The desert was pretty pleasant during the winter but still got pretty cold at night. Several pokemon ran forward chasing down another one. A haunter to be exact. He floated over the sand avoiding the other pokemon as he clung to the sketch book. He had swiped it again in a plea to play a game. The other pokemon had been up for it but they had lost their Trainer in the process. Stopping he floated up so the other pokemon couldn't reach him. The Shiny Umbreon had stopped on a hill a couple of yards away while the shiny eevee watched from below the hill.
A red headed girl jogged up the sandy hill out of breath, but still seemed to be a bit amused. Her green eyes glanced at her pokemon noting that her Ralts and Abra were walking slowly toward haunter taking the chance to try and get the notebook. Catching her breath she stopped at the top of the hill and looked around. Now where were they? Her bag hung heavy on her shoulders. Rikka sat down to rest while her pokemon started running around in circles to catch the haunter. Rubbing her eyes she looked up and realized she had missed the palace. They were pretty close to it but not close enough to bother anyone. Or so she hoped. |

(OOC:Sorry for the lateness but..)
Zack was on the other side of the hill. If he looked up he could see a Haunter with a notebook in his or her hand but he was too focused on his training to bother with it. He was training by using a double battle method and was using Sea and Tini against Weavile and Croc. Zack happened to be giving orders to Tini and Sea as Croc and Weavile were just going to be attacking.
"Alright! Tini use Extremespeed on Weavile!" Tini then became a blur and moved towards Weavile at (almost blinding speeds but still visible because she was not skilled with this move yet) "Now Sea! Use Signal Beam!" He commanded as a Rainbow colored beam formed and shot out at Croc. Both Weavile and Croc countered these moves. Weavile used Giga Impact on Tini while Croc decided to use Hydro Pump on Sea. The attacks collided and caused a pretty big explosion that unluckily sent Zack flying backwards up the hill. He bounced for a couple of seconds before reaching the top and rolling down.

Hope was walking through the desert when he realized he was so close to home. He had his Absol out to keep him company. While walking he saw a redheaded girl running. Hope decided to go greet her. The boy walked up to her and said "Hello there how are you".

Rikka heard the shouting of a male nearby then saw an explosion. Blinking she wondered if she should go see if the person was alright. Though soon enough the said male rolled up the hill then back down. "Uh...." She didn't think was was supposed to happen. Her shiny Umbreon raced to the new person even as Rikka started to stand up. Another voice sounded behind her where she had been resting. Turning she spotted the boy and smiled. "Hello. I was just resting my pokemon kind of started a game with my sketch book." Looking back at the other person she wondered if he was alright. "Give me one moment." Then she set off sliding down the sandy hill and stopping near the other male. "You ok? That was a big explosion."
Haunter now noticing the downed human floated closer to the ground and just with in range of the psychic pokemon. Kiki caught Haunter in Telekinesis while Abra swiped the sketch book back. ("So unfair! I got distracteed~!") After pouting a few moments he chased the Abra around trying to get the Sketchbook. Kiki letting those two get tuckered out walked over to Rikka to see who she was worrying over. Kiki had noticed the girl had an uncanny ability to have lots of compassion toward others and very rarely complained. Well Since Kiki had decided to go with her she was pretty sure she hadn't heard Rikka complain. The girl was weird to Kiki's form of thinking. |

"Yeah.." said Zack weakly as he struggled to get up. He didn't have a clue who this was or who they could be but it didn't matter...if they were concerned about him then that's all the reason he needs to talk to them. He managed to lift himself up enough so his face wasn't buried in the sand. "Thanks for your concern...My name's Za-" he didn't even finish as he realized his pokemon had collided with such powerful attacks that were enough to launch him...so what had happened to them?
"Sorry i'll be right back!" he said ignoring the pain and running up the hill towards where the explosion had happened. When he looked over he could see Weavile moving up the hill with Tini hanging over his shoulder and Croc moving up with Sea in his jaws. "Argh! C'mon guys! You shouldn't have used that much power...it was just a practice battle.." he said as he took out Tini and Sea's pokeballs "It's alright...we'll just practice with someone else." he said as a red light shot out and sucked Tini and Sea inside.
Zack began to move down the hill scratching his head while scolding Weavile and Croc. "Sorry.." he said slowly looking up at the person who had tried to help him earlier. When he finally got a clear look at the person he was a little startled and the shock could be seen on his face "Y-Yeah...sorry miss..." he said as he chuckled slightly a little bit embarassed.
It was then he noticed the other boy who had approached the girl. "Oh! Hello there!" he said waving at this new person. He then looked down at his clothes and noticed they were all dirty "Hehehehe..." he said a little nervously.

Hope had a half smile on his face not often he ran into other people. "Hello what are you two doing near the castle?". Hope was curious not many people came here. Well at least not when he was here and he came quite often he loved the desert. He often slept here for the sand was soft. Absol came up next to him always by his side the Pokemon could is overprotective.

Rikka watched as he struggled to get up then realized something in the middle of a sentence. Standing up she watched up run up a hill of sand even as two pokemon carrying two others walked up the top of the hill. Rikka rocked back on her heals so she wouldn't be tempted to help his pokemon while he was in control. It was definitely not a good habit to have formed. She needed to break it. That was harder said than done.
Staying where she was Rikka watched then blinked and looked around for her own pokemon. Night and Moon had slowly moved toward her while Raikiri seemed to have gone off some place. Kiki was near her also. Rikka sweat dropped as she noticed her Haunter chasing around Cloud. Well apparently Cloud had gotten the sketch book. Cloud on the other hand looked totally harassed. "Haunter! Cloud! Get over here!" Cloud took a sharp right and ran toward Rikka. Hiding behind her he sighed in relief as Haunter floated over. Grinning he licked Rikka then noticed the two boys. He waved in hello then floated around Moon trying to get her to get the sketch book for him.
Rikka looked over at the one came back over and noticed that she was a girl by the look on his face. She grinned absolutely amused by it. Hearing the question of the other male she looked over. "Heh. Haunter started a game with my Sketch book. So Apparently we lost track of where we were going." Moon nodded in agreement then looked back at Haunter and continued to try and get him to give it up. "I'm Rikka its nice to meet you both." |

"Hey guys! I'm Zack it's a pleasure to meet you both." said Zack with a smile "As for what i'm doing out here...I don't really know. I just like exploring Era and making new friends" he said scratching the back of his head slightly "So far my travels have gotten me a whole bunch of friends!" he said happily
It was at this point that a light flashed on Zack's belt and Blue came out. He looked at the Absol and all the other pokemon around and didn't think Zack was in any danger so he relaxed. "Oh yeah this is my friend Blue! We've known eachother for years" he said smiling brightly

"I can say the same about my absol over here". Hope was proud of his absol they had been together so long they were best friends. "Would you guys like to battle?. It would be a great way to train your Pokemon". hope made friends through battling if they were good trainers he would like them however if the mistreated them he would probably hate them.

Rikka smiled and waved as the Futachimaru popped out of his ball. Listening she looked around noticing she was the only one who had all six of her pokemon out. She must just be weird. Oh well. Haunter who had given up on the sketchbook for now was watched Blue with interest. Just because he was nice didn't mean he didn't like a good prank every now and then. Slipping into the ground he slowly floated up behind Blue intending on scaring him. Rikka caught Haunter's eye and shook her head. Haunter sighed at being caught then just licked the other pokemon in greeting. Floating over to Rikka he tried to get the sketch book.
Moon looked over the other trainer's pokemon then sat down. ("Hello. I'm Moon.") Right about then Raikiri slipped out of a small sand hill near by carrying his spoon. Blinking he ran over and stopped near Rikka. Then he waved with the paw that was grasping the spoon. Rikka looked around and saw all her pokemon were around now. "These are my pokemon. Raikiri is the Furret, Moon is the shiny Umbreon, Night is the shiny Eevee, Kiki is the Ralts, Cloud is the Abra, and this is Haunter." Haunter floated around Rikka and waved again at the new people. Hearing the dark haired ones question she smiled. "Sure." Pulling out five poke-balls she returned Kiki, Cloud, Night, Moon and Raikiri. She had promised she would battle with Haunter next. He had sulked until she had agreed. |

Blue was trying to stand impressively in front of the other pokemon. He loved to be a role model to others and was kind of...heroic in a sense. When the Haunter came up behind him Blue knew he was there but didn't do anything about it. He simply blinked and watched as the Haunter was scolded by his or her trainer.
Blue sighed and shook his head before tugging on Zack's pant leg. Zack looked down and gave Blue a questioning look to which Blue responded by pointing at Rikka's pokemon. "Oh!" Zack said as he began to pull out some of his pokeballs "You guys haven't met my other pokemon!" He tossed 5 pokeballs into the air and the following pokemon came out. First was Weavile who when he saw the Absol he gave it a scowl. Second was Croc (Croconaw) who when he came out gave a roar. Third was Sparky (Pichu) who decided to hop on Zack's shoulder when she noticed they were in a desert. The last two were Sludge (Muk) and Steel (Skarmory) who both just stood behind Zack. "Alright everyone say hi!" All the pokemon behind Zack gave a wave and then started checking out where they were. "As for a battle...I would be up for it but..." he scratched the back of his head "I'm not really in the mood for one..."

"Thats quite alright and nice Pokemon by the way." Hope then looked at the girl and absol stepped forward. "Good luck you will need it. Zen Head butt". Absol charged at the hunter his head bursting with energy.

Rikka watched Zack let the rest of his pokemon loose. Smiling she waved at them and said, "Nice to meet you all." Taking a step back from Haunter she watched him slip under the sand using his ghost type to his advantage. "Good luck to you too." Rikka wasn't at all phased by his statement cause she didn't mind winning or loosing. Battles were just battles to her. "Haunter use Confuse ray then follow with Lick." Haunter burst out of the ground and let loose a sinister ray of light toward the Absol. Then followed up by trying to lick him. Rikka was slightly more prepared this time then she had been with Kiki. Well she had to thank Kiki for that. She helped her communicate with her other pokemon. |

Since Zack wasn't battling he decided to take a seat on the sand. He turned to each one of his pokemon and said "It's alright guys. We'll just watch from the sidelines...part of pokemon battles is observing and taking notes!" he watched intently as the pokemon began to make their first moves. All of Zack's pokemon sat down except for Weavile and Croc who weren't that submissive.

Absol acting on his own used protect against the confuse ray. He then got hit with the lick. hope smirked "Psycho cut!." The absol horn lit up purple and then he slashed at the ghost type Pokemon.

Haunter floated back quickly but was still hit with the attack. "Haunter use Payback." He nodded and raced forward at the Absol as he tried to hit him with payback. Rikka watched Haunter carefully watching to see if he might get tired. Though apparently him getting to battle with her gave him more energy then normal. Haunter was a good friend to have. |

"Wow.." said Zack as he watched attacks go back and forth "These guys are good..." Weavile and Croc were getting anxious at all the fighting so they began to pace around wondering if they would get a chance to prove themselves.

"Rookie move! Absol Zen head butt!." So she is a rookie can't be from the Pokemon she has. Absol charged with his energy filled head at the haunter. Hope noticed the two Pokemon waiting in anticipation of a fight. As long as they stayed out of this fight he would be good.

Haunter slipped under the ground again avoiding the zen head butt. He didn't like that move. "Hey its just a battle. Haunter Use Hypnosis." Rikka's voice was lighthearted as Haunter popped up behind the Absol and tried to employ the hypnotic suggestion to fall deeply asleep. Her gaze traveled to the restless pokemon that made her want to sketch them. Too bad she was battling. Maybe later she would have to ask Zack permission first. Her green eyed gaze flicked back to the battle so she could watch over Haunter. |
