\o/ WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~~~ So today marks ONE WHOLE YEAR since VC was opened for business. To celebrate this TOTAL AWEZOMENESS, you guys get a two-part prize~<3

First of all, many of you have seen by now (|D especially as for those I didn't think would mind much and who I could think of in my quarter-conscious state at 6am this morning, I may have abused my admin powarz to force your skin to this so you'd see it when you first logged on<3) there is a totally awesome (<< RIGHT?) new skin. xP I did my best to take into account everyone's favorite things about the most popular other skins:
essentially, it's a mix of color scheme between Haunted and Darkness (I figured dark + blue and a hot-colored font would be kind of Night Stalkers-y too), in a darkish-but-not-too-dark skin with even darker font to avoid bright contrast in normal reading, with a little touch of red for Jay and to create just enough contrast for a kind of Mind Crush feel (technically Mind Crush is also blue and purple, if way different shades) and actually the same background as it as well, just hue-shifted to go with the color scheme. X3 ... SG actually worked way more days than you'd imagine trying to get the colors on this thing just right. XP And then of course there are cake and candles that I just found on photobucket and altered slightly for different uses (old vs new etc) and recolored the cake but yeah.

BUT HEY YEAH WAAAAY FUCKING COOLER than the skin is ITS BANNER!<3 Kero and I worked long and hard and took a few more hours to finish than we'd hoped, but we haz had it made~ X3 'Tis VC as Pokeymanz enjoying a party. Now, take no offense if you weren't included! We would have liked to have more people, but there's only so much room of course. We especially wanted to include Karma and I wanted Ezio, but we couldn't think of anything to make them and couldn't seem to catch/find them to ask, as was the issue with several others considered. x3 So yeah, mostly it's the staff and a mixture of some of the oldest, the most active and/or popular, and the lulziest members. (For instance, Kitsunaii is only occasionally active, but she's at least somewhat popular and how could we resist adding THAT face? X'3) Also, the focus doesn't mean much, nor does positioning aside from just where people would fit unless specified. x3 Mostly it was all Staff at the table (except Flora in the background slightly due to inactivity) plus two of our oldest still-active members. But yeh. Just a little fun anyway~ X3

Because I know you're all wondering, I'm gonna delay the promo info EVEN MORE by telling you all about the banner~ As mentioned, Kero and I collabbed on this. x3 She totally did most of the real work. But yeah. She started off by doing some rough lines of a few, and then I took over doodling total crap versions of most everyone real quick to set general poses, character designs, and arrangements. (Those not drawn at least had a written thing. x3) Then Kero drew almost everyone, usually following my general design/pose with just cleaner lines and much better anatomy/proportions, though a few were drastically changed and a few she did from scratch. Then I altered some of her lines in places and did flat colors on most of them, and then better coloring was kind of split. x3 She did more but I did a lot of the larger ones, so yeh. 8'3 BUT YEAH, so I'll just tell you who everyone is and who did what. X3 Running from top to bottom, left to right, roughly. Note that Kero did touch/clean up a few of my lines a little and I don't know exactly where, but yeah so you know that that is a factor.

WINDCHIME: Ninetales/Chimecho, because her favorite Pokemon is Ninetales, and Chimecho is a rough chime, and the combo justified many chime tails, to essentially make it a big fluffy windchime. x3

RYUU: Ryu means dragon (Ryuujin is the Dragon King actually), and Akira has a Shadow Dragonite. XP So we made it chibi for fun and a ghost to poke fun at her inactivity. ... xD Of COURSE she returns this fucking morning and ruins the joke, but we're glad to have her back.

NICODEMUS: Because her banner/avatar/favorite Pokemon is a Raichu. The bandanna just seemed to fit and made it a little less "hi I'm plain". x3

FLORAMEI: Serperior/Sunflora. One of her very favorite Pokemon spliced with another she likes enough that includes her name. XP Also, when Snivy was released we died saying it was PokeFlora due to the species and color scheme. Awesome/troll face because it's Flora. X3 *SHOT* Kind of close to SG cuz she be mah bestie.

JAY: Torchic/Articuno, with the color scheme of all staff colors because Jay likes them and she's like all the staff jobs/has literally been every rank. x3 Torchic because it's a bird and her favorite is Blaziken, and Articuno because it's a legendary blue bird. Also, sitting on SG's head because Jay sits on heads (and SG didn't want to share her). XP

X'3 We considered things like Skitty, but MC really isn't catty at all and rodents didn't really fit. XD But yeah. Dogs are ridiculously stubborn and not always the brightest but ungodly loyal and generally lovable. X'3 And it was perfect<3

The original had Masquerain wings and then she said she'd really prefer Pidgeot's prolly, but it ended up being too hard to fit any with the Delcatty neckpiece being so big and the close quarters, but ah well. ELAYNE: XP Deerling/Togetic, because Elayne is just an innocent adorable deer, and said she always gets Togetic on Pokemon quizzes. It was originally going to have Togetic markings too but it devolved into just the wing, ironically before shading. Purple because she loves it and pink because Shiny Deerling are and it goes well with purple and the general "adorable sweet" theme. x3

COLOR: 8U SG~~ I AM SO PROUD OF HER I CAN'T EVEN. Like. Elayne was the third thing I colored. And Kero explained some shading tips to me and I understood them, but doing Jay and myself (Jay actually being first) it was just like "ah yeah this is kind of working". And then I colored Elayne, and it was just like "8U I AM GOING TO BE ORGASMIC NOW FOR NO REASON". And looking at the finished result I was like.... 8U OH. THAT'S how you shade!<3 XD And went back and touched up the others, but I don't think anything else I did got nearly as good as Elayne's purple. x'3

SG: X3 Suicune/Vulpix-or-Ninetales-I'm-not-even-sure-anymore, my PokeSona since I was 12 and half the reason SG is SG (originally SuicuneGirl). Also the very first Original Character I had that wasn't a Pokemon or character in my games, or at least the first I can remember. x3

Ability: Telepathy
Personality: This Ralts is very tiny compared to most of his species. Due to his size, he tends to lack a bit in speed and strength. However, what he lacks in those two area’s he makes up for in his intelligence. Some almost believe he is too intelligent for his own good. He is able to read and write and tends to be able to remember everything he learns. On the down side, he also believes that because he is commonly smarter than others, he is better than them. This often causes him to look down upon others or hate them just because he thinks he is better than them. He also rarely seems happy unless he is studying something.

Gender: Male
Ability: Flash Fire
Personality: This fire type is very energetic and playful like most common Growlithe’s are. Though at times he can be a little needy and will often ask to be held even if he is too heavy. He will even go as far as to whine and sulk until someone holds him. For some reason this pretty little guy can tell what the weather is going to be like. Most often one can tell what the whether is going to be like by his actions. If it’s going to rain, he will refuse to come outside. If’s going to be sunny, he wants out to play. Snow? Yes, he even goes as far as finding your coat for you.

Species: Eevee
Gender: Male
Ability: Anticipation
Personality: Easily excitable and always on the move, this little Eevee cannot sit still for long periods of time without growing edgy as a result. He relishes battle and loves to prove that he is strong by any means. However, he doesn't approve of other types of violence and sees anything else outside of sport to be barbaric and uncivilized. He's a bit overbearing towards people but generally has good intentions.

Gender: Female
Ability: Run Away
Personality: A very large, muscular Ponyta compared to most. He is all about over powering his opponent’s even when they don’t want to fight. He does have a loving side to him, though. The only problem is, he doesn’t seem to realize his own strength. Most often he ends up squishing the person or creature he is showing affection to by rubbing up on or pushing them over.

Ability: Pressure
Personality: This elder pokemon has a very strong love for the colour pink. He both loves and is jealous of pokemon who have the natural pink skin tone. He absolutely loves pink food, even if it doesn’t taste good. He drools over people wearing the colour pink and he collects just about any pink objects he can he get his ghostly hands on. Aside from that he is a generally happy pokemon who very rarely gets upsets or angry.

Species: Torchic
Gender: Female
Ability: Speed Boost
Personality: This tiny girl seems to always look sleepy. She is always yawning even when not tired and tends to only keep her eyes half open. She also has very low energy compared to most Trochic’s. She is very good at finding soft objects though. Anything from fluffy pillows, to furry bugs and squishy jelly. Due to her ability to seek out anything soft, she tends to almost always have something held in her foot.

Species: Deino
Gender: Female
Ability: Hustle
Personality: This Deino was once owned by another trainer who had apparently abused the poor girl. Luckily she was saved by another human, but not before she lost her left eye. A specially made eye patch was made for her and she was raised by a better trainer until that trainer finally passed away. Now, she is a tad skittish towards her new trainer, but will often calm down if her name is called out softly. She tries very hard in pokemon battles and has even learned tricks to deal with her weakness of only one eye.

Ability: Flash Fire
Personality: This nerdy fire pokemon loves anything spooky and sci-fi. On top of that, she absolutely loves to tell creepy stories! Sometimes she will even start telling one to herself. If she spots places that look creepy or adventurous, she will run off to check them out. Yet when it comes down to it, she never seems to have the physical strength to explore for too long without having someone to help her or to take a rest. She also somehow discovered comic books and will insist that her trainer buys her new ones each and every week. Most of her commonly picked comics lean towards the darker hero’s and sci-fi fantasy.

Species: Petilil
Gender: Female
Ability: Chlorophyll
Personality: The little grass type can be very cranky and irritable most of the time. She absolutely hates when people repeat things they’ve asked or said before. She also hates any form of swearing or profanity. When someone says or does something she doesn’t like, she will spend hours lecturing them about it until they either give in or leave. When she does decide she likes someone, though, she can be very sweet and helpful towards them. They tend to be one of the few people they treat as equals.

Gender: Male
Ability: Contrary
Personality: Snivy is a very clam and quiet grass type most of the time. The only time he does seem to speak up is when he believes someone has done something to cause bad or good luck. He is extremely super specious and refuses to do anything that may give him bad luck. He also very strongly believes in karma. When there is no threat of bad luck around, he tends to become very easy to talk to. This often causes many pokemon and even people to tell him all of their issues and problems.

Gender: Male
Ability: Swift Swim
Personality: He is a very quiet yet playful water type. He loves to swim around and play when ever he gets the chance to. When there isn’t enough room to swim around too much he will blow bubbles to amuse himself and anyone else around. He doesn’t really like battling but will do so if his trainer really, really wants him to. He tends to complain or act somewhat lazy when forced to battle though. The only times he ever seems to want to battle is when he is protecting something he cares about.

Personality: This ancient pokemon is rather slow moving and slow talking. She seems to have an infinite amount of information locked up in her head but trying to get her to spill out his words can take hours. She has a tendency to often forget short term memories but can recall long term memories in a heart beat. She is a difficult opponent to most of her enemies purely because her actions and attacks are often hard to predict. She can look like she’s going to attack with an Aqua Jet attack and then suddenly she’ll use Hydro pump instead. When it comes to others she is often friendly towards them in an almost, grandmother sort of way.

Personality: Lighthearted, whimsical, and a tad airy, this Galvantula doesn't worry too much about anything in life and is a 'go with the flow' kind of guy in all instances. He can be a bit snark-tastic at times and is not above making crude comments when they suit him, yet he is almost always wearing a smile regardless.

Ability: Inner Focus
Personality: This fast and brave creature believes he is a super hero. On top of that, he believes that absolutely nothing can kill him. A slap across the face? No problem? Chop off an arm? Stab in the chest? No problem! Chop off an arm? Ha! He’s too great for that to happen! He does have a very high ego and believes that everyone should wish they were him. The only times he doesn’t seem to be thinking about himself is when he is thinking of cheesecake. He absolutely loves cheesecake. For some odd reason he believes he has a weakness to water stones and will latterly lay down on the ground in crippling manner if one is near him.

Ability: Female
Personality: A pokemon who appears to be very slow thinking and not all too bright. That’s actually the opposite. Her mind is going so fast that most of the time it’s moving too fast for her to comer hand right away and therefore she stays quiet and says nothing at all. Sometimes she will even make dd faces when she discovers things in her mind that most people wouldn’t think of. Because of her extremely knowledgeable head, she greatly wishes to evolve someday so that her body and mind can keep up with her thoughts and process things properly.

Gender: Female
Ability: Own Tempo
Personality: This Slowpoke is often depressed for one reason or another, and when there is nothing at the moment to be sad about, she will almost always retract to complaining about her appearance. She has a scar on her right shoulder that leads down the front of her and onto her chest, and though she refuses to tell exactly what happened to her, she doesn't seem to mind crying to anyone about how ugly it looks. She has a scarf that she wears apparently a gift from a previous trainer or maybe just a friend (it's hard to tell which given that she often changes her story), and she uses it as best she can to hide her scar. Once one gets past her somewhat emotional exterior, he will find a quiet pokemon wishing desperately to be loved and accepted by anyone or anything.

Personality: This Pokemon is very absorbed in his appearance, and a feather is never out of place. He will do anything to attract a pretty girl, and doesn't take no for an answer. He loves to battle, and listens to his trainer; however, if he gets dirty, he will stop in mid battle to groom himself. Also has a strange fascination for the color purple.

Gender: Male
Ability: Illusion
Personality: This Pokemon is very quiet and to himself most of the time. Antisocial, it's not that he hates others, he's just extremely shy, and will often hide behind his trainer when meeting someone new. A very thoughtful individual, he listens to his trainer, and will battle. But if he thinks his trainer isn't making a good call, he will do what he thinks is best. Around others, he doesn't say too much, but he's very friendly unless provoked.

Personality: A rather slick pokemon, this Krookodile enjoys messing with people often twisting around their words to fit his own personal meanings and somehow managing to steal things from them while he's at it. He'll be social if there is something to gain form someone but doesn't generally put making friends on his highest priority list. He does, however, rspect his trainer deeply for a somewhat vague reason and will generally do what is asked of him becuase of it.

Personality: A bit of a 'rough around the edges' girl with a genuine good heart when it comes down to it, this Mamoswine talks with complete honesty (and a bit of a classic southern accent ironically). She's a hardcore feminist and believes females are far superior to men , and possibly because of this, she is prone to being extremely nice towards females and rather heartless towards males. She is tone deaf but believes she has a lovely singing voice and likes to sing to anyone who will listen.

Personality: Social, spiritual, and in tune with nearly everything around her, this electrical seems extremely sensitive to the electromagnetic waves around her, yet she feels in harmony with said waves and believes that she can tell the balance of the universe by reading them. She also believes she can tell the future by this method (though whether she actually can or not is up for debate. She gets along well with most and doesn't seem to have any sort of sadistic tendencies.
