Dancer's Burden~[Mod/Open]

The pier's sparkling waters reflected the image of the sun as it started to break through the horizon. A few stars were still visibly dotted across the great canvas above the city. Wonderful, august colors filled the air in shades orange and red. It was an elating scene. After all, nature is the greatest artist.

As morning had come it was time for the nocturnal entertainers to clean up and prepare for the next night's performance. Asha was not of any exception. Dressed in an elegant blue and red gown with her hair half up she was bent over picking up streamers, confetti, and other entertaining props. Satomi worked alongside her though, like her master and best friend, she was also covered in a manner of beauty with her matching costume.

Miss Axelle finished gathering her things in a mere twenty minutes. A sigh escaped her. Last night was by far one of the mistress's best nights to date. She was extremely proud of her companions. Unfortunately, the offering they received did not reflect their hard work. Asha looked at Satomi after she counted
the earnings.
"It's not much more than last night's my dear." Her dark, petite fingers ran through her luxuriously long hair. "I suppose we will simply have to make do..."

"Kir." Satomi and Asha could understand each other well. At the moment the young pokemon's full psychic abilities had not developed so talking to her master through telepathy was not an option. More so they had a sisterly bond, where even a touch could be totally and fully understood by the other while remaining completely tacit.

Asha smiled and hugged her beloved partner. The two sat on a bench for a moment. The air had a feeling about it. They simply wanted to enjoy it for a while.

[Jay]

Not far off, a Pichu more or less hopped as he made his way through the city. He stopped and got distracted by a few lights for a moment before he moved on only to catch sight of a human and a strange pokemon he had never seen before. Starting over towards them rather curiously, the Pichu finally stopped a good few meters in front of the Kirlia. "Chu?" he asked in a term that could be more or less paralleled with 'sup'.

[Olive]

Satomi turned with the Pichu's words. Though she seemed a bit annoyed that the baby pokemon would approach her with such ignorance, the psychic still managed to nod her head in reply.
"Ya, kir la," she said to her master. Asha who was in somewhat of a daze looked towards Satomi then to the Pichu. She stood up, only to crouch down to its level.
"Aw! You're adorable!!" Asha had a huge soft spot for cute pokemon, they made for very good crowd drawers. The trainer patted the electric mouse between its ears, "What are you doing out here all by yourself darling?"

[Jay]

The Pichu was surprised to be pat but seemed to giggle a bit to himself. After a moment, he stared up at the girl for a few seconds before putting both of his small hands together and looked thoughtful. "Chuu," he answered back with the word of 'walking' more or less. "Chu? Pi?" he asked wondering what she was doing there since she had asked him and he only thought it reasonable to return the question.

<sub>Though Asha acted as though she could understand the Pichu she was utterly confused on the inside. Satomi sighed when her trainer's eyes connected with her own, she did not like her spotlight stolen but would not say "no" to her best friend. "Ia, Kira," she interpreted. She then proceeded to cross her arms and sit on the bench behind the dark girl. Asha let out a small jolt of laughter. Satomi could always make her laugh, especially when she was angry.

The young woman shifted to a more comfortable position, people probably thought she was insane. It made sense. After all, she was a street performer sitting on the dawn ground talking to an electric mouse. With a cute smile she replied to the Pichu's question. "We just finished cleaning up from our performance last night!" Asha winked at the pokemon, "Did you watch us?" Easily amused Asha had a humorous tone in her voice. She was not expecting a yes from the Pichu, but she was enjoying the conversation so far so it did not hurt to play along for a bit.</sub>

[Jay]

The Pichu seemed to put a hand on his chin as though trying to remember if he had seen it or not. Hm.... After a few seconds, he shook his head and sighed out a quiet 'pi' as though saying sorry or something of that nature. However, after a few seconds, a thought occurred to him, and all at once, his mouth worked faster than his brain in developing the thought. "Pipipipchu?" he asked aloud more or less asking if she would show him something from the performance.

[Olive]

"Oh, I don't know. Satomi is probably really tired from last night," Asha replied, with a disappointed face. Satomi's proud head perked up. Any chance to she had to perform she would take it, whether she was tired or not. Immediately the small psychic jumped from the bench. Her face was that of a prepared performer, eyes and smile as confident as the day was young.

"Ia!!" she exclaimed to her partner. Ahsa sighed but nodded her head, noting Satomi that she could do it. With that, the young pokemon began its performance.

Two small hands began to spin around themselves, then suddenly, a small light started to form. The pattern continued as the silver light gained more mass. Within a matter of seconds the light was larger than Satomi herself. She smiled, and pushed the light into the sky. As she did this the light formed a sort of glittery beam. Satomi signaled to her audience to look across from her. On the other side of Asha and the Pichu was... another Kirlia? This one seemed to also have a beam in its possession, but it had sparks flying from the bright yellow that seemed to be streaming towards the other.

Without further ado, another Satomi appeared in the sky, the two beams closing in on her. She raised her hands and was engulfed by the beams. As the two touched, a radiant white light bubbled and burst with sparks, glitter, and stars flying in every direction. All of the Kirlias disappeared save the one that was attacked by the beams. She spun lightly down to the ground with the leftovers from her abilities following her. As Satomi's feet touched the ground, she raised her hands and crossed her legs. The performance was complete.

Asha applauded with a small smile. It was certainly not her best work but it showed the Pichu at least a little of what they could do.

[Jay]

o____o The Pichu's eyes were all but ready to pop out of his head. THAT WAS AMAZING :OOOO. "PIPIPICHUCHUCHUCHUC PICHU PI PICHUUUUUU!" he said clapping his hands over and over again and jumping up and down as he did so. His tiny ears bobbled up and down on his head as he jumped and grinned. However, in another moment, he accidentally released a happy electrical shock and caused sparks to fly and electrocute himself in the process. Falling over suddenly, the Pichu twitched a bit. "Chu...." he managed.

[Olive]

"Oh my gosh!" Asha exclaimed as the pokemon fell to the ground. "Are you okay darling!? Satomi can you use Heal Pulse please??" Satomi was so caught up in herself that she didn't even notice Asha was speaking to her, not until she said her name a "little" louder. The psychic held out its hands and unsuccesfully used the ability. She dropped her head in shame.

Asha sighed and touched Satomi's arm, she was tired and understood completely. With that she picked up the Pichu in her arms. "Should we bring it to the pokemon center?"

[Jay]

The Pichu had more or less an face at that point. Ah, the poor thing....Far off on the other end of the city, there was a pokemon center supposedly. If Asha wished to go there, she'd have to walk a bit (supposing that Satomi couldn't teleport of course). Farther down the street, several people were walking rather slowly.

[Olive]

Satomi's little, white arm pointed in the direction of the pokemon center. She was definitely to tired to use any more attacks so they would have to walk there. Asha nodded to her partner with a sympathetic eye.

"Ok hun, lets get you some help," she said looking at the poor pokemon she was holding in her arms. Asha and Satomi started their power walk to the pokemon center trying to avoid the people that seemed to drone around the streets.

Asha walked into the Pokemon center doing her best not to look to freaked out. This kind of thing didn't happen to her often. Not unless Li accidentally caused her some type of odd burn, but even then Satomi was strong enough to just use her Heal Pulse. She looked around then strolled to the front desk. "Excuse me, this poor Pichu electrified itself. Can we get it some help please?"

[Jay]

A pink haired woman was tending to something at the front table of the pokemon center and then looked up when she heard the voice. Her pink eyes, too well accustomed to noticing harmed pokemon, honed in on the Pichu. "Hello," she stated quickly to Asha as she walked out from behind the table. "I see... I'll take a look right now," she finished before extending both arms to take the Pichu. What appeared to be a pink haired young man was waiting in the lobby as well, yet he didn't even seem to notice that anyone was around.

[Olive]

"Thank you very much ma'am," she said to the nurse as she let her have the pokemon. Asha could've left right then but wanted to make sure the Pichu was okay first. She took out a pokeball enclosed with a ball capsule, it was decorated with a green eye and random glittery stickers. "Come on Satomi, you need to rest." Asha clicked the button in the middle cause the small red laser to hit the pokemon and retract her back in.

Asha glanced around the room and noticed the pink-haired man who also seemed to be waiting. She didn't want to wait alone so she walked over to him. "Hello there, I'm Asha. How are you today?" she asked with a comforting smile and big eyes.

[Jay]

The Nurse took the Pichu back into the back and disappeared like that. The young boy looked over towards the woman and then seemed to smile. "Hello," he answered back. "I'm good...oh my name is Jacob.... Jacob Joy," he smiled a bit rubbing the back of his head. "Did Mom take care of your pokemon?" he asked with a light smile on his face rather glad to see that there was someone to talk to.

[Olive]

"I guess we'll see," she replied with a nervous giggle. She looked the young man over. "So you're a Joy huh? I thought there were only women in that family?" Immediatly after asking that she felt dumb. That was a rather stupid comment. Asha thought, a tad bit angry that Jacob's first impression of her was probably not the best right now. She had also forgot to say her name but waited to make sure he wasn't too angry at her so he couldn't bash her show by making bad claims on her name.

[Jay]

The pink haired boy sweat dropped a bit and then made somewhat of a nervous laugh. "No...." he finally answered. "There are a few boys here and there.... in the family anyways....." he answered back finally managing to smile a bit more.

[Olive]

Asha brushed her hair back behind her ear. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ask that!" Her light brown face was certainly red and blushed. It was an embarrassing question to ask after all. Think before you speak next time you idiot! She laughed nervously again, this was a bit of an awkward conversation. Asha cleared her throat. "I'm Asha by the way," she said in hopes to change the subject quickly.

[Jay]

The pink haired boy blinked at the second introduction and then rubbed the back of his head. "It's fine," he answered back rubbing the back of his neck. "So what pokemon is Mom taking care of-...." he started only to hear the clicking of heels and turned his head to see the pink haired woman coming out again. "Your Pichu appears to be fine now~" she stated aloud making a motion towards the back where said pokemon was being taken care of.

[Olive]

((Haha I didn't even notice that I already introduced her XD *is shot for forgetfulness*))

"That's good," she trailed off. Asha looked at the boy for a moment. A minute ago he seemed a bit lonely. He was also a little awkward. That poor guy probably has to stay here all day with no company. Maybe I can help entertain him for a little while longer.

Asha smiled "Sorry about all of that, I'm going to go check on that Pichu. If you're bored then you can definitely come with me." With a playful nod she turned and began walking towards the back.

[Jay]

Jacob blinked for a moment but then nodded a bit and half smiled. Eh... what did he have to lose? After a few seconds, he leaned forwards and followed the procession towards the back room. The nurse walked back towards the back and finally came to where the Pichu was now resting on a bed rather peacefully. He seemed asleep but opened one eye when they came inwards. "Pi-pi-chuuu," he stated aloud smiling a bit but appearing a tad tired still.
