I'm not scared... (Mod)

Ashter looked around through the fog. Trees jutted through the mist, and Ashter walked slowly through them, hands out in front of her. Shasta followed suit.

"Nice little adventure, now, isn't it?" Ashter looked at Shasta. "D-don't be scared, now."

Shasta snorted and squinted into the fog. This was nothing, she thought, and snorted again. She knew Ashter was merely here to show off (and possibly catch something...in this mist?), and smiled. The general spookiness of the place had worn off as soon as the Mightyena had heard something that sounded like music. Probably just a radio and fog machine. Either way, though, the Pokemon had to keep an eye on her trainer. That girl thought she could stand anything, and yet couldn't sit still with a bug in front of her. Maybe we'll find a nice big Wurmple or something, Shasta thought mischeviously, snickering.

[Jay]

Far off, a humming could be heard through the fog. However, it was hard to see anything that was there. A bit of rain seemed to sprinkle the area gently, yet the humming was definitely above it. Would the girl investigate?

[Ferorodono]

Shasta shivered as the humming noise grew steadily louder. It's just a trick, the Mightyena thought uncomfortably, her confidence and humor evaporating with each step.

Ashter looked around for the strange music-like tunes. "Hear that?" she whispered to her Pokemon, who nodded with a grimace. Small drops of rain skidded down Ashter's face, and she lifted her hand to mop them off. The sounds seemed to come from above the trees, but then again, the trainer hardly had a sense of hearing. "Let's go see!" Her motivation was mainly because the muddy floor of the forest was seeping into her shoes, not to mention the fact that Shasta's unsettled, freaked out face was priceless. "Scared much?"

Shasta bared her teeth lightly at Ashter's words but then grinned. "Let's see if I am!" And Shasta hopped (with about as much grace as a dog can) on top of a thick tree branch. Ashter hesitated then for a moment before she eased herself onto a tree limb, calling her Pokemon into its PokeBall. "Whatever," she mumbled as the girl climbed the long tree with about as much clumsiness as someone climbing up a waterslide. "All for adventure, huh?"

[Jay]

What came as a Gothitelle finally appeared and seemed to be the one producing the humming. In her arms, she held what could only be described as a large box of sorts with a ribbon on it. A... present maybe? However, before she got too far into range of the human, the psychic type stopped and seemed to look towards the girl a moment surprised that she was there.

[Ferorodono]

Ashter gasped as the Gothitelle entered the area, and stumbled off the tree branch onto the ground, landing on her hands and knees. "Oww," she moaned quietly as her elbow started to bruise up. The trainer's eyes stayed on the Pokemon, however, and the girl stayed in her position, afraid to move. "H-hello," she said gently, while thinking, Cool! Rue's evolved form! How CUTE!

[Jay]

The Gothitelle seemed to blink a moment watching the girl fall off the branch, and frowned greatly wondering if she was alright. After a moment, when the girl had started talking again, the Gothitelle stopped and calmed again seeing that she was fine. After a moment, she smiled a little and turned her head to one side over the package she was carrying. Hello she spoke using her psychic powers to communicate telepathically.

[Ferorodono]

Ashter returned the smile. "I'm Ashter," she said, choosing to state the obvious. "Your..um... box is pretty." She could not think of anything else to say, and looked at the Pokemon in silence, remaining on the ground.

[Jay]

The Gothitelle blinked and then looked at the box before looking up again and smiling a little. It's a present for a friend she answered back with a smile. I was going to a birthday party... would you like to come? she asked lightly back to the girl.

[Ferorodono]

"Sure!" Ashter rose to a stand, wondering what a Pokemon party would look like. "Um...are humans welcome? And..other Pokemon?" With this, she drew out a Pokeball from her pocket and released her Gothita. "This is Rue."

Rue blinked in surprise as she appeared in front of the Gothitelle. "Hey-you're my last form!...I mean, hi, I'm Rue." She smiled shyly at the other Pokemon in total awe and admiration.

[Jay]

The Gothitelle smiled a little at the girl and the pokemon. We're all pretty friendly, so I'd say so she answered back with a quiet, gentle smile of sorts. After that, she looked downwards and fully addressed her youngest form. Ah... hello Rue sh answered back remembering that humans sometimes named the pokemon they cared for. After a moment, she smiled and made a directional point through the fog. That way is towards the party ^^ she smiled gently.

[Ferorodono]

Rue jumped up and down excitedly. "A party?" she squealed. "Wow! It must be fun around here where you guys live, huh, with all the Pokemon and stuff. All alone down here, having fun in the middle of...of..." The Gothita finally took the time to look around. "Hang on, you live here? This is, like, a haunted forest or something! And Pokemon actually live here. Whoa. What is it like? Do you meet a lot of trainers? Do you always have parties down here? Is all of this forest this creepy?" She slowed down, breathing hard.

Ashter smiled at Rue, wondering how the little Pokemon could talk so fast, even through telepathy. Awwwkward... "Um, thanks," she said to the Gothitelle as Rue finally stopped talking.

[Jay]

The Gothitelle blinked slowly at all the questions before finally smiling and sweat dropping a little. <I came here after my previous trainer passed from this world> she sighed a bit frowning ever so slightly and feeling mildly... well... mildly hurt but at the same time numb from it. <But yes other pokemon live here as well> she smiled again before starting to walk. Far off in the smoke of sorts, one could begin to see the outline of some forms. A Hoothoot could be seen hopping around lightly with a few ribbons in her beak. A Haunter was floating around with a few boxes. A Ralts was helping a Kirlia set up a table that already appeared to have a cake on it.

[Ferorodono]

Ashter hardly stifled a gasp, cupping her hands over her mouth. "I...sorry!" The merest thought of death rattled inside her; the girl could simply not stand anything so sad. "That's so... I'm sorry."

Rue wasn't paying too much attention to her trainer and the Gothitelle, and squinted into the distance where the Pokemon seemed to be readying for a party. She then ran ahead towards the Hoothoot, calling, "Can I help?"

[Jay]

It's alright, child... the Gothitelle stated looking back a moment with a calm smile of sorts. It had hurt her horribly when it had first happened, but a few years had passed since then, and she had grown to be able to take it as simply what had happened. She would never stop loving him anyways, but ther ewas nothing more she could do....

The Hoothoot stopped a moment and looked at Rue with a gentle smile. <Sure!> she answered back with a grin. <Here help me by taking this ribbon here and we're gonna tie it around that tree over there ok?> she asked with a grin.

[Ferorodono]

Rue smiled widely. Ok, the Gothita said, picking up the other end of the string. What's this party for? And when does it start? I mean not start like 'let's get ready' but start like really start, y'know? And your friend-I mean, that other Pokemon, the one over there (she gestured toward the Gothitelle)-didja know that she is, like, my evolved form and stuff? It's kinda cool, huh, and she's really nice! She brought us over here when we-well, my master, Ashter-got lost in these creepy woods. Do you guys really always have parties all the time in these woods? I mean, it's kinda scary and stuff, and, well... The Gothita finally seemed to tire of her talking, and instead looked expectantly at the Hoothoot.

Ashter, meanwhile, busied herself by watching her Pokemon chat nonstop to the Hoothoot, not bothering to say anymore about the Gothitelle's former trainer.

[Jay]

The Hoothoot sweat dropped a little at all the questioning but then looked over and stared at the Gothitelle for a moment before smiling and waving a hand towards the psychic. The Gothitelle smiled back and then stepped forwards a bit before putting the present on the table rather carefully. <The party'll really start when the one whose birthday it is appears!> the Ralts had suddenly turned and squeaked out this explanation before the Hoothoot had a chance to. The bird pokemon chuckled to herself and then nodded her head. She should be coming soon the Kirlia's psychic thoughts expanded out towards everyone there as he continued to set the table. The Haunter flew about and then seemed to stop in front of Ashter before waving a ghostly hand.

[Ferorodono]

Rue jumped up. Yeah! I can't wait! I mean, a party! She then turned to the Hoothoot again, excited, and mocked a salute. Lead the way!

Ashter smiled at the Haunter and raised a hand. Then she turned to the Gothitelle. So, um, how do I help? I have reinforcements. The trainer reached her hand into her pocket and pulled out some PokeBalls. Ashter threw them lightly in front of her, and smiled as Shasta and Jackie popped out. Guys, a party is about to start for a...um...Well, anyway, let's help.

Jackie immediately ran over past Rue (whom she bopped playfully on the head) and over to the Ralts. The Mienfoo raised her hands to a praying position and bowed. Master wishes me to help you, ohhhmmmm. Me eat cookies as reward, ohmmm.

Shasta nodded to the Gothitelle, saying sarcastically, 'Scuse the little Pokemon. Gothita could host her own Cbox and Mienfoo could star on Broadway. But they're all good. How can I help? She smiled at the Gothitelle and rolled her eyes playfully.

The Hoothoot chuckled to herself and then looked at Rue before handing one end of the ribbon to the small pokemon and then heading over to the tree to help tie it up and make it look nice as possible. The Gothitelle looked towards the girl for a few seconds and seemed to think of something before suddenly ducking under the table that had been set up and pulling out some streamers. Want to help me put a few of these up? she asked with a psychic smile. At Shasta's comment, she found herself smiling and laughing a little. The Ralts blinked a moment at Jackie and then burst into a fit of giggles before nodding a little. <Sure ok...> she answered back before looking at the Kirlia. The older psychic dancer stopped a moment and seemed to smirk. Come on we need to wrap a few more gifts... he said making a hand motion before starting to walk off behind a tree.

[Ferorodono]

Rue hurriedly started tying the ribbon to the tree, curling it a little to add some flaire. She moved in a (totally nongraceful) dancing position, swaying and shaking her behind in a little happy dance.

Ashter and Shasta took steps forward to receive the streamers the Gothitelle held out. Her, um...style. Shasta said smirking.

Jackie ran to catch up to the Kirlia, jumping and waving her arms in a flapping motion. CaCAA! Make cookies, not war!

[Jay]

The Hoothoot was rather pleased with this and clapped her hands together when they had finished thatw ork. It seemed that worked out rather nicely. The Gothitelle smiled and then handed them over before making a motion towards the trees. We'll put them up like this/i] she projected psychically as she reached up and began to put one of the streamers in one of the lower branches on a tree and then made motion towards the other trees as well. The Kirlia sweat dropped a little but said nothing before finally coming to a different place where what appeared to be a large amount of berries in a jar could be seen. Kneading down, the Krlia made a motion to some of the wrapping supplies by it.
