She really hadn't meant to come out here, she really didn't want to but she was out here anyways. She hated the cold, but ice type pokemon were something she needed on her team to make it even stronger. Her brother had always loved ice types how they could run in the snow without any trouble at all. Sometimes she wished she were an ice type so the cold wouldn't bug her. Next to her her Infernape glared at her, Hephaestus was just as unhappy about this as she was, but at least he had his warm fur and his fire attacks to keep him from shivering. Walking away from the village she took a worn down path out farther hoping that this would lead to a better area to find pokemon at.

A Spearow hopped around in the snow a short distance away. It seemed as if the bird pokemon was looking for something...

Jasmine sighed to herself as she looked at her Infernape that was looking around. She saw a bird pokemon on the ground, and it looked like it was looking for something. Feeling a shiver pass her she walked off the beaten path, and into the deeper snow. Swearing under her breath, she did her best to walk in the snow without sinking into the snow.

The Spearow was so intent on finding berries in the snow that he almost didn't hear Jasmine approaching. Hearing the girl swear, he turned around to see her walking into deeper snow and tilted his head to once side, wondering why she was doing that when it looked like the girl was cold enough already.

Hephaestus looked back at the bird to see it pecking at the ground for berries and sighed to himself. The Infernape was fine as long as he was the only fire type pokemon out, but if Jasmine let Hera out, then it would turn into a fight. Looking around the money like pokemon walked close to Jasmine. Heating himself up even more for the girl, and as they walked he was glad to find a spot that the snow was deeper in. It looked like it had been walked in a little bit, but more by pokemon. Still it was better then that deep snow they were in a few seconds ago.

The Spearow shrugged and went back to pecking for berries, deciding that the girl wasn't that interesting after all.
Up ahead a cheerful song could be heard as a Snover walked happily on the path.

Jasmine was looking ahead of her when she heard Hephaestus cry out next to her, and turned her head to see what he was looking at. She saw a small ice type pokemon quick she noticed as a Snover. "Hit it with fire blast." Young and weak now, a Snover in its final form was something that Jasmine found powerful. Watching as the fiery x went flying at the ice type she smirked to herself.

The Snover was caught off guard with the Fire Blast and knocked off of her feet. Fire Blast was super effective and powerful as well. It was a surprise that she hadn't fainted right off the bat but the Snover wasn't about to give up so easily even if she couldn't win, she would go down fighting. Struggling to her feet, she used Powder Snow to attempt to freeze the Infernape, knowing that she would probably lose this battle.

Hephaestus felt the cold chill come over him as the wild ice type attacked him with powder snow. He gave himself a shake taking the full attack, but it didn't to much to him. In fact it only seemed to make him mad as he aimed a flamethrower at the ice type without even waiting for an order from Jasmine.

The Snover was unable to dodge the attack and fainted, falling backwards in the snow.

Jasmine smiled when the two fire attacks hit the wild Snover, and once it fell to the ground she threw a pokeball at it. It was always a nice pokemon to have on her team, even if it seemed to be rather weak. None the less an ice type was an ice type. Looking at the fire monkey she sighed, glad that he was following orders even if he had attacked without her saying anything.

The pokeball hit the Snover and sucked her inside before a resounding DING was heard indicating the Snover had been caught.

Smiling a bit to herself when the ball stay still she looked at her Infernape who was looking down the path a bit. Up ahead was a few trees, the only question was would she want to walk that far to get to them. Making up her mind she sighed, they might as well, at least in her mind she hoped that farther they got away from the village perhaps more pokemon would pop up.

As they walked on the path, a dark shape whizzed right by the both of them before sliding to a stop a few feet back. The shape in question was a Sneasel, and it looked like he wanted to fight. Without warning, the Sneasel used Icy Wind before jumping in the air, aiming at the Infernape with Fury Swipes.

Jasmine heard a cry from Hephaestus as she saw a shape run by her. Blinking in shock at the sudden attack, she soon made out the pokemon to be a Sneasel. Her Infernape was hit by both attacks the ice attack not doing much to him, but the fury swipes did to damage. "Hit it with your flamethrower!" She watched as the fire gathered in his mouth and he shot it at the fighting ice type pokemon

The Flamethrower hit the Sneasel and sent him reeling backwards, as he cringed. The Flamethrower had hurt...a lot, but he wasn't about to give up. Charging at the Infernape, he jumped, aiming a Metal Claw at the fire pokemon's face.

"Double team to dodge." The order made the Infernape make copies of himself as the Sneasel hit one of the clones. After it hit the clone it vanished and so did the rest as the Infernape stopped his double team attack. "Hit it with flamethrower again." Watching once again as the fire built up before he shot it at the ice type. Jasmine herself had always loved Sneasels, but had never gone looking for one. To her this Sneasel made it worth freezing her butt off. Shaking her head she put her mind back on the battle.

The Sneasel was once again forced backwards by the Flamethrower and growled before charging at the Infernape once again with a Faint Attack.

Jasmine watched as the faint attack did hit her pokemon, and watched as the Infernape jumped back. She watched as he attacked without an order this time, and saw that he had picked a fire blast attack. Sighing to herself, she hoped that in time he would learn not get so angry so fast. His temper was his weakness and someday it would lead to his downfall.
