A buggy good time. (mod/Sofia/Open)

[Baroness Charmissey]

Harvey with his friend Sofia was making his way the the place known as The Hive. He wanted to catch some butterfly Pokemon as gift for Sofia. And to catch come cool bug Pokemon for himself. Though it took a lot of convincing to get Sofia to come. She hates bug type Pokemon. Harvey was only scared of one type of bug and that would be beedrill.. Anyone would if an attack landed you in the hospital. Luckily Sofia does not remember that day.. But he does as if it was yesterday. But things are different now. They had Pokemon to protect them. Harvey looked at Sofia with a smile. " Come on Sofia, everything will be ok. We have our Pokemon with us now. They wont let the bugs bug you."

Rayna who was out nodded. " Yeah, you can count on us Sofia." She said with a smile. Harvey nodded at Rayna as they made there way to the forest. As they got closer though Harvey started to feel nervous but he knew what he wanted to do.

Sophia whimpered and looked around her cautiously as if expecting a bug to jump out and scare her. Clinging to Harvey's arm, she buried her head in his shirt, obviously terrified at the prospect of even entering the hive. Hearing Harvey and Rayna attempt to calm her down helped somewhat but...she still didn't like bug pokemon...they were so small and creepy and and D8. Clinging tighter to Harvey's arm, Sophia didn't say anything but simply put on a brave face and nodded, trying not to show how truly scared she was...not that Sophia had been very convincing in the first place...

[Jay]

A Metapod could be seen watching the children not far off....Wait oh look there was a second... and... a third? A....oh come now not a fourth? Yes... there were four of them...how odd....They were all staring at the two rather calmly yet at the asme time a tad ominously. A Joltik could be seen moving around rather sporadically here and there.

Harvey has having a hard time walking due to Sofia clinging to him so much. But he could not blame her... After what happened to them when they where younger.. The attack of the breedril that landed him in the hospital for a few days... Man what was he thinking when he brought Sofia here? He should have told her to stay at friends house... He stopped walking and looked at Sofia who was putting on a brave face but he knew she was scared. " Sofia... If....If you want you can leave... I should not have brought you here..." Harvey said in a soft tone worried for his best friend. Rayne looked at Harvey and Sofia then started to look around. She saw some bugs like the Metapod and the cute little Joltik. But knew those where not the pokemon Harvey was looking for.

Sofia looked up at Harvey and shook her head stubbornly, she was about to say something along the lines of not leaving when she caught sight of the tiny Joltik. Blinking, she tilted her head to the side and pointed towards the tiny Pokemon,"What's that...? It's so small..." she said in a quiet voice as she let go of Harvey and watched the Joltik, almost whispering so as not to scare the Pokemon away, her initial fear now completely forgotten.

But then again so was he. Though he was really just willing to walk right back out, because even though Harvey did not fear Alaric.. What happened at the ball shook the young boy pretty bad.. He would have to talk to Sofia later and ask her not to tell anyone that they where here. When Sofia stopped, so did Harvey and he looked at Joltik. The Pokemon Sofia was pointing at. Harvey blinked at the small bug Pokemon, it was small and very cute, Sofia's style he guessed. but what about its evolved from? He doubted Sofia would like it.. Heck Harvey kinda thought the Metapod would be a better choice seeing as they turn into butterfree. But if Sofia wanted the small spider pokemon Harvey would catch it for her. " Do you want it Sofia? If so I can catch it for you." Harvey said with a smile. [/scrolly]

The Joltik, meanwhile, suddenly froze as if hearing the voices was enough to paralyze the small bug. Looking up at Harvey and Sofia, she said and did nothing for a few seconds. However, after that, a high shrill sound escaped from her, and in another moment, the Joltik was on the move away from the two. <Don't eat me! Don't eat me! Please don't eat me!> the Joltik cried in poke-tongue as she continued to scuttle away and up a tree.

It seemed like he would have to work to catch this bug. Harvey then looked at Rayna, " Rayna I'm sure you can hear what its saying. Can you please calm it down?" Harvey asked Rayna the shiny Riolu nodded and jumped up the tree ninja style. When she was up there Rayna smile kindly at the small scared bug Pokemon. " Hey hey, calm down we don't want to eat you. We just want to talk." Rayna said in a nice friendly manner. [/scrolly]

Blocked from sudden escape by the Riolu, the Joltik froze fearful. Even as the Riolu spoke, all the Joltik could really do was nod slowly still very fearful and unsure. <I...er..uh....you're not going to eat me?> was the question that escaped from the small pokemon.

When Sofia spoke up and seemed sad that they scared the little bug, Harvey looked at her and with a slight blush on his face he wrapped one arm around Sofia's shoulder giving her a side hug. " Its ok Sofia, yeah I think we did scare it,. But Rayna seems to be calming it down." Harvey said When the little bug asked if she was not going to eat her, Rayna nodded, " Nope we are not going to eat you, we would rather be your friends. And you see my trainer with his friend down there? Well they would also like to be friends with you. And they are sad they scared you see?" Rayna said and pointed down at Sofia and Harvey. Then a idea came to the shiny Riolu, Rayna then looked back at Joltik. " You know, if you fear being eaten that badly, why not come with us? I know its a sudden thing to offer but.. My friends can protect you and the little girl over there? Her name is Sofia. And she thinks your very cute, and I have to agree" Rayna said with a smile. " But its your choice." she said with a nod. Maybe she can ask if the little Joltik wants to come with us? It's so cute and ... I don't want it to be scared all the time because that's no fun ... ."[/scrolly]

The Joltik remained motionless looking at Rayna but said nothing for a few seconds as she tried to catch her breath and calm her nerves. Er...friends? Slowly looking back towards the humans, the Joltik made a quiet squeaking sound of nervousness. What fi they didn't like her? What if.. they were really mean or...or....<I..I...uh....c-can I....er...meet them first?> she asked very hesitantly unsure of how to place her words.

Darn it why was his face getting warm and his heart starting to race a little? Harvey then forced himself to calm down and he stopped blushing. " That sounds like a good idea, living in fear is no fun.. And by the looks of irt Rayna is one step ahead on that." Harvey said, knowing his pokemon very well. When Joltik asked if she could meet them first Rayna nodded and smiled. " Sure, here climb on, I will take you over to them. they are nice people, other wise do you think I woukd stay with them?" Rayna said and held out her paw slowly out to the Joltik. [/scrolly]

The Joltik seemed to nod her head slowly and then quickly scurried up Rayna's arm sitting herself then on the Riolu's shoulder and looking around for a brief moment. She was still very nervous, but... but she could do this right? She had to at least say hi.... even if they were so big! Oh... oh Aceus... she was just scaring herself more now... breathe... breathe...

Slowly then she came down from the tree and walked back over to Sofia and Harvey. " Hey guys, speak softly and don't make sudden movements. She is very shy, and very timid. And her name is Joltik." Rayna explained as she got closer to the children. Harvey nodded and smiled at the cute little bug, he had never seen such a tiny pokemon before. " Hello Joltik, I'm Harvey. Its very nice to meet you." the young boy said with a smile. [/scrolly]

The Pokemon was just so tiny it was adorable...still, Rayna had said it was shy... As much as Sofia wanted to cuddle the adorable Joltik right then it would have to wait. Reaching out a hand to the Joltik, Sofia held out her hand palm up hoping that the Joltik would climb onto her. "Hi..."Sofia said in a quiet voice, hoping not to frighten the cute little thing,"My name's Sofia.... You're sure a cute little Joltik,"she continued before smiling kindly.[/scrolly]
