Ryder smiled when the Houndour stood up on her hind legs, and saw her tail wag. Though when Tzila growled she looked at Monster who was standing at her side, and sighed. Monster always rubbed others the wrong way, but with Zane out, he wouldn't do anything, he would just stand at her side. She watched Monster's ear flicked when Tzila growled at him and only sat down from standing, keeping to her side. It wasn't long until she saw something come over, and watched as Zane folded his wings back to his side. She was hoping that in time, Zane would teach Monster his place, that he wasn't top dog in her pack of fire types.
It only took her a few seconds to notice that it was Jun that had come over, picking up his Houndour. Smirking at his first set of words, it was something that always seemed to come to her face, a smirk. Though she pushed it back, when she heard his second statement. "I could ask you the same thing. But, if you really must know, my brother drug me here." She kept her hand on top of Monster's head, making sure that even though Zane was out, he didn't do anything that he shouldn't. It would have been better if she had recalled him, instead of Artemis, but she could see her Vulpix getting into more trouble, as in destroying this whole place. At least with Monster, he obeyed commands better, and didn't try to slip through them.

((OOC: FFFF, i just noticed how many errors I made on my last post. Sorry if it was hard to understand Ryder. LOL. Fail. School is not helping me write)) I'll stand for nothing less or never stand again These are the limits when one's buried: This body's left the soul Could we have known, never would I Have helped to nail down...
"Dragged," Jun corrected. "Even I would be concerned if your brother drugged you here." His own smirk made its way onto his face as he crossed his arms, "And why I'm here is probably something I shouldn't say out loud, but believe me, I have good reason to be here...."
He trailed off, his face now set back in a straight line. Suddenly, the floor became more interesting than socializing, and it was then that Manjoume "Thunder" noticed Monster, "Oh, I see you got yourself a Houndour." He paused, debating how to explain his fascination with Monster without offending Tzila. After thinking it over for a few moments, Jun put Tzila down, and told her to continue doing her scouting mission. Tzila happily obliged, growling at Monster before vanishing into the crowed of people.
"Tzila doesn't like other Houndour or Houndoom," Jun stated bluntly. "But that's beside the point. Houndour's are usually pretty stubborn and hard to train. How much success have you had so far? Oh... let's get the hell away from the group of yelling kids too. I already have enough of a headache being here and alcohol isn't exactly dulling the pain."
Without waiting to see if Ryder would follow, Jun wove his way through the crowed, hoping to find a rather empty corner where he could at least hear himself think even if he didn't end up having a discussion with his frie-- acquaintance.
That's jumping the gun Thunder, he told himself. Friends are only going to hold you down.

Ryder snorted when Jun corrected her, but didn't have anything to say to it, though it was tempting to make a smart remark. She smirked when he noticed Monster, who had turned to look up at her. She could tell that right now he wasn't happy, about being at this party, having to put up with all this noise, and now another Houndour. Though with Zane out, Monster wasn't going to do anything, other wise later, he would have to answer to the Charizard. When Jun spoke, she looked away from Monster back at him, "So I noticed."
He stated how stubborn and hard they were to train, and she had to agree. Monster did have a hard time following orders, and really the only thing that kept him in check was Zane. Even Monster knew that he was no match for the Charizard. She was going to speak, but Jun had went on, talking about the kids, and wanting to get away from them. He turned away, and she gladly followed, Monster at her side, and Zane having to make sure he didn't push people over, but manged to follow. She saw Ziggy not far off, tucked into his own spot, with his tail over his nose.
Answering his question, "Well, some luck. He obeys, mostly because of Zane." She looked at her Charizard who kept his wings at his side, and kept his gaze on Monster. Once again, Ryder was glad that she had recalled Artemis, and had let Zane out instead. Artemis would only tease Monster, and that would no doubt end in trouble.

Wondering what could be taking so long, Alaric glanced toward the door looking for signs of Harvey and Sofia, but found his gaze drawn instead by a young woman crossing the floor. Well, certainly with a figure like that it was likely to get his attention anyway, but this was not fully the case this time. Watching her a moment, squinting as he wondered (the slitted contacts did make it a little harder to see), a realization hit. 'I know that dress!' Certainly it couldn't be the only one of its kind, or anything, but then.. The height, figure, and black hair that long IN said dress? Mask or no, Alaric was quite convinced.
Leaping to his feet with a bright smile, he rushed to greet her. "RIKU!<3" he called. Not seeing anyone with her, he was very tempted to attack-hug her right there, resisting only for the sake of that small chance he was wrong. Leering in disbelief, Honey facepawed. Sighing, she lay listlessly and continued to allow Chrissy and any other small Pokemon who might want to join to use her like a playground, so long as they didn't get too rowdy.

"..Hm?" Upon hearing her name called, Riku looked bewildered. She hadn't been invited, so nobody here should know her name, unless a past lover had somehow recognized her.. Lo and behold, she turned around to see a very excited lion cosplayer coming at her like a freight train. She braced herself for a moment, expecting a glomp, but realized that he likely wouldn't do that here. Having forgotten Adrian completely for a moment, she smiled, a genuine smile for once, and went towards the person, remembering finally who it was.
Alaric, the gorgeous golden man she had adored so much~ It wasn't often that Riku considered an actual relationship with one of her lovers, but with Alaric, something had seemed to just.. click before. She got to the lion-dressed man, realizing how ironic it was that the two of them were the only people with animal features tonight, and greeted him with a grin.
"Well, hey there.. Long time no see~" she purred good-naturedly.

Alaric could have burst with excitement; it was his Riku!<3 NOW he embraced her, clinging tight for a few moments. "It has been; I missed you~" he chimed. Alaric didn't keep 'friends', in a standard sense, really. But there were a number of people he'd call that, and while he was terrible about keeping in touch he was always thrilled to see one.
Pulling back a bit, he smiled down at her sweetly; after a moment, the smile turned to more a smirk, and he couldn't resist stealing a quick kiss while he had her so close anyway. Giving a light, deep chuckle after, he asked a little late, "Were you here with anyone tonight?" That verb was past-tense, of course. It wasn't as though he was convinced she was going to be with him either way; if she said yes and wanted it to stay that way he'd back off perfectly content. He just certainly wouldn't have a problem stealing her away if she wanted, either.

She accepted the kiss with a chuckle; she had missed him, too, but before she had the chance to admit as much he asked her if she was with anyone for the night.. Riku grinned, wrinkling her nose slightly and shaking her head. She leaned in to speak quietly into Alaric's ear, then.
"Yeah.. I actually wasn't invited.. Don't tell~" she purred before pulling away. On a whim, she embraced him again, cuddling into his chest for a moment before releasing him again. Missed you, too..~<3 she thought, her eyes speaking the words in her mind as she gazed up at him. "I did come in with someone else, but.. oh, he went to get me a drink and I don't know where he went. At any rate, I'm with you now~ Right?"

Try to get to know me. But the one you want, I won't be. I'm half the man that you think that I have been. My, the words are full of nothing, but still you search for something. In the moments that I've probably forgotten. Inside there's someone you don't want to know!
"Tzila and I didn't have that luxury. We only ended up working in sync so well due to circumstance...." he trialed off, his eyes narrowing on the crowed as the thoughts of his two brothers came back to mind. Clenching his fists as his sides, Jun suddenly forgot that he was at a party. He put his hands in his pockets, and in his right hand, fingered the sheathed dagger he always had with him....
He longed to take it out, and stab it into the chest of the two men who had made his life a living hell. Slade and Jagger Manjoume. Jun would show them no mercy as he watched the life leave their eyes. In his mind, not only was it justified to kill them, but merciful. After the tortures he'd endured due to their sadistic natures....
Suddenly, Manjoume Thunder snapped out of it as he felt a sharp pain in his hand. Without realizing it, he had brought out his dagger and unsheathed it, pricking his own hand in the process. Eyes going wide, Jun swore under his breath, and then put the weapon back in his pocket. He needed to stop getting so hung up over this, or when he actually saw his brothers, his revenge would never work.
Sighing, Jun looked at the beer bottle in his hand, and the shrugging, he downed what was left of it before tossing the bottle into a nearby trashcan, "This is all bullshit. I shouldn't be alive in the first place. Couldn't they have just killed me when I was younger and spared me these thoughts?"

RYDER
Ryder looked at a Jun a bit surprised when he first spoke, a she looked puzzle as he talked about a Luxray. She was about to speak, when he went on a bit, and then didn't say anything. She sighed as she watched him, and then saw him take out the dagger, and then put it back in. When he had taken his weapon had she heard a growl come from Monster,
"Houndour!" She quickly looked at Monster to see he was tense next to her side, that growling still coming from her. It wasn't until she put her hand on his head that he stopped. Monster may be proud, but that pride was based around Ryder, trying to be the best in her eyes, and to show that he was the strongest fire type on her team.
Though when he spoke again she took her hand off of Monster, narrowing her eyes on Jun. That was one thing that really bent her up, people saying how they should have died. She knew that her real parents could have had her and her brother killed, but they wanted them to live, to have a chance at life. "Thats bullshit, and a self centered thought, dying is a cowards way out. " She didn't have much more to say right now, only to try and grab his attention, and figure out what was bothering him tonight. After all she had only gotten some of his story in the temple.

"Harvey..don't go.."
Harvey was about half way to the door when Sofia caught hold of him arm and stopped him. He could not bring him self to look at her, for he knew he just threw a fit bit it was for a reason... He heated being looked down upon just because he was just a kid... And he did not like being threatened for no reason ether... He knew he would not have a very good time at the party but he never expected this... When Sofia spoke he had to look at her and see tears her eyes. Darn it!!! I made Sofia cry... thanks to that jackass...." Harvey thought. Then Sofia hugged him and he blinked but hugged her back his own tears stopping and he smiled. After a few minutes he pulled away from Sofia and put his hand under her chin and lifted it to so Sofia was looking at him.
" Sorry Sofia, I did not mean to make you sad.. I wont go... I will stay.." The boy said as he seemed to melt looking at Sofia's cute little face. He did care for her in fact he loved her but did not know it yet for he is still too young to know what love is. And for the moment he forgot about Alaric. Rayna looked at Harvey then to Sofia then Harvey again and made a goofy face and shrugged, she had no idea what was going on between the two kids.
Piplup followed Chrissy but when she went over to a Luxray, Piplup stopped in her tracks. She is a water type... Luxray is a electric type... Not a very good combo.. So Piplup did not get any closer but still kept a watchful eye on Chrissy.

Sofia clung to Harvey when he hugged and remained that way for a few moments. After a while she stopped crying and released Harvey, smiling at him after hearing that he would stay after all. "I'm glad you're staying Harvey...what happened though? Why'd you yell at Ali?"she asked in a confused voice, looking at him with a soft smile on her face,"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to though...hey you want to dance?" Without waiting for a reply, Sofia took Harvey's hand and led him back into the room into the middle of the dancing area before releasing his hand and curtsying to him.
Chrissy giggled and rolled off of Honey before walking to where Honey's head was and waving at her. "Hap! Happiny hap!" she giggled before walking off to where she had dropped a finished wreath. Picking up the flowers, Chrissy walked back over to Honey and offered them to the luxray, holding them high above her head so that Honey could wear them like a necklace. "Hap! Happiny hap, hap, happiny!"
Jalen was still waiting for an answer from the glameow and was wondering if he had shocked the glameow into silence and repeated his question, still offering the glameow the rose. "Jiggly jig jig jigglypuff?"

There was a very long silence while Mai just stared at the Jigglypuff not saying anything. After a moment, she made a 'hmp' sound as though he were not worth her time and simply walked off with an easy step probably back towards her master whom was watching her and resisting the urge to smirk at all costs to his mannerism. Jack turned around and half leaned on the table as he got the drinks. He had caught sight of the woman moving off and simply smirked setting down the other drink he had taken up before taking a sip of his own. You're just going to let that go? Casanova was rather taunting but more irritated and hurt that he was being ignored by Jack rather than anything else. The purple haired man made no move to answer himself but simply continued to ignore it and sip. Aside from Casanova who proclaimed himself to be in truth a part of Jack, the Hatter didn't actually mind the supposed loss of one girl. Where there was one, there were many, so there was nothing for him to worry about. Turning his head, Jack caught sight of something that in fact did chill his blood a fraction. Even in dress, Jack recognized a very familiar bounty hunter. Twitching internally, the purple haired man set down his drink and started to slowly make his way out as though trying to appear as inconspicuous as possible.

I don't think I deserve it. Selflessness, Find your way into my heart. All stars could be brighter... All hearts could be warmer....
When Ryder spoke up, Jun visibly tensed, and immediately, his fists clenched at his sides. Coward? Him? He bared his teeth like a rabid dog at that, and narrowed his eyes on the floor, memories flooding back to him in tidal waves of emotion. Coward, coward, COWARD!
"I'm not," he muttered almost silently as the word repeated itself in his head, first in Ryder's voice, and then in the mocking voice of his brothers. At last, when he finally got control of himself, he turned his ice cold gaze to the girl next to him, "I'm not a coward." He kept Ryder's gaze for a long time, his fists tightening as if he was holding back from lashing out, but at last, he turned away, his face still red with fury, "Though you are right about one thing. Wishing things had turned out differently isn't going to change the fact that I'm stuck with this responsibility now...."
He trailed off again, his eyes darkening, "I'm going to kill them, and then they won't even be able to regret all the pain they've caused for myself and others. I've changed a lot since we were stuck in the Temple. It's not just about me anymore. I'm not going trying to try to impress two family members that will never be proud of me. All they'll do is let me back in, use me, throw me out, and have me repeat this cycle. No more. I'm not wasting my life as a Noble any longer...."

Ryder looked at Jun when he repeated her words softly first, and then louder. She meet his glare, not flinching at all, as she saw him tense. She rested her hand on Monster's head again when Jun went on, and she sighed. He was a wild card that was for sure, she could say that she would never know what he was going to do. She looked up at Zane who hadn't moved only kept his wings out, and stayed by her side. Though she turned her gaze back to Jun soon, feeling that Monster was still tense at her side.
Her eyes flashed though when he spoke about killing his brothers, that they wouldn't even have time to regret what they had done to him and others. "Why do you need to kill them? Killing them would only bring you down to there level, and make you even more like them. Though I don't blame you for wanting to kill them, I just don't want you to reach there level." Ryder could say that she was lucky, she had never spent her life trying to impress another person, family or not. Brenden was kind, and would always be proud of her, always be there for her. She bit her lip, at the thought of her brother, they always stood next to each other, always helped each other. "What do you mean by not wasting your time as a noble anymore?" Though she spoke to him, her voice was softer, she wasn't yelling at him, she was only trying to figure out what he meant by all this.

What would it take for things to be quiet? Quiet like the snow. Are we made to be empty handed, I know I could, I could be better....
"I honestly don't think there's anything I can do that will make me better than them Ryder," Jun said. "Even if I killed them, there aren't many lower than a Manjoume like myself. I've done my fair share of... things I'm not proud of...." he trailed off, his eyes scanning the crowed for Tzila, wondering if she was alright in this chaos. "That's what I mean by I'm done with being a noble. I want no part of their games anymore. Not only is it a waste of my time, but its not right... to be taking advantage of the good people in Era, however few there may be left."
He stopped, turning his head towards Ryder with a peculiar expression, "You're the first one to have ever treated me with any sort of respect. If it hadn't been for the incident in the Temple, I would have continued on being greedy. Exactly like my brothers... but not willing to admit it.... It's kind of hard to explain."
Jun sighed, turning his gaze towards the ceiling, "If only you knew them Ryder, you'd know why the world would be better without them. The saying 'blood is thicker than water' is complete and utter bull. They don't give a damn if I'm alive or dead, or if they kill me or someone else. As long as they have power, as long as they can use and abuse people, they're going to. The only way for them to stop is if they can never influence someone again. If I don't get rid of them... no one will. I'm the only one who can resist their mind games, their tortures.... and to be honest, it will feel so damn good to get revenge, though that's hardly why I want to kill them anymore....."

RYDER
Ryder sighed when he spoke, he may think there was nothing he could do, but just by refusing to help his brothers anymore was enough. Nobody in this life had to be perfect, perfection was a load of crap, it just couldn't be done."Its the past though, Theres no sense in dwelling in the past, its done and over with. You say your no better then your brothers, but you are. You at least try to make up for your past, in your own way. I don't know your brothers, but it doesn't sound like there trying to make themselves a better person."
She was a bit shocked by his second statement though, that he had changed because of her show of respect for him. She didn't say anything to it though, a bit to shocked to say anything. She had learned early in her life that names meant nothing, mostly last names. Most would think that there last name would define them, but that was another load of crap. Like Ryder had no connection to her last name, she didn't hold any special role in her family, didn't get noticed because of her last name. It was the last name of her real mother and father, but they never reached out to try and reach her. So therefore, her last name meant nothing to her, and she often forgot she even had one.
He went on, and when he stated that he wished she could meant them, she started to wonder if she ever would. He talked about these people, but she had never meant them, never said anything to them. If there was one thing going from foster home to foster home had taught her, was lack of respect for people in power. She may be nice most of the time, but for people who held power, she would often tease and taunt. "There are many people out there just like your brothers, they might not be as easy to see, but there ever where."
There would always be power hungry people out there, wanting to take something that wasn't their's. "But the thing is, almost all of the time, those people fall." People got tired of other people wanting power, and in time turned on them, in time was the key word though. "If you want revenge then live well, after all they say thats the best revenge. From what you tell me, the don't deserver to be thought of, or to let there past crimes ruin your life."

Holding the hand that holds me down. I forgive you, forget you, the end. Holding the hand that holds me down. I forgive you, forget you, the end....
Jun sighed at Ryder's last statement. Why did he expect her to understand how he felt about his brothers, the necessity to the world to have them dead... and if not that, so he could keep his own sanity. Until they were gone... for good, Jun would continue to be haunted by their shadows. Still though, he'd given his two cents. He'd tried to relate, to show her how he felt, and it only got pushed back in his face. Was this how it was always going to be?
If he couldn't take vengeance on his brothers, then Jun really didn't feel the need to keep on living. It was him, or them. They had made that clear, and it was so ingrained in his own mind that it was a game of survival more than anything else at this point.
Suddenly, one of Manjoume Thunder's Pokeball's burst open: Forming before the two trainers, Zane, and Monster, Jun's newest Pokemon, Dodger, formed in a bolt of light.
"Buizel!" it cried, the smirk apparent on its face. Jun gave it a meaningful stare, but really was not about to do anything to stop his mischievous Buizel from playing pranks. To him, this whole party was a chaos trap hole waiting to happen. The water type blinked a few times, and then jokingly prodded Jun's leg to make sure he was okay and not drunk.
"I'm not intoxicated Dodger," he explained. "I just don't care if you wreak havoc in a place like this. It's already made up of disaster waiting to happen. May as well speed up the process...."
Grinning from ear to ear, the Buizel gestured to Monster and Zane, inviting them to join in on his game if they wanted to. Of course, there would be no real harm. Maybe stealing a few bits of food from the humans, jumping on heads, and being obnoxious, but surely nothing terribly hurtful.... yet.

Ryder sighed as she looked at Jun, "Sorry, I can't fully understand what you feel, since I don't know your brothers. But, I'm here for you." She left it at that, as her gaze flickered away, and then back to him. He was still somewhat of a wild card, and she wasn't sure how he would take her statements at times. She looked him over, wishing she knew more, but she didn't. She knew what he told her, but she had never meet his brothers, never seen what they were like for herself. She looked around for a few seconds before looking back at Jun, "So, been up to anything else? Been in any caves since the temple?" She offered him a small smile, a bit unsure right now.
Though when one of his balls opened up, she looked at the pokemon in front of her. The pokemon seemed more playful, and she smirked. Looking at Zane who just snorted, and at Monster who only let out a low growl. "So, when he ruins the place you get kicked out, and I'll just come with." She smirked, she couldn't stand places with a lot of people, the less the better. When Dodger looked at Zane and Monster, Zane only snorted clearly not wanting to do anything, and Monster only padded towards the water pokemon.

As Ezio led Teme towards the dancefloor, noticing the appearance of several new masks, various thoughts entered his head. He had no idea where this night would lead, what happen after. Ezio quickly shook off those thoughts, deciding to let the night take its course.
As he got lost in his thoughts for a moment, Ezio accidentally bumped into a fellow trainer, only really noticing his Buizel. Quickly apologising, Ezio finally made his way to the dancefloor, smilng back at Teme

The dark and cold reminds me Of all the distance we have crossed And if your darkness blinds me I could never be so lost....
"Heh, don't tempt me to actually destroy this place," Jun commented, a smirk making its way onto his face. He appreciated the light humor for once, probably because Ryder agreed that this party was a load of crap and an excuse for people to just get drunk. "Though knowing Dodger, he'll cause some sort of racket soon. All we have to do is wait for the show. Who knew there would be a day when I wanted him to do something like this?"
The Manjoume laughed a little, a rare occurrence for him, but at least his bad mood was gone now. In the back of his mind though, he wondered... were was Tzila? Had she found something? A flash of worry passed through his eyes at the thought of his best friend and most faithful Pokemon, but he quickly shook it off in time to answer Ryder's question.
"I haven't traveled to much. In fact, this is really my first time out of Central City in a while. I needed some time away though. I have business down there now...." he trailed off at that, knowing that bringing up any mention of The Pure Ones was a bad move. If Nyroc found out his disobedience, she would have his head, quite literally.
The only reason he had joined was for power, and it was quickly showing in his team. Perhaps Ryder didn't know it, but each and every one of the Pokemon she had seen before were now loads tougher then they had been when they had a play battle, enhanced in abilities due to honing emotions. And yet, Jun couldn't shake off the feeling that something wasn't quite right with The High Tyto, but he really didn't have a lot of time to think about it, because suddenly, chaos erupted.
***
"Bui, buizel!" Dodger announced. It had somehow managed to get itself up on a chandeleer and announce to the party, or rather, the Pokemon at the party, that a game was about to happen. After a series of explanations from the eager Buizel, it became clear that it was a mish-mosh version of tag that he was trying to accomplish...
Smirking, Dodger fired up a Water Gun into the audience, and of course, the first one to get hit was....
