Want a shadow? (Not that kind xP)

So. Ever so slowly, SG has been working on two new characters: Ryan (age 28) and Kitty (age 6). Ryan is Kitty's (much) older brother, who recently quit the Yakuza to seek a normal life and raise Kitty after their dad was killed and their mom went crazy as a result, at least until mom gets better and can take her back.

So question is this. Would anyone be interested in 'babysitting' Kitty now and then? This would entail having known the family fairly well prior to the event, and hence being someone Kitty knows and trusts. This person likely wouldn't have met Ryan, or only in passing, until just recently after he started caring for Kitty, since he left home long ago and had only in recent years started occasionally visiting again. Whether family friend likes him, is unsure but respects what he's trying to do, thinks he's still a delinquent and would rather see Kitty taken from him, or whatever is entirely up to player. x3

This would preferably not be an active noble (the ones who ran away/abandoned/etc their position are fine); 16 minimum age, 18+ preferred. Exactly what relationship char had with family is up to player. (S)he could've been a sitter for Kitty before or a good friend of one or both parents or the next-door neighbor or whatever. :3


To be clear, I am not ASKING someone to take this role. I'm asking if anyone ENJOYS the thought of RPing with a 6-yr-old shadow tagging along in a few threads. I don't MIND Ryan having her all the time, though it would certainly be nice if it was easier to justify times he didn't. If no one is interested, though, I can always just leave her out of a thread and make mention she's with an ambiguous nameless sitter somewhere, etc. :3 So yar.


Any decently mature/responsible-ish chars interested? ^^

Jaxa is pretty mature, even with the personal dram, he would be able to take care of a kid, and keep her safe. But, for some reason, I doubt Ryan would be willing to let his six year old sister go with a guy who walks around with his jacket/shirt mostly open. *SHOT*

More seriously, it'd depend on Jaxa's prior relationship with Kitty/the family. x3 Did you have any thoughts?

Well, in theory, while Jaxa was growing up he /could/ have been babysat by her parents whenever Xai had to work or something, and thus him growing up being close to the family. And when they had a kid who needed someone to watch it, he could have sort of repaid them by offering to watch her? I dunno, lol.

..Eh. That one doesn't really work given the timeline, unless just maybe if they were neighbors or something too. In that case, since when Jaxa was 9 Ryan was 16, and that is about the time he ran off, maybe his parents kind of would have taken pity on Jaxa in a matter of "we just lost our son and they just lost their parent" and offered to help Xai. They'd just have to have known him prior in order to have a reason to take interest.

I have Candra...I'd say she's pretty mature, considering the fact that she's flipping thirty. xD

She could have been employed by the parents, and thus end up baby sitting them the few times she visited the region...

But why would parents hire a sitter who was only there briefly off and on over someone who actually lived within even a 50 mile radius? o3o

SG, well yea, they could have been neighbors. And Xai and Ryan could have been friends, considering theres only a three year gap there I think, causing him/Jaxa to have been close to their family. I mean it isn't unusual for guys to be friends with other guys a few years older. *shrugs*

Edit: There is actually only a two year gap, for their ages, Xai and Ryan that is.

Soleh totally loves kids, but since she'll be like 18 at most...yeah, I doubt they /could/ know each other. xD;

On the other hand, Layton's (obviously) good for kids too, and since I'm putting him at about 40, could totally know the family.

Well I just finished reading what you have on the bios and now my brain is shipping Jalicia and Ryan soo hard because she's a flirt and he's <3 and *shot shot shot*

aaaanyway Jalicia does stay in one place because of salon and it would be more plausible given her nature to be nosy that she would know them and since she has little bros and sisters of her own she would adore Kitty and she could even know younger siblings of Jalicia's and yeah. I think it would be adorable to see Jalicia being followed by said little girl and I keep thinking of Jalicia's Pokemon and how they would just SPOIL that little girl lulz because Nerina-Oshawott loves to play dress up and Muffin-lilipup would love Kitty too (she loves all peoples but shhh) and yeah, not to mention there's an entire room of things Kitty would/may love and yeah.

Jalicia is perfect. x3 And Elayne is active. xD ...And SG SERIOUSLY needs to finish these chars.. x''3;;; I've had odd inspiration for it lately that's been eating at me though, so I'll probably discuss details with you later today in IM to establish exact relationship and use that to pump out a bs'd summary of history for each at least fairly soon.
