"So, I've decided this place is not a zoo..." said the disappointed Aidan to Maple. They both expected a full attraction of different unusual Pokemon, but instead, everything seemed..Dead. <Let's go to the beach or something. I doubt that anything special is here....Let's just go.> said the equally disappointed Bulbasaur. He begen to walk toward the entrance to leave, but Aidan stayed behind, thinking....Why was this place so dead?

Suddenly a sound of fast paced motion could be heard. A sudden yelp followed by a crash could be heard in another second. An Elekid came crashing through the brush rather quickly and tripped once before starting to run faster. Every half second, she'd turn and look back in fear before continuing to run.

Suddenly, there was a startling noise that made Maple turn back and stand in front of Aidan defensively, releasing two vines, ready to attack as soon as a threat appeared...But before that, a wild Elekid came running across the zoo. What was this danger? Even Aidan was a little worried. "Hey! You! Elekid! What's going on?!" he shouted to the running creature in hopes of a response.

[Jay]

<Scary scary scary scary RUN FOR IT EVERYONE It's coming! Dx> the Elekid cried out fearfully. Whatever it was had yet to be seen yet, but the urgency of the Elekid sounded convincing enough to throw someone into a fear scramble.

.........So, being the curious little trainer Aidan was, he stepped in front of Maple and started to walk forward. Maple didn't like the idea, but he decided to follow along Aidan anyway to keep him safe. Aidan had the funny feeling that whatever they were running into wasn't that dangerous.

[Jay]

Suddenly the sound of a pursuer could be heard. He was father behind, yet the large white mass of fur could be seen now from the distance. A Vigoroth wearing a look of nothing more than sheer hate and disgust was charging forwards in a rage not even really seeing the boy at that point but rushing forwards without a second thought.

All Aidan could see was something white...Moving...Until it finally became clear. It WAS a threat! A Vigoroth! It didn't even seem to notice the trainer, but it was definitely terrorizing that Elekid, it seemed. No. Aidan would never stand for it. "Maple, stop him!" he instructed to his Pokemon.

<Right!> Maple agreed, sending a vine toward the Vigoroth. The Pokemon was quick, but his Vine Whip was far from slow. He held it outstretched in front of the Vigoroth, waiting for the Pokemon to trip. Hopefully Elekid would turn back to see the help he was receiving.

And indeed, the Vigoroth tripped and was rickrolled right into a tree. Crashing into and breaking the tree he had fallen on, the rather large beast forced himself up and looked fiercely at the boy and his pokemon. In another moment, he suddenly seemed to shout out an angry call of sorts and formed a Slash to which he charged at Maple with.

Success-Or not? "No, not the tree-!" Aidan called out with his arm outstretched. Great. Now nature was harmed thanks to their carelessness. But they had one big white problem to deal with....White problem..How lame is that?! But anyway, the Vigoroth was approaching.


"Stand your ground." Aidan said. He waited for just the right moment....Once Vigoroth was close enough, Aidan shouted, "Poison Powder!" Maple shook his tiny bulb, releasing a large puff of purple spores from it. Vigoroth, so angry probably didn't anticipate any kind of defensive action. This would at least slow him down enough to stop his blind attack.

Hit by the poison as he slashed at the small pokemon, the Vigoroth seemed to not even care that his stamina was slowly depleting from the poison. Oddly enough, if anything, it enticed him to keep attacking, and in another moment, he formed an Ice Punch and made to bash anything even remotely close to him.

The Slash attack managed to graze Maple's bulb, but it wasn't much. More of an annoyance, really...Though the Pokemon itself was enough of an annoyance. At least Poison Powder's affect was effective. Now that that was out of the way, it was time to really kick things up.

Taking note of the Ice Punch, Maple quickly ran forward between Vigoroth's legs to dodge the attack. "Good job! Now Magical Leaf!" instructed the trainer yet again. Maple bent down as much as he could on his short legs, aiming the bulb on his back forward. He then forced a blast of colorful leaves toward the Vigoroth. Maple knew they were just testing their opponent to get a sense of his strategy, which was smart, since they were on the defensive. This attack wouldn't miss, which provided a good opportunity to see just what Vigoroth would do.

The Magical Leaf hit the Vigoroth and caused him to stop and cringe for a moment. Then the poison hit, and he cringed more. Shaking his head defiantly, the large white mass formed another Slash attack and charged forwards once more. It seemed that his stamina was rather high. One would have to push a little harder to keep this going right.

As the battle commenced, Maple couldn't help but wonder what Vigoroth had against that Elekid. Distracted by the thought, he decided to ask. <What did Elekid do to you, anyway?> But that question cost him. The Slash struck the Grass type, sending him skidding across the ground, scraping his side. He stood up, almost appearing uninjured. However, the hit was critical. He just had a high pain tolerance.

But Maple had other tricks up his sleeve. After taking the hit, he leaped into the air, letting as much sun hit his bulb as possible. Soon, the bulb began to glow a bright green as it soaked up the sunlight. The Synthesis recovered a lot but not all of his health. Simultaneously, Maple released two vines from his bulb that had the same glowing effect. The Power Whip Attack came down upon the Vigoroth's shoulders to hopefully whip him and hopefully knock him down.

Aidan saw that Maple had a clear handle on the battle. He thought it'd be a good idea to find Elekid and tell him that he was safe now. "Keep it up, Maple. I'll be back later." he said, running off in the direction of the Elekid. Hopefully, he hadn't gone off too far.

The Vigoroth bluntly ignored the question that was posed to him and instead focused solely on the fight. as the Power Whip came downwards, the large white beast formed a Brick Break clawing at the vines but still receiving damage. However, he barely even seem to register that he had been hurt in the least and simply kept attacking. What had put him into such a rage? He certainly wasn't answering.

The Elekid was now hiding rather far off behind a wall that was still standing. Her legs had crumpled under her from exhaustion, yet every few seconds, she would place her form against the wall listening in case the Vigoroth was coming. She was beyond frightened at that point and was more or less preparing to attack if she was forced to defend herself....

The Brick Break slashing at Maple's vines were damaging, but not greatly. The vines were such a small part of his body that it hardly phased him. When he landed on the ground, he had time to realize that this Vigoroth, though blinded by rage was under an extreme adrenaline rush, it seemed. Of course! Vigoroth were known for their...Well, their vigor. But perhaps Maple would have an advantage if the sun was a bit brighter.

He closed his eyes and slowly channeled his energy. In just a few seconds, the sun was shining bright, providing a great deal of warmth to the cold weather, but it would do much more than that. Now, Maple wouldn't have to charge his Solar Beam! The bulb on his back emitted that same green aura again, before aiming a strong green blast at Vigoroth's face.

Elsewhere, Aidan felt the heat of the sun. It seemed so brigh all of a sudden. Had Maple used Sunny Day? Regardless, it sure felt nice under the current conditions, though it wouldn't last too long. "Elekid! Where are you?! Are you safe?!" the trainer called, still unable to see him, though he wasn't far from the wall she was hiding behind.

The Vigoroth took the Solarbeam head on (apply directly to the forehead HEAD ON... yes this writer is a cynic). However, he managed an Endure and stood strong. Forming a Slash again, he retaliated once more.

The Elekid nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard the call, yet it was not from whom she had expected. Looking out from her hiding place, she stared at the boy rather quietly for a few seconds before finally stating a quiet 'kid' meaning 'here'.

Maple wasn't surprised to see Vigoroth still standing, of course, but he knew that this battle could easily go into Vigoroth's favor, even at this point. On second thought, it would help if Aidan was there. He was his eyes outside of the battle. Maple could only strategize so much on his own. That Solarbeam tired him out a bit as well, leaving him no choice but to take the Slash Attack. Fortunately, it wasn't as bad as before.

The attack sent Maple soaring through the air, which in turn gave him a superb idea! He flipped his body so that his bulb was facing Vigoroth. This next attack would not only be a STAB move, but it would also propel the Bulbasaur to create a bit of distance. Several Seeds shot out of his bulb, but they weren't Bullet Seeds...It was Seed Bomb! If Vigoroth wasn't careful, they would explode on and around him. When Maple landed, he extended his vines. Now he had the advantage, as his vines were his best asset in long range combat.

Aidan, after calling the Elekid's name looked around a bit more, until his eyes finally rested on a yellow figure. He smiled, running toward the Elekid. "Hey! There's no need to worry! My friend Maple is battling the Vigoroth!" he announced, running. When he was finally standing in front of the Elekid, he bent down meet her height as much as possible. "So, what happened? What made Vigoroth so angry?"

The Vigoroth was hit by the attack repeatedly and forced back each time. Suddenly sucking in a great deal of air, the Vigoroth launched off a Flamethrower towards Maple. It seemed that he was still not willing to go down.

The Elekid looked tentatively at the boy for a few seconds. <He... I...I... he... I was passing as he was training, and he just came after me ;-;''' > she answered back looking rather weakly at the boy.

Maple growled at the next oncoming attack. It was needless to say that he and fire were not best friends. He rolled to the right, barely dodging the attack. That would have been nasty. He had to play it safe again. Once more, a barrage of colorful leaves flew from his bulb toward the Vigoroth, and once again, he would be unable to dodge the attack.

Aidan gently struck the Elekid's head to comfort her. The poor girl. She was a total victim in this mess. "Don't worry. Come. I can show you that Vigoroth has his hands tied right now. I promise you won't get hurt." said the comforting Aidan. He held his hand out for Elekid to hold. He would take her to the scene of the battle.

The Vigoroth was hit by the leaves again and cringed hard before shaking his head. He WOULD not GO DOWN! Though..... of course..... his body was saying something totally different and was more or less irritated at the damage he was taking. Ah the conflicts of mind and body. Forming another Flamethrower, he shot it out of his mouth once more.

The Elekid looked a tad scared for a few seconds but slowly extended one arm and took the and of the boy ready to follow if need be. She was still scared but....but.... This human was ... comforting....
