Of shiny things [open/mod]

Finn was jolted away when a shiny eevee pounced on his stomach with enough force to make him gag. Looking up and around, he shoved Nurru away and walked over to the window. Though teh city's walls blocked out the sunrise, he could still see the light streaming in above the walls. He returned most of his sleeping pokemon to their pokeballs and left out the little eevee, figuring it'd do her good to waste some of her obviously pent up energy.

Traveling downstairs, he met the sleepy night concierge and slapped down a few bills to cover his room. It was the last of his money stores, and he would have to go 'hunting' again soon to restore it. He promptly strode out the door into the morning, breathing deeply and stretching his arms in a wide arc above his head.

The dark haired woman sat up finally off the roof and stretched before sighing and actually starting to climb down to her room again. The Beldum who seemed more interested in playing simply started up and raced around in the air above the inn and then around it. Celestia dived to get away from Aster who dived after her, and both seemed to drop down straight in front of Finn. After, Lumina came up down from where she had stopped to watch the other two Beldum chase each other. All three finally exchanged worried glances and looked at themselves and then to Finn and back again.

Nero took up her small bag of things inside and made her way down the stairs and towards the front desk. Paying with what she could, Nero walked towards the front and opened the door only to find all three of her Beldum staring at Finn. She blinked a moment and sighed. "What are you three doing?" she asked rather dryly. All three seemed wanting to get out of Finn's sight no matter his facial expression and quickly dived behind Nero.

In fact, Finn's expression was pointedly blank as he watched the Beldum flit about through the air. He wasn't sure about them, they didn't really look like most pokemon he had ever seen. Turning his head away when Nero came out, he eyed his silver Eevee without much thought. The little pup stared back at him, finding it more of a game than anything else.

Feeling considerably better after a night's rest, he gazed out the gates to the city. Should he tackle those harsh dunes now that he was better stocked? There seemed not much else to do, even if he had his Pelipper fly him somewhere else, he was going to be in the sun. Repressing a sigh, he turned back towards Nero, framing a question in his mind. "So, Ms. Planless. Feel like training?"

Nero nearly recoiled for a second as Finn addressed her as a woman. Most wouldn't have even guessed... some would have decided she was male... but just to out right go at the belief shew as female was just... mmm.... However, after a moment, she nodded her head a bit. "Training would be good," she answered back with a calm nod as she thought on Asa in comparison with her other pokemon... well.. between Asa and the baby pokemon... heck even Raya was stronger than him....depending on the battle.

Finn blinked in confusion for a second as Nero flinched away from his comment. Maybe he had got the gender wrong? It was nearly impossible to tell, he just took a flying leap of a guess, and based it mostly on the fact that women would probably have a tantrum if you called them a man, but calling a man a woman might be less of a reaction. He mentally shrugged the whole ordeal off, and decided to stick to safe the safe zones like 'you' or 'hey there' when addressing the trainer from now on.

He led the way back out into the sands, the sun not yet beating down. The air had a bitter bite to it, a slight frost hanging on the cactus blooms as they walked out. The desert seemed to be one mass of contradictions, and Finn wasn't sure he was enjoying it. His sharp, dark eyes scanned the area for any early risers, ready to put Nurru to the test.

Nero followed suit out into the sand and stared for a good minute and a half. Taking out Asa's pokeball, Nero was about to release him when she stopped halfway. She had remembered her fire pony that had come as sort of a 'follow me' movement back at Era castle and decided that she would be a better choice being able to deal with the heat around her. Releasing Ember, Nero watched as the light reformed into the Ponyta. The young horse seemed to adore the weather and stamped her feet happily. However, this lasted less than a second as she became quiet once more. With one pokemon out, Nero decided she'd wait to use another unless necessary.

[Maid Melody]

The sound of laughter was heard as a Bonsly appeared out of a small cavern, being chased by a Magby. The Bonsly was having so much fun in fact that she wasn't looking where she was going and ran straight into the Ponyta's leg, stumbling backwards before proceeding to cry out of hurt and fear, kicking her legs as she tried to get back up again.

The Magby saw the Bonsly and rushed over to her, helping her to her feet, ignoring the Ponyta completely out of her concern for the Bonsly.

Nurru watched the scene with interest, her little black eyes lighting up as the new pokemon got so close. Her silver tail lashed quickly, and her hauches were thrust inot the air as she leaned forward. Her muscled coiled, unleashed, springing her inot the air and atop the Magby. Waiting for no orders, she promptly began gnawing with a Bite attack on the fire type's bubbly head.

The Ponyta was not shaken by being knocked into. She was far too calm for that. Nero stared for a flat minute before sighing outwards and crossing her arms in front of herself. "Ember," she said aloud as not the name of an attack but the actual name of the horse. "Don't bother with them. Look for something stronger." With that, the Ponyta nodded a bit and started out and away from the smaller pokemon.

[Maid Melody]

The Bonsly stopped crying when she was helped out but a moment later her friend was being attacked! Frowning and issuing a battle cry, she aimed a low kick at the Eevee, furious.

The Magby cried out in pain when the Eevee bit him before using Smog which came out of his head, exactly where the Eevee was biting him.

[Puppet]

The Eevee coughed and hacked violently, having taken the smog right to the face. Almost immediately after, the Bonsly kicked her off the Magby's head, and she rolled into the sand. Bristling and hacking, her eyes practically glowed with a firey hatred, energy radiating. Finn walked over and grabbed her up by her silvery scruff, Nurru yipping in suprise and indignance. "Sorry." the trainer muttered to the two baby pokemon as the walked away, and followed Nero to find more worthy an advesary. However, Finn doubted his little eevee would be cut out for whatever they found.

[Maid Melody]

The Magby and Bonsly watched as the trainer picked up the Eevee and walked away. The Bonsly walked over to her friend to make sure he was OK but after determining this was true, ran off to continue their game of tag.

Up ahead, a small tink, tink, tink sound could be heard as a Skorupi used his tail to throw pebbles at a much larger rock. It appeared to be trying to knock a branch free from on top of the rock that held a few berries.

[Jay]

Seeing the pokemon up ahead, Nero blinked at the action that it was preforming. Looking towards her Ponyta, back at the rock, and then at the Ponyta again, Nero made a directional point towards the rock. "Bounce," she almost sighed. "And knock the branch down." With that, the Ponyta jumped in the air and made to knock the branch down. It came calling down along with a few of the berries, and after a moment, the fire horse backed up quickly.

Nurru squirmed indignantly in Finn's grasp until he return her to her pokeball with a shake of his head. The pokemon was just too much for him, he'd have a hard time training her into anything worth keeping. Instead, he pulled out the poochyena-eevee hybrid and released it. The dog pokemon looked like it almost had rabbit ears, and it shook it's bushy brown tail out gracefully. Looking up at it's trainer, then back to the scene, it watched as the other trainer ordered her pokemon to help out the Skorupi. Nakka seemed deeply moved by the act, something in his core feeling the rightness of it. Finn just watched indifferently, having no interest in the pokemon or helping it.

The Skorupi cheered when the berries fell and scrambled over to them, eating them happily before suddenly remembering the Ponyta. Taking a few of the berries she walked over to the Ponyta and offered some up to her.
<"Thanks for helping! Want some?">she asked in a bright, cheerful voice.

[Jay]

The fire horse nodded and took a few of the berries gently eating them. Mmmmm berries...~ was possibly the only thing that went through the Ponyta's mind. Nero said nothing to this but brought up her hand and ran it along the Ponyta's back more or less telling her without words that it was time to go. The fire horse looked up again, stared a moment, sighed, and nodded. Nero looked back at Finn and seemed to stare a moment. "Let's keep going," she said rather monotone before starting to walk on again with her Ponyta now following suit.

His head snapped back out of his day dream, and nodded before following behind. Nakka leapt at his heels, eager and ready for a challenge. Finn blinked at the sunlight unhappily, pulling his bandana lower along his sweating brow. Now that the sun had begun to rise fully, the heat seemed to almost leak back into the land.

The Skorupi smiled when the Ponyta ate the berries and tilted her head to the side, curious as to where they were going before following the Ponyta.

A little up ahead, a Miltank was walking, oblivious to the small group as she went about her business.

Ember was a tad thrown off at being followed by the other pokemon, yet Nero didn't seem fazed by it and continued walking on as if it was not even there. Every few seconds, Em would look back at the Skorupi unsure of what to do. What Nero caught sight of next made her nod a bit. A Miltank...hmm.....

[Puppet]

Finn spotted the Milktank, his muscles tensing a bit. The pokemon was a walking poke center waiting to be caught! With the rarities of healing areas these days, pokemon like chansey and milktank were way too valuable to pass up. Nakka was already riveted upon the creature, his muscles twitching in anticipation. The trainer leaned down, stroking the little pup behind the ears and glancing up at the bovine. He tapped the dog on it's rump, inching it closer to the foe. It moved cautiously forward at first, passing up Nero and her team, then loped the rest of the way to the Milktank's side. Then he decided upon the strangest move, he began to sing as his attacl. Not the sing that lulled you to sleep, no this was the harsh Sing A Round variation. His barks were intentionally off key and quite destructive in nature.
