It was fast approaching dusk and the moon was just peeking over the horizon as the sun made its final decent, making the clouds to appear a brilliant pink mixed with red. The clouds looked like smoke against the red and pink of the sky making it seem as if the sky was indeed on fire. As the sun sank even further, lights blinked on in the nearby amusement park, lighting up the ferris wheel and numerous other rides, lighting the way for the people that were still content to remain in the park. The numerous lights made it impossible to see the few stars that were just beginning to appear but nobody seemed to mind, the rides were much more amazing then the stars seemed to be that night. The water reflected the lights in the amusement park as it washed upon the beach, but nobody seemed to notice this either, or stop to listen to the relaxing sound of the waves. Outside the park was a lone girl on a bench, humming a happy tune as she watched the sun cast its last rays over the ocean before finally disappearing in a glimmer of red light.
"Wasn't that amazing Chrissy? The sky was on fire! I wonder where Cuzzy Ali is? He promised that he'd meet me here..." she said in a thoughtful voice before shrugging her shoulders, " Oh well, the stars are pretty tonight anyway, right Chrissy?"
Chrissy waved her arms up and down happily, giggling and singing a happy song in agreement to Sofia.
Sofia giggled at Chrissy and hugged her against her chest before going back to looking at the stars.
A shooting star shot across the sky the next instant later, causing Sofia to gasp in delight.
"Did you SEE that Chrissy!? Quick, make a wish!" she exclaimed in delight before shutting her eyes to make a wish, "I wish this will be the best night ever...."
At the same time Sofia shut her eyes, Chrissy did too, but as to what the little happiny's wish would be, only she would know.
Sofia opened up her eyes once again and looked back up at the stars, swinging her legs back and forth and humming a happy tune to pass the time while she waited for Alaric to show up.
