Burning On the Inside [Mod]

The weather was quite pleasant though being spring-ish certainly helped things. The waters were calm, the sky was docile, and all was well. With all that being said, Salem Smith was not too well. Though he tried to avoid the subject that had actually brought him out to the island, he found himself seething over it just a little. Leaving out the details, the reason he was now standing on his Kingdra's back and having the large water type take him to the island that was right in front of them could easily be summed up with a wish to go pokemon hunting.

He had heard that the island featured a varying amount of fire and electric types, but there were only a few that he truly wanted out of what he had heard. However, beating up on some weaker ones could probably train his pokemon in the process. In Salem's arms, a rather small electrical cat could be seen staring out at the scene before her. Tyme couldn't wait to start fighting. Unlike her trainer, she relished battle and dreamed of one day making it to the legendary Luxray stage. Until that time, she would settle for getting stronger and working towards that goal.

As they finally reached land, Salem stepped off his Kingdra and returned Eon without a second word. "Alright Tyme.. let's see what there is, shall we?" the silver haired man asked. His cat simply hopped down from his arms and nodded her head smirking mischievously as she went.

Making several plopping sounds was a lone Chinchou that seemed to be walking around the island looking for something. Although what that something was was yet to be clear. Further along the shore was a Mareep that seemed to be attempting to touch it's tail to the water but seemed to be getting electrocuted...it didn't seem like a very smart pokemon ._.;

Further away from Salem though there could be seen the faint outline of some sort of bipedal creature standing on top of a rock just looking up at the sun. Other then these Pokemon there was nothing out of the ordinary.

It was as he caught sight of the faint outline in the distance that the well dressed man found himself interested -if only because even as he squinted he couldn't tell what exactly it was. Meanwhile, his Shinx was slowly pawing over to the Mareep wondering what exactly it was doing. However, Salem's foot steps caused her to look sideways towards her trainer and then in the direction he was walking. Seeing the outline as well, the huntress seemed to grin before quickly taking several leaps towards it, whatever it was. [/scrolly]

From Salem and his Shinx's attempts to get closer it soon became apparent that the figure standing on the rock facing the sun was a larger than average Krokorok. Even noticing the two out of the corner of it's eye the large bipedal Croc pokemon didn't move an inch. It didn't seem to be doing anything in particular but rather was just enjoying the sun. Being a Ground Type it had little to fear when around Electric and Fire types. If the human was to attack..it would fight back. But if it was going to leave him alone..that was fine too.

Though it wasn't in its fully evolved form, it was still a second evolution pokemon as well as a Ground type... As much as it wasn't in his actual nature to train any longer, he would have to to get a certain person off his back. "Tyme use Magnet Rise," he stated flatly. The Shinx blinked a moment, not used to receiving direct orders but complying if only because he had surprised her. "Good girl... Now Signal Beam," was the order. The small cat smirked a toothy smile before forming the Bug attack in her mouth and releasing it with a 'ha!' sound shortly after. [/scrolly]

The Krokorok saw the Human begin it's attack and give a very audible sigh. He simply watched as the Shinx fired off the Signal Beam which resulted in a critical hit and....uh-oh...

The Krokorok than began to glow a bright red color and it's eyes suddenly be had their pupils shrunk as it leaped down from the rock and made a loud cracking sound on the earth and in very clear english said "You shouldn't have done that." It then used Rock Slide which cause huge boulders (Bigger than normal ones) to come from the sky and began to fall everywhere. The Krokorok itself formed a Protect around it and waited for the human and Shinx to be crushed to death. So he could leave peacefully.

For a brief moment, Salem just stared in disbelief. Meanwhile, a rock falling from the sky would have probably hit him if Tyme's head hadn't jutted over to her trainer in a half second. Forming a Tackle, she made to knock her trainer out of the way and herself back as the rock that had threatened to hit them hit the sand instead. Falling backwards, Salem landed rather hard and flinched a little obviously irritated. However, Tyme's attention was on avoiding the rest of the rocks which she did so rather admirably. Managing to avoid most of them with a few minor exceptions, the Shinx came out with a bit of damage but not much. The fact that it wasn't super effective did help things. Forming an Ice Fang Tyme charged straight towards the Krokorok and made to bite down on him. [/scrolly]

As if knowing the next move was supposed to be super effective the Krokorok countered with it's own Fire Fang which would hopefully cancel out (If not overcome) the Ice Fang due to his evolutionary strengths and boosted Strength from the attack of the Shinx. He didn't seem like he was actually trying to win the battle just yet..which was odd ._.

While still close in, she flipped sideways and unleashed a Double Kick on the Krokorok using her hind legs in the process. Salem, meanwhile, was forcing himself back up and dusting off his tattered clothes. [/scrolly]

As the Double Kick came the Krokorok simply waited for the attack to land and then once it hit him he cringed for a second before quickly retaliating with a Counter which would hit the Shinx pretty darn hard.

Salem flinched but waited to see if his sweet Tyme would get up or not. "Tyme?" was the question asked. Meanwhile, the little kitten was more than just angry. She was angry and in pain, and there was no way she was going to let this wild pokemon get the best of her! No how now way! Shoving herself up, she growled deeply in her throat. Suddenly the small cat seemed to glow and then grow taking on the form of a Luxio then and there. Roaring with new found energy, the electrical cat formed a more powerful Signal beam and shot it at the other pokemon. Well now... the silver haired man thought to himself in approval. [/scrolly]

[VEGETA]

The Krokorok had a visibly annoyed look on his face. He couldn't waste time with these two here..so seeing the evolution in front of him (in a similar manner to his own) he quickly formed a Dig and managed to narrowly dodge the Signal Beam and procedded to head farther into the island. Unless giving chase it seemed the Croc Pokemon was a lost cause..

"Don't go underground," was the statement that was given, and after a second or two, the cat looked back and frowned a little before turning her head back and staring at the hole. He had to come up sometime, right? However, as seconds turned to minutes, Tyme hissed upon realizing that her battle was done. Looking sharply at Salem who sighed a little as it seemed the Croc had vanished, she growled a little and shook her head before padding back over to him. They were going to hunt down that Krokorok right? Salem, meanwhile, was already eyeing the rest of the area for different pokemon. Upon seeing his feline's distress, he smiled a little and brought a hand down to her head. "There's bigger fish to fry," he hummed before making a hand gesture and starting to walk. The Luxio hissed, sighed, and followed. [/scrolly]

Ahead of Salem there was a Pichu above them that had been watching the whole battle/evolution and once she saw them coming she began to run off in the opposite direction. On the ground about 30 feet away was some sort of Snake like pokemon that seemed to just be lying there. It couldn't be told if it was breathing or just resting but..it was there.

To the left of Salem's vision was a Charmander that was walking around nervously ducking behind rocks and other objects seemingly scared of something. It then looked at the ground and jumped about a good five feet in the air and began to run away from the spot it was at.

Surprisngly next to Salem there was a twirling figure that had suddenly appeared and was dancing around him and Tyme. Looking at this figure it could confirmed as a Kirlia...which was odd since they were not found around here...

Midnight would certainly tear its head off if Tyme didn't. Thankfully, the Luxio was too busy being distracted by the snake pokemom. Her inner feline had shown interest in the creature, and thus she had padded over to it and began to bat at it wondering if it would move. The sudden appearance of the Kirlia caught Salem off guard, and for a brief moment, he stepped back trying to avoid the twirling pokemon. There was something about it - was that thing ... could that thing possibly be male? No it had to be female right? Right- that caught Salem's eye. Maybe... why yes it reminded him of the dancing he had done back long ago....."Hm... you don't belong here.." he commented. [/scrolly]

The pokemon on the ground that was soon identified as an Eelektrik looked up at Tyme with a weak eye before it shut it again. It seemed to be in pain or at least very weak so..It didn't seem like it even cared that it could be eaten by this cat. It's cheeks (If you could say it had cheeks) were flushed and it looked pretty skinny even for an Electric Fish pokemon. It simply layed in the sun waiting for...death apparently..how morbid. ._.;

The Kirlia continued to spin until it heard Salem's voice in it's ear. It suddenly stopped spinning and then looked up at him before smiling and then looked around before......It gave a sort of comical, shocked face fault as it looked around at it's surrondings and seemed very confused. It then kinda looked at Salem and focused for a second before a voice clear as day came into his head saying <Umm..Where am I?> it simply had stopped dancing and twirling at this point and looked concerned.

The ringing of a female voice in his head caused Salem's bottom eyelid to twitch, and for a brief moment, he stood there once again in horror. What the hell was up with this island and talking pokemon? Leave the matter be that it was a psychic -that she was a psychic. He was sure it was female now that he had heard the voice, but... "Glass Island..." he replied forcing a weaker smile than intended as he managed to snag back his composure. [/scrolly]

The Eelektrik simply layed there once more and looked weakly up at the Luxio. How could a pokemon want to fight someone in his condition? He simply sighed and tried to move himself upright but flopped over helplessly..this was going to go nowhere it seemed..

The Kirlia saw how disturbed Salem was and being not only Psychic but empathetic she could read into his emotions easily. So she composed herself and instead of projecting her voice into his head simply made it audible but not loud as to not throw him off anymore. <Glass Island? In the Hoenn Region?> she asked with curiosity..it was obvious by the way she said it that she wasn't familiar with this area in the least bit.

Growling deep in her throat, she bent down, bit onto him with surprising gentleness, and started to walk back towards the water's edge. It didn't take her but a minute to get there, and upon doing so, she spat him out again into the water. Was that an act of kindness or... ? None could really be sure. The Kirlia's strives to make Salem a bit more comfortable were greatly appreciated when it came down to it despite the slight feeling of anxiety that was still present in him. As the Kirlia asked if she was in the Hoenn region, he blinked. That region was far away, wasn't it? "No, we're in Era... the Era Region," he explained finding it somewhat odd to say 'region' along with it. [/scrolly]

The Eelektrik squinted to the outside world as he found himself picked up by the Luxio. He simply stayed limp as she brought him over to the water and..dumped him in it!?! He suddenly flailed for a moment before he began to sink under the surface and didn't seem to come back up...any time soon. Uh-oh.. ._.

The Kirlia if not looking comically surprised before was outright shocked at this statement that Salem had said <Wha-What?!?> she exclaimed trying to keep herself calm but was definitely having a hard time doing so. She then spoke saying <Last place I remember was Lilycove City in the Hoenn Region...> in a seemingly unrelated question she then said <Does Era have Pokemon Contests?> looking up at Salem with visible sadness in her eyes.
