Carrying two loveable arachnids on her shoulders, one to each, Cricket made her way through the forest-like area that was Serenity Gardens. She had figured that the two would get along just fine due to their similar adoration of others of the female persuasion, and it wouldn't hurt for them to exercise and do a little battling to boot.
The sun shone through the leaves, dappling the ground with gold and making it slightly warmer in the damp air. Cricket breathed deeply; this was a good place to be, she thought as she walked. She absently reached up to pet Druid, the Ninchuru; he was fairly soft, even with the Nincada genes. In response to the attention Druid seemed to 'purr' and began to nuzzle against his trainer's face, smiling as best as a tarantula-cicada hybrid could smile. James appeared to be slightly jealous, but who could be angry in such a lovely place? The Spinarak relaxed more and continued to rest on his shoulder, keeping a lookout for his distracted trainer.

Not far along the trail and off to the side under a shady tree, a Leafeon seemed to be resting rather peacefully. However, because of the holes in the tree, a few lights seemed to reflect down on the leaf-pokemon and showed a bit of... an odd coloring if only slightly.

Cricket's eyes widened as she spotted the Leafeon; she barely noticed the strange coloration, she was more absorbed in the fact that it was a Leafeon. Instant adoration filled her as she made her way over to where the Pokemon rested and crouched down to look at it. She was as quiet as quiet could be, hoping not to wake or startle the Leafeon. Both of her arachnid Pokemon remained still and quiet themselves, waiting to see what would happen.

The sound caused the Leafeon's ears to twitch ever so slightly, and after a moment, he opened one eye and blinked at the girl slowly. "Leaf?" he asked wondering what she was doing. He was not the type to make any sort of assumptions and simply waited until the final verdict on things.

"Oh..! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you.." Cricket blushed lightly but didn't move from her spot. "I was just looking at you.. I've never seen a wild Leafeon.."
Druid 'smiled' at the Leafeon. "Nin ninchu." he greeted with a nod. James just stared at the Eeveelution with no sound.

Seeing that the girl meant not harm, the Leafeon seemed to simply nod at this and then managed a rather calm smile. "Feon leaf-eon on," he answered back before slowly turning his head to one side as though thinking on something. "I mean... it is alright," he stated with careful English.

The dark-haired trainer had the hardest time repressing the urge to yell "YOU CAN TALK?!" and instead smiled at the Pokemon.
"Do you have a name?" she asked out of politeness, actually quite relieved that he could speak English. The pair of arachnids were shocked by this, however, and didn't move or speak.

"A name? Most in this area simply refer to me as Leafeon, and I leave it that way," he answered back with careful English once more as though afraid to state something he didn't mean. "Do you have a name?" he asked eying her calmly.

Cricket grinned. "Yep, I'm Cricket." she said, and then indicated her two Pokemon. "And this is Druid and James."
James finally decided to nod a greeting, and Druid had already greeted the Leafeon but he nodded anyways.

The Leafeon seemed to nod at each of them before slowly sitting up fully and issuing out a rather relaxed smile. "I see," he answered back. "It is a pleasure to meet you, then. And how are you today?" he asked rather pleasantly.

"And it's good to meet you, too." said Cricket with another nod. "It's a lovely day, don't you agree?"
Druid seemed perfectly content to stay where he was, but the conversation was beginning to bore James, and he skittered off of Cricket's shoulder and up the tree next to them, standing on one of the branches to look around.

"Indeed I would say so. The weather is lovely for being outdoors far better than the heat that had been around for quite some time," the Leafeon answered back with an ease of words now. He was becoming quite confident with his wording at least towards this trainer.

"Mm. I prefer it when it's a little chilly, so it's good to get away from the searing heat." Cricket looked up at what was visible of the sky; it was clear and blue as far as she could tell. "..You can photosynthesize, right? Must be nice to make your own food.."

"Indeed I can, but I also need to take in nutrients and things of that nature," he answered back sighing a bit. "Sometimes I find it simply easier to eat vegetation and go on...." he nodded at his wording hoping it made sense....

Cricket smiled. "Yeah, it's not always so pretty as it is today, huh?" She sat down on the ground next to the Leafeon, happy to have someone to talk to. "So..." She trailed off, unsure of what to talk about with the Eeveelution.

The Leafeon turned his head to one side as though questioning what the 'so' was about. However, after realizing that she was probably not sure herself, he decided to continue the talk as best he could. "Do you travel, Cricket?" he asked after a moment wondering if this would continue the conversation or if he was actually simply deadpanning both of them.

"Uh.. yeah, I travel a little. I've never left Era, but I've seen a good bit of it just wandering around. I especially like the haunted places and the forests, though." Cricket looked pleased at this subject. "I also adore the ocean.. It's just so beautiful."

Ah~ The ocean was what caught his attention in that moment. "Interesting," he answered back nodding his head as he thought on this. "I have never seen the ocean myself, but I have heard of the term before... a large volume of water, correct?"

"Yes, it's the body of water that surrounds the very continents.. Salt water through and through, so not terribly fun to swim in for too long unless you live in it, but it's still gorgeous to stare at~" Cricket did so adore the ocean, and she had drawn it many times in her sketches.

"Ah, I see. I see," the Leafeon answered back nodding his head and taking this thought in rather carefully as he did so. That seemed quite interesting indeed, heh. "It would be lovely to see, I'm sure, but alas, I'm a tad weak at heart and have never really left the gardens....."
