This had become Damien's favorite spot. Sure, it was creepy, especially after dark. And it was haunted; ghost types were commonplace. But that was what he loved about it, especially the Ghosts. And that was exactly why Damien was here; looking for ghosts. Most would have thought he was crazy; or wonder what a ten year old was doing roaming somewhere so scary by himself. But Damien Bayne was not your average ten year old. One-eyed Banette doll in his right hand, his purple eyes scanned amongst the creepy looking dead trees as his white hair swayed slightly in the eerie breeze that picked up. |

Far through the mist, something was moving. It came as a shadowy form and seemed to be spinning rather slowly as it walked. A Gothorita moved through the mist rather gracefully stepping carefully in tune with a quiet hum that she was producing from deep in her throat. Off in a different direction, a Stantler was grazing quietly. A Hoothoot called its name from somewhere in the mist.

The boy's eyes sort of brightened at the Gothorita; the Stantler, he'd seen, and he'd heard the Hoothoot. But to be honest...normal types kind of creeped him out. Mostly because Ghost attacks had no effect on them.
In an instant, Spectre was by his side. The Shiny Gengar vanished into the darkness; then reappeared behind the Gothorita.
<Boo~> An eerie grin, complete with a flicking tongue, was on his face.

The Gothorita squealed falling back and landing on her butt rather quickly looking confused as to what had just appeared in front of her. That... that wasn't cool D: 'Hey why did you do that?' she projected rather irritatedly back towards the boy in that moment.

Spectre grinned that bone-chilling grin. <Why not? It's fun.>
Damien slowly walked over to the Gothorita, so that she was now between him and the Gengar. Though the boy said not a word, Spectre did all the talking.
<It's how we play. Hee hee hee....> The Gengar's tongue flicked again. <Do you want to play?> Of course, by play, he meant battle that time. For he and Damien, the two were usually interchangeable.
Damien giggled, watching the two. She was pretty.

The Gothorita shook her head and then shoved herself up before walking away. <No I don't want to play with you, meanie> she answered back before slowly dancing away again. It seemed she wasn't the playful type... or she was just sore over being scared, who really knew....

Spectre was...not happy. He glared, starting after her. <I am not mean...>
"Spectre...no. Let me..." Damien ran after the Gothorita. "Wait! He didn't mean it!"
The boy really wanted the Gothorita. She could play with Rita. And...Gothorita was pretty.

The Gothorita stopped a moment and turned back towards the boy frowning a bit at him but not saying anything just yet. After a few seconds, she sighed and shook her head. 'I don't appreciate being scared you know' she said after a moment putting her hands on her hips. 'This place tends to scare me enough as it is.'

The boy stopped and blinked, returning Spectre. "I like this place...you live here and it scares you? Then why not move?" To the mind of the ten year old, that made perfect sense. If you don't like it, leave.

The Gothorita sighed and shook her head a little. 'I'm waiting for someone, and I'll wait here until he comes back even if I have to wait in this scary place' she answered back crossing her arms in front of herself and sighing to herself. She'd wait for whoever it was forever if she had to.

Damien blinked, curious. "Waiting? On who? Is it a trainer?"
He smiled, taking a step forward. He really hoped it wasn't a trainer....she was...well, he liked her. He wanted to be her trainer.

'No...' she answered back looking back at him after a few seconds. For a good moment, she almost didn't appear she was going to explain any more. However, after a few seconds, she sighed. 'An Abra... my friend' she answered back. 'He said "wait here" and then went off and... hasn't come back yet....' she frowned a little before sighing to herself. 'But I'm sure he'll come back soon enough.' She nodded a little to herself.

"Oh. Uhm...how long has he been gone?" The boy's purple eyes looked hopeful.
Maybe if they could find this friend, he could keep them both! And if not, maybe he could help her feel better? Nonetheless...he really wanted to be friends with the Psychic type.

The Gothorita looked at the boy and seemed to sigh a little to herself before turning away as though once again unsure of whether she wanted to continue the conversation or not. After a few seconds, she shook her head a little. 'A few weeks I guess...' she answered back sighing a bit to herself before looking back at him. 'You haven't happened to see him have you?' she asked after a few seconds. She was far from hopeful at that point, but the question was easy enough to pose and rolled off the tongue rather coolly when it came down to it, it seemed.

A frown made its way upon Damien's face, and his eyes sort of saddened. The poor thing...
"I'm sorry to hear that. I wish there were some way I could help...." The boy clutched his Banette doll close as he thought. Damien really didn't know how, but he wanted to help.

The Gothorita blinked a moment. The boy was.. sorry? For what? For not being able to help her? Raising her eyebrow and turning her had to one side, the psychic type questioned this. It... was an innocent enough statement, really, yet she had simply not heard it in... well she couldn't even really remember a time when she had heard the statement. 'It's fine' she answered back shrugging her shoulders a little and sighing to herself. '............So you're not lost though, correct?' she asked after another second.

Damien smiled big and shook his head 'no.' "Nope! I love it here. It's fun to explore, and my favorite types of Pokemon live here. I'm not scared."
After a moment, he spoke again. "I'm sorry Spectre scared you like that..." Yes, people found the boy creepy, but that was because he spent most of his time around Pokemon, and didn't have good people skills. And what people skills he did have, he learned from Spectre...

The Gothorita had since calmed a little and simply nodded her head a little. 'AH.... You should teach him not to just run up and scare others'/ she half smiled at her own words before shaking her head again. 'And m...' she stopped a moment and crossed her arms in thought. 'So then you've seen the house in the middle of this place then, correct?' she asked.

The mention of the house made the boy blink in confusion. "Actually...I never went that deep. I always have too much fun playing with the wild Pokemon before I get that far..."

The Gothorita blinked a moment. She had assumed that he would have gone in that far given what he had said earlier. After a few seconds, she looked through the grove and then back at Damien. 'Do you want to see it?' she asked after a few seconds. Why she had brought it up now, the psychic wasn't sure, but oh well....
