On this particular day the Fire Pits almost felt like the inside of an oven, not in the sense that it was as hot as the inside of an oven, but rather that the heat within the oven had nowhere to go. The heat being produced by the nearby volcano was unable to escape the thick layer of clouds that hovered directly overhead. It was like putting a blanket over the area which kept the heat inside. This particular phenomenon, as Devin had learned in school was called the greenhouse effect.
At this moment, Devin the temperature wasn't too high yet since it was still a bit early in the day, but the air did feel somewhat thick as if the air pressure was slightly higher which made it slightly difficult to breathe. Even so, Devin trudged his way past a number of black rocks easily as he made his way through the rocky terrain.

“ I swear to Arceus if you wake me up one more time…” Sen cursed at the large spider type pokemon as she continued to poke him with one of her long legs. “ I told you before, if you can’t handle the heat just go back into the poke ball.” Ada cringed at the sound of going back onto her pokeball. The large Ariados hadn’t been inside it very often and refused to start using even if it meant hanging around a place that felt like a sauna. She absolutely hated the heat but she hated her pokeball even more. This was why she continued to wake up Sen. She wanted him to leave this place but he didn’t feel like it. Why? Firstly because he had been up all night working a few jobs. Secondly because he found this place to be quiet. Thirdly because he could sleep just about anywhere including beside a volcano. Just the thought of it bothered her. With one hand Sen pushed her head away and closed his eyes again. The long red haired man was sleeping on top of a rather large, blackish coloured rock. It was long enough that he could lay out on it and in enough shade that… well no, he was still boiling in this heat but he didn’t mind. He hadn’t had his eyes closed for long before Ada once again poked him causing to him to blink his eyes open again. “ Ada, I’m seriously going to… oh” His eyes had caught the glimpse of brown haired man walking their way. It was enough that he sat up to see exactly who it was. Of course, it was no one he recognized and almost decided to flop himself back down to sleep some more. [/blockquote]

At this point, Devin was getting quite thirsty. He took a canteen out of his backpack and held it up to his mouth to try and take a few sips. Much to his disappointment, only a few drops from the canteen fell into his mouth. It was crazy! He could've sworn that he had Blastoise fill the canteen up just 15 minutes ago. I guess it was just a testament to how hot it was, and how quickly he needed to drink water. He really wished that he didn't need to bother Blastoise again, but he was thirsty and needed water.
With a sigh, Devin took out Blastoise's Pokeball, and opened it up in his hand. When Blastoise had appeared Devin said to it, "Blastoise I'm sorry to bug you, but could you fill up my canteen again?" Blastoise let out a loud sigh. This was the fifth time today, that Devin had asked it to refill his canteen, and he was getting somewhat tired of it. Even so, he couldn't let his longtime partner die of thirst, and so Blastoise shot a very gentle water gun attack out of one of the water cannons on its back and quickly filled the canteen up.
Only seconds later, Devin thought he heard a sound coming from nearby, which was surprising to him considering he figured that no one else would be out here in this barren wasteland. He turned and saw what appeared to a man laying on top of a black rock. Devin immediately noticed that this man looked familiar for some reason, though he didn't know why. He could've sworn that he had never met this man before, so why did it seem like Devin had seen him from somewhere. In reality, Devin had actually seen his face on a somewhat torn up wanted poster in Scorch City. However, because there were so many wanted posters hanging around the city, and because he had only been able to look at each one for a few seconds, his mind couldn't immediately process this information.

“ You were pointing out the man, right?” Sen asked the Ariados. If she wasn’t he figured he needed a good drink of water or something because the heat truly was getting to his mind. Luckily for him the Ariados nodded. After she nodded Sen let out a long sigh and flipped his legs over the edge of the large rock. He’d come here hoping that no one would be around to wake him up. It seemed between Ada and other living beings he wasn’t getting any sleep at all tonight…. Err day. Well day was like night to him. “ You realize he can see you, right?” He than added causing Ada to nod her head. Normally she would run and hide when someone else was around. It was kind of odd that she was still standing in plain sight. The only reason she didn’t decide to hide was because she was afraid of running into spots where the stone might be too hot for her feet. She didn’t like this place at all. After she nodded Sen looked back up at Devin before tilting his head, smiling and waving. He had no intentions of stealing from this man. He had already made his quota and had plenty left over for his other needs. Well, that was if he didn’t find someplace to spend it all. Luckily he was out in the middle of no where and didn’t believe he could spend it nothing. He did, on the other hand, keep his pouch of stolen goods close on hand. He didn’t want what he stole to be stolen from him as well. He’d had it happen before. It was a pain in the behind. So than why the smile and wave? Well, he was always smiling. It was like he couldn’t frown. Which was true, he couldn’t. He never felt sad, ashamed, angered or anything of the sorts. Perhaps why he made such a good thief. [/blockquote]

Devin really wasn't paying attention to anything other than the man who was laying on the rock, until the movements of his head forced Devin to move his gaze in order to keep track of the man. He was still studying the mans face because he still couldn't figure out why he seemed so familiar. He didn't even notice the man smile and wave to him. When Devin had almost given up, he almost automatically asked the man a question saying, "Excuse me, but have we met before? I think I've seen you from somewhere before."

Sen let his smile fade a bit as the man asked a question. He found himself thinking about it for a moment, searching his mind through the hundreds of faces he had seen in his life yet nothing came to mind of ever meeting this man. Problem was, Sen had met so many people that it was hard to say for sure if he had ever met him before even if it had been briefly. The only thing that made Sen pretty certain he hadn’t met this man before was because he was incredibly attractive! The brown hair, sparkling eyes, innocent look and that voice… oh it matched his face perfectly. Sen had to admit, it was defiantly this man’s voice that was drawing him in. “ Don’t think so. I‘d have remembered a cute face like yours.” Yup, he was already starting to flirt with the man. He couldn’t help it. Sen would have asked him out on a date too but… well they were out in the middle of no where. It wasn’t really date material. Ada hadn’t moved from her spot. She looked almost frozen their which was normal for her. She didn’t move around a lot though that was mostly because she was normally hiding. She did, however, mentally roll her eyes as Sen began to flirt with the other man. Honestly, he flirted with everyone who had two legs and stood up straight. [/blockquote]

Devin continued to study the mans face, still trying to process where he remembered seeing him. He suddenly remembered that he had in fact seen his face on a poster, but still couldn't figure out what the poster was for. Before Devin could think any more about this his ears caught the sound of the mans answer to his question, and it certainly sounded awkward. The man had referred to Devin's face as being cute. This was extremely confusing to him. Cute? With a bewildered look on his face, Devin said to the man in a very confused tone, "Excuse me?"

Sen’s smile only grew that much bigger when the man replied. That told him two things; the man wasn’t gay and he wasn’t use to being hit on by another man. At least, most who gave Sen that sort of a response followed those two statements. It only made hitting on them that much more fun. “ No, I haven‘t met a stunning good looking man like yourself before” Sen replied, leaning over a bit as he set his elbow onto one of his kneed and placed his head into the palm of his hand. He had feeling Devin had heard what he had said the first time and really his repeated answer now was only to get even more of a reaction out of Devin. [/blockquote]

Devin suddenly took a step backwards as he heard the mans response to his question. He wasn't sure if the man was trying to freak him out into leaving or if there was some other reason for his behavior. Without missing a beat, Devin said, "Ya know, if you're trying to freak me out, then you're doing a pretty good job of it!" Devin's facial reactions and movements to the mans questions suddenly got Blastoise's attention. Blastoise interpreted this situation as being threatening to Devin in some way, and immediately glared at the man, and stepped forward to put himself in between Devin and this strange man, acting as a barrier between the two.

Sen chuckled to himself as Devin took a few steps back and claimed he was successfully freaking him out. Well, freaking the man out wasn’t exactly what he had been trying to do. “ I apologize, I was merely giving you a complement.” He replied watching as the large water type moved to act as a barrier between them. Well, he certainly didn’t want to start a fight with that pokemon. After all, Sen was a thief, not a fighter. One of his best qualities was running away. But he felt no reason to run either. Ada on the other hand was about to step forward in an attempt to tell the Blastoise to back off. However before she could, Sen held out his free hand and stopped her. Once he was certain she wasn’t going to start a fight, he stood himself up on the rock and gave a low bow. “ The names Arawn. It’s an honour to meet you.” His name was a lie, but that was normal for him. It was extremely rare that he ever gave his used name to anyone. Though even the name Sen wasn’t his real name. He didn’t know his real name. It had simply been one the Bandits he still worked for had given him. [/blockquote]

Hearing the mention of a name was a start in trying to figure out where Devin might have seen this person before. Regardless of the fact that Arawn did not seem very familiar of a name to him at all. Name! Devin suddenly remembered that the poster that displayed the face which resembled that of this man had a name as well, however the name displayed was not Arawn, but rather it was Sen. Remembering this information, flipped a switch in Devin's mind. He had seen this mans face on a wanted poster! He was one of the criminals that the Count had told him about!
Or was he? Devin figured that it could be a simple coincidence that this man looked like the guy on the poster. Devin couldn't just go around accusing innocent people of crimes without any sort of base, and evidence. Even if this person was a criminal Devin couldn't do anything about it unless he had reasonable cause to do so. Instead, Devin decide to answer Arawn's question in as casual a manner as possible for starters, "It's a pleasure to meet you Arawn, my name is Devin." Devin wisely withheld the information about his profession from Arawn, knowing that if he was the criminal Devin had seen on the poster, could attempt to cause him harm in order to keep himself free.

A grin grew on Sen’s lips as the man responded and he stood himself up again. “ Devin, a poet or perfect.” he stated, raising his hands up behind his head as he recalled the meanings of the name Devin, “ I don’t think you look much like a poet so I’m going to say the second meaning of your name suits you best.” This was one of the few areas Sen actually had knowledge on. Names. He found a book once listing hundreds of them and well, he had taken quiet the fancy to it. Most likely only because he had hoped to find his real name in there but he never did. At least, not that his memory would let him find. Either way, he had managed to memorize hundreds of the names and meanings. “ So,” He jumped down from the rock, “ Why in the world are you all the way out here? Clearly I’m the only idiot who doesn’t have a reason for being out here.” Ada quickly nodded at this, though she was agreeing that Sen was an idiot, not the only one. Though even Sen somewhat had a reason for being out here. He had at least been smart enough to remove top layer of clothes. Currently he was dressed with a black sleeveless shirt, his necklace around his neck tucked in under the shirt leaving only the chain visible. Both arms were bare other than the brown leather arm band with a green underlining. There was a purple belt around his waste holding up rather stretching looking black pants and then his normal black and purple, knee high boots. His coat and sleeves that he normally worse had been tucked inside his bag which was dropped just behind the rock he had been sleeping on. [/blockquote]

Sen's question was a reasonable one. It could be easily answered with just about any story, under normal circumstances. However, not many reasons could be thought of that would be understandable for venturing out into this place. With an extremely hot, and hostile environment, the fire pits were not a location that the average person would go to for leisure activities. Devin did have a reason though, and it was entirely truthful. He said, "I just came out here looking for a fire-type Pokemon to catch." Devin decided direct that very same question back towards Sen, and tried to say it in a tone that didn't indicate suspicion, "Why might I ask are you out here, sleeping on a rock no less?"

Catching fire pokemon… huh for some reason catching a few pokemon while being out here didn’t sound like a bad idea. He wasn’t sure why he hadn’t thought of doing the same thing. Well, perhaps after a good day of rest (He rarely slept at night) would have helped his brain think a little more clearly on that sort of thing. Ah, he should have expected the same question to return to him. Well, he had no reason to lie. He just didn’t need to tell the whole truth which was actually pretty normal. “ I travel a lot.” Sen replied, still grinning, “ And decided I wanted to come somewhere quiet. Wasn’t really expecting anyone else to be all the way out here. Though I mind such a handsome face showing up.” Yup, he was back at it again. He couldn’t help it. He hit on just about everyone and anyone who came into site. It seemed to be one of the top things he got enjoyment out of it. Yet he never did take it seriously enough to actually date someone. He was a player through and through. [/blockquote]

Well, Devin figured that Arawn's response was somewhat awkward, at least in his opinion. Wanting to travel somewhere to get away from it all, and to take in some peace and quiet was something that Devin often did. However, he would never opt to go somewhere that had quite uncomfortable weather, as was the case here. It just wasn't worth it to him. Of course everyone had different views on this, and Devin decided to state his to Arawn as somewhat of a compliment per se, "Well, you certainly must be used to the heat in order to spend a lot of time out here. I probably wouldn't want to spend more than a few hours out here." Devin noted the possibility that Arawn's reason for being here wasn't true, but still, he decided not to act on it.

Sen let out a small laugh at Devin’s comment, “ Yah, something like that.” He replied. Ada, if she could, would have been frowning very deeply. She absolutely hated the heat and she hoped Sen would never, ever become accustomed to it. She would wrap him up and drag him back into the city if she had to. “ So, where did you get your Blastoise?” He asked out of simple curiosity, “ It looks well trained. In much better shape than Ada here.” Ada hissed at his comment though Sen ignored it. He couldn’t help but tease his old friend when she was in a bad mood. Seeing the Blastoise on the other hand sort of reminded Sen that he still wanted to catch himself a water pokemon. [/blockquote]

Devin still wasn't sure if Arawn was in fact the criminal on the wanted poster, but decided to try and secretly probe him for answers. He needed to make sure that it didn't appear to be an interrogation, or else he might arouse suspicion. Perhaps the best way to draw Arawn's attention away from this subject would be to answer his question to get his mind focused on something else. Devin answered, "Well, it's a bit of a long story, I caught Blastoise back when it was just a tiny Squirtle. I saved it from a poacher, at the cost of breaking my arm." Devin suddenly realized that if he changed the subject too quickly that it would look far too awkward, so he decided to respond to the second part of Arawn's question first, "Well I have trained with Blastoise for a long time, but at the same time, in this kind of heat, I would think that it's reasonable to assume that a water-type could survive better than a but-type."

Sen laughed a little at at Devin’s comment about the water types being able to last a bit better out in this heat then the bug type. “[Yes, that is true[/b]” He admitted before looking back down at Ada again, “ But she’s too stubborn to go into her poke ball” He laughed again before looking back up at Devin. “ Can’t say I met Ada so courageously like you and your Blastoise but we have been together since… well since I can remember.” Which was true. He had gotten her around the age of ten. Had woken up with her at his side and couldn’t remember anything about himself after that day he woke up. He did have one pokemon who he had saved though. His Houndour. He hadn’t broken any limbs to do so, but the Houndour had been in danger. Some punk in the city was beating on him so… well Sen took it from the man. Spit, as was the Houndours name, sadly wasn’t that great with other humans quite yet. He was friendly towards Sen and that was about yet. Hopefully in time the Houndour would gain the trust of other humans as well. [/blockquote]

I believe what you wrote was actually very logical. However, what about this? suppose you typed a catchier title? I am not suggesting your content is not solid, but what if you added something to maybe grab folk's attention? I mean Greenhouse (Open/Mod) | Vicious Circle RPG is kinda plain. You ought to look at Yahoo's home page and watch how they create article titles to grab people interested. You might add a video or a related pic or two to get readers interested about what you've got to say. Just my opinion, it might bring your blog a little bit more interesting. elysionix.top
