Leaping out of the way of the first attack as he ran toward the Rogue, Kage's eyes widened slightly as he released the second attack without warning. As he slid to a stop, he released his pshycho cut before the Earthquake struck, forcing Kage to fall. There was no use in getting up, he knew he couldn't. Riding it out, he could feel his strength falling with his energy. Ok, that's enough now. Forcing himself to his paws, Kage growled deeply. With that last attack, he was dwindling, he couldn't allow that to happen again, he had to win - for Gil.

"You alright, Kage?" Gil asked as he watched his pokemon hang his head low, panting. With a stamp of his paw, the Absol rose his head high into the air, "SOL!" He cried out, eyes glowing, "Payback." With a feral grin, Kage released the attack.

"Rogue use-" Ieri stopped as the Payback hit Rogue before the Tyrogue could even launch an attack. Despite the fact that it was a dark move and the Tyrogue was generally stronger against dark moves, the sheer force of the Payback instilled by the Earthquake's power previously was enough to knock Rogue completely off his feet and sent the Tyrogue flying through the air and down the beach a couple ways away. Trying to force himself up, the Tyrogue cried out and fell backwards on the sand unable to get up again. Ieri looked back at Gil and exchanged a 'I think this battle is over' look before starting to walk towards his Tyrogue and carefully began to pick him up.

Within moments of the attack being released and the Tyrogue sent flying, Gil's eyes widened slightly as Kage snorted, his legs shaking before falling to a laying position, panting heavily. With a nod to Irei, he walked forward and lowered himself to the ground next to Kage, placing a hand on his head, "You did well, my friend, rest now." He spoke quietly to the dark type before looking over to the other male who was with his own pokemon, "He fought well, I didn't think Kage would make it," He started, not knowing what to say to the other with the look he was just given, "He going to be all right?"

Ieri looked back at Gil and half smile. "He'll be fine," he answered back. "Just a bit pride stricken." This was true. Rogue was all but swearing to himself even as he was helped up into a sitting position by Ieri. The muscular man was gentle to his pokemon and slowly picked up the Tyroge completely. Tai who had been watching smirked a bit and shook his head as though saying 'I could have done better' only to be smacked on the head by Lee who had watched the entire fight and was rather impressed that Rogue was growing so rapidly. After a few more seconds, Ieri beckoned Lee over, and the master went towards his other apprentice and sat next to him while Ieri got up and walked over towards Gil. "Thank you for the battle," Ieri smiled a bit now to the other man.
