The boy first appeared to be alone as he stepped cautiously out of the forest line. His foot prints left tiny indentations in the snow, which blanketed the hard earth during the bitter winter. Soon behind him followed a tiny doe. The Deerling's coat blended well in the trees, but stuck out sorely with the white world that had taken over. It was rar to see the wild boy or his pokemon out of their usual protection of deep forest, but one could easily blame the difficult winter for forcing them closer to society in search of food.
A tiny eevee trailed behind them both. The snow was too deep for it's short legs, so each movement required a bunny-hop. The pokemon's ears were high and alert, scouting the area each moment before moving forward again. After seeing that the clearing was safe, Graham turned his head towards the edge of the forest, appearingly nodding towards nothing. The pokemon disgusied within appeared at the signal, all making their way cautiously towards the center.
The area held a highly unsettling atmosphere, which kept the pokemon alert even though not a sound could be heard disturbing the place. Rigidly, they sniffed around, eyes sharp as they edged closer towards their destination: the cottage. It held food stores within it before for a gaurd of the graveyard, but most of the time it was empty. After all, the dead weren't going anywhere.
Graham braved this many days long journey only in the utmost desperation. Nearing society, even the most abandoned parts, set his nerves on edge. Mixed with the invisible spirits and ghost pokemon inevitably lurking about, the area felt like it repeled him, like he didn't belong in the slightest. But beneath his coat showed a skeleton of a human, and the hollow look on his face showed that unlike his Stantler and Deerling, he could not survive only on the bark of pine trees.

Tyson wasn't exactly walking through the snow. He didn't like to get his clothes wet or dirty for any reason due to his upbringing. It was because of this that he had three of his pokemon out of his pokeballs. These pokemon were Tropius, Puruiru, and Froslass. Tyson was riding sideways on Tropius who was managing to hover just a little bit above the ground as to not get Tyson covered in snow. He seemed to be struggling though since it was not used to beating it's wings at such a fast pace.
Pururiru and Froslass were out because being in a forest with ghost pokemon would make this whole process alot easier. He seemed to be searching around every corner for something that could help him figure out where all these ghost pokemon could be. Once he knew where one was it would be relatively simple to capture one.

App, the stantler, turned his ears towards the sound of footsteps as pokemon approached. Turning towards the sound, he took silent deer steps towards the noise. Graham halted the rest of the party, and they all waited for the head pokemon's report. He watched the massive Tropius approach, recognizing the crunching sounds as the footfalls of the other two pokemon that trailed it. His head turned back towards the group, the black robs within his antlers swirling in warning. Immediately, Graham began to recall the weakest pokemon back, leaving out Owl, his growlithe, App the stantler, and Sooh the deerling. In his arms he clutched an anxious Bunneary, who made it a point to never fight, and only comfort the child who was her friend.
Graham wasn't much in the way of a trainer, but a prime judgement maker for the group. His Stantler generally had more say in the decisions than he did, but they all worked together, and that was all that mattered to him. He dropped down to a crouch as the newcomers neared their clearing, preparing to fight or flee if necessary.

Tyson was looking around for any sort of signs of a ghost pokemon. He kept looking around trees and such until he noticed a flicker of movement from across the clearing he was coming towards. "Interesting." he pointed and Tropius began to walk slightly in that direction. "Puruiru, Froslass go around from behind." Puruiru and Froslass but sunk into the ground and headed over to appear behind Graham.
"Now Tropius." Tropius suddenly flew towards the place where Graham was sitting at surprising speed and landed directly in front of him.

His Growlithe, Owl, was the first to react. His extremely keen sense of smell picked up the two icetypes below the snow before they could reach the area. As he circled around behind Graham, the boy couldn't figure out what he was doing when the enemy could clearly be seen right in front of them. The dog pokemon was extremely loyal, and would never cower from a fight, even at a pokemon like a Tropius which was so much greater in size than he. So he said nothing, not sure what to say anyway.
Owl barked twice in warning as the Frosslass and Puruiru came closer, feeling their movements vibrate the snow beneath his paws. Not waiting for the ambush to come any closer, he exhaled a massive Heat Wave attack. The fire scorched the ice and snow within it's range, melting it all the way down to the ground and providing no place for the burrowers to draw closer.
Graham watched this wordlessly, knowing that Owl's rigid stance meant all of what he was doing was for a purpose. Slowly, he backed himself into the clear area of grass, it's blades unsinged due to all the water the melted snow released. He hadn't seen grass in so long, it was almost overwhelming at first glance. The vibrant greens were welcomed, but still assaulting to the eyes.
Suddenly, App was leaping back towards Graham in long deer-like bounds. Behind him flew a Tropius, zooming straight for them with no real indication of stopping. Graham ducked, using his body to cover the little Buneary he had been clutching, and his Deerling fled to his side. She quickly spotted the Stantler come to a hault next to them, and throw his head up in a Protect, creating a forcefield in the small area of grass. Sooh did the same, and Owl barked at the snow behind them, egging the snow pokemon to try and come closer now.
Graham looked up, proud of his pokemon's natural instinctive abilities. They were smart, and didn't really need his guidance as a trainer. But their loyalty meant they stuck around anyway. He let out a rare smile before his dark eyes flitted up to find a human on the monserous grass-types' back. Graham didn't say anything, but his eyes spoke only of challenge.
