Finn walked along the beach, his fark face tilted back as he enjoyed the sun's rays. As a sailor, he lived for weather like this: a clear blue sky, strong breeze, and a spot of warm sunlight to keep the fish biting. The only thing that might perfect the occasion was a vessel on which to sail, but he wasn't going to be getting one of those unless he stole one. Plus, where was there to go? All the people, and more importantly their treasures, lay on land.
At his heels bounced a small and silvery fox. It's pale coat glittered in the light, making her appear like the waves that lapped against the beach. Her paws were completely caked in sand from pouncing on Krabby holes as they taunted her by popping out every now and again. One sharp smack of her paw sent them scuttling back to their burrows. The shiny Eevee was loving the beach as she trod next to her trainer, who was the only human she had ever known since hatching from his pocket.
Unlike most trainers, the pirate had no real special attachment to his pokemon. To him, they were merely partners in crime. They might work together, but each was really out for themselves. At least, this was how he viewed it, even though his pokemon had differing opinions on the subject. He could never be sure, though, and generally didn't trust that they might not leave him in a time of need. Only the ones he had hatched himself did he form a bond with, because he made up the majority of their lives, where else would they go? Having never known the wild, they couldn't possibly survive the perils of survival. There was no chance of them ever leaving, and so he smiled down at the rambunctious little Surru.
As he looked back up, he spotted the woman and her Charizard further along the beach. His smile disappeared off his face as if it had never been, and was replaced by an expression of contemplation. She didn't look threatening, but first glances were hard to make judgments by. A charizard, however, was a threat. It was out of it's element in the water-type atmosphere though, so he knew he'd have the upper hand if it came to a battle. With this in mind, he continued along his path as if nothing had changed. Adding a spring to his step and whistling a short tune, the pair eventually reached the log where the other trainer sat. Smiling, he stopped in front of it.
"Good morning! Aah...beautiful day for the beach, don't you agree?" He couldn't help but look up at the small, puffy clouds as they drifted lazily by. When he looked back down, however, he got a better look at the trainer. She appeared about his age, if not a tad younger, and clearly upset about something. This threw off his easy going appearance a bit, and he replaced it with a look of concern. "Oh, is something bothering you...? Is there anything I can do to help?" Finn never was the 'helpful' type, but it never hurt to have someone owe you a favor.

Cora did not notice Finn right away but Charzard did. When he came closer Charzard looked right at him but did not growl. But did give him a stern glare. If he bugged Cora in anyway he would not be to happy. Then he started to talk to her and he rolled his eyes. " What does this guy want.." he thought as he looked at the boy. Cora was deep in thought and did not notice Finn till he was right in front of her and spoke. Cora gasped in shock stood up and was going to try to take a few steps back but ended up tripping over the log and fell flat in her back. Charzard tried to catch Cora by her hand to keep her from falling. He then gave a sheepish smile and rubbed the back of his neck. Cora layed there for a few minutes as she got over her shock and glared up at her Charzard.
" You could have told me someone was coming!" She scolded glad she landed on soft sand and not on anything hard. " Heheh... Sorry." The Charzard said. Cora grumbled as she sat up and moved her legs off the log and folded them. She then started to get sand out of her long blond hair. With a side ways glance she looked at the boy who startled her. " Who are you? Did you want something?" She asked with a hint of a annoyed tone. She did not like being startled. And was already not in a very good mood.. Though when she saw the shiny Eeevee from the corner of her eye she gave a small smile thinking it was cute. Cora then looked back up at Finn with a slight frown and wanted for him to answer as she worked at getting sand out of her hair.

Finn stepped back a few paces, surprised to have startled her so greatly. Surru's ears flicked upward as she heard the girl hit the sand. Concerned, she lept up on the log and sniffed Cora's hand. When the trainer sat back up, her silvery eyes followed the movements of her hair with intense focus. overcome with her need to attack anything with shine, she pounced, flinging her small body through the air to bat at the bottom strands as sand was shaken out. Slightly embarressed for his pokemon, the trainer leaned over and sciooped up the squirming Eevee, who was ready for round two. Finn already felt awkward standing there, he didn't need the little fox to make it worse. Sitting down on the other side of the log with a sigh, he answered her questioning tone. "No, not especially in need of anything." His voice was flat as he stared out into the ocean. His nerves seemed to ebb away with the waves, and even Surru calmed her relentless squeaking as her trainer stroked her favorite spot between ehr ears. A slow sigh escaped her shout while her eyes closed in contentment. "Just being cordial," Finn continued, shrugging, then watching the pair out of the corner of his icy blue eyes. He couldn't help but wonder if she was always this unfriendly, or might just be having a bad day. With nothing better schedualed, however, it wouldn't bother him to find out.

Charzard looked at the little shiny Eevee and made a "x3" face. He loved small and cute Pokemon. Though most of them feared him when they saw him.. But due to the fact other Charzard's must be jerks.. Charzard then slowly sat down in the sand watching Finn closely. When the Eevee tried to play with Cora's hair, Cora smiled and even giggled a little. She then looked at Fiin again with a softer and more nicer look. " I see, but did you not answer my question. Who are you?" Cora asked again and stopped playing with her hair for the sand out out of it now. She was looking right at Finn with her hands in her lap. It was always best to know who you where talking to so Cora waited for him to answer as she studied him.
Just then one of her pokeballs opened on its own and out came Mudkip. She had heard the sounds of water and wanted to play. "Mudkip!!" the little water Pokemon cried out happily not even noticing Finn or his little Eevee. She then jumped over the log and ran over to the water. Though not going into the water she played where the water came up to her paws. "Mudkup mud mud!" She laughed happily. Cora blinked when her Pokemon did that and did a face palm and shook her head. "Mudkip.... Why did you come out of your ball??" Cora asked aloud but more to her self. But she smiled and looked over at her cute little Pokemon and watched it play. Charzard snickered at the sight of the little water Pokemon coming out of its ball. Mudkip was so cute.

Finn's eyes lit up at the sight of the Mudkip splashing, as he was an ever lvoer of water pokemon. For her to have one, especially one so rare, reversed his initial judgement made based on the Charizard. It was such a sturdy fire type, extremely powerful and vicious, that it would take a firey souled person to master one. But the Mudkip softened this vision a bit, coming out as if a signal for Finn to come out a bit too.
"My name is Finn." While he said this, he pulled a pokeball off his belt. He tapped the button with a dark finger, and in a beam appeared a Politoed. The green frog looked around curiously, but stood by his trainer until Finn waved him towards the water. In a few leaps he was splashing alongside the Mudkip, his wide mouth curved into a smile. "And you?" His clear eyes turned back to her in wait for an answer. Surru perked up at the sound of the others playing, but she wasn't eager to wash the sand off of her paws yet.

Cora nodded when the boy said his name was finn. She looked at her pokemon playing in the water and thought her other pokemon may like to play as well. so she took out some pokeballs and called out the rest of her team. Out came Treecho then Poochyena. The two blinked and looked around to see lots of sand and water. Poochyena blinked at the sea and wonderd what it was. He had never seen anything like it before So he then jumped over the log and made his way over to the water and started poking at it with his paw. When he touched it he shiverd and backed away and barked at the water. Treecko on the other hand did not really care for the sea. He walked over to the log and layed down on it. Closed his eyes and started to sun bathe.
Cora smiled at her beloved pokemon as they played. She could watch them for hours. She then looked at Finn when he asked who she was. " I'm Cora, nice to meet you Finn." She said looking at him for a moment then went back to watching her pokemon. She kinda wished Finn was not here though... She wanted to be alone to think.. And would not be able to do that with Finn here. Treecko then started to get cold where he was so he got up and made his way over to Charzard and climed up his back and layed down on the Charzard's head. Charzard laughed a little when Threecho did that and let the little grass pokemon be. Mudkip looked at the Politoed and laughed. She then noticed Poochyena and ran over to him. Poochyena looked at Mudkip and got into a playful stance then started to chase her. Mudkips eyes widend and she started to run laughing and called out to Politoed to join in the fun.
