On a cold overcast day, Oboro found herself in a forest.Oboro trudged in snow that went mid-calf. Within her boots, she felt her toes starting to get numb and within her arms, she held Vixey, her selfish vulpix. Mostly because of how bitterly cold it was. Oboro wasn't one to withstand the cold for very long. So, to Oboro, she held Vixey for warmth, but to Vixey, it was because she was the favorite and Oboro loved her the most.
Oboro made her way under a tree, where there was not as much snow. She sat upon a fallen log, and put Vixey next to her, which the vulpix did not like one bit. She started prodding and openly complaining, but they didn't phase Oboro one bit. Oboro stood up and quickly began searching for sticks. After about ten minutes she found herself a decent bundle, and she placed it a pile. She then grabbed a pokeball and released her houndoom, Phantom. The houndoom stood next to Oboro, his head up high. Oboro half smiled upon him, "Can you help me start a fire, pretty please?" she said, petting his head gently.
Phantom grinned, and then used ember to start a small fire. Oboro let out a sigh of relief, and sat down her hands over the fire, making the best of its warmth. Vixey glared at Phantom, and then tried to get in Oboro's lap. Oboro looked at Vixey, and frowned slightly, "Make yourself useful and get some wood, Vixey." she said. Vixey moaned loudly in defiance, but she did what she was told and then pranced off into the forest. Oboro watched Vixey leave, and then looked at Phantom, "Go with her, try to get more wood than her." she said with a wink.
Phantom brightened up, a challenge!? He immediately jumped to his paws and bounded after Vixey, no matter what he was going to beat her, even if it was just getting more wood than her. He always wanted to be the top dog, and the best at everything.
The vulpix and houndoom searched for wood in the forest, while Oboro sat by herself next to the campfire.
