The Pidgeot circled high, silently gliding on the winds as it watched for the moment when the Cyndaquil would pop back up. The moment would never come though, because Afton quickly strode over and reached to pull the pokemon out of the snow, and back on it's feet. What was a fire type doing out here in the winter, anyway? Didn't they hibernate, or something? Sure they might not freeze, but it didn't seem very ideal. Waving politely to the pokemon, he brushed his golden hair out of his face and bent over to get a better look at the fire-type. His Baffuron joined at his side, still carrying the sticks for a fire, and giving the Pidgeot a dirty look.

Set back upright again, the female Cyndaquil stared up at the man and blinked for a few seconds. "Cysa?" she asked unsure of what he was doing there in the right. After a moment, she brushed the rest of the snow off of her and then remembered her manners. Rubbing the back of her head, the small fire type smiled a bit towards the man and began to ask politely how he was.

Afton watched the pokemon with a hint of interest on his face, though it showed no other emotion or recognition towards the Cyndaquil having done much more than stare back. Though he was becoming more proficient at reading human lips, there wasn't a chance he would understand anything a pokemon said, hearing or not. He turned towards the Baffuron, who tilted and dumped the pile of timberwood into the snow. He's a bit hard of hearing, the buffalo began, trying to make up for his trainer's rude behavior. Don't mind him. Want to just set up the fire down here? he offered, not wanting to risk the Pidgeot again.

<Ah....> was what the Cyndaquil answered back with nodding to herself for a moment before thinking on the idea of making the fire there and nodding. Remembering she needed a few rocks to encircle the fire so that it would not spread, the Cyndaquil began to look around. Not far off a Seel was moving by through the snow oblivious to anyone around him.

Afton sat down in the snow beside the wood as his Baffuron moved off without telling him where he was going. Taking it as a sign to not follow, he decided to go back to star gazing instead. As soon as the Cyndaquil had moved off a ways in search of rocks, he quietly returned the Pidgeot which circled overhead.
The bull pokemon scrapped his hooves over the snow, unearthing the frozen ground beneath in his search for rocks. After a few moments of this, he grew impatient, and swung his afro'd head in an arch. His nostrils flared, front hooves stamped, and he summoned a Rock Slide from the hill. Now they'd have more than enough.

The Rock Slide spooked the Cyndaquil and made her spurt short bursts of flames off of her back. However, after a moment, she was calm again and seemed to understand as she tarted picking up the rocks and arranging them before finally starting to put the wood in the middle and finally using a small fire attack to light the fire.

Afton moved forward, holding his hands up to the flames. The Baffuron plopped down beside it with a great 'whumph' of a sigh, his legs curling beneath him. Angling his neck out, he breathed into the fire, fanning it's flames into life. The light reflected off his dark eyes, giving them a depth and darkness. So what're you doing out here? Don't you have someplace to go when it's so cold? He felt some concern for the little Cyndaquil, though she was a fire-type, enough chill could easily wear down anyone's stamina.

<I don't really have a home, but I'm ok....> the Cyndaquil answered back more or less addressing the other pokemon's question a different way. <Sometimes I'll go towards town and stay by a warm door or something...> The Cyndaquil eyed the human a moment but didn't say anything.

The Bafffuron visibly frowned, not sure he believed the Cyndaquil. But doesn't that get lonely? He couldn't imagine being alone, after being with at least other pokemon his entire life. Even if his current team was a rag tag group, at least they were some company. You simply seem too nice to be doomed to such a fate. The pokemon was being whole heartedly honest, as the bull held some pride in his inability to successfully lie.

The Cyndaquil sighed a bit to herself. <It's not like I like being alone... I just... kinda end up that way....> the Cyndaquil sighed a bit to herself shaking her head in the process and staring at the fire that she had started herself.

The Baffuron looked away, feeling great empathy for the Cyndaquil. The life of a wild pokemon might appeal to some, but he doubted it would ever apply to himself. He wasn't sure if the fire-type preferred it, or just was forced to live by it. Only one way to find out. Would you like to travel with us? At least you'd have company. It's not all about fighting. It's about the adventure. This guy here isn't much of a trainer, he doesn't really tell us what to do. Please? I'd hate knowing that I left you out here for somebody or something far worse to enslave or eat...you're just...so nice. He looked away again blushing beneath his thick fur.

A bright blush seemed to take to the face of the Cyndaquil as she listened to the Baffuron's words. <I'd love to!> she almost shouted before looking down as though nervous and wishing she hadn't blurted it out so loudly. <I mean... if... you guys would like some company and....> she tried to regain her composure but lost it again.

The Baffuron burst out into a huge grin. That's great!! he shouted, equally as loud I-I mean... he stuttered for a moment, and then couldn't help but laugh to himself. Turning to Afton, he nudged the man lightly on the shoulder to get his attention. The trainer turned his head away from the stars, staring at his pokemon expectantly. The buffalo gently nudged his pocket, hoping to convey the need for a pokeball. Afton fumbled with it for a moment, first displaying the Baffuron's own pokeball, getting denied, then realizing that they might need an empty one. It grew within his palm from it's marble size too a large sphere, and he held it out towards the Cyndaquil without much expression. His pokemon nodded and smiled encouragingly.

The Cyndaquil stepped towards the ball a little worried at first but then confident as she finally pressed the ball open herself and went inside. The ball itself did not move at all but simply dinged a capture.
Name: Species: Cyndaquil Gender: Female Ability: Blaze Personality: Kind hearted and rather good natured, this Cyndaquil will stand by her trainer always. Though she dislikes battling, she will fight when she is asked to but would rather settle things through peaceful talks. She will often help others in need and thus is actually very popular among other pokemon for her pure hearted ways.

Afton stared blankly at the pokeball for a few moments, not really sure just what happened or why. But as his light brown eyes turned towards the pokemon beside him, it's reassuring and pleased look seemed to signify that something good had happened. The trainer flipped back open the tattered journal to cyndaquil's page. It's breeding classification was Ground...Ground huh? He knew there was something extra special in the look the Baffuron was giving her. Smirking a bit at the humor of it, he returned the book and pokeball to his pockets. They would stay by the fire a little longer before moving on.

A few hundred meters off, quiet feet stepped on a branch in the snow causing a general crack that caused the bearer of the feet to step back and look around a bit worried that it had been heard. A Zigzagoon was looking around in the moonlight with a careful eye.

The Baffuron looked up at the sound, his gaze casting around for the source. Spotting the Zigzagoon, he decided to leave it alone. Mostly he was just tired, and wanted to sleep by the fire rather than go tramping after the thing. Afton's eyes were beginning to droop, and he took no notice of the pokemon.

The Zigzagoon continued on thankful to not be attacked. Not far off, a Seel was sliding down the snow slopes as though having some sort of odd game with himself.

Comfortable around the fire, Afton moved closer and buried himself in his pokemon's fur. Baffuron didn't seem to notice at all, and they both promptly fell asleep. The Cyndaquil burst out of her pokeball, looking up to see the two snoring lightly. She quickly sheathed her quills and snuggled in between.

The night continued on, and the fire died sometime through said night. As the morning sun began to rise, quiet feet could be heard walking in the snow. An Absol walked rather quietly not far off as he appeared to be heading somewhere.
