Information
This is the place for you to breed pokemon. You can breed with one character's pokemon, or you can breed with two. You can also breed Pokemon from two of your own characters, but it is more expensive (to discourage cheating). When using just one Pokemon of yours, you can breed it with one of the DayCare 'mon, or have one parent Pokemon from you and another parent Pokemon from another member.
For example: Your character has a Pikachu and another member's character has a Raichu of the opposite gender. During RP the two would have to meet and agree to breed their Pokemon. Then, one of the players would create a topic in this board and fill out this form:
Form
(Note: Remember, Pokemon are not genderless on VC. In the event you still have one from before this was decided, pick a gender before trying to breed it. :3)
How it works
Any opposite gendered pokemon of the same egg group may breed and produce offspring. To check the egg groups of pokemon, I suggest using Serebii
**NOTE: Nidorina and Nidoqueen are GROUND/MONSTER egg group, just like NidoranF and the entire male Nido line. >> VC does not support Nintendo's sexism in making them but not their counterparts unbreedable.
Also, some of the breeding groups have been added to (not subtracted from). You can find the new list Here
For example:
Let's take a female shiftry and a male abomasnow.
+ = ?
These pokemon are both in the plant egg group.
Their offspring can be one of three things: A seedot, a snover, or a mix of the two.
(This is one possibility as to what a mix could look like when fully evolved.)
Mixes are almost always infertile and essentially cannot breed. (Rather, if you want to try, you have a 1 in 1,000 chance; this goes up to 1 in 1,000,000 for successfully breeding two hybrids. On the bright side, if you manage to luck into these odds, you are guaranteed a more complex hybrid offspring, at least. You still pay for unsuccessful attempts. Hybrids of more than two species are completely infertile, without exception. )
The offspring could have any combination of abilities and types inherited from the parents. It could be Dark/Grass, Dark/Ice, Grass/Ice, or just Grass.
Eggs that you receive will hatch in exactly two weeks real time. When it is time for the egg to hatch, pm a moderator so that they can tell you the species, gender, type, and ability of the pokemon.
Eggs have a different form to use in profiles:

Form
Player name(s): [the player or players involved in the breeding]
Character names(s): [character(s) whose Pokemon are involved]
Pokemon species and genders: [the species and genders of both pokemon]
How many eggs you would like: [1-3]
Which character(s) the egg(s) will go to: [Self explanatory]
Cost of the breeding: [how much money and who is paying it]
- Each breeding that involves one character or characters from two different members costs 500 Pokedollars base price.
- If using one of the center's available Pokemon, its breeding fee will be figured in as well.
- A breeding between two of your own characters costs 1500 Pokedollars base price, and only one of those characters may receive (an) egg(s) during one breeding session. This is simply to prevent a player from easily spreading around all their favorite, rarest, and/or most powerful Pokemon between all their chars; gotta work for it!
- In all situations, additional eggs cost an extra $50 on top of the base price and breeding fee if applicable. You may get up to three eggs from one session.
- Once a Pokemon has been bred, you must wait for its eggs to hatch before breeding it again. This excludes Ditto, given they can't reproduce their own kind.
- - Shiny Pokemon are more likely to produce shiny offspring. One shiny parent gives a 33.3% chance for purebreds, and a 20% chance for half-shiny and 20% for full-shiny for hybrids. Both Shiny parents give a 66.6% chance for purebreds, and a 40% chance for half-shiny and 40% for full-shiny for hybrids.
- Shadow Pokemon are very difficult to breed and attempts are often unsuccessful; you still pay for each attempt. However, if successful, offspring are aways Shadow. (One Shadow parent has 10% odds. Since we count each individual's odds, two Shadow parents have 1% between them.)
