The sound of rumbling in the distance could be heard, and a crackling sound soon followed. The sky was threatening rain, yet it hadn't poured down just yet. Most weren't out due to the weather yet one blue haired man was there for one reason or another. Lyall Zander walked slowly up to the Abandoned Barracks and could only smirk a little to himself.
This was the place of training and was supposed to be the place of nostalgic memories of what the knights and the kingdom was like before the country fell to the rebels, yet for Lyall, it was not. In fact, the only reason that he had come was to see what was left of it, really. Something about just the thought about it made him smirk. There were no pokemon following him like there would have been on most days, and it was possibly only Lyall's kindness to keep them out of the storm.
Finally turning in, Lyall pulled at the door and then stepped inwards rather slowly before beginning to walk around the old place. Heh... this was... very odd... heh....

For many of the same reasons, Hanzoku, Shift, Shadow and Annabelle were..Well, they were already inside and in plain sight. The white-haired warrior had been scratching his head with his demon-gloved hand, noting small and insignificant changes made to the barracks since he had last been here. Of course, his memories of this place were supposed to be pleasant, for the most part. Returning, it just felt like a lie...One within a much larger lie that covered up the death of Hanzoku's family.
But such thoughts were forgotten when someone appeared...Which was more than a little odd. Shift and Shadow, standing by Hanzoku's side turned around just before the trainer, who had a very calm poker face that didn't show his surprise. "Hmm...Were you a Knight too?" he asked after examining the person a bit further. "Couldn't imagine anyone else being here with an approaching storm and all."

Upon seeing someone already in in the barracks, Lyall seemed to stop and stare before starting over. At the words on the nights, Lyall found himself smirking a tad. Well wasn't that pretty brave of the guy seeing as any sort of connections now a days could piss people off. After a few seconds, the blue haired man even chuckled to himself. "Well now that's interesting," the blue haired man grinned a little at his own words. "I didn't think a knight would return to such a place seeing as its supposed to be sad and all for what happened to it," he answered back not fully answering the other man's question just yet. "The name's Lance," Lyall stated rather habitually. It was the name he had taken up after all, heh....

Hmm...So he definitely was a knight. Shadow stepped closer to Lance and gave a slight bow, while Shift kept his ground and nodded his head gently. However, they truly didn't want to. If this person was a knight, he was likely after Hanzoku for his disappearance, but so far, their trainer hadn't made a move, so they didn't truly see the point in attacking just yet.
As Lance began to speak, Hanzoku slowly, and less than obviously, motioned his hand toward his gun, prepared to fire a few shots at the potential enemy, until he mentioned that Hanzoku would likely be sad to see this place. Sad? If anyone hunting the white-haired knight knew anything, it would be that he absolutely loathed the knights. With a relived sigh, he dropped his slightly raised hand and smirked. "As if....The Knights got what they deserved. I left just before it all ended, though. The Knights are no more corrupt than the rest of the fallen government." he said, in a satisfied tone. "I'm Hanzoku." he greeted with his real name. "I'm Shadow." the Riolu said plainly. "Shift." muttered the still unsure Zorua.

Lyall raised his eyebrow a little and shrugged his shoulders while mentally smirking. So he was sore over the government... well maybe this young man could possibly be a new recruit for the Black Knights... though if he was sore, there could be people that were in the Black Knights at the moment that he could potentially upset. Would he take such a chance and have more fighting in the group? Well, it depended just how good this guy was, heh... His name rang no bells to the blue haired man, and this fact also worried Lyall a bit. "Nah," he finally answered back after a few seconds shaking his head. "Not the bulk anyways," After a moment, he nodded towards the pokemon as well. "The kingdom coming down was something rather interesting in itself." A rather cool smirk came to Lyall's face. "And gave a pretty nice realization of sorts." He'd wait and see what Hanzoku said to this before he proceeded.

In the middle of Lyall's last sentence, a loud pop and explosion of light exploded from Hanzoku's waist He wasn't surprised. Annabelle liked to hop in and out of her Pokeball every now and then. Looking around, she felt a chill, remembering the barracks as well as Hanzoku and the rest of the team. "And we're here because?" she asked with a bit of sass in her throat. Hanzoku simply chuckled and started walking around the Barracks, examining the emptiness of it, as if he was checking out a house he was interested in purchasing.
Shadow quickly jumped up with a backflip, landing on Annabelle's head, who didn't flinch. In truth, she was quite used to the Riolu's ninja-like behavior. "The barracks were cool...Before we found out your captain was a douche, right Hanzoku?" she stated and asked him. "Long story..." he said to Lyall, glancing at him. He appeared to not want to think too much about it. Being in that place (and trapped from the weather) was hard enough. Even with company, he was ready to leave.
But he had an opportunity to focus on other things. Lyall seemed to know much about the knights and the government. He could direct his attention to him. "Were you a knight as well?" he asked, hoping for a "no", though he had a feeling he was one. If he was...Well, Hanzoku would just have to wait for the answer to decide what to do next.

Lyall threw back his head and chuckled to himself. "Were being the key word, yes I was," he answered back slowly shaking his head a bit eying Hanz carefully. "But as I said, the kingdom went to hell, and I found myself not liking the place.....took a few people and made a different group, heh... we're called the Black Knights now... and do what we want because we can," he smirked a little waiting to see the man's reaction. If everything went downhill, well, Lyall'd just have to fight his way out, heh.

Everyone went to look directly at Lyall when he mentioned his group called "The Black Knights." More than anyone, Hanzoku wanted to know just what it was about and why he hadn't heard of it. "What do you mean...You do what you want?" he asked interrogatively. That was when Annabelle yawned and gave Hanz a sleepy look. "Oh, you don't know about the Black Knights? she asked condescendingly before lifting her head upward as to look high-class for knowing something her trainer didn't know.
However, Hanzoku wasn't fooled. Annabelle couldn't have known about them without him knowing as well. If she wasn't around, she was in her Pokeball. "Annabelle...Seriously...I want to know what it is." he told her with more interest in the subject, rather than his dragon's bluff. His attention was once again, given to Lyall.

A small smirk came to Lyall's face. "We do what is good for the group first and foremost, but we're also active in the rebel forces," he answered back with ease. Oh he was just reeling in the fish now. More comrades meant the group would get stronger, and who the hell was going to deny that on any accounts?

As Lyall explained, Annabell nodded her head in a way that would show that she knew exactly what Lyall was talking about, all the while glancing back at Hanzoku to see if he thought she truly did know. Unfortunately, his eyes were glued to Lyall's. So they were a group of rebel knights...Interesting.
"So....how's that working out for you?" he asked, almost underestimating how powerful the group may have been. Though Hanzoku was genuinely curious, the others gave him a look that said he should probably have sounded more serious.
