Miguel looked a little taken aback when Ava all but jerked her hand away from him but quickly recovered, smiling at her once again. "My apologies Lady Avelina, I had no intention of making you uncomfortable. I merely wished to extend the offer if this fellow you are waiting for does not show his face tonight. Perhaps another dance later this evening, if it would please you to accept my offer."he said in a kind voice before reaching for his own glass and taking a small sip only to find that it was wine; Miguel had never developed a taste for wine and wasn't thrilled with the drink choice, but he would finish the glass and look for other options later.
Camelia had gotten bored waiting for the buizel to do something and had found Miguel once again. Walking over to him she realized that he was talking to another lady; now curious, the Shikjika looked up at the lady and blinked, tilting her head to the side in a way that looked absolutely adorable.

Tonight or any other night, she thought miserably. Bah... Ava knew this wasn't fair, taking out her anger on him. He seemed like a sweet guy, even if he did sound a little.. familiar. Why did it feel-.... AH.. She barked a small, sarcastic laugh at this realization. "Christ, it's like being hit on by my brother," she mumbled, then sighing and shaking her head. Who was she kidding anyway? Invitations may have gone out all over the region, but really, why on God's green earth would Van show up at anything so social? Heading toward the table, she grabbed another glass and threw back her head, choking down the full thing in a few moments before slamming the glass back down on the table. Turning back with an obviously forced smile, she sighed, "What the hell, let's dance then."

Miguel was a little confused when Ava laughed after he again extended the invitation to dance and didn't quite catch all that she said after that. Setting his still full glass back on the table, Miguel turned to face Ava with a kind yet slightly more serious expression on his face. "My lady, if you do not wish to dance tonight I will not force you to. I understand if you wish to wait for this person to arrive before partaking in the activities but I will not make you do something that would displease you," he said in a kind voice, "Forgive me if I came across as too forceful, that was not my intention at all. I saw you standing alone and thought you would enjoy somebody to talk to and perhaps dance with. But if it would truly please you to dance with then I would be more than honored to dance with a fair maiden such as yourself." Saying this, he extended his arm out to Ava in order to escort her onto the dance floor with the same kind expression on his face.

...Wow, he talked a lot. It kind of gave her a headache.. Well, that, or she'd misjudged her limit and those drinks were starting to go to her head; probably a bit of both, honestly. Moving forward to take his arm, she replied to the main bits she'd picked out of his near-monologue with a caustic look and tone. "It's been four years. I don't know what made me think he might show up now.."

Miguel almost stopped when he heard Ava tell him that she hadn't seen the man for four years; his anger flared at the man who would dare treat a lady that way. Did the man even know what a treasure he had found?! Miguel had to fight the urge to call out the rogue that had left the lady waiting in vain for him but instead smiled down at Ava as he led her to the dance floor where they began to dance to the music. "I am sorry to hear that. He must not know what a treasure he has if the man has not spoken to you in four years. I only hope that he has a good reason for making you wait so long." he said in a kind voice before twirling Ava. ~~~ Elayne walked up the stairs to the masquerade quickly knowing that she was late, but then this had been intentional; if she was late that meant more people would be there and more people meant less chance of being recognized, not that her disguise wasn't concealing enough. Elayne's dress was a long burgundy dress that hung on her petite frame in a flattering way, its rounded neck and long sleeves made the dress modest and worked to hide the sparrow birthmark that was her one identifying feature. Her mask was a simple yet elegant one, with burgundy fading into white and burgundy feathers coming up from the middle of the mask. The final touch to the disguise was an elegant black wig that hid her own brown locks, just to be on the safe side. [atrb=width,500,bTABLE][atrb=border,0,bTABLE] | |
Now entering the ballroom, Elayne was both relieved and a little panicked at the amount of people in the room. If Ezio wasn't here... As soon as the thought entered her mind, Elayne spotted Ezio's Castform, Viento. Relieved that Ezio had indeed come, Elayne quickly made her way to the Castform and smiled shyly. "Hello Viento, it's me Elayne...could you tell Ezio that I'll be by the balcony?" she said in a kind, quiet voice before she waited for the Castform's response.

(x3 You said you wanted those pics side by side; is that good? *tweaked for youz<3*)
Ava.. knew it was meant to be comforting.. But somehow instead, his words brought tears to her eyes, even as she danced mechanically to his lead. After some moments, she whimpered, "He knows..." For the love of life, he knew... Sad pale-blue eyes gazing up sincerely, she informed him, "He hides... because he thinks he doesn't deserve me.. And everyone else agrees with him." Her tone would have been pure ice if not for the pain lacing it. It wasn't that she didn't appreciate the effort, but the words he'd chosen had struck such a chord.. Through this, she did not stop dancing, however, and wouldn't unless he stopped them.

Yue had been in his own muttering thoughts when he realized that Kali had questioned the process. For a half second he was extremely wary of giving out information to the process in any sort of way, but then again, the process of purification was not the process of shadowing. "There are quite a few ways that have appeared in purifying," he sighed somewhat dryly. The subject was not on his list of things that he would like to talk on, yet it had to be addressed. "One consists of battling and 'calling' more or less getting the pokemon to release their hyper mode state. However, this has a backwards action and purifies the heart a fraction each time a pokemon is 'called'.There are also 'scents' that will open a heart fraction by fraction as well as keep it under control. The Pokemon Daycare service also seems to have some sort of effect on purification time. Then there is the matter of being around a rock in the Relic Forrest of Agate Village down in the Orre region.
"However, the most resent method of purification comes from Purification Chamber that seems to be able to break the shadow ties more or less through a tempo system. This last method proves to be the quickest and most efficient to break shadow distortion as well as the shadow effect in general. When a certain stronger method of shadowing is used that can be seen in such colorings as that, it proves impossible to purify by simply 'calling' as others could be, and the chamber proves to have certain requirements at which to purify said darker colored pokemon."Again, Yue was more or less muttering to himself in an extremely low voice and now realizing that even if he made an ultimate shadow pokemon, it would be annoying come to find out that such a purification machine could be moved up from the Orre region into Era and start breaking all of his hard work. There had to be a way around that, and maybe enough research into the nature of shadows total would prove something more.

She listened intently, but found herself disappointed at the end. "Yes, I knew those," she replied calmly. "As well as just smothering it with enough general sugar and rainbows." The sarcasm couldn't be missed, even at this volume. "Krane's Chamber was what was used on Ex-Dee after all. And that's why I was wondering. At least according to the media's version, when they found a proper sync for the machine, his purification was instantaneous. But that Dragonite seems so calm; I don't understand how if he's still shut tight. Am I missing something, or don't you find that odd?" At this point, they turned in their dance again, and she tilted her head the other direction as to keep an eye on the dragon. She was starting to wonder in the back of her mind if they might look suspicious to anyone who noticed them, whispering as they were. With a quick glance around though, she noticed several other dance partners looking not unlike them, and felt more relieved. That made sense enough; if anyone did notice their whispering, they'd just assume they were talking about--.... =////= Oh.. No, Kali didn't really need to realize that. Past growing the slightest bit more tense for just a moment, she did not particularly react to this outwardly, but she was rather grateful indeed that he couldn't see her face while they were like this, and she could feel her blood racing. Ugh.. ...AND THESE DAMNED HEELS. D<

Until the last breath leaves my body, [I was never the kind To be taking my time. And today's another day That I've gone and thrown away, And I don't care where it lands.]
Hearing the party shift, Akira moved his attention back down to his company to find Felis moving toward the stairs that led to the spot where he stood. Watching him with careful eyes that never left the other noble as he made his way around the corner to stand before him, Akira turned to face him, smiling lightly as he tilted his head. He knew exactly was coming, but hell, he welcomed it. Promptly glomped, Akira laughed lightly.
"And how are you my dear Noble of the North?"
"I've been better, but I can't complain." He replied, returning the glomp with a hug, "How about you, dear Felis?"
The Feeling content to remain where he was, seeing that the party was moving along smoothly, Akira felt relieved. The last thing he wanted for tonight was for there to be trouble, and although there seemed to be some fairly suspicious people in the room, it wasn't really anything that he couldn't handle if problems broke out. But, there was one thing he hadn't counted on - pokemon trouble.
"Bui-" Was all he heard over the commotion of the party below and it made him go rigid as he turned to search for the holder of the voice. Gritting his teeth as he saw the Buizel on the lighting fixture, he growled, but there was a louder growl that drowned his own out. Towering above Akira and Felis, Kurosu had also spotted the Buizel, and clearly didn't seem entertained at all. The noble knew that his Dragonite would look for an opportunity to fight, but didn't think one would arise. Well, it did. "Kurosu... no..." He muttered, hoping to deter the Shadow Pokemons ideas.
But to no avail.
Spreading his wings, electricity seemed to run over the pokemon's rough scales as a thunder sparked on his antenna, rage burning in his eyes. With a loud huff that somehow mixed itself with a snarl, he released a thunder toward the Buizel. At this action, Akira nearly lost his ability to stand, heart racing with panic. No... no no no! This was NOT supposed to happen here tonight! With wide Eyes, Akira debated throwing Loki out to throw up a protect around things to avoid the others from being hit, but... that could be near impossible. Unless... Moving a hand down, he pulled out two balls, releasing Loki and Toshiro.
"You two, quickly, go down and get Tim. Then, you three, all together, use Protect to keep the Guests from being hit." He spoke quickly in his panic, doing his best to remain calm as the two Pokemon nodded and bolted for the stairs. As the two met up with Tim, Akira looked at Felis, giving him an extremely apologetic smile, "I'm so sorry... we can never have a peaceful meeting... can we?" He muttered lightly, truely embarassed for the actions that were currently taking place.
Only taking moments to 'explain' what they had to do, to the Pichu, the three dispersed to form a triangle around the guests. Trying to remain discreet, they looked up and each used the move, forming a protective barrier over the people below the Buizel and angered Shadow Dragonite.
Feeling somewhat relieved now that the guests would be safe from any battle that may ensue, Akira released a sigh before looking up at Kurosu. The pokemon was likely to break into one of his rages at this time in being, and even Felis and himself were in danger at the time. They needed to move. Now. Grabbing the older man, Akira moved backward, pulling him toward him as he moved so that they stood out of the line of Kurosu's sight.
Through the whole ordeal, Akira didn't notice the pair dancing below who slowly made their way closer. Even if he had noticed, the noble wouldn't have paid it any mind, couples were dancing all over, moving across the floor - what would set these two apart from any of the others?
I will not stop walking. [I'm on the front line, Don't worry I'll be fine. I say goodbye to my weakness, So long to the regret. And now I see the world through Diamond eyes.] When all the lights go down And when the final curtain falls When there is nothing left to say,
"Young master, are you enjoying yourself?"
"Hm?" The young boy looked up from his Umbreon to see his butler making his way back over to him, that dreaded cat in his arms. Upon seeing Mai, Ciel tried not to deadpan, knowing the man's odd affection for the demon cat. He wasn't the only one to see the cat of course, Aku had noticed as well and laid his ears back, glaring at her. "There are plenty of interesting people here..." He replied. It was true, one of Ciel's favorite past times was observing others, oddly enough. It kept him occupied quite well.
"You should dance, for that is what a ball is for, you know."
At this, Ciel froze. Now, that was just cruel. He didn't like to dance, well no... it was more like he wasn't that great at dancing. Or so he thought at least. Sebastian had taught him to dance but... that was then, this was now and well... He just... "You know how I am about dancing." He stated, rather bluntly, not wanting to come up with an excuse. Besides, most of the people here were much taller than himself, it was awkward enough dancing with Sebastian the long while ago.
"I suppose a bit of socializing couldn't hurt though..." He finished with a glance around the room. Other than Sebastian, there was only one person who he knew, and she seemed rather occupied. Standing up from his chair, Ciel straightened his clothes and took a step forward before pausing again, noticing the pokemon throwing up the protect and the attack above. Interesting... He thought as he followed the thunder back to its origin to find his Lord's shadow Dragonite, attacking the pokemon who sought to cause some chaos.
Upon seeing this, the young Phantomhive glanced down at Aku, knowing that the Umbreon would be one to join in the battle if one broke out to put in his own say and protect Ciel. Not that he was thrilled with the idea, but if it meant fighting for and with his Lord, it would be worth it.
Eternity eventually will linger Through abandoned halls And leave us dark in disarray. This could be my moment in time. It’s there for the taking. [In danger I know of losing it all]
Stepping into the room through the door, Kamui attempted to blend in as much as possible. He was late, and he knew it. But hey, it was better to be fashionably late than not showing at all, right? With a sigh, he managed to worm his way through the crowd to a corner to lean against the wall. There were many people here, and he knew that some of them had to be bounty hunters or enemies at least, which made him extremely thankful for the Mask that covered up his identity.
He tried to keep it as casual as he could, considering the outfit that he had chosen wasn't the most extravagant. He wore a light pink button up shirt that was closed around his neck with a white tie. Over that, he wore a black formal jacket, the sleeves of the pink shirt underneath peeking out and folded back over the cuffs of the jacket. With that, he wore a fairly formal, yet still comfortable pair of black pants and surprisingly enough, a pair of black and white sneakers that were well enough to pass as 'formal' in his own punk like style.
Running his hand through his hair, Kamui only then noticed that he had lost his partner when he had come to the corner. Mao, his yellow Luxio, was nowhere to be seen. There were several pokemon in the room, so he assumed that the electric lion would be fine, but it didn't ease Kamui at all. With a deep breath, he tried to calm his nerves as he made his way into the crowd once again to find the young pokemon.
The question is, can I make it last? [Still, it can be done]

Just as he was about to reply, Yue caught sight of a sudden attack that seemed to start up between the Dragonite and the Buizel. The sparks that seemed to emit in the air caused Yue to go on edge, and in half a second, he had stopped dancing completely to watch this odd attack. Calm indeed..I wonder..... was the thought that came to the mind of the white haired man all but stared now He would have turned back to Kali and retorted her previous statement with something along the lines of 'you were saying', yet he was thinking on other things at the moment. This was not the time to retort. Instead, Yue's face was rather calm and controlled aside from his usual smile. "Kali, let's slip somewhere more discreet for the time being," Leon Alias said aloud before starting to move towards the other side of the room slowly and yet keeping an eye on this fight. More or less pulled out of the wave of the Dragonite, Felis blinked for a solid moment in surprise. However, after another moment, he half smiled at the other man. "It's like we can't get any peace time," he finally sighed. However, after a moment, he simply pulled Akira into a hug and grinned to himself. "But then again, I can make time." Rosie found himself looking at the fight between the Dragonite and the Buizel unable to decide which to really deal with. The Buizel was rather annoying, yet the Dragonite looked ready to kill. With no direct orders from Felis, the Roserade found himself unable to decide which to move towards. Damn it all.

Kali nearly jumped out of her skin at the sound of the dragon's roar. Oh Sweet Arceus what the- By the time she remembered how to breath and her heart again began beating, Leon had released her to focus on the Dragonite, and Kali turned to watch the commotion as well. ..Of course, not a full minute since she'd realized just how romantic their situation was (in a way), and already it was cut short. After actually taking in everything, her first thought was to try to help settle this mess-- given the only two Pokemon she'd brought, most likely by taking down that damned Buizel.
Then again, no sooner had this thought formed than her eyes grew wide and her face hot to realize a certain.. problem with that... Eyes darting- a lot to Leon, though everywhere- it occurred to her: how exactly could she bring out a PokeBall at this point without being too... obvious... ....Sexist-ass formal-wear-makers, putting pockets on tuxes but not dresses. Speaking of obvious, she supposed aside from that sort of attention, she didn't really want to draw too much to them in general. Mask or no, Stormy was pretty easy to recognize, and... She laughed mentally; no, she was NOT sending Nibbler against a Shadow-fucking-Dragonite. (Though granted, if successful, his modification on F.E.A.R. taking it down would be hysterical, and no one would recognize a Rattata even after a feat like that.)
Even as she debated, though, Leon seemed to make up her mind for her as he began to head away from the fray. Glancing back at the battle for just a moment, she shook her head and rushed the few steps to catch up to him. Her indecision settled, her mind was freed to think on other subjects now, and she realized just how glorious that timing really was. "Well, he was abnormally calm..." she mumbled to her mentor. "It's still odd it took such a trigger."
Alaric gave a deep chuckle. "It would seem so~" Before he or the young woman could continue, however, the room suddenly burst into chaos. Without a second thought, the young man instantly rushed to the edge of the crowd, eyes scanning for his Luxray. Honey had gotten out of the immediate fray, bringing several smaller Pokemon with her, and was just dropping them off as she saw Alaric.
Relieved she wasn't stuck out alone, Alaric hurried closer to her, and as their eyes met with equal determination, both lions nodded. Loosing a ball off his belt, Alaric released his Gligar as well. "Right, let's tame a dragon. Rock Tomb and Ice Fang." Both Pokemon nodded, rushing in to carry out their respective attacks.

RYDER
Her uneasy about being around so many people started to grow a bit, as she looked around once again. However she turned her gaze away from Jun when she heard the roar of a dragon, and looked up to see an odd colored Dragonite, that didn't look to happy with Jun's pokemon's outbrust. At the roar she saw Zane look up, and felt him tense next to her. She knew that if Zane wanted a fight, there was really nothing she could do to stop him. He got to into the fight, and didn't listen to orders as times. Plus, if he saw the Dragonite as a threat to Ryder, he would defend her, no matter what she said to stop him. Her thoughts were confirmed as she heard a roar from her own dragon, and saw him let out a flamethrower.
It hit the thunder, but not all of it, since Zane was across the room, and thus his flames couldn't knock the whole attack out. She sighed, Zane did have an ego from time to time, and something that brought that out was another strong pokemon. Turning to Jun, "Might be best if we get out of the way." Even though she saw other pokemon coming down, and using there protects, she still didn't want to be standing right next to Zane if he was going to start a fight. She looked at Zane to see energy gathering in his mouth, as he shot off a dragon plus attack on the Dragonite.

Miguel had stopped dancing when he heard the pain in Ava's voice and was about to speak when the dragonite attacked. Out of instinct more than anything he gently pushed Ava behind him and was about to draw his sword when he realized that three pokemon had already used protect shielding the guests from the damage of thunder. Taking Ava's hand, he led her to a safer area so that they could talk without worrying about the Dragonite. Miguel had seen the purple coloring of the Dragonite and was not pleased with the current situation; what did the noble expect if he was going to turn his pokemon into a heartless monster. Without a heart, even humans would go on rampages just like the pokemon was doing right at that moment.
Now confident that they were safe from harm, Miguel took out one of his pokeballs and released Grace, his Tabunne knowing that she would protect them from harm before he looked at Ava with a concerned expression on his face. "Are you all right Lady Avelina?" he asked in a kind voice before gently wiping her tears away,"I am sorry that he believes that he is not worthy of your presence, but by saying so he has also caused you pain. I wish that I could speak to this man to assure him that the opposite is indeed true...I can see by the pain in your eyes that you do indeed love him; my lady, I would go to the ends of the earth to bring him back to you if only to see you smile once again."
Camelia all but screamed when the Dragonite attacked and ran to the nearest corner, cowering in fear. Where was Miguel now...?
Grace looked up at Miguel, waiting for orders when she saw the chaos around her right before she heard Camelia's cry of distress. Running off to find the Shikijika, Grace found her cowering in a corner of the room, frightened out of her mind. Concerned about Camelia, Grace hugged the Shikijika and crooned softly in her ear, telling her that everything would be all right.
Camelia finally calmed down when Grace found her and comforted her. Now smiling, she looked up at Grace with trust in her eyes and licked the Tabunne's face.
Grace smiled back at Camelia, relieved that she was all right and led the way back to where Miguel was. Camelia was more than happy to see Miguel but knew that this was not the time to talk to her trainer. Instead, the Shikijika lay down near Miguel and watched as Grace watched for any sign of trouble that would come near Miguel and Ava.
~~~
Elayne flinched when the Dragonite attacked and instinctively grabbed Viento, shielding him from harm with her body. Elayne was calling herself every type of fool for believing that she could come to the masquerade. Now there was danger and that inevitably meant that Elly, her tell tale Espeon would come out of her pokeball to rescue her from danger. "Please Elly, don't come out...I'm safe..."she thought, dreading what would happen if Elly did show herself. Running over to a window that had a balcony outside, Elayne pushed the window open with one hand and stepped outside. "I think we're same from harm here Viento...you should find Ezio and bring him here...I will remain here until you return." she said in a kind voice as she released Viento and turned to admire the view from the balcony
When Sofia led Harvey to the middle of the dance floor and hugged him then curtsied he looked at her with a blank look but then smiled. He did not like dancing much ether but how could he say no to Sofia? Harvey they put his mask back on and bowed back to Sofia and offered his hand to Sofia." Sofia? May I have this dance?" He asked but then he heard the sounds of the chandelier swinging above him. He looked up to see a Buizel up on it and shot a water gun at someone. " What the.... Why is there a Buizel on the chandelier? He asked out loud before he heard the roar of the shadow Dragonite. Harvey looked at it and his eyes grew wide. If that Dragonite attacked now He and Sofia would be goners for sure!!! " SOFIA!! WE HAVE TO RUN NOW!" Harvey yelled and took Sofia by the hand and started to run as fast as he could. When the three Pokemon used protect that did not make Harvey feel any safer. And his feeling reached Aggron.
with a Flash of light Aggron came out of his pokeball is bodyguard mood. Harvey saw that and was like "oh no" He called to his Pokemon. " Aggron!!! I command you don't attack the Dragonite!!! Protect Sofia and me!! Just defend!!! DON'T ATTACK!" Harvey ordered his huge Pokemon. Aggron heard Harvey's orders and nodded. He ran up behind Sofia and Harvey and scoped them up into his arms and started to run as fast as he could away from fight that was now going to start to protect Harvey and Sofia.
Rayna looked around to see a fight starting thanks to a blasted Buizel. She then looked around to see if Harvey and Sofia where ok and saw that Aggron had them in his arms carring them to safety. But where was Piplup, Jalen and Chrissy? Where they safe? Rayna looks around and saw Jalen right in the middle of the room. " Jalen!!! Move!!! RUN!!" Rayna called out to him put it was no use he seemed to be having a pity party. Rayna then ran out into that dance floor right for Jalen. With in a few minutes she was at his side and picked him up in her arms. " Bad timing to have a pity party Jalen!" Said Rayna and she started to jump away form the battle that was going to start. Piplup was still watching Chrissy when all this happened. " Pip?" She asked as she looked around and saw the danger unfolding. " PIPLUP!!!" the little water Pokemon cried and ran over and picked up Chrissy and started to run with her to safety.
For the brief moment, Ava became distracted as they took better shelter, but quickly enough there he was going again with another chivalrous remark. Ava facepalmed, holding the position for some moments and rubbing her temples before slowly dragging the hand down, her irritation nearly tangible. "Sir Miguel," she responded in a remarkably soft, sweet tone, though this faded somewhat as she went on. "You don't know me. And you don't know him. If you dare to claim you still mean those words, I expect you to do it. You're a knight? You travel? Actually find him for me." Time and time and time again she'd heard such noble words from noble blood, her own blood included. And when it came down to it, that's all they were: pretty words.
She gave a heavy sigh. "And if you can't do that, I suggest you stop living in a fairy tail. I'm the youngest daughter of a Count, and he's a 40-yr-old commoner." No, 41 this year, wasn't it? Close enough for the knight's knowledge, though. "Tell me, sir knight; what am I to do about this? ...Oh yes, keeping in mind my sister already proved my parents would rather destroy and end lives than let their dear daughter settle for poor blood, of course~" For the last part, her tone had again become terribly sweet given its context. ...Damn, she'd given all that up pretty easily, hadn't she? Well, it was still vague, but... Yes, she definitely should've stopped at two glasses. Bah, she'd need to watch her tongue from here on if she wanted to avoid too much risk.
Sofia giggled when Harvey bowed and asked her to dance and was about to take his hand when Harvey mentioned the Buizel. This sent Sofia into hysterics that quickly turned into panic when the Dragonite sent a thunder attack at the Buizel. Sofia screamed and covered her head with her arms, oblivious to the fact that three pokemon had used protect to prevent harm to the guests. Suddenly Sofia found herself being led away by Harvey but at that moment Aggron came out and scooped them up after being yelled at by Harvey once again. Relieved that the big pokemon had come out, Sofia leaned against Aggron, trembling in fear as tears began to stream down her cheeks. The night had started out so fun too...
Jalen's face could only be described as D8 when the glameow turned him down. His normally pink body turned stark white out of shock and embarrassment so much so that he wasn't even aware when the Dragonite attacked or when Rayna picked him up which would normally of made him delighted, but at that moment he was too shocked that the glameow had said NO to him that he couldn't even speak, much less move.
Chrissy was having fun playing on Honey when the Dragonite roared, causing her to start and roll off of Honey as a result before she promptly started to cry out sheer terror. It didn't help that Piplup had picked her up either, if anything this made the Happiny more frightened as she didn't realize what was going on at that moment. All she knew was that there were loud SCARY sounds and she wanted OUT of there.
Miguel was struck by Ava's reaction to his words; he had meant what he said and was a little taken aback that she had not believed him the first time. Taking both of Ava's hands, he looked at her with a kind, sincere expression. "My lady, I am a man of my word. I will find him for you; even if it takes me the rest of my life. I swear, upon my honor that I will find him. What will happen after that I do not know but I will try my best to help you find happiness Lady Avelina, if only for a moment."he said in a kind, sincere voice.
Camelia looked up at Miguel with curious eyes and wondered what he was talking about before looking over at Grace who was still guarding the area, ready to protect her charges if need be.
.... Well. That certainly changed things, didn't it? She couldn't say she wasn't still skeptic, but.. Well, it was more hope than she'd had for some time at any rate. Again Ava found herself in tears, though a little differently this time. Part of her- a rather large part, even- wanted to continue to call him out, question how she'd get around the rest of the problems once she knew where he was. But then... he had stated even for a moment, and though her inherent cynicism told her it'd only be worse after and reopen the slowly healing wound, well.. She hadn't spent all this time searching and waiting because she didn't want to find him, had she? "Thank you..." she whimpered at last.
Of course, her doubts couldn't release her so easily, and a different strain of them now cropped up, making her turn away and huddle a bit at the pain of these. "..If..it's not to much to ask... Could I have one more small favor?" She gulped hard, hesitating just a moment. "If..." her voice faltered, weaker on return. "If you find something I wouldn't like... don't tell me..? I... don't think I could handle it if I found out he'd found someone else... or went back to his wife...." She shuddered just a bit.
Break apart and divide, divide, divide, divide! You might say that I'm the last man standing now, And though you'll try you'll never find a way to BREAK ME! You might say that I'm sick of being lost in the crowd, I hear the sirens but they're never gonna TAKE ME!
"Yeah, leaving would be wise. Not like I want to be around this crap party anyway," Jun commented. Though just as soon as he had said that, he felt the supreme presence of someone else he knew wandering around the facility... and that could only mean one thing: Nyroc. She was here as well. Well, goddamn, he was more than right when he said he was ready to go. Whatever his boss was up to, he wanted no part in it tonight.... though defiance of her meant certain death.
Turning his gaze to Ryder carefully, he said, "Meet me outside. I need to get Dodger out of trouble. Something isn't quite right in here." Without waiting to see if the female trainer would listen, Jun took off into the crowed of people, whistling for Tzila even over the roar of the two dragons ready to duke it out.
This was bad. Really bad.
***
Dodger the Buizel laughed like a little moron as the Shadow Dragonite let out a Thunder. He lightly let go of the lamp, and plopped to the floor rather gracefully before setting off at a trot towards where the room was clear. Now that a fight had broken out, anything he felt he could take was his for the pickings without any trouble... and so, the Buizel jumped up onto the table of human food and alcohol....
The water type sniffed at the drinks, wondering why they smelled so... strong... but shrugged it off as he downed a bottle of wine. Of course, this didn't last too long, because the rancid taste caused the poor Pokemon to spit it out, "Bui!" it gagged before knocking the fine selection of liquor to the floor and jumping away without a care in the world.
Thankfully, before the Pokemon could do any more damage, Jun got to him, and returned the feisty thing to its Pokeball for the night. Now he had another... much bigger problem to deal with. His master... The High Tyto. She was here....
"Hound, houndour!" Tzila barked, flicking her head to the side. There was no mistaking it. Nyroc was stalking someone that seemed to have just made it to the party.... but why? A lightbulb came on in Jun's head, and suddenly, he knew that this was more than just Nyroc planning a silly little scheme. That was no ordinary person his leader was stalking. It was Kamui.
"Shit," he muttered to himself. "Ryder! Tzila, we got to get her out of here. I'm not losing the only friend I have, High Tyto or not."
Walk away from the sun, come slowly undone I can see in your eyes I've already won I could bleed for a smile, I could cry for some fun Walk away from the sun, and tell everyone....
And Jun was right. Nyroc, The High Tyto, was indeed being a party crasher.... though, she did not care that some of her Pure Ones were in attendance. No, she would be patient tonight... wait for Kamui to be in the right spot for an opportune strike. The right time to show him... and the rest of the world, that The Pure Ones had arrived.
"Hatred is a thing of beauty," she said to herself in a singsong voice as she watched a figure retreat from the crowed. "Isn't that right, Jun Manjoume? You'll be back, my Pure One. My call is one you'll respond to when you are needed, but for now... for now fearing me is just fine...." She trailed off into a vicious laugh, but it was drowned out by the sounds of the party.
Oh, this would be a beautiful day indeed.
"Argh.. what the hell?" Ezio thought to himself as he caught the flash of the Dragonite's attack in the corner of his eyes, causing him to flinch and remember his Castform, his pokemon he let out not too long ago that he almost forgot about. Quickly scanning the room for Viento, Ezio eventually found him with a woman in a burgundy dress. Not exactly sure what his Castform was doing, Ezio quickly made his way over.
"Cast Cast"[/i] Viento replied cheerfully as he remembered meeting Elayne on the mountain. Nodding in response to her question, Viento smiled as she made her way to the balcony only to turn around to face his trainer.
"Viento you ok? Who was that just then?" Ezio asked with a worried tone. Viento nodded with his usual smile before appearing as if he had just remembered something. Could he really have forgotten this quickly? Grabbing Ezio's sleeve and tugging it along, forcing Ezio to follow him to the balcony.
Having no other choice but to follow his trusty Castform, Ezio was led through the crowd towards the balcony. "Heh Viento" he laughed, "where are you taking me?"
Upon nearing the balcony, Ezio was able to clearly see a woman on the balcony, looking out over the view. Catching himself staring for a moment, Ezio swallowed before turning to look back at his Castform who had now gone off and gotten a rose. Grabbing the rose before tilting his head, Ezio turned back to look at the woman then back at Viento. Something about her just seemed so familiar, he wasn't sure what but, could it be her?
Viento pointed, with some part of his body that Ezio wasn't sure was exactly, at the rose then at the woman, before pushing Ezio towards Elayne. Still unsure about his Castform's intentions, Ezio conceited and walked over to the woman. "Enjoying the party?" Ezio asked casually.
When Miguel saw Ava's tears, his heart broke and he gently wrapped her into an embrace in an attempt to comfort her even as she continued to speak. After listening to her request he felt tears come into his own eyes when Ava told him what she had gotten herself into. "As you wish Lady Avelina...I will not tell you what you would not wish to hear..."he said in a quiet voice even as he pulled away from her so he could look into her eyes,"I will do my best to find the man and tell him that his princess is waiting..."
Even as he said these words, his heart clenched at the realization of the situation Ava was in. "Lady Avelina...what have you gotten yourself into princess..."he thought as he hugged Ava once again, hoping to quench the tears and the pain that she was feeling at that moment.
~~~
Upon hearing Ezio's voice, relief flooded Elayne as she turned around to face him. "I was beginning to wish I'd never come..."she answered quietly, looking down at the ground as she spoke,"The only reason I came was because you asked me to..."
Finally looking up again, she giggled at Viento's exasperated expression and looked at Ezio. "Do you not recognize me...Ezio?"she asked in a kind, quiet voice, almost dreading the impending reply. What if he didn't remember her, what if he was meeting someone else...? Thoughts swirled through her mind as panic began to seize control of her mind and she looked back down at the ground as her face began to turn hot with embarrassment.
