The duchess turned the motorcycle and it stopped with a loud squeal. She put one leg onto the ground and eyed the wild pokemon curiously.
"Let's see..." She mused thoughtfully, "Which ones do I want?" A devious smirk curved along her full lips. "All of them." She answered with a snap of her fingers, "Well," She continued, "All except for the azurill."

Adrian threw out two pokeballs and watched as they burst open, revealing a riolu and the manectric she had captured earlier. The shadow pokemon stood at attention while the shiny pokemon growled lowly.
"Xerxes, use ankle sweep. Surge, thunder."

[Jay]

The Miltank took the Ankle Sweep and cried out even more angry that before. Oh so that was how it was going to be, eh? Forming a Zen Headbutt, the Miltank retaliated charging towards her new foe and making to bash him hard with her head. The Tranquill was struck hard by the Thunder attack and dropped straight out of the sky hitting the ground out cold right then and there. Oh...wow... ._.;

[Ethereal]

The trainer raised her thin eyebrows while she watched the bird drop from the sky. The one hit K-O made her feel powerful, which in turn made her happy.
"Good job, Surge." He complimented the manectric quickly before tossing a pokeball at the fainted Tranquill. She wasn't exactly sure what she planned on doing with the flying type, but adding another pokemon to her arsenal never hurt. With that duty finished, the duchess returned her attention to the battle.

The miltank was running at Xerxes and gaining speed. Adrian knew that the attack would be super-effective if it hit, so her prerogative was to avoid such damage.
"Xerxes, use protect." She ordered. Her eyes then went to the shiny dog, "And Surge, flamethrower."

[Jay]

The Tranquill was hit by the pokeball and drawn inside. The ball itself shook several times before finally calling capture.

Gender: Female
Ability: Super Luck
Personality: Rather calm and quiet, this Tranquill doesn't like to say much of anything. She's rather intelligent but is too scared of her trainer to actually be willing to speak at this point. It'll take quite a lot to make this bird liven up, but she will become rather powerful when she finally mans up.


The Flamethrower hit the Miltank and caused her to cry out and shake her head sharply. Forming a Rollout, she spun faster and faster and was suddenly headed towards the Manetric instead of the Riolu.

Adrian allowed the roll out to hit her pokemon, despite the fact that it would be super effective. She wanted to see just how strong her new pokemon, and what better way than through battle? The electric type was knocked off his feet but he growled in defiant and jumped back up from the dirt. The Manectric was weak from already having fought earlier, but he was not about to go down to a miltank.
"Good." The woman nodded, "Now fight back with giga impact." The trainer smirked; she was going to push her new pokemon to the limit in their first battle together.

Her gray eyes moved to her shadow pokemon, Xerxes.
"Shadow down." She murmered to the riolu. The shadow move would severely lower the miltank's defense.

[Jay]

The Shadow Down weakened the Miltank's defenses greatly, and when the Giga Impact hit, the pink cow pokemon cried out falling backwards suddenly unable to continue her Rollout. After a few seconds, she struggled to get up and found herself unable to. Conscious but unable to move... damn.....

[Ethereal]

The woman chuckled darkly as the miltank sunk to the ground. She considered making it suffer a little, just to make sure that it would respect her once she captured it.
"Xerxes, force palm." The duchess was sure that the shock wave would deliver a sufficient message to the pink cow pokemon.

Adrian held a pokeball in her hand. Once her riolu had finished with his attack, she tossed it toward the wild miltank.

[Jay]

The Force Palm hit the Miltank and caused the great cow to moo in pain. As the pokeball hit her, she was consumed inside. The ball fell to th eground and shook quite a lot before finally ringing in capture.

Gender: Female
Ability: Thick Fat
Personality: Rather docile until she is worked up, this Miltank is a rather motherly creature when it is all said and done. She likes to see small pokemon grow and likes to see larger ones succeed. She doesn't normally approve of violence but doesn't seem to have a problem with extracting revenge of sorts. She can be somewhat of a day dreamer and a closet romantic sometimes wondering if Adrian would ever get married and settle down or not.


Once again, it was quiet on the Savannah.....

The duchess ordered her minion. As she expected, the shadow pokemon obediently went to fetch the miltank's prison and dropped it at his mistress' feet. Adrian picked up the pokeball and dropped it into her bag. The woman looked to her Manectric, the poor thing was exhausted and panting loudly. "Looks like you need some endurance training." She commented coldly. The electric type did not appreciate the patronizing, but he was too tired to say anything. Satisfied with his complacent silence, Adrian allowed him to return to his pokeball. "Come on, Xerxes." She grabbed the riolu around the waist and hoisted him up onto the motorcycle. "You should stay out here with me." She told the black and blue pokemon, "I want to make you evolve as soon as possible." She explained matter-of-factly. Then she kick started the machine and they were off. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

[Jay]

Far off, what appeared to be a small watering hole came into view. A Slowpoke was at the edge of it finishing rather intently, it seemed. A Marill was also in the water splashing around rather happily and chanting her name pleasantly. Curled up in the taller grass just off of the water, something purple could be seen....hm... One needed to look a little closer to see exactly what it was...

The woman helped her pokemon down off the machine. The shadow riolu waited patiently for his trainer to dismount from the motorcycle. His red eyes looked toward the water longingly, but they snapped back to Adrian's face when she began speaking. "Come, Xerxes. We'll investigate what's over there and you can get a drink." The riolu was very grateful to his mistress for the opportunity to get water. In all honestly, he was parched. Side by side, the pair walked to the water source. Adrian strolled past the busy slowpoke and made her way toward the mysterious purple object. Meanwhile, Xerxes bent down over the water to quench his thirst. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

[Jay]

The Maril watched the Riolu and seemed to wave rather lightly towards him. In the grass, the purple moved, and a large Arbok sat upwards reveling her full form and staring at the woman rather oddly. She didn't attack or say anything but simply stared.

Adrian stared back at the Arbok, neither her stature or expression giving away any sign of fear. "What is it YOU want?" She asked the wild pokemon snidely. If the Arbok wanted a fight, then it would surely get one. Xerxes had finished drinking the water and instead of waving back to the maril he fired a toxic attack in its direction. The shadow pokemon's ears lifted up and he turned to see his mistress in danger. The riolu stood up and hurried over to protect her. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Arbok hissed rather quietly in her throat as she stared at the woman. Her entire form could have sprung to attack if she had wished, yet she was still simply observing the woman. The Marill was hit by the Toxic and cried out falling fully into the water....ah, poor thing.......

The duchess wasn't exactly sure what to do with the snake pokemon, but if it refused to get out of her way, then she would force it from her path. She doubted that the Arbok would give her shadow pokemon any trouble. Xerxes was, after-all, mostly unstoppable. Adrian could count how many times he had lost a battle on one hand alone, and she made any pokemon of hers pay dearly for such humiliation. He wouldn't make such a mistake again. Adrian snapped her fingers with a sharp twist of her hand, "Xerxes, ice punch, now." She commanded, her cold stare rivaling that of the snake's. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Ice Punch caused the Arbok to hiss sharply, and in a split second, she beat her tail on the ground violently and released a massive Earthquake. It seemed that this snake was not playing around in the least to say the absolute least of it.

She struggled to keep her footing on the shaking savannah and watched as the attack came closer to hitting Xerxes. "Detect!" She cried out, hoping that the riolu would be able to protect himself in time. If not, she would be severely irritated. No mercy would be given to either her pokemon, or the wild one. "Then bulldoze!" She continued, in an almost growl-like tone. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Buldoze hit the Arbok and caused her to cry out in shock for a few seconds. However, when that moment was over, she leaned straight downwards and made to bite the Riolu with a Thunder Fang charging the tooth even as she made her move.

If Xerxes had been a normal pokemon he would have been writhing in pain. However, part of his training in Cipher was to never show weakness. So when the attack struck him the shadow pokemon hardly even blinked. Instead, he fired a shadow wave at the snake. Adrian did nothing as her pokemon was hit by the attack. She was proud that Xerxes failed to show any sign of frailty. The duchess loved shadow pokemon and only wished that she could make all of her pokemon shadow. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Due to the move itself being super effective on un-shadowed pokemon, the Arbok took quite a hard hit of damage from the attack. Hissing in anger and pain, she shook her head defiantly and formed an Earthquake and rocked the ground rather hard. She refused to give up!
