Training had been slow for Aidan and his team, lately. However, it was Maple, his closest friend, who told him that the Fire Pits was full of great challenges..Though, even then, he was only quoting someone they were passing by in the City the left from: The city where Aidan proved his strength against a strong and moody Espeon. Yes, it was indeed a challenge, and a fun one. Considering it, it was time for tougher challenges.
You know, Maple, some times I feel like we're destined for something spectacular...Do you think I'm just living in my head?" he asked him. The plant Pokemon looked up, thinking critically about Aidan's words, but then shook his head. I think if you feel you're meant to do something big, you should do the best you can to achieve whatever it is. You're a solid trainer. I know you'll probably do some-hey!" shouted the surprised Bulbasaur as he barrel rolled out of the way of Aidan's "crushing" foot.
The young trainer laughed, falling over on his ass. "Hahahaha! I can't believe you fell for that! You know I'd never step on you!" he laughed. Though Maple did find it amusing, he didn't even let a smirk show on his face. "...Yeah..You're destined for greatness." he said, sighing and turning around so that he could smile without being noticed.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] So this was the fire pits. Lance, a business man and also a noble man had only recently made his appearance in the west. He had never seen the desert before and to be honest, he didn’t mind it too much. He had used the excuse that he was in search of useful materials his company could mine here but in truth he was interested in finding someone fire pokemon. Sadly, today didn’t seem to be his lucky day for that. He had seen a few pokemon in the distance but nothing that he found all too appealing.
Lance was now leaning against a rocky wall formation, a cigarette between two fingers as he blow the grey smoke from his mouth. The cig was only about half finished when he pulled himself off the rocky wall and turned on his heal to continue down the path, the cigarette now hanging from his mouth. He hadn’t made it much further down the path when over heard the voice of another human and what seemed to be a pokemon in the distance. As he drew closer to the sound the green haired trainer and his pokemon finally came into view. A frown crossed Lances features as his deep sea eyes focused on them. He had been hoping to be the only one out here today but seemed he couldn’t get what he wanted lately. Everywhere he went he seemed to run into someone. He was almost ready to believe he had a curse upon him. Luckily for him he didn’t believe in such trivial things such as curses.

As a gust of wind blew Aidan's way, a figure became apparent, though neither Aidan or Maple could tell right away if it was a human or a Pokemon...Though, if it was human, it was a rather girly one. Only a few seconds later, and it was obvious that this was a human female. "Not quite what I was hoping for." Aidan said with a frown. Maple didn't seem to care.
They continued to walk until they were eventually in front of the woman. Now was no time to appear disappointed in not finding a Pokemon. Aidan forced a bright smile and waved up at the unusually tall woman. "Hi! I'm Aidan!" he said sweetly. "Are you looking for Pokemon too, miss?"

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Miss? Had this little tramp honestly just called him, miss?! Lance left eyebrow could almost be seen twitching as the anger inside him boiled up and he struggled immensely to hold back his temper. But wait, two could play at this game. Lance could tell the being in front of him was a male but he had very smooth and feminine features. But then… did he dare scoop himself so low? No. But he could hint at it without making a direct motion towards it.
He stopped walking, lifting a hand to his mouth and pulling the cigarette out of his mouth. “I think you’ve mistaken me for someone else my dear.” Lance replied, his voice low and clearly that of a male. “But yes, I had been… seem to be down in my luck…” the last bit was mumbled more to himself then to the boy.

Aidan looked the woman(man) up and down, noting her(his) anger rising, but he couldn't really pinpoint why, until Maple pointed it out to him. <Aidan...I believe he's a man..> he said. That was when Aidan saw it. In his eyes. He had been seriously mistaken. Then he spoke! His voice was way too deep to be a man's. He had been way too surprised to even noticed his subtle way in which he called him a girl. Then again, Aidan would have been far from surprised anyway. Who didn't think he was a girl?
The green-haired trainer squinted his eyes and seemingly criticized the man's features with his eyes, looking all around the person's face. "You're right. He's a man!" he announced with a smile, to which Maple shook his head and sighed. "I'm sorry. I guess it was the hair? My name's Aidan." he greeted him brightly.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance looked down at he boy still clearly annoyed with him even after the apology of sorts was given. He was almost ready to strike him across the cheek but he resisted the urge. “Wipe that foolish grin of your face boy.” He hissed, losing all charm he could have had before, “When one has been extremely disrespectful they should be either ready to defend themselves or ready to apologize respectfully, Not taking it lightly like they would a joke.” It was clear that Lance was far from amused about the entire ‘mistake’ as Aidan was. But then, when was Lance ever amused? Not often. He was a stern, strict, business man who believed in hard work and sacrifice. He wasn’t one for fun and games finding them a waste of time. Aidan jumped back a little from the responde of the businessman. Of course, being so young, Aidan didn't see what he did wrong. His mother had always told him to apologize for his mistakes, but this person didn't seem to register Aidan's words. "Hey, I said I was sorry, didn't I, Maple?" he asked his Bulbasaur. The Pokemon nodded, looking from Aidan to Lance. Clearly there was a miscommunication issue. <Trust me. My trainer never meant to offend.> he told Lance, hoping he could understand him. Humans understanding Pokemon speak wasn't always common. Aidan nodded, not even thinking of the possiblity, being so used to knowing what Pokemon were saying.

Doduo - Female | Roggenrola - Male | Fearow - Female
Standing nearby, watching the two seem to argue, appeared a Doduo. The two heads just observed for a moment before one turned to look at her back. Sitting there, nestled in her feathers, was a Roggenrola. He didn't seem at all interested in the human voices, even when the bird tried to tell him about them. He was comfy... and that was all that mattered to him.
Hovering above them was a Fearow, either watching them or hunting them, it wasn't immediately apparent. However, she didn't have much time to consider the second option before a loud, rather annoyed roar could be heard. Whatever it was, it seemed to be a good ways away and perhaps in a crevice of some sort judging by the echo.

[scrolly:h(230),w(390),sy,as(padding:4px;margin-top:10px;margin-left:10px;)] Lance gave no attention to the pokemon around them, not only because his current attention was on the boy before him but also because none of the pokemon in sight were of any interest to him. Instead, the older mans eyes narrowed a tad as he continued to glare down at the boy. “It was a sorry excuses of an apology” he claimed sharply, completely ignoring the Bulbasaur. He had no idea what the pokemon had said and rarely cared. Lance had no ability to understand the pokemons language. He didn’t even consider bonding with them worth his time. To him they were tools of power for humans to use and manipulate. “Now, Aidan was it? Do you have a last name with that?” He knew quite well he hadn’t given the boy his own name yet but then, the boy hadn’t asked. So naturally, being as nosey as Lance was, finding out who this boy was and if he could be someone useful to him was more important. Just like pokemon, Lance enjoyed using other humans. He found it amusing to see how well he could cause some to crumble and fall while others showed their own true potentials.
