forever for it to look like this." Caden says as he looks over at Jayme. Luckily, he missed the last part of what Jayme said. He followed the boy into the castle and to the shed. He sat the wood down and was relieved to find the stress of the weight to be gone. He dusted the little chips that remained on his hands off and seemed to be satisfied with the amount he was able to carry. He actually helped Jayme! This made him feel a little bit better. "This way," he smiled a bit more feeling quite refreshed now that they were doing something more than thinking about... that yeah... Taking Caden's hand after a moment of hesitation, Jayme slowly led him towards the front door before hesitating a little. Taking hold of the door knob, Jayme pushed inwards and entered the castle. It was becoming his home anyways so.... yeah.. Upon entering, Jayme felt a blast of warm air and couldn't help but breathe it in and relax a lot. It was so much warmer in here.... Looking around the main entrance way, Jayme grinned towards Caden. "It's so cool isn't it?" he asked with a cheesy grin. [/scrolly]

He was instantly met with a warm gust of air that made the slight shivering start to stop. Caden had a tiny smile on as he looked over at Jayme. "This.. castle. It's so amazing. I haven't been in one before. They have it so warm in here! I have been stuck out in the cold for a while. Caden tells Jayme with more enthusiasm than he had given before. He was getting happier now as he started to forget about that stupid day. It was good that he did, since he really didn't want to upset Jayme by being such a downer. [/scrolly]

"Stuck outside?" the boy asked looking back downwards and then sideways confusedly at Caden after a moment. That wasn't fun.... he couldn't imagine being forced to live outside especially in cold like this..... He probably would have asked why Caden didn't go home, but he had a feeling that the artist notion had something to do with it. [/scrolly]

"I have stayed in little places as I go, but I mean, I haven't stayed anywhere long. It's a nice change. It's way too cold for me to stay out there now.." Caden tells Jayme while he walked with him. He really didn't mind too much though. He did like the cold, but not when it got this cold. He drew the line when it was this bad. However, he was glad that he would be able to spend some time here with Jayme. This wasn't Jayme's castle though, so he had no idea how long he'd actually be here. Hopefully nobody would be mad about him being here. [/scrolly]

As they finally reached the kitchen, Jayme found himself stopping in the door way as he caught sight of none other than Duke Rossi himself. Standing there a moment, the pink haired boy stared for a few seconds before stepping out of it slightly and rubbing the back of his head before stepping inside a bit more. "H-hello Duke Rossi..." Jayme said rather tentatively.

Felis, meanwhile, was distracted by his latest batch of cookies coming out of the oven to realize that someone had entered. However, upon being addressed, the blond haired man looked sideways from where he was and stared. Oh, Jayme. "Well hello there," Felis smiled as his blue eyes scanned over Jayme's face and then towards -- a friend? Raising his eyebrow, Felis smiled gently and pulled the pan of cookies from the oven finally before setting them on the island in the middle of the kitchen. "Please, dear Jayme, for the last time, call me Felis," the blond laughed slightly as he then looked towards Caden. "And I see you brought a friend? Who is this?" Felis hummed.

Upon being addressed, Jayme physically relaxed and nodded his head walking further into the kitchen now. "Right... sorry... Felis... this is my friend, Caden... we met a long time ago... and well ran into each other outside... Caden... this is.. Felis... Duke of the Eastern Woods..." Jayme mumbled slightly. It was odd, really, to have see the Duke baking cookies where as Jayme had always imagined they did more regal things, but there Felis was, regardless.

It smelled so good that Caden had to know what it was. Upon turning to go into the kitchen, he saw a blond haired male baking cookies. Caden wondered why Jayme was suddenly being so nervous, but then he finally brought the thought back up about this being somebody else's castle. Was this the duke? Why was he cooking cookies? Didn't he have a butler or chef for that? Caden noticed the man's eyes targeted onto himself, and he found himself wanting to just leave. He was just a commoner and a child! He wasn't ready to be up in front of a Duke like they were equals. Caden could hardly find his voice, but when he did, he managed to attempt saying thing. "U-uh.. uh... I-I'm Caden.." the young boy starts to say just to realize Jay had already said that. "Um.. I'm sorry! It's nice to meet you.." Caden says rather nervously. He heard the Eastern Duke was nice, but he hadn't ever talked to him face to face. He was so scared of the man that he would rather kick himself out now, rather than have the embarrassment of the others doing it to him. [/scrolly]

Felis nodded at the two boys quietly as he looked over Caden again. He looked about Jayme's age, and that rather interesting expression the boy was wearing only caused Felis to grin a little. "Welcome then, Caden," the blond laughed rubbing the back of his head easily. "If I had known you were coming, I could have started the cookies a bit earlier, heh." Felis slowly stepped forwards and made a rather dramatic bow to Caden before producing a rose from somewhere on his person. "As you probably noted, I am Feliciano Rossi, Duke of the Eastern Woods," he hummed softly handing the rose to Caden before standing up again.

Jayme blinked a little at Felis's motions before a nervous laugh worked its way up out of the young man. "Hey, uh... Felis... why were you making cookies?" Jayme asked after a moment of hesitation. Really it sounded great to have a few hot cookies just out of the oven, but ...hu...?

Felis laughed a little in response to Jayme. "Tis the season," was all he answered back. "And they're chocolate chip. Care to try one?" he asked after a moment.

[Caden Bunny]

Caden continued to stare at Felis. DX He was so nervous that he could hardly even process things. Caden felt a bit better when Felis bowed and handed him a rose. Did he always have roses? Caden wasn't sure why Felis was giving it to him.. but he slowly retch out and took it. "T-thank you.. " Caden mumbles. He wished he knew what to call Felis. He wasn't an equal, so Felis would be too rude, wouldn't it? Caden's eyes were practically spirals as he contemplated this. He was offered a cookie, but he didn't give a reply, but he suddenly saw another man behind him.

"Felis, are the cookies done? ._. I think Rosa wants one.. or two." Tai says, trying to act like a good butler, but really just wanting to get cookies to share with Rosa. He looked down to see Caden staring at him. Uh... was there something on his face? Tai was just staring back for a moment without either of them talking. Suddenly Tai's excitement broke through. "Hello! I'm Tai, Felis's butler! And you are?" Tai asks the brown haired boy. "Uh.. Caden." he mumbles.

Tai frowned a bit and looked at Felis. "Oh yeah. ._. I just kinda let myself in. Tim didn't come with me yet. He wanted to spend a little bit more time with our family. Tom got sick and with his broken leg... Yeah. The doctors said he's pulling through it now. Since we're triplets, we had to make sure he was going to be okay. I'm sorry for being gone." Tai tells Felis after walking past the kids since the nervous brown one bummed him out a little bit.

[Jay]

Felis had paled when the sound of someone behind him vibrated in his ears. However, when he realized who it was, the blond haired man smiled and sighed a little. Ah, Tai... Rosa? Had he already been to see her already too? Felis hadn't even seen Tai come in.... Sigh... If someone could just walk in... maybe Felis really did need some more security in the castle... After a few moments, Felis sighed and looked towards Tai. "It's alright," he smiled towards Tai though his voice held a slightly odd tone to it now. "Family comes first, after all.... and ... well they're cooling... you could try and take a few, but they're hot," he warned looking a little stern about this before smiling slightly. "Oh right..boys, this is Rosa's butler..." he smiled after a moment.

Jayme physically did jump when the man suddenly appeared, yet when it seemed that it was just a butler, he sighed and deflated a little into a smile. "Oh...." he mumbled quietly never having really seen the butler before. "H-hello.....My name is J-Jayme," he said bowing slightly towards Tai.

Tai looked over at Jayme and seemed a little bit sad. "Kids used to be full of spirit when I was younger.. why are they so nervous now." Tai mumbles to himself. He looked at the cookies and decided to try taking them to Rosa. He picked them up and instantly felt the burning food on his skin. He then took off quickly, hoping to get them to Rosa before he would drop them or burn his hands off.

Caden was left there, staring at them. Why did they act so weird? A Duke was baking cookies.. a butler was addressing him just like normal... ._. Triplets? Caden was so confused now. He couldn't act like normal with so many people running around.

[Jay]

Felis watched as Tai scuttled away off to Rosa's room or wherever the girl was before looking back at Jayme and Caden again before smiling. "But yes, now was there anything you needed at the moment?" he asked smiling slightly.

Jayme looked towards Caden and set a hand on his shoulder reassuringly before looking back as Felis addressed them both. "Well... since the cookies are cooling... could we have some and then maybe some milk or something?" he asked hesitantly.

Felis just smiled and made to bow again. "Of course, of course," he answered back before walking to the refrigerator and pulling the door open. Taking out a milk carton, Felis set it on the island again and reached up to a cabinet and pulled out two glasses. "Why so quiet, Caden?" Felis asked looking sideways at the boy.

He'd let Jayme talk until Felis was gone. He was doing this pretty well for a little while, but he was suddenly called out by Felis. "Uh.. u-uh... I... am just sorta uh.. nervous.. um. I'm sorry!" Caden was practically screaming at his inner self for being so dumb just because of one noble! T_T "I... would usually be more.. uh.. talkative.. but.. I'm sorry." Caden suddenly spoke. He just made it worse by saying that. Caden suddenly facepalmed. He was acting so dumb! Even with Jayme's hand on his shoulder, he still felt so nervous. [/scrolly]

Felis blinked slightly at Caden but then slowly smiled and shook his head. "Now now, there's nothing to be nervous about... how about you take some cookies and go play with Rosa... or if you need to train, maybe go talk with Miguel," Felis smiled lightly. Jayme slowly smiled back before taking up a few of the cookies. They had cooled since then. Meanwhile, Felis had poured to glasses of milk and held them forward to each boy. "Hahha looks like I'll have to make some more~" Felis sang lightly to himself. Ah, this was a good brake from all that paperwork he had been doing~

Jayme smiled and took the glass in his free hand before taking a sip. "Could we uh... wander around the castle too? Caden's never been in one before, and I wanted to show him around," the pink haired boy smiled. The blond haired man in turn smiled back and nodded his head.

"But of course~ Just stay out of the private rooms, you here?" he warned before laughing lightly and turning back to a bar and starting to make some more cookies. Jayme made a motion to Caden and then started to walk out of the kitchen.

Well.. that did make him feel a little better. So far, Felis didn't seem that bad of a guy. "Thank you." Caden says with a slight nod. If only he weren't so nervous.. maybe he could have made a better impression. Caden smiled as he moved forward to take his milk and cookies for himself. They smelled so good! Not only were they cookies that Caden hadn't had in a while, but they were from a noble. They must have been made with better ingredients than he would normally find. Caden happily walked away with Jayme after they were done talking. He was eating a cookie as they went, and couldn't believe how good they were. "I-I'm sorry I froze up. I've never met a noble and I didn't know if he was mean or not.. I'm sorry." Caden says with a bit of a sigh. There he was constantly apologizing again. [/scrolly]

"I know how it is," he smiled a little sheepishly before shaking his head. "When I first met him, I was a little scared too, but he's really nice...." Jayme asserted nodding his head as he said this. Walking down the hallway, Jayme took a left and started towards the ballroom. That would be one of the cooler areas that was for sure! Taking a bite of his cookie and drinking a bit of milk as he went, Jayme stopped at a door and turned there. "Here we go," he smiled lightly before slowly opening the door. Within was a large room, simple but elegant in design. "This is one of the ball rooms... it's so pretty isn't it?" Jayme grinned looking sideawys at Caden. [/scrolly]

Felis was extremely scary at first, since I was coming into his home uninvited by him, but he didn't seem like he was the kind to just kill you for no reason. He felt a bit better now, and simply grinned as he nodded. Once the door was opened, he was stunned at the room. Every single room was so pretty! He wished his house could have been like this. He took a step in and found himself looking all around over the room. "Whoaaaaaa! How can they, even if they are a noble, afford to make rooms like this? This is probably one room out of fifty! It's so amazing!" Caden blurts out rather excitedly as he eats a little bit more of his cookie. He couldn't believe how good this place looked. [/scrolly]

"I dunno... they just have.... such a big castle," he answered back. Honestly, he just couldn't hold back a grin. "But... I think it's been around a long time..." he said as he slowed down again and stood still now. "Elayne showed me around once, and I just couldn't keep up with where everything was... but.. I know the bigger areas at least," he smiled before eating a bit more of his cookie. [/scrolly]

He looked around it one last time time before looking at Jayme who began to speak. "I'd never know my way around tihs place. It's so confusing. At least you know your way around ^_^ It must be fun getting to stay in a place like this." Caden says rather happily as he listened to what the boy would say next. He was still eating his cookies and drinking some milk. Mmmmm it was good. [/scrolly]
