Og, those swords meant he'd need to--

...WHAT was that the Absol just said? Even Gallade wasn't sure, but after the Dark Pokemon made a mean face and said...SOMEthing aggravating, the Gallade found he couldn't strategize much anymore, and just wanted to hurt that Absol as much as he could.

Using the first attack that came to mind, the Gallade's right arm suddenly gained a hard, rough texture as he jumped forward and used the blade on it to execute a Stone Edge.

[OOC: I think you were thinking of Torment when you said keep using the same attack? I mean Taunt was probably actually a better choice for the situation, as it doesn't let the foe use moves that don't do damage. o3o but yeah. Just thought I'd clarify that I WAS taking your command into account and all.]

Nightmare watched the Gallade, as it came at him with a stone edge attack. Getting hit the the attack, he jumped back. His icy blue eyes flashing as he thought about the best move to use now. With reflect still up, it was limiting what attacks he could use. Thinking fast he struck with a flash attack, before he struck with an icy wind attack. However, the flash attack did effect him as well, and he wasn't sure if the icy wind would even hit.

The Reflect was beginning to fade, and though it would still reduce the power of physical attacks, it wouldn't be as effective as some seconds ago.

The Flash blinded the Gallade momentarily, who closed his eyes to help it go away. Thus, he was hit by the Icy Wind attack without even trying to dodge. The ice crystals stuck to his skin and made him cold--not enough to Freeze him by any means, but he was a bit slower than before.

Eyes still closed, he fired off a Signal Beam, barely able to remember past his rage that as a Bug-energy'd-attack, that should (hopefully) hurt the Absol quite a bit. ...As long as it hit. It damn well better hit, damnit.

Nightmare was still blinded by the flash, and didn't have time to move out of the way. Getting blasted by the Signal Beam he let out a cry. Stepping back, he shook his head, as the flash started to wear off. After a few more minutes the room was black again, and he could see. Looking at the Gallade his icy blue eyes flashed as he came rushing forward with a faint attack.

Even had the Gallade been able to see again yet--he was not naturally nocturnal, and thus his eyes were still adjusting to the dark room--he couldn't have dodged, for the Absol seemed to disappear and reappear behind him for a never-fails Faint Attack. Though he was hurt a fair amount by this, he managed to ignore the the pain and aim some almost-clumsy kicks and punches in the direction the pain had come from--that is, a Close Combat attack at where he hoped the Absol still was. His Reflect had almost fully faded, and would almost certainly be gone entirely in the next few seconds, and the Gallade's mind was starting to clear.

Nightmare smirked to himself when his attack hit, but soon he heard the sound of the Gallade attacking. Quickly jumping up, he was hit by half the attack, but it was still enough to push him back. Panting a bit the Absol glared at the pokemon in front of him, even though he took have the close combat attack, it was super effective on him. Giving himself a shake, he ran towards the Gallade with another night slash attack.

His mind was less rage-enthralled than before, but still something made the Gallade want to attack and only attack. He saw the Absol charge at him again, but rather than dodge, he closed his mind to focus...focus...when he felt the foe's painful Night Slash tear into his arm, he opened his eyes and released the energy he'd built up in those seconds before in the form of Focus Blast. He hoped that in this proximity, it would not miss.

Wicked's own icy blue eyes narrowed when he heard another cry from his pokemon. Nightmare was taking some powerful hits, watching as Nightmare jumped back now facing the Gallade head on. "Double team, then lets use your shadow ball." Watching the clones from of Nightmare, and as energy gathered in their mouths. He smirked when the dark orb was shot out, as the clones stayed standing. But even though he could see Nightmare standing tall right now, he saw his pokemon taking deeper breaths, and he knew that he was getting tired from all this.

As the white, fluffy carnivore projected copies of himself, the Gallade tried to keep track of which one was the real one. He was normally good at the hidden-pea cup game, but... As he tried to figure out where to aim his next attack, the foe's Shadow Ball hit the Gallade and knocked him back some ways. Ow, that hurt like a--with evolving, he could stand dark-energy, but not the shadows-energy that were...only subtly different usually, but now knocked the wind out of the Gallade for a few seconds.

The pain brought him fully to his sense, and put up a Protect so he could collect his thoughts for a few moments without worrying of an attack.

Nightmare watched the Gallade as it was hit by the dark ball of energy. Keeping his clones out, he saw the protect come up. He didn't attack, instead he just waited for the wild pokemon to make a move. His icy blue eyes glowing in the dark, these icy blue eyes matched Wicked's perfectly. His talons lightly digging into the ground, as he judged what his next attack should be.

The Gallade collected his thoughts, and got back into action. He put up a Reflect, popping his Protect in the process, and moved forward, aiming a punch powered by Brick Break at the foe. However, he was fairly slow, both from his still chilled-muscles due to the Icy Wind earlier, as well as his fairly low health.

Nightmare watched as the Gallade used another reflect, growling to himself. However when the Gallade came to strike him with a brick break he was able to move out of the way in time. Running around to come from behind the Gallade the dark energy gathered in his mouth again. The shadow ball had done the most damage, so he was going to take advantage of that. Letting out another shadow ball, he wondered if this one would hit as well.

The Reflect did nothing to stop the Shadow Ball, the dark ball passing right through the wall of energy as if it weren't there at all. He staggered in pain as he absorbed the energy, very close to fainting now. However, he still hung on, if only barely. He stepped forward and executed an X-scissor attack--however, it was at least three feet to the left of the Absol, as the Gallade was rather dizzy from the pain.

Benjamin smirked as he looked at the Gallade, once it let out another attack. By what he was seeing it was getting weaker and weaker. Nightmare dodged the attack by using his double team, and letting his clones take the hit for him. Figureing that it was weak enough to catch, he threw a pokeball at it. Nightmare standing ready in case the Gallade did break free.

The Gallade was too tired to dodge the ball in time, and it sucked him in with a bright red beam of light.

As he was inside the ball, struggling to get free, the Gallade couldn't stop thinking of his family. I must...I must protect them! The ball shook once, twice, then--broke in two halves, as the Gallade reappeared. He stood there, breathing hard, still ready to--...the Trainer was headed towards the rooms that the Gallade called home. Maybe not specifically to them, but in the same direction. He would not allow that. Instead of trying to fight to the last, then, he tried to run away--not too fast, of course, as he was trying to make sure the Trainer and Pokemon followed him, away from his family.

This. This is why he patrolled the rooms at night. He didn't like it, but it was the best option.

[OOC: I used the official game equation for determining if the Pokemon was caught, since I didn't see a specific way that it was supposed to be modded posted up or anything. o3o Sorry that you lost a Pokeball on that. 'x3;]

Benjamin narrowed his eyes when the ball spilt in half, and the pokemon popped out. It turned to run away, "Its not going to happen Gallade, Nightmare hit it with night slash." He watched as the red furred pokemon covered the ground quickly, his claws glowing with darkness as he aimed the night slash at the Gallade. The Gallade was tired, but it still had enough energy to break free from the ball.

Tripping as he tried to dodge, the Gallade was hurt quite a bit by the slash--the fall combined with a lucky strike at his vulnerable belly resulted in a Critical Hit, and the Gallade fainted.

BENJAMIN WICKED

Benjamin smirked as the attack hit, and the Gallade was knocked out cold. As soon as it fainted, Nightmare came back to his side watching his owner with icy blue eyes. He threw another pokeball at it, hoping that this time it wouldn't break open. He saw the Nightmare was worn out, but he wouldn't recall the pokemon until he was fainted, and Nightmare knew that fact well. There was no room for slackers on his team.

The ball shook once...twice...three times...Success!

Personality: Very protective of those he holds dear, he will do anything to keep them out of harm's way. However, he is very distrustful of anyone he doesn't know well, and will not grow to like and trust his trainer as quickly as others might, resenting that this Trainer took him out of his happy life as a wild Pokemon.

He took another glance at Nightmare, who was staring at the ball until it stopped shaking. Once he had collected the ball he turned around, and walked deeper into the castle and soon spotted a small pond in the middle of a room. His eyebrow lifted, wondereding how that had manged to stay in the castle through all the years. It was still dark out, being is eye sight wasn't as good as it was during the day, but Nightmare's was perfect at night.
