Bullet through a flock of doves [mod]

[Ethereal]

The roar of the engine announced the duchess's arrival like a symphony of horns. Adrian smirked as the wind blew back her untamed hair and the scenery flew by in blurs. She had spent the morning traveling through the desert on her specialized motorcycle, with the savanna in mind. Now that she had arrived at the intended destination, she let the machine slow down a bit. Adrian was still moving, but at a slower speed so that if she should see an interesting pokemon, she would be able to stop.

If she was to be the most powerful person in all of Era, the southern duchess would need more pokemon at her disposal. As it often was, her first thought that morning was of pursuing her destiny as ruler of Era. The woman wanted so much to be the esteemed empress of these lands and all others as well. If capturing pokemon was one step closer to that goal, then the dark-haired beauty would take it.

[Jay]

A flock of Spearow flew overhead rather dismally. None of them even seemed to notice the woman below. Not far away, an Electrike and a Doduo appeared to be in some strange race as they both ran north towards what appeared to be a large tree. A bit farther away from that, an Azurill was splashing happily in some water.

[Ethereal]

Quickly, the duchess lifted the dark shades so that they sat on her forehead. Adrian perused the area she had entered without any spark of interest coming to her gray eyes. She sighed, a bit disappointed, then presumed to continue on her way. She revved up the engine and kept moving through the ever-thickening grasses.

[Jay]

Farther away, a battle could be seen. What appeared to be a large off colored Manectric was using a Thunderbolt on a slightly off colored Persian who hissed and used a Power Gem attack back at the electrical pokemon. Were....were they both? Why yes they were both Shiny at that. Well now...

[Ethereal]

Adrian's face brightened at the sight. She thanked her luck silently and continued toward the battle with a grin. The duchess loved all kinds of luxory, the little things that set the wealthy apart from the general public. Shiny pokemon were just that and if she cared enough, Adrian might have actively collected them.

Once she reached the two uniquely colored pokemon, Adrian reached for two pokeballs. Hopefully the wild pokemon had worn themselves out already, but if not it would give her an opportunity to train.
"Come out, Rapier and Nyx." The woman threw the pokeballs out into the savannah. A purotoga and zorua appeared, both ready for a fight. "Rapier use darkpulse, Nyx Go for a dig on the manectric.

[Jay]

The Persian was hit by the Dark Pulse and turned his head violently towards the culprit. Seeing Rapier, the large cat pokemon formed a Thunderbolt and released it at Rapier hissing as he went. How DARE they interrupt his fight! In another moment, the Manectric released a Fire Fang and charged towards the Persian biting down on the cat. Said cat hissed in irritation at being attacked form different sides. The Manectric didn't even notice the sudden attack from the ground that hit him in the next moment. Crying out and looking around caustically, the Manectric growled deep in his throat.

[Ethereal]

Adrian was happy that the two wild pokemon were still fighting each other. It wouldn't take long to take them down, just as long as they failed to work together.
"Nyx, use boiling water on the persian." The fossil turtle attacked with an extremely hot blast of water and aimed it at the cat pokemon's face. The zorua shivered after being struck by the electric attack. Still, he beleived that the odds were in his favor. "Now Rapier, fire toxic at the manectric."

[Jay]

The Persian was hit by the Boiling Water and hissed harshly leering towards the turtle. Forming a Thunderbolt, the cat retaliated without a second thought. The Manectric was hit by the Toxic attack and growled as he coughed a bit. Damn that. Shaking his head and forming a Thunderbolt, he shot it at the Zorua.

[Ethereal]

The woman smirked coldy from behind her sunglasses. She enjoyed watching her pokemon battle and found sadistic pleasure in it. Winning also brought much joy, which was what she looked forward to now.
"Wide guard." The duchess commanded. Nyx then used her shell to form a barrier which would shield both her and Rapier from damage. "And Rapier, you use Night burst"

[Jay]

The hiss that escaped the Persian reflected his irritation. Instead of looking towards the woman's pokemon, he suddenly seemed to look straight at Adrian. In less than a second, he was charging straight towards the Duchess. Forming an Aerial Ace, he made to swipe at said Duchess directly. The Manectric cringed at the effects of the poison and then let loose a growl from his throat. In another second, he was hit by the Night Burst which left him a bit dazed for a good second. Shaking his head and forming a Thunderbolt, he shot it at the Zorua. However, it missed rather sadly due to a new lack of accuracy that was plaguing the electrical pokemon.

[Ethereal]

After a quick blink, Adrian Bane realized the gravity of the situation and the possible danger she could be in. Without flinching or attempting to cover her face (that would be showing weakness) the duchess reacted quickly and threw out two greatballs at the wild pokemon. Even if it failed to capture the persian, the greatball still effectively protected her from serious harm.

[Jay]

The pokeball hit the Persian and drew the cat inside. The ball itself hit the ground, and suddenly it was shaking violently. However, in another moment, the ball rang capture.

Ability:  Technician
Personality: Cynical, dark, yet sly, this Persian does what he wants no matter the situation. He despises the Manectric he battled prior to his capture, and in truth he hates all electrical pokemon and considers them below him. He doesn't mind (and actually really likes though he will never admit it in full) a good ear scratch every once in a while, and he is actually rather appeased by it. He also seems to have a habit of lying on his mistress's feet whenever he gets the chance.


The Manectric was hit by the ball, yet after less than a second, the ball broke once more releasing the electrical pokemon who shot off a Thunderbolt at the Zorua effectively this time.

[Ethereal]

Satisfied for the moment, Adrian held the shiny persian's pokeball and spun it playfully in her palm. She sighed, a bit bored then waved her hand dismissively.
"Both of you," She ordered carelessly, "Attack the manectric. Surprise me." Both pokemon seemed to enjoy the freedom to make their own decisions. Rapier closed his eyes and released a wave of psychic energy directed at the wild enemy - it was an extrasensory attack. Meanwhile, Nyx charged forth in a rollout.

[Jay]

The Manectric was hit by the Extrasensory and fell backwards only to be hit by the Rollout next. Shaking his head and growling again, he winced and suddenly feel forwards still conscious but unable to move at that point.

[Ethereal]

Mercy was not in Adrian's nature, and had this pokemon attacked her like the persian, she would have ordered for a death blow. However, feeling momentarily generous she prepared to call her pokemon down,
"That's enough." With a light toss, a pokeball sailed over her pokemon's head and over toward the wild shiny.

[Jay]

The pokeball knocked into the Manectric and drew him inwards. The ball hit the grass and seemed to shake for a few moments before finally ringing in capture.

Personality: Power seems to be this Manectric's strive in life, and because of this, he is a tad short sighted in most instances. He lives for battles and won't back back down despite the number of enemies. He utterly despises the Persian that was caught a few moments prior to his capture, and he won't hesitate to instigate a fight between himself and the Persian whenever he feels like it.


It was extremely quiet after that. It seemed that the battle prior to Adrian's arrival had already scared away whatever other pokemon were in the area.

[Ethereal]

Adrian lifted her chin at the victory, retrieved the pokeball, and then let her rest. She swung a tan leg back over the motorcycle and sat down. The duchess paused to breath in the calm Southern air, and scanned the horizon.
"Looks like you scared everything off..." She mumbled darkly to herself. "Oh well." With that, Adrian kick started her cycle and began travelling quickly across the golden grasses.

[Jay]

Farther away through the Savannah, a Electrike seemed to be eating something and almost seemed to meld with the color of the long but thin grass around it. What appeared to be a Rattata scampered through the area rather fast. Not far from that, two Girafarig seemed to be running with one another.

[Ethereal]

Unimpressed with the pokemon she saw, Adrian Bane kicked her bike into first gear and sent it thundering down the plain. It shook slightly which reminded the duchess that she would need to have a mechanic look at it soon. She assumed that there was sand inside of the machine or something similar. The woman wouldn't miss the motorcycle much, because she could always use her pokemon for transportation.

[Jay]

As Adrian rode by, a Miltank seemed to stand upwards from the tall grass and watched the woman go by. She wasn't sure exactly what the large thing was that the woman was riding but it was loud and obnoxious as far as she was concerned. Shaking her head, the Miltank let out a warning 'moo' of sorts. Flying higher above, a Tranquill could be seen gliding on the air rather lazily. Farther off, a Azurill was splashing in a pool of water.
